[music] >> What is going on everybody? Fire Chicken here back at the scrapyard. Welcome. It's Wednesday. It's middle of the week. Picked a random time to do 15 minutes of Fire Chicken. What's up Jason? Um so we just shut down >> [clears throat] >> we just shut down our live stream that we had going for 24 hours. Um I got to say guys, it was our biggest live stream of all time. We had over 56 million views on a live stream.

I I don't even I I I don't even know how this happened. But but we live streamed we streamed I guess you could say and ended up like I said with with another and 17,000 subscribers. What's up Jeff? 17,000 subscribers off that stream as well. So um in the last 3 days we have pulled in 94 million views and got over 30,000 subscribers. I just like I'm just blown away. Um 6 years of doing this and I just I'm still getting surprised on stuff.

So um if if you don't know who I am maybe you just watch on Insta maybe you just see clips, but I'm I'm in every video just about and some of the videos you can't see me. I'm holding the camera. Um but I'm Fire Chicken. I'm the creator. I created the scrapyard back in I created the name back in 2019. Then we became a branch of another organization for about 5 years. And then we separated from that um organization almost a year ago.

And our growth since then has just been exponential. Like It it's a beautiful thing. We've really grown a lot. I I want to say we've picked up 250,000 subscribers, you know, in the last year. Just it's just amazing. Um but we got so much so much going on. Not just the the YouTube channel and the subscriber count and all that. We just had our 6-year anniversary event which was our biggest [clears throat] event of all time.

We had 50 over 50 in one day. We had some special guests come out. John and Chelsea Dotson came out. Um John Dotson is the former UFC fighter, current BKFC champion, winner of The Ultimate Fighter. Britney, thank you. Appreciate that so much. What's up, Diego? Um is this >> [laughter] >> That's kind of funny that you say that. I have heard that so much about the Justin Gaethje thing. So Um hey, you know what? He's champ.

I'll take that. But anyway, again, I just want to say thank you so much to you guys. Um football, nice. You guys are the ones that watch our videos and and keep this whole thing moving. Like if it wasn't for you guys, nobody be watching our videos, right? And I hear this all the time. I hear people say like I like this more than the UFC. And I get it, you know, we have more so like your average type person get in there and fight.

Um Joseph, look, if you go to our YouTube channel, the main part of our YouTube channel, go to videos. I put out a new fight almost every day. And here in a few hours uh what's up Recon? I'll put out another new fight. So, constantly putting out new footage. Um I just edited one. It will be Let's see here, in the membership section. Um probably in the next I don't know, 30 minutes. I don't have a thumbnail for it yet.

But if you're a member of the channel, um that's why people like to pay for the membership because you get a chance to see all the fights before they're they're public. Plus you get to see the live streams, the real live streams, the ones that are in real time with commentators. I get it, not everybody wants to do that. I respect that. We do put all of our fights out for free for everybody eventually. What's up What's up Dat Boy Ant?

Um so yeah, we we try to make it so that everybody gets a chance to see our content. Not just the paid members. The paid members just get a chance to see it first. You have to realize if we have, you know, 50 fights in one day, I can't put out like, you know, three, four fights in a day. So what I do is I edit a couple and I time release them like I put out one a day. Um or else I like oversaturate the channel. And uh so yeah, if if you want to see our stuff early, become a member.

That's But if you if you're happy with just seeing it the way it is now, I mean that's cool, too. Appreciate you. But definitely subscribe. Definitely hit that subscribe button. It's free. We've also been growing really big on Instagram. So, if you're not following us on Instagram, we are over 2 million. We're almost at 2.1 million on Instagram. Um but the real sleeper is our Facebook. Um tell me you watch every single video since you dropped cuz that's what I'm training for. Oh, nice. Hope I hope you come out someday to the scrapyard. Um where the real sleeper though is is Facebook. We're up to almost 800,000 followers.

And uh Um El Diablo's never fought for us. I think people get us mixed up with another organization, but we're the scrapyard, okay? The scrapyard has never had El Diablo. So. Um what else, guys? Um you want to hear more about what what we got going on? What do you guys want to hear about? I got some things I can talk about. You know what? I'll just go through the list. Okay. Recent event we had our our August 22nd event.

We had 25 fights. That was a couple weeks ago. Great event. We were understaffed. I know all the staff wanted to come out for the anniversary event. That was great. But we really had people just kind of like take the day off for uh these fights are in Gig Harbor, Washington state. We really had people take the fights off as far as staff goes for the um August 22nd event. And which is unfortunate because, you know, the fights go on every single month.

And I rely on our staff. They're all volunteer. I can't say too much, but you know, when we have so many people not show up, then other people have to take spots, whether it's judging or whatever. Then we have problems with like the fighters not liking how fights were judged and all that stuff. So, um good help's hard to find though. I will and I and I will say it over and over again how much I appreciate our staff. Uh we even we even were like low on com- people for commentary, which is crazy.

We had fighters coming in from Idaho, Texas, Oregon, Canada, and of course we're in Washington state. Are professionals allowed to fight at the scrap yard? That's a good question. Um yes and no. So, like if uh fighter says, "Hey, I'm a professional MMA fighter. Can I fight at the scrap yard in MMA?" I would tell them no. If they said, "Hey, I'm a professional MMA fighter. Um can I do a boxing match at the scrap yard?" I would be okay with that because they're not a professional fighter in boxing.

Um how did I get James Vick out here? I didn't have to get James Vick out here. Mighty Mouse, James Vick, um John Dodson, people that watch our fights, that love what we do, they want to come out and and be part of what we do. Uh it it brings people in, you know what I mean? We attract people from everywhere. So, um I got my cat here. This is Binks. Yeah, he said hi. Um anyway, yeah, so people want to come out here, they want to fight, they want to participate, they want to be part of what we do.

We've had some big names come out and we're going to have big names come out. Um let's see. Am I scared to fight people? I fought plenty of times out here. Um, what do I have to do to to get a fight? You have to join our Facebook group. We've got 79,000 people in there. Um, another another thing that I want to bring up. What if there are professional boxers? If they're professional boxers, well, then they can't professionally box out here.

The the only thing that we could possibly do is some sort of a of a hard spar exhibition or um, I fight for my right to party. Uh, uh, I think like most people's cats that look like the cat from uh, that movie, her name Binx. How many fights do you have with a good fighter? I think you're just trolling. I'm not going to answer any of your questions. Uh, I'm the promoter. Like, I I don't like to call myself the promoter, but I'm the creator.

I'm busy doing other stuff like on a daily basis. Me training and getting in there is like low on my pro priority list. Is cat Binx against my cat? Yeah. Uh, my cat's not going to win. Uh, I spend most of my time training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Now, I train three three times a week. Um, I I don't know if if you guys think I'm younger or something, but like, I'm going to be 44 here like next year in the at the beginning of next year.

I just don't really I'm not saying that's too old to fight, but um, it's definitely not too old to fight. It's It's just that like, between training for jiu-jitsu, family stuff, running this channel, editing, um doing lives, you know, making appearances at places. Like, it's just not Like, I don't really feel like I have to get in there and prove myself. I don't got nothing to prove. I train with people all the time.

I'll do sparring sessions and stuff after the events. Um I still get in there and and and work, but right now, yeah, I'm just focusing on kind of building other people up and not so much myself. Um At this last event, I want to bring something up too. We had um >> [clears throat] >> And this happens all the time and this is Uh you can't buy this shirt. This is This is This is my shirt. Look, it's got the firebirds on it.

Come on. Um This happens at every event and this is one thing that separates us from amateur and professional venues is that we don't operate on the we don't operate on like people coming out and fighting kind of way that other places do. We do our matchmaking What's up, Paul? Nice to see you. We do our matchmaking at the scrapyard and we get a lot of people signing up. I'm talking 50 to 100 people signing up a month.

Um Bring Charlie's out off out if if you I know you don't really train him, but bring him out. So, we get a lot of people that show up. We do our matchmaking here. You know how many people say they're going to show up but don't show up? So, we don't like to do our matchmaking prior because honestly, like Morocco, what's going on? Then then we're like dependent on these fighters making it. It's just easy to wait till they show up, know that they're serious, wait till they're signing up physically, weighing them in, and doing all that stuff.

And then then we can match them up, and we do a pretty fair job. I know you guys watch clips of people getting knocked out and everything. That's part of fighting, but the way that we match everybody up, we try to do it in a way that that is fair, and that they were going to want to come back. But at the end of the day, a fight's a fight. So, um yeah. Uh it's just how it goes. Anyway, uh so, please, like if you if you sign up and you tell me you're going to be here, don't be a no-call, no-show.

Not that I'm going to not that I'm going to kick you from the yard or anything, but like it's it's just kind of tough for us when we're expecting, you know, so many people, and then I got call-ins and and all that stuff. So, don't be a no-call, no-show. Definitely don't leave in the middle of an event when you have an opponent, so that we have to make last-minute changes. That's really tough. Um That's all right. It's all right, man.

Um uh I'm I'm not afraid to answer questions. But you got to know like we have had people on here just trolling me and like really like, "Oh, man, I'd kick your ass." and all that stuff. Maybe. Maybe people would, maybe people wouldn't. I think that a lot of people underestimate me because they don't see me in there that often, but I've trained for over 20 years. I've got amateur MMA fights. I went three and one as an amateur MMA fighter before I started the Scrapyard.

I had a boxing match when I was 10 years old. I've done a number of backyard back boxing matches, which count them if you want, count them don't count them if you don't want to, whatever. Um I've done shoot, probably 40 grappling matches whether it's on amateur fight promotions or it's in here at the scrapyard, but I'm just saying like I I'm not just somebody that holds a camera and and does all this stuff. Like I actually train and get in there.

Um, so we don't really do weight classes unless it's for a title. We do 10-lb sliding scale, so say you're 150, you come out here, we match you with somebody from 140 to 160. Um, my ears? I don't know. You can You can say what you want about my ears, but I've had to drain them a couple times. So. That's uh I've had a hard time getting any more cauliflower ears since since I had to drain drain this one pretty good. Um, I don't know.

I routinely will pull my head out of it out of the submission even here in the last couple months and I'll I'll go to like check my ear and I'm like, okay, nothing broke in there. It's still it's not filling up with fluid, so. But But yeah, this one's not too bad. Um, it has a little bit in there, but this one this one definitely has more in it. Biggest weight gap in scrapyard history. Um, 200 lbs. I would say. David versus Goliath match.

I don't remember which match it was, but uh we will set up certain matches depending on fighters that want that match. So, we won't normally make a match like that, but if two people are like, hey, can I do a David versus Goliath match against so-and-so and he's like, yeah, I'll do it. We kind of try to evaluate their their um skill level and all that and we're like, "Okay, yes or no." So, it can happen. Um entitlement, let's talk about entitlement really quick, guys.

This isn't going to really apply to you that in the comments. This is going to apply more for maybe people that knew me before the scrapyard, maybe people that have been out. Um I go to the gym during the week and sometimes on the weekends. So, I'm training here in Gi and No-Gi right now in jiu-jitsu. Uh I'll get back to my topic here, but I'll answer this question. So, yeah, I'm I'm training pretty pretty good right now.

Um like I said, three times a week, sometimes four. I do a Gi No-Gi class on on one day a week and then I do another class midweek. Um usually Gi or No-Gi. I Well, it's usually No-Gi, but I I think I'm going to do a Gi uh you know, midweek this week. And then I usually do one on Saturday, which is like an open mat. Um but I've recently got like a lot more involved with the jiu-jitsu stuff. And I'm In 2 months, my weight's dropped 20 lb.

I've never had my weight fluctuate like that in But, going from kind of just sparring once in a while to um sparring once in a while to to like getting my ass kicked in jiu-jitsu uh three to four times a week can really do that to you. So, um yeah, I'm pretty much into that. Anyway, back to the entitlement thing. So, the entitlement thing is kind of more along the lines of like, "I know somebody and they think they're entitled to special treatment because they know me or they're on the staff or something." But, I really, really try to treat everybody equally out here, whether you're staff or not, whether you've known me for a for a time.

Can't make, you know, special arrangements and all that stuff. Um I'm going to ignore this dude. Yeah. Um Yeah, and I don't like to see people start act that way when they think that they feel like they should be getting something that other people aren't getting just because they've known me longer. I've had people literally come out and say they helped found the scrapyard. Like, dude, come on. Yeah, anyway. So, entitlement uh no bueno.

Not not good. Um I am dangerous. Yeah, he's not You know that he's banned from the scrapyard. He has been for a while. He he had a severe mental breakdown and blamed us and it was it was bad. So, um You know, a lot can be Okay, hold on a second, guys. Okay. Problem solved. Um a lot can be solved with having a conversation with me. Yeah, Dangerous has been has been banned for years. Um It It's just You know what? He was he was part of the staff and everything.

He was cool, but Hold on, let me read this. I don't even know if I'm sure if it's related. But, I watch First Amendment videos and they're really getting demonetized, so hopefully that's Uh we don't deal with any demonetized stuff. Hey. Yeah, sorry. You guys are watching me vertically. I was trying to get close to my Is that better? Um Yeah, I see the First Amendment auditing stuff. I'm kind of split on that. I understand people who are exercising their right.

And that's great, but at the same time they're also egging on just regular people. And I I'm not a fan of harassment and a lot of these people go out of their way to get a reaction out of these auditors or these auditors go out of their way to get a reaction out of normal people. And a lot of these normal people aren't familiar with with what constitutes assault and battery and and all that stuff. And they they use pepper spray anytime somebody comes for them and starts talking to them.

It's It's like I get it. Some people are overly aggressive and definitely deserve that pepper spray, but in other situations it's like, "Dude, he was just coming up to you to talk to you and you pepper sprayed the out of him." Like or you'll be in like um you'll be in like a post office and there'll be like 10 people in there and guy comes up to you and you're filming inside the post office and somebody comes up to you and you pepper spray the person in the post office and people are like walking out of there coughing be they weren't even like involved with it.

Do you really feel that you were that threatened that you had to pepper spray somebody in a close quarters area? That It's It's horrible. It's horrible. Um so I'm just I'm not a fan of most of it. I'm more so like I don't mind it when they're just standing there and filming. But when they're going out of their way to like push people over the limit then I don't really feel bad when when they get, you know, sucker punched.

I just don't. Um I also think it's funny when when people realize that all you have to do to shut those auditors down is walk up to them and blare your phone with some um copyrighted music and they can't use any of that footage. But uh Let's see here. You sound like an effing idiot. Auditors go out and constitutionally protected activity. They don't go walk. Yeah, you're an idiot for for trying to say that because I already said I it doesn't apply to all of them.

All right, you're tripping, Tony. So, it's the ones that go out of their way to push people over the limit to get a reaction to clip farm. Those are the ones that I don't like. I'm not against rights and all that, but if you're going to go out of your way just get a reaction out of people, you're kind of a piece of Um Yeah, they've never pepper sprayed anyone that didn't deserve it, idiot. You keep calling me an idiot.

Keep calling me an idiot. Yeah, whatever. You just don't agree with me and you're you're throwing a little fit because I don't agree with with your opinion and that's all it is is an opinion. So, I'm I'm guessing that you're probably one of these auditors. >> [laughter] >> And your opinion doesn't matter any more than mine, tripping Tony. So, I already uh expressed my opinion on it. I'm not a fan of all of them, but some of them are fine.

Yeah. Oh, they can get around See, you're like super into it. He's definitely an auditor, yeah. He's the He's the one that gets, you know, slightly bumped and falls on the ground and grabs his knee and calls the police and and presses charges. That is straight. Oh god, that is so pathetic. I'm an advocate for um you know, glove up or shut up. And I'm also an advocate of, you know what? Yes, you have the right to say whatever you want and you have the freedom of speech, but you don't have freedom freedom to consequences.

Um I mean, you have to accept those consequences when you legitimately piss a person off. And they might be in the wrong, they might get arrested for it, but that doesn't protect you from what they're going to do to you. You can't walk up to anybody and say whatever you want to them and not expect a reaction. Maybe it's a a reaction that you can't control. So, think about your Think about what you do and the consequences that could come with it.

Just ignore them, guys. Don't Don't even pay attention to them. They can choose who they want to monetize the dis channels. Yes, but I mean, okay, with the YouTube monetization thing, like I've I've been dealing with it for 6 years. We're in a ring, we have referees, we have a medical staff. Like we're we're doing things responsibly. So, like we don't really have to worry about it on our side. Um I understand like that prank videos and auditing stuff, that can lead to um reactions from people that you weren't expecting.

You just You know what? It It I don't care what anybody says, a lot of that stuff, prank videos, auditing, it's rage bait. You're You're rage baiting. Um hold on, guys. I'm going to It's rage baiting. It's rage baiting so that you get a reaction so that you can farm that clip and that you can get a million views. That's all it is. Um we don't have to worry about um Trippin Tony anymore. So, he's gone. He's still watching.

He might He might rage quit like watching this because he can't comment anymore, but um and just like that his freedom of speech was taken away. Go figure, right? Um but I'm I'm sure he's cussing out loud at home to himself. So, and guess what? I didn't get pepper sprayed. Sorry. Sorry, Tony. Oh, Troy. Uh either way, nobody will remember you. He'll pepper spray you. I'm I guarantee he will. Um Trippin SVT. Uh definitely an LS.

Um um camera a little bit here. All right. So, um yeah, that was my opinion on First Amendment Auditors. Um Why did Street Beast turn into four different channels? Um let me give you a little bit of background on that. Oh, in my WS6? Um I don't mind the Coyote engine.

I'm just not big on on four cam engines. Um yeah, I'm I'm going to keep an LS or I'll do an iron block. Um what happened with Street Beast and why there's like four different branches? Okay. So, I'm not with them anymore. I haven't been for about a year. We We had a separation um almost a year ago. And we've only grown since then. What's up, Danny? I do You know what? I am appreciative for them giving me that little boost in the beginning, using the name.

But everything after that was us. You know, us editing the videos, filming, putting events together, creating our own names, our own fighters. All our production quality, arena, you know, that was all all us. Um and I mean nobody from nobody from that organization ever came out here that ran it. So, I mean, it was 100% us. Anyway, they have they have some branches. And uh I guess there's there's like one in Texas that throws like one event a year.

There was one over on the West Coast, but I guess they got shut down. And there was us who we parted ways with. So, right now, I don't think they really have a branch other than the main one in Virginia. And from what I understand, they're they're doing pretty good. Like, I can't I can't hate on like their their growth and um you know, the amount of views that they get. But um you know, we're doing pretty good, too. That's That's really what I care about is us.

I don't like to compare it because I'm on a mission to make what we have as good as we can make it. Any plans to fight in Vegas again? Oh, for Tough Enough? Um yeah, you know, I've had some fighters actually express interest in fighting on Tough Enough. Um so, I mean, there's a good chance I could make it out there again. Uh I'm actually going out to Ohio uh in the next few months and I'm going to be um a special guest at some fights out there.

So, I don't know if any of you guys live in Ohio, but uh uh I was the guy that introduced you to Jeff at the Wands. Oh, dude, I remember you. Um Nacho, yeah. Dude, awesome to see you on here. Um Tom Let's see. How did the Scrapyard first get started? Um it first started when I went and fought over in Street Beast and I came back here and we started looking to laws. You know, we actually researched local laws and and were responsible about medical staff and all that stuff and we just started started doing our fights and I mean, it's only uh you know, grown for men. Um I am going out to some fights in the very near near future.

Uh local ones. Koga. Where can I get where what this is this month's event is at Sahara Pool. It's going to be wild. Oh, yeah. I think it's on the same day as our fights though. Um bro, keep me keep me posted on um I have a I've got a number of fighters that are like competing amateurs. I even have some that are professional fighters that have moved on, but I would love to like work with Tuff-N-Uff and you know, um if I especially if I can get a pass to go out there as well.

If you guys would get me out there. Um I I would love to work with you guys. So, um yeah. Uh like I said, I'm going to the Koga event coming up here. We have a couple of our fighters um competing and I'm I'm excited to see that. I'm going to Ohio soon um as a special guest. So, a lot of uh networking and that sort of thing. But, I like I love Vegas. I really do. What are some of the laws that were the trickiest to work out?

So, look, this is this is sort of like if if you're thinking about doing something that you're not sure about, just make sure you you um just make sure you research stuff properly. Um I make sure I do. There's a few things that I make sure I do. I don't pay anybody. I don't charge anybody. And it's all mutual combat out here. That That's That's kind of the basis of it, you know? If you just keep doing that and not deviate from it, with as far as my situation goes, then I don't really have to worry about, you know, problems arising, okay?

Um 100 likes. Yeah, I get it. This is probably just not one of those videos that a lot of people are going to watch because it's me talking. Um I am working on I'm working on merch, guys. It's a lot to do. I'm not really sure if you guys realize this, but I I'm the cameraman, I'm the editor, I'm the um I'm the guy that does all the promotion, the posting, that sort of stuff. So, it gets a little overwhelming. Overwhelming sometimes.

Um I'm working on the the merch stuff. I have a I'm working on a merch website. And when I'm done with it, I'm going to link it to our YouTube channel, so you can go on there and get yourself some good stuff. Um See here. Um I want to talk about something really quick. So, this this kind of centers around um fighters or people who have fought with us, representing us, people that are affiliated with us, people that are staff members.

And uh if we want to be represented in a positive way. We want people to think of the Scrapyard as a good experience. If they come out here, they have a good time, they make some friends, all that stuff. So, one thing I really pride myself on is a good image. And so, when fighters go out and they represent us and they're respectful and all that, I I really like it. There's been situations in the past where actually, I can't really think of anything in particular, but it could happen where fighter might misrepresent us, might use our name and say, "Oh, I fight for the Scrapyard." People just like, if you're going to do that, make sure you are What's up, Poland?

Just make sure you're representing us good or not representing us if you're going to be disrespectful. It It's I just like to have a a good reputation. Taylor Johnson was, yeah. He's uh he's actually uh still recouping from his broken hand, but I know he's going to want to go back to Tough Enough. We had a We had a great time. I I loved you guys' promotions. I got a chance, you know, you say Dana from Teemu, but I got to meet Dana White at at um Tough Enough, which was the last um amateur pro event I went to.

So, so um yeah. Let's see here. Okay. Um thanks, Dynamite. Let's talk about the video editing process really quick. I don't know if you guys are going to care about this, but if you're a fighter, you might. So, if you come out here and fight, how it how it how it works out is you sign up, show up, get matched up, fight. We record 25 to 50 fights in a day. Hola, senior fire chicken. Nice to meet you. We record all those fights in one day.

After the event's over, we I take all the footage, I upload it to my computer, and I start editing it. It takes a couple hours to edit each video. I love editing videos, by the way. So, John, I want to just say that. Um but I have a process, a way that I do it. And fighters, for the most part, understand that it takes time. Takes time because I like to make a good-looking video so that people will want to keep com- keep coming back to our channel and watching it, right?

So. Um respect the process, fighters. Your video will be out when it's out. If you want to watch the fight before it's out, it's most likely on our live stream that we had for that event. Do you guys ever get any real fighters? Yeah, I mean, there's a lot of real fighters out here. I just want you, Ryan, to realize that the viral clips, a lot of times, end up going viral because they're less um experienced fighters. We could have somebody that's damn near a professional fighter come out here and fight another damn near professional fighter, and you might never see it because it just doesn't get the the push that the the lower-skilled fighters might get.

You get it? Like, I hear people say, "I love watching your stuff more than the UFC." And to be honest, like, our stuff's more relatable. Um a bunch of famous MMA fighters or pro boxers have fought a bunch. We've had, yeah, a number of fighters that have come through us and gone pro, MMA and uh boxing. Some are undefeated pros. So, you just but you might not have seen their stuff because they might have just came in, had some good fights, and moved on.

But um so anyway, fighters, yeah, the the um expectations of when your fight will be out, just expect it within a couple months. But you can always go and uh I've been seeing fighter and nobody understands the time it takes to edit a good video. Yes. There are scary dudes fighting. There's people in here that I would not want to be across the room from, for sure. Um last thing I'm going to talk about and uh it's the documentary.

We do have a documentary coming out in the next couple months. Um I I I was supposed to get a teaser trailer Monday, but I have not seen that yet. Let me see. I have not seen that yet. So, I'll let you guys know when I see the teaser trailer and when I have a definitive date on the documentary. It will be on Prime Video. It will be um when it comes out. But we're going to do a lot of advertising before it actually drops on Prime Video.

We're going to do a local IMAX release of it as well. So, if you're local to, you know, Gig Harbor, you can come watch it. You can watch it um in person. Um Nacho, thank you so much. Appreciate you.
