The night shift is handing off to the day shift. And what they're handing off is a passenger sitting by gate 3 who could barely finish a sentence. She's already missed a flight Southwest to Chicago and left without her. A gay agent has rebooked her for 6:00 in the morning.

And according to the officers, she did not like that answer. Nobody is trying to arrest her. The plan, and the officer's own words, is to get her out of the secured area, find her a taxi or a hotel, and keep her near an exit in case she needs an ambulance. They even bring her a wheelchair. All of that falls apart over one thing, an officer helping her to sit on a wheelchair since she could barely stand. These are the events that unfolded.

Um my um cousin is also she's uh her name is Donna Runo >> and she represented uh Diddy and Harvey Weinstein. >> Oh wow. not something that I like to admit, >> but um everybody in my family is, you know, kind of a part of the um the police force in Chicago. So that's why I'm like I'm trying to be as as nice as I can be. You know, >> she was charged with four things. public drunkness, obstructing an officer, possession of a schedule IV control substance, and possessing prescription medication outside its original container.

Between the wheelchair and the patrol car, she swatted a sergeant in the chest, kicked the arresting officer, stood up, and tried to run. At the car, she pushed back with her legs until she was almost upside down, feet toward the ceiling. That's when she caught the second officer in the forehead with her heel. He wrote in his report that it left visible redness. The search turned up a 20 oz Baja blast bottle with liquor in it and two pill containers holding 78 assorted prescription pills.

The officer's report offers its own explanation for the state she was in. Alcohol on top of prescription medication. He writes that many of those medications carry warnings against exactly that combination and that it may account for the speech, the confusion, and the behavior on this tape.
