I run a lot of tests on dating apps to find what's actually worth paying for. And for this video, I sent 350 likes on Bumble Boost, Premium, Premium Premium Plus, and the free version. And the results were a bit surprising. So, first off, I'm not going to redo that. [ __ ] it. First off, here is the free version. 350 likes got me four matches. But the problem is Bumble only gives you about 25 likes per day on the free version.
So, this took me about 2 weeks to do. Next, I tested the lowest tier, Bumble Boost. And for some reason, my matches actually went down slightly. But the upside is for Boost, you get unlimited likes. So, I was able to send those 350 pretty quick, like within a week. I wouldn't recommend doing it all in one day cuz you'll probably get in trouble for that. But in Canada, it's only $15 per month, which really isn't that bad compared to a lot of other subscriptions.
Next is Bumble Premium. The results were basically the same as the free version, just faster. But now I'm paying $25. Ooh, I don't know if you heard that. Ooh. Now I'm paying $25 per month. And finally, there's Premium Plus. This one did give me one extra match, which is probably because your likes get prioritized over people in the free version. Uh but this one costs $35 per month, which is getting up there. So, as a whole, the subscriptions, at least to me, are worth it if you want to speed things up.
But honestly, like Hinge is almost always better for like 95% of people. So, you might just be able to use both of those on the free version and get by from that. Or if you are going to pay for one, go get Hinge Plus or Hinge X. Now, if you are getting Want to get one of these, I'll show you what the extra features and stuff are. Most of them are useless. Boost is basically just unlimited likes. Premium lets you see the people who already liked you, which is kind of useful, but I've explained this before.
I I did it on Tinder, like I had the free version for a very long time. And then I ended up getting Tinder Gold, I believe it is. And I had like 37 likes that were now unblurred, but I don't I went through them all and I only had like one or two matches because they're not the people who I want to like me. And uh it's it's going to be the same for Bumble typically. One thing that Bumble does do well is actually integrate those likes into your feed better than honestly Hinge and even Tinder.
But Premium Plus, it does show your profile to more people. This is like the one advantage. It's probably why I get an extra match because your likes get prioritized on top of the people who are just on a free version. So, yeah, is it worth it? I'd say yes if you want to speed it up, but only if your profile is already getting matches. That's really it because if you're not getting matches, it doesn't matter if it does two or three X.
It's like three X times zero, you're still going to get zero. Put a little bit more time into your or a lot more time into your prompts and pictures. Get Really I usually say like the benchmark is like two matches per week. And then get it maybe one, depends like your standards and your location and all that. But if you can do that and then get the subscription, then it'll like definitely be more worthwhile. And at the same time, all the subscriptions on Tinder, Bumble, or Hinge, if you wait long enough, usually just once per month, they will offer a discount.
The discounts are usually like the most expensive version or like the tier below that. Um but if you want to save a few bucks, that's uh one way to do it. But I'm curious, if you tried them, how has it been for you? Did they actually make a difference for you? Also, like which apps are working best for you? Typically, it's going to be Hinge and then Bumble and Tinder. For some reason, recently, I was very surprised, but Coffee Meets Bagel worked well for me.
I don't know if this is just me yet, so I don't I can't say I'll actually recommend it. But anyway, anyways, I'll talk to you in a few days.
