Yeah. >> Okay. >> Hello. This is I didn't read this. >> Um, >> by the way, Firefly, I've I've hit my >> honestly, I hated everything about this, but I like the I like just >> I'm starting a new chat. You don't have to read that right now. That's definitely not necessary to read. I'm just going to waste your time. That was Claude generated. >> Um, okay. So, goals and success metrics. Guys, we need to figure the [ __ ] this out. We need to figure this out. Weightless signups. I put me I put December 1st 20,000 weightless signups cuz what was our what do we need? I don't know. But are we >> like isn't that the point of this meeting to figure out how? >> But like can we just like go through the deadlines first and figure that out and then we can like get into the information.
Um, in theory, when are we We're selling in January. >> Mhm. >> Right. >> Mhm. >> So, we need to have our pre-sale. >> So, wait, I thought we weren't doing pre-sales. We're doing the 5-year founder thing, >> but we are doing pre-sales to sell. It's how we pay for the production, right? No, like we do the 5-year reserve to get onto the thing. Pre-sale is just a polite way to be like, we're doing a pre-sale before we actually launch on the site. >> So, when is pre-sales taking place?
Listen, Jan January is when we're starting, >> bro. I don't know. I I wrote this before I knew what we were doing on when like when are we like when are we getting the product? >> So, at the moment, it's going to be around January. >> Yeah. And that's when normal sell selling would happen. I mean, I don't know about pre-sale, guys. Like, what do you think about pre-sales, Mike? Do we do still do a pre-sale >> for the moment? cuz I don't want to have eight things going on cuz the one thing that we need when communicating with people is relentless simplicity. >> Yeah.
So then >> Go ahead. >> Oh, no, no, no. Sorry. I had nothing to say. >> Okay. So, I think what we do is we get the founder reserves. >> Yeah. >> We're going to have to cover cost of the first run, but at least the founder reserves. We know approximately how many people that we've communicated communicated with would buy, >> right? And then like we'll have to cover the cost of the first one. I think it was what like 13K or something in there. >> Yeah. >> Okay.
So 13K which we can come up with from friends, fam, scrap, whatever. But I want enough founder reserves that we are deposited >> like that we're covering the cost. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. I think founder reserve is a really clever mechanism and it should override the pre-sales gives me a lot more shirts gone baby. Okay, so pre-sales are gone. [ __ ] pre-sales. Um the founding creators is basically our friends um that we've talked to and they're into it and they're interested.
That's could that be >> they are the people that we're trusting to speak about it like when we get our like samplers when we get the first product >> just doing a card >> is that what they're doing >> I mean and a bottle of product but yeah >> okay >> so that's part of the first 1000 the 1000 units of PR that's actually that's and so you guys would I guess that's more your sage or right yeah with a creator And do you want them to sign something? >> Signed. >> Oh, it's just like we have them right like we have just them noted down. >> So you guys will have a list of 20 for go live as part of the launch. >> But we're paying them a bottle.
Okay. >> Paying them a bottle. Maybe >> as much as you want. >> We'll have to be like us individually asking them like [ __ ] politely taking them out to lunch. >> No, we can't. We can't afford >> guys. We don't need to beg, guys. >> True. It's just a little more confidence. >> Okay, great. It's just your friends. >> Um, so can I go back to >> We do >> 20. We have a thousand bottles. I think our influencer PR strategy could be a bit more bolstered. >> Um, it can be if we're putting money into it.
These are like 20 people who we know we don't have to beg to just do it. >> We don't pay them any money, >> right? For more. I don't know if I know that many people who have influence. A lot of them are in the US people. Yeah. Like most of my media stuff is in the US. >> Okay. So, of the 1,000 bottles, 20 will go for these. You're going to find 20 of them and then the rest you guys are going to have to pay some >> from the beginning. >> Look at me.
I think right now phase one is like we need to see if it works first here because all of our warehousing the tax everything at the moment for January go live >> just find manu like we own the IP we could just find manufacturing in the US >> it's just that's going to be a lot more work right and also right now we can't just copy paste the form we don't have the formula we'd have to find a place this is like a lot of work which I don't have capacity from now until the end of the year to do a whole distribution channel in the US But I do I'd love to do it, but like first let's just do this, you know?
Do you have the capacity? Do you have the capacity? >> Take that long. That's what I'm asking. >> Once all the shit's done, like after we know the product works, like yeah, we can that in a couple days. >> Okay. Cuz like I would love if we could have it in the US because I think we're going to get a lot of support from that end. >> But I also don't, again, I'm different than you guys. I don't think it's a bad idea to test in the US and see if US people will give us money.
Because maybe what we're going to find out is Americans love this [ __ ] and Europeans are like, I don't care about smelling like smoke, right? So even if it's like we don't have the plumbing underneath to actually deliver in the US now, I would still run the test to find out. >> Check. >> Exactly. >> Someone has to do that test though. How does that >> It's the same as it's the same stuff that Jamie's doing here. Is she >> Does she have Do you have capacity?
I don't understand why the >> I don't understand why what Jamie's doing in terms of influencer marketing, in terms of testing ads. >> Like the ads are in English. Why can't we just run them in the US? It's another button. >> I mean, are we selling in the US if we're not saying that's the whole point? >> We we're at the moment our warehouse is in Germany. >> I understand even interested >> in the US. >> Yes. But I think they are right. >> So let's let's find out.
Can we actually here's what I don't want to do. I don't want to go through the pro like this first one we had to do it so we know that we can deliver a product so we can test and see if a product actually works. >> Doing it once necessary. We needed to. >> I don't want to go into another market without having proven demand in that market. It is a cheap test for us to go figure out if there's demand in the US. We don't need the plumbing to actually deliver yet.
I don't know how I feel about if we're going to again advertise to the US if we're not going to send it or sell it in the US for the next year. >> Why are we going to take a year? >> Because at the moment, >> if we get a million people, we get on the [ __ ] phone with a manufacturer and we say, "Look, you're going to drop ship it here." The Americans are the best at this [ __ ] >> We're so fast. So much faster. >> Be more streamlined.
I know it sounds like a lot cuz there's a lot of unknown, but I think >> I personally can't support us for January. >> That's fine. >> Nobody's asking. Literally, this doesn't touch you at all. >> Yep. >> Okay. Well, get any units to the US. I can't anybody's asking same page. >> Literally, no one's asking you to. >> Yeah. >> So, what So, what you're saying is that we're going to do all of this but for and and target the US. >> Well, here, why not >> launch at the same time? the two markets because it's the same date.
You can say new video. >> Yeah, we're launching if you first like >> Yeah. And you're first and then we can say like if you want to be first when we come to America like sign up for a founder reserve us. >> They don't need to be the same. >> My personal preference is one step at a time. >> Oh my god. Cuz right now we have so many people in the US just from organic Instagram. >> [ __ ] me. >> That's what I'm saying. >> So if it's hotter there, go where the >> I'm afraid like we actually might have that as a problem.
I don't think it's a problem. It's just something we have to solve. >> That is amazing. If we have more people there and we have thousands and thousands of people in the US that want it. >> Yes. >> I think the smoking renaissance in the US is sort of the opposite of what's happening here with like the ban, right? Like it's picking up in speed and in popularity in the US and there are a ton of people who are pissed off about it. >> Can you guys just talk me through this timeline?
I'm confused. >> 40% United States >> organic. >> Yeah. Well, because you guys are Americans in Paris. That's the marketing. So, of course, it's that we looked at the We don't have the geoloc on our weight list, but I know a lot of them are American >> cuz you guys are Americans in Paris and the messaging. >> You can't change that either, right? >> Like that. Yeah, >> it will continue to look like that. >> So, are we going to bypass this and go straight to the US? >> But what Okay, here I want to understand what your like like what is the thing that's catching you right now? right now.
The fact that all of this we can't even get this off the ground in the EU and we're here. Shouldn't we just first see if we can do it here and then we can go elsewhere? Like >> again, I'm my at least what I'm trying to say is I'm not talking about actually delivering to America anytime soon. >> I'm talking about figuring out if there's real demand. >> But there is. So we've got the way like is it what more push >> all this like I'm going to say something that sounds bad but >> until people put money down it's not my mind is not proven demand >> not real.
Yeah. >> So so this founder 5 thing >> that to me is proven demand. >> I'm sure people put them >> Yeah. So so so what we're saying is we're just going to do it in the EU and the US. This founder reserve. >> Yes. >> So that's all we're saying. >> Yes. >> Okay. I thought it was like our whole strategy is to expand right away to the US. >> Okay. But if the founder reserve is like [ __ ] huge with the US and we're getting tons and tons of like if they're thousands >> founder reserve then how do we get them their product? >> That's the thing.
It's a founder reserve. You're reserving your spot. They're getting the first of whenever we launch. We're not telling them a certain date, >> right? Okay. So let's say we do found reserve. We launch in the EU. Half the people on Founder Reserve in the US. They see everyone getting their product in the EU. They said, "Where the [ __ ] is my product?" >> Yeah. Because Well, you have to keep them separate. You have to say if you're in the US like we're launching in US.
It's all about the communication, right? As long as you're managing. >> You keep them separate though if they're all getting the same emails, right? Like you can put it in the email. >> Two campaigns. >> But we don't have their location on the email list. >> But you have like when they sign up for the founder Reserve, you say where are you? >> Founder reserve. Okay. Cuz like right now I'm thinking like everyone on our weight list, we do not have their location. >> But like when you sign up for Founder Reserve, we're going to collect information about them.
We're going to say, "Hey, like what's your email? What's your thing? Like what's your thing?" D like you're going to make them do stuff before they pay. >> Okay. So, we'll get >> Okay. So, we're using the Founder Reserve. Actually, now I'm I'm getting less stressed. The Founder Reserve is essentially a second test to understand >> real test. >> It's the Yeah, it's cuz we've done a first media paid test. Now, this is a second test to see if they're going to pay and it's we're just going to see jurisdiction uptake.
That's what we're doing. Okay. Do we have a good weight list? Are these other people actually recall this? >> Yeah. It's just the moment we get into split messaging. It's like right now we can't even do one. So, let's >> We can We can do one. >> Yeah, we can do one. >> Lastly, Kickstarter. I think we all agreed it's after launch for to for expansion rather than for funding. It's more expansion. Making sure we have money to like do more production runs. more money is this.
When people love our product, they'll fork over. Yeah. >> What's the point of doing a Kickstarter if you had the real thing running? >> Why would we even do it? >> It's a good question. Um I mean, is it like visual visual marketing? Like seeing like our Kickstarter raised as much. It's always going to be on the internet. Like people can see. >> I'd like to do it before the the launch itself though. Like that's kind of part of like building hype and like catching like kind of a founder reserve but in a different area.
Some people are going to find their founder through an ad or through like organic or whatever. Some people are going to find the Kickstarter. I think they're different kind of getting toward the same thing. And I think having a Kickstarter is the marketing like you were saying, but having it before launch is important. >> So then that has to be like way before December. >> Yes. That has to be within the next month, I would say. >> Sounds good. >> I feel like Kickstarter can tie in with the founder push.
That's what I'm saying. It's just a different touch point. M um cuz the conversion message so if if the Kickstarter marketing push you create shorter assets for Instagram and Tik Tok from that and then the clickthrough will be join our funer reserve rather than join the wait list right that's the CTA >> the call to action of the Kickstarter video will be this >> so this will be actually a joint campaign >> yeah they have to run concurrently you're right >> cuz it's like women founder women I want to support this by funding and giving you five bucks right away cuz you're cute and you're cute. >> It's a great case also house that the funding. >> Have they seen the the draft of the >> We have not seen the draft and they cannot see the draft cuz they don't have the our so cute. >> It's very cute. >> So, so let's put a time like so when do you think we should go live with this? >> Um I think that video is also going to be good for the Founder Reserve.
We don't say Kickstarter at any point in the video. >> Okay. No, we don't. >> Um and so it's actually perfect for promoting Founder. Perfect. Like investors, possibly you. >> And by the way, so for this, you have currently 300 per month to push this for the next 3 months. So whenever you say go, we can build it and we can push it. >> So timeline cuz that's really important cuz like everything we talk about, I'm going to pop in an update for this >> and like when it's due.
Yeah. Yeah. >> Yeah. Um cuz that's really important cuz that's something I don't know. Okay. So and Okay. Target for weightless signups. It's a mixture of organic. It's a mixture of paid collaborations and also >> what were you paying? >> Sorry, paid ads. >> Literally >> paid ads. >> Paid ads. >> Okay. Cuz you said pay collaboration. I was like, who the [ __ ] >> My mom mixture of paid ads and wait this goal is 20. Will that be great?
Yes. Will it be hard? Very much yes. Because when I got the 500 and I did the 2 million views, I was doing that like I'm not even kidding like 8 hours a day. Um like I that was full time. Like I had nothing I did nothing else except for focus on this these damn trial reels. Editing them, putting them up. Like every single day I was like doing that and that's way too much time for you. >> No, I literally could do nothing else except for that.
Like that's the only thing I was able to do. So that's really [ __ ] difficult. And I mean having that target just means a lot of output and that literally means fulltime only focusing on getting weight list signups organics organ like content. >> What was the conversion rate on the 2 million? >> The 2 million got us was it like okay we 512 I think we had 36 before the video like 500 something or >> 400 what is what is the something? >> 400 uh weight list signups. >> Okay.
And how many like website visits out of 2 million views? >> It's a good question. >> I don't know. >> We did have those stats at that point. >> We did the >> because our website objectively >> converts like [ __ ] >> So I don't want to think like just because we got 500 out of 2 million. Maybe the website was the problem. >> That is the problem. >> Um that's >> okay. I mean this is a resourcing issue. >> Yeah. >> Or what? >> Resourcing.
We can't have Jamie spend eight hours making >> No, >> it was ads. That's just what I have to do. If I do five ads a day, like five um >> Yeah, but like >> five wheels a day. >> Let's let's just try to figure out what like the actual potential ROI is of this channel because if it makes sense to put money behind the channel and to go find someone to do reals eight hours a day, it might not be Jamie, but if you tell me that I spend $10,000 and we're going to make $100,000, I'm going to keep [ __ ] spending $10,000 10x return.
So I want to actually understand like what the thing is, right? >> I agree. But with with sort of this is what is like the most um time consuming like process of this whole thing. >> What takes the most time? >> Well, okay. So actually if we were able to outsource somebody who can take all of our footage and like lit and I'm not even [ __ ] kidding. All they have to do is cut six second click, put it to some [ __ ] music, test out five different hooks and angles, shove all them in trial reels, push the one that actually does well, and then we double push it with paid ads. >> Well, yeah.
I get that's a thing, but which part of that is taking you? >> The editing, the putting together, >> editing. Okay. >> Like going through all the footage and editing. >> There's really no AI editor yet to make ads. >> I'm sure there is, but that like there's also a learning process where I'm going to have to sit there, figure that out, do that. Like, >> no. >> I don't know. >> But is the content already taken? Like the videos are already bunch of clips. >> We got a bunch of clips.
It's just like recutting them and stuff like that. Like Dominique and I, for example, once a week, we committed to having somebody smoking our hair in fabulous places. Like what we did at Bonnie, that one converted [ __ ] so well. >> Click it, copy and paste that [ __ ] have somebody else, right? >> Short videos. >> Yeah, short form video AI editor. Um, it is possible. It's just like that is a whole other learning curve.
Um, >> which is fine. I'd rather us have like a bit of a learning curve and I'll do it with you versus having to outsource. And then once we get it to a point like in theory making six trial reels if it's the same clip right that whole like uh tweaking and posting >> takes 30 minutes right but the getting the video if we could cut the video from taking 8 hours to produce to taking 1 hour to produce because we spent some time like that >> this clip is you upload your stuff it automatically senses what good moments are based on what you said like there's like six of them >> so in theory there's somewhere where in one of the [ __ ] slideshows I've made, I don't know where it is.
Um, it says that once a week we have five trials. But I mean, if we want to bump this up, like if we did like five trials a day, different clips, different cuts, but also means I mean we need to need to >> build we also can recycle a lot of what we've used on >> and that's also what's going to help as well. Like if we had an external editor is that that like that thing would decide I said thing because it doesn't need a person.
Um, we can just say like the frequency like we don't want you to re redo all the clips. Like you can do like four clips per clip that's redone. >> You could take something from two months ago that you've already posted. Put a new [ __ ] caption on it like all the time. >> Okay. Yeah, that's all I've been doing. >> Yeah. Cool. Cool. Cool. >> Um, I think don't put so much pressure about five a day. You could do like five a week. >> Yeah, five a week.
I'd also like to see some of that time allocated for the stuff that sleeps on the feed because it doesn't look like we're posting enough. >> One will get pushed if it does well. So far, no power reels I've posted have performed well enough for me to pop on the feed, >> right? Um, but like point being like I'd like to see more consistency like on the feed itself so the people who are following us are like >> getting us back >> and maybe sharing with people like having stuff that's like very sharable like on the feed itself when they go to the feed there's something fresh. >> Stupid stuff that we don't need.
I feel like we need to we need to really move on to more content. And it seems like we're talking about content, guys. But the thing is my my workshop was supposed to be fun content workshop about we're talking about like like the fun stuff like what we were talking about ways to activate the community and what kind of like content are we looking at like we can do that excited. >> Um so yeah let's get into that during your workshop. >> Yeah.
And then so this is some >> Yes. I love this. Yeah. >> Yeah. Why sharing? This is like an example. Oh, we need to come up with a referral. Like >> cuz the thing is like if somebody refers somebody to the reserve, >> they can also do that. No. >> Okay, but what is a travel? >> That's with that random stuff. >> Okay, >> that doesn't work. >> What? >> Mike, this is literally AI generated. >> Okay, so let's figure out the real thing. >> Yeah.
Yeah. So, let's actually sit here and figure out the real thing cuz like our our fulls size bottle is a travel size bottle. >> Why? And you can't give away you can't give away a bottle every time someone if one friend reserve will never make any money. >> Okay, >> you're literally just trading one person for the other and you're losing a product. >> 10 10 people a month get invited to Paris. >> What? This is crazy. >> But are you paying for this? >> Yeah, exactly.
I think I gave you one of these like a while ago. Like a referral letter. >> I think we've all like done our own version of referral. Listen, I put every single thing in there and this is what it outputed. So I even put your document that you've made and I said please give me information based on that. >> Let's go referral program. >> Anyway, so basically so we have two different tiers. One where people are joining the actual program itself like just joining the weight list and then one is if people are actually making us money.
That's a different tier. >> Okay. So it's how many tiers do we want? That's a good question. >> And what actions do we want people to do? Right. And is it is this a program that we see only applying during the founder reserve period or is this something that we want to carry into >> I mean for instance >> huh >> oh no for this is literally just for the weight list. We can have referrals later for like referring products but this is purely weight list and founder reserve. >> So >> is this necessary? >> Yes. >> Yeah.
To this extent, guys, I just see margins. >> That's photos. No, no, that's why you choose. You choose what to do. Like this is just like we don't what they get doesn't have to be something that costs money. >> Yeah. >> Filming it right now. >> One friend joins, they get to join the private story, but we just said the friend reserve crazy deja vu >> of this particular moment. >> Yeah. >> Happened before. >> Yeah. >> We did this last week.
Are you feeling bad? >> Cuz if you're feeling bad, it's >> No, I'm just like, >> no, I like I dreamed this last night. >> Maybe you've done this before. >> Um, >> did it work out good? Did we become billionaires? >> We think bad. >> That's good. You good vibes. >> Um, >> all right. So, >> like, do you have a metaphorical shipping queue? Like, >> did you say a metaphorical shipping queue? Yeah, >> I can look into that. >> Do we have like like do we have a timeline with every single person and then if they do it they get to move up?
Like how the [ __ ] do they move up? Like the reserves are anyone's going to care? >> No, I don't even understand what that means. >> What What means >> like I mean if you're like you're number eight bajillion on the weight list. Like do does everybody get a signed up number? Like a number. >> Why would we tell them? >> Well, I don't know. Oh, that's what that's what Kora did and I check it every day to see if I've gone down. >> Yeah, but they're selling something different. >> That's to a platform and can signal more product. >> Yeah.
What's >> the platform she's waiting for? >> Cuz I was really curious. And if you want to get off the wait list, you have to pay like €20 a month. >> That's I would You could not catch me dead doing that [ __ ] No, >> I'm trying to be caught dead doing it. I'd like to make some money, please. Thank you. No, like paying $20, $20 a month, whatever. >> Dude, I'm going to get another one of those skin. So good. >> I love this stupid >> figure this because it's like >> this is important because the founder launch but when is we're going to do this in what like o uh September oc november November December.
Yeah. >> So I think Hickburger should start midocctober. That's in a couple weeks. >> Oh my god, that's crazy. How long you think so? How long does it run? How long did Kiss around, guys? >> Until we start, I suppose. >> Relatively like >> Well, it's short. >> Yeah. >> What about November, December, January? We're spirited months in advance, y'all. Like, we're spirited months in advance and they pre-sold over 20,000 units. >> Pre-sales.
Pre-sales are back. >> Like, >> we're doing a reserve. >> Yeah. Yeah. Same same [ __ ] different font, but like um they did it for several months and they updated people on like where everything. So I think the sooner we get that produced to show people like hey like we want people to be involved in the beginning. >> It gives us more time to to feel money. >> So so so mid October which is in 2.5 weeks >> mid October Kickstarter which it's still nowhere guys.
Like this is literally going to be a full-time job in Big D and I like I'm not like this is like 10 hours a day every [ __ ] day. >> No time for anything else. Like >> I will never tell you anything about like producing content. >> I don't know anything about that. That's all you. But getting using what you've already done over the past few months to get a Kickstarter up, I do not think will take all that long. >> Right. >> Like running the Kickstarter and making sure people go on there. >> So it's we're not running the kick.
So just to confirm, we're going to drive people to a the website page where it's going to have information about the 5 reserve. >> Good question. >> That's what we're doing ultimately. We're running paid ads. we've created is like please support us, right? Like it's like a really great piece of like shared content that should motivate people whether they find us on Kickstarter, whether you find us on our ch like social channels, whatever it is, whether someone forwards this via email that directs us like the Kickstarter video is a very broad term for the please support us video.
Yeah. >> Then they're going to the website >> and then they're going to write in details and then they're going to pay €5. Yes. >> And then we're going to send them an email and then you're going to put them in the community. That is the workflow. Correct. All right. >> They definitely need to be two separate flows. >> Mhm. >> You cannot drive people from Kickstarter to our founder reserve because the whole point of the Kickstarter platform is they put their money in through Kickstarter. >> Wait, I thought we were not doing Kickstarter. >> Didn't she just say in 2.5 weeks she wants to have Kickstarter up. >> Oh, I thought you're talking about putting out the Kickstarter video on social saying she wants to be Kickstarter. case started. >> I thought we should I well what I still think um is after the product comes out but I mean again open before >> but now I'm curious about your thoughts because where are you at?
I want to hear whatever this is. >> Yeah, we can pause. >> See, we can put a >> Let's see. What the [ __ ] is up with this PowerPoint? >> Like, this is the problem with AI generation is I'm having a good I was like reading it over >> and then every single time I read I was like, "Oh, I found something else to add." So, I put it in >> and it went from like a 20 slide that I like went through to something else. >> Can you edit it directly? >> I think start a document.
I gave you guys one more time. I got >> Can you pass the pen, Jamie, behind you? Which color? Sleep. Oh, this is ridiculous. Oh, okay. >> Anytime. >> Does it erase or >> send this to you? >> Does not erase. >> So, I'll have to do paper. >> Just use paper. >> Oh, they're not dry erase. That's erase. >> Yeah. Oh, dang. Oh, I can maybe go to like rip off the paper now. We can put it on that. There's a way where you can search like conversation for God.
If it's right, >> why is it trying to hit me? >> Okay. Or I could swear not so hard. >> How about we just I just I'll go over there. >> Yeah, I think that's Sorry. >> Um I think I just got my video. We'll find out. >> Hey, everyone's getting their period right now. >> Are you guys all synced? >> I feel crazy crampy again. Are you synced with Tommy? Cuz she just started the thing by saying just started hers as well. >> I said hang out with my girlfriends cuz they help my period. >> I feel the buzzing.
Thank you. >> Yo, can you download that document? >> Whose document? >> Just like cuz I can't download it. >> The tiny cakes. >> Oh, that. >> Does anyone else want tiny cakes? >> No. I want like a >> Oh, yes, please. I want your favorite one. You >> got the rest of my chicken? Yes. Do you not want it? >> Wait. Oh, I got crash printing again. That's hilarious. Draft one. Why can't you download it? >> I also can't. >> Wait.
Sorry. I blacked out here. >> Got it. >> Can you open it and see what the referral ladder was? Oh, is this like a to open with cages? She said he has a tiny cage, right? I bet he was trying to get He was crazy of me. Like pretty thrown. Yeah. riff. >> I don't even know if there was one in here. I just want to see if there was. I don't think so. >> I don't think so. All right. So, let's just make it up right now cuz we need something like Lois.
Who's Lois? The [ __ ] There we go. >> All right. >> Um, letter of intent. >> What? What? >> Lois. >> L O I S. Okay. Got it. >> Oh my god. >> Got it. >> That's Lois. Oh my god. Good. >> I haven't. Third one. Probably. >> That was a squeak and a half speed. >> Disney likes sweet stuff. >> Oh, interesting. >> I don't eat it now. >> I've just been added to three Ws fruits. >> Sorry. you actually don't like sweet stuff and you don't like make it a thing to say that you like sweet stuff and I think it's so fun. >> Sometimes I'll eat a sweet and can we do this? >> No. >> What are you doing? >> Why don't you esc what what is this?
What's happening? We'll need to >> because if we're going live mid October, we need to figure out the sets because you guys are telling me there's two different things we're doing. >> Yeah. >> At the same time, middle of October. So, can I just figure out what that is? Because >> there's we need to connect things. Stripes websites. >> So, Kickstarter, you guys want to have a Kickstarter on which website? >> Kickstarter. >> On Kickstarter. >> Yeah. >> And so, have we >> which is an American site >> which will reach American people.
We wanted to do it in France. We would do it in I think >> I don't know what the French one is. >> So Kickstarter, we're going to do different communications to launch this. So in two weeks, >> all the same [ __ ] >> It's all the same. It's just a different club. >> Correct. >> But so we're doing the same coms. >> Mhm. >> We're leading some people here and some people to our website Kickstarter. >> Correct. >> Okay. Okay.
So, Kickstarter is an organic concept. >> Yes. >> Okay. And for that, we're putting this stuff. >> Yeah. >> On the website of Kickstarter. >> Same [ __ ] >> Okay. It's just a different We're just loading a video >> and like putting a copy and Yeah. >> And where does the money go? >> In the Kickstarter, whatever we choose. >> And there's no fees. >> Okay. And one of them has to pay that. >> It comes out of the money that you raise >> at the beginning. >> Yeah.
At the end. So they will the money will go to Kickstarter. It's like you have to hit like a threshold, right? Like a like a minimum that you set. >> If you hit the minimum, >> Mhm. >> then Kickstarter will release your money >> and they take a and they take a percentage. >> Okay. So min like pretty nominal, right? Like >> I guess I don't know what it is. I don't want to put my foot in my mouth, but >> Dominique, you're gonna or Jamie's going to post it. >> Yeah, you would put your foot in your mouth.
Yeah. >> Okay. So it's just Jamie finishes the video. I can take it from there. >> Okay. And then we just let it burn and we don't do anything more with it. >> No. Well, I mean, we're gonna talk about as well, but >> but like in terms of it just existing, it's way more straightforward than you think. It's it's just another touch point for people to >> It's the same [ __ ] >> Yeah. >> And here we're putting this stuff. >> Are we leaving our list? >> Same. >> This is referral program. >> So, what is the benefit of going on the Kickstarter? >> You're the founder thing.
So, you get you pay $5. >> Yeah. This is not this is >> this is Don't look at the right column. That's ridiculous. So, we just need to figure out, okay, what what's the buy in on the Kickstarter? >> Well, most people on Kickstarter want to be a part of something early. Like, they're already incentivized because they're on Kickstarter. They're trying to like bring something to life. They like the product itself. >> Wait, so we don't have a 5-year reserve. >> See, that's No, apparently we doing both.
That's what I've understood. See, that's okay. Five year. Think about it this way. Everyone who comes to us through Kickstarter is just Kickstarter. Like that's their path. That's where they found us. Whatever. Like all of our external communication is driving towards a channel that we own. >> Yes. >> Everything. We would prefer this. We want this one. But because this already has a built-in audience of people with the right mindset, we're going to do this as well.
So, the people who are on our Kickstarter are not technically going to be in our founder Reserve, but we're going to give them something similar because you have to reward people for Kickstarter for being like an early backer, right? That's the whole thing. >> So, five bucks off or something? Whatever, >> right? But can we figure that out? Like, what are we doing? So, >> 5 years off. >> So, so when you go on to the Kickstarter website, you're going to see the video. >> The the dock, Jamie, >> and do people pay >> the Kickstarter thing? >> Yeah.
Maybe it wasn't called there was something for >> I would also like to pull up just to show you guys um what RP did because I think that'll be another context >> here one early bird. >> It's been a long time since >> Mike are you done with that? >> Yeah. >> Where do you put this bag? >> The 5 reserve. We own these people. Um why would they not want to just go to the Kickstarter? >> Cuz we're not going to tell them about the Kickstarter. >> They're going to find out about it maybe. that one. >> I mean that we're not on any of our socials going to talk about the Kickstarter, >> which is ridiculous marketing push. >> This is what I'm saying.
There's a weird double up. Yeah, >> I think it's fine. I think we're overthinking it, >> but let's think about it. >> Let's keep doing it. >> No, I'm not saying let's overthink it, but we have not thought about it at all. Hence, we need to actually think about it. >> Um, so, so mid-occtober, Jamie's posting the video on the site, you're putting it live. What are we incentivizing? Is it this Mike's little reward truth? >> I don't know.
I made this up like [ __ ] months ago. >> Yeah, I think it holds. >> I haven't looked at this in what, three months, four months. >> Aerosol access. What does that mean? >> I don't know. >> Um, >> this is all just like made up [ __ ] We have to come up with all of it. >> You know what? Everything is made up [ __ ] This whole company's made up of CEO. >> There's three things that I think we need to figure out. >> One where we've completely diverted was what the referral program is cuz no matter what we do, we need a referral program. >> Oh, we do.
Yeah, >> for sure. >> Yes. >> Founder, like we you guys just started listing [ __ ] that you said you want to give them. So, message from Dominique like maybe a discount in perpetuity or for the first two years or whatever. discount or something, >> whatever. Like, >> you need to figure out what all those things are, right? >> Forever, you know, literally something they're dying >> like memorial. Oh my god. >> Okay. And then the other question is whether it makes sense to Mona's point to even put effort towards a Kickstarter right now cuz Jamie I think actually had a good point that like hello >> we can do the Kickstarter once it's already kind of whatever and it's just like we're really early.
We need more money for whatever. The more I think about it, the more I think Moon is right, like we shouldn't have, just given the production that we've done thus far, I don't want to put too many things on the table at once. >> The same video. >> It's the same video, but like >> they are different. >> The Kickstarter coffee is just literally me filling it in. >> I agree. But like, are you going to promote the Kickstarter?
I don't I would rather drive everyone that we touch to something that we own. I >> that's fine. But I still think the Kickstarter should should exist. >> If you want to give it up, then just let it sit there. >> But like people can find us like actively trying to like bring new companies to life. I think it would be stupid the assets to not use it. >> All I'm saying is I don't want any of our like socials or anything else to be like >> go to our Kickstarter.
No, I want everyone to go to the >> That's fine. I'm totally fine with that. Okay. So that's nice. So here we're not pushing socially, but what are we offering on the Kickstarter? >> Is this idea? >> Okay, never mind. So long 5 off. >> So it's the same deal. >> Yeah. Yeah, same deal. That way like someone doesn't feel like, oh, I could have got a better deal if like I went over there, but they found us on Kickstarter. >> Or you can ask them for more money on Kickstarter and you can say, "We'll send you your bottle." Like, >> well, yeah, because literally we are doing different tiers.
Like some people What the [ __ ] is my mouse? Some people do get more money. Some people do get bottles because people some people want to put more money and they want to get stuff out of it >> and like that's the whole thing of Kickstarter. >> So should we say rather than paying €20 retail if you buy it now you can just pay 16 and that's our thing. Yeah. Is that our Kickstarter strategy? Is that >> But that Okay. So not to further complicate [ __ ] >> Mhm.
But what we off I think we should put a pin on this until we talk about pricing because that and what you can offer is to this will [ __ ] all this [ __ ] up. If we say we want to go like the Grunons route, if we say we want to go like the $100 million offer route, if we just want to do flat pricing, like the pricing will determine how much you can like give. >> I agree. Yeah, I agree. We just need to figure out what we're doing on the Kickstarter and if it's different from the 5year reserve again just to make sure it doesn't cannibalize since we're both going live in mid-occtober at the same time. >> Yeah, >> we just don't. >> That's why I think you keep it just the [ __ ] same. >> So, see.
Okay. So, the different ideas. >> Yeah. >> Let's just figure out what the referral program is first cuz we know we need that. >> That's a totally different topic. >> Yeah. It's where we started. >> Okay. >> So, let's finish the thing that we said. >> I put one friend direct the weight list. Three friends were on the wait list. 10 friends join the white list. That feels stupid. I like this actually. One friend reserves, three friends reserve.
I don't know what the [ __ ] this is. So I say let's [ __ ] that away with this. But um one >> should we say like cut join and just only have reserve. >> No, we want people on the wait list too. >> Even if they don't reserve. >> Yeah, for sure. And there are a lot of people out there that'll sign up to follow your journey. They're like a maybe buy. The people who put their money down are definitely buy. But we still want to talk to maybe vibes.
Okay, we can just like put every single [ __ ] thing we've ever thought about could be a gift of purchase or something and then just and then rank them what's most important to you is important to somebody and then like give the best thing to the person who's on 10. Like what about 10 friends or reserve? They get a personalized video call with us. >> I'll let you do that, dude. I'm like I'm so [ __ ] out of that. Um >> um >> like what do people want? >> I'm not going to FaceTime any weirdos because you know that's what it's going to be.
Um >> it's like chat roulette. Like >> somebody whoops a dick. >> You want to see a new penis? >> I'd be so >> It's just like Audrey in a [ __ ] penis outfit. Like >> um somebody gets 10 of their friends to reserve your >> a bonus bottle. >> Oh yeah. >> Like I mean if they've 10xed our like sale, right? >> Yeah. >> A valuable person. >> We can give them an extra bottle. >> Yeah. If you got five more sales, [ __ ] yeah, you get >> No, literally like >> Yeah, but like if you pretend the friends reserve, that's like >> maybe you get the bottle and the hair. >> Love the hair clip. >> A second bottle and a hair clip. >> Like I think that like promo merch would not be as expensive as we think. >> We're also getting We have so many merch options.
We have >> Okay, promo merch might be cheap, >> but complicated logistically. >> It's cheap per unit because you have to buy so much. so much you know. >> So ultimately the the gross cost to us is going to be expensive. >> So we would have to consider it not just for this right the promo merch is like for the launch party for the influencer boxes like it's going >> How many hair clips do you think you'd want? >> 100 hair clips. >> I think you like to get them cheap.
I think you got to buy like a thousand. >> What? I think I think you do. I think less. >> Yeah. Yeah. an English lesson and I think 500 actually would be a good amount of units for PR for the like the event itself. Like Ki had hair clips for everyone at their party. >> Okay. >> It was a cool event. >> Was just here in class. >> That's why she does what she does and I do. I like to sparkle theme and get pity and everyone gets a present. >> Let's just go back to the >> Wait, can we can we finish this one and then go back to >> But the buy now.
So ultimately firstly we're getting them to buy 5 now. >> No reserving because it was until the it was only uh I think we've gone a bit over um >> 3 minutes. >> Oh you want to go so long you can go to my house. >> You we've closed at 7. >> So you can stay okay. >> Okay. So this is getting you the stuff that we mentioned before. >> So this is like a reserve >> the reserve. >> You're not buying it for 5. >> Yeah. You're reserving. >> You're reserving your bottle and you're getting >> it's like that's why it's called founder reserve.
Like you're reserving your spot. >> Pay down five full reserve is the message. Okay. >> Yes. And then you get the benefits that we enumerated before. >> Then you get benefits. the ones that we enumerated before. >> Okay. Okay. So, this equals benefits. Okay. And this is all on the website. >> Yes. >> Yeah. >> This is probably >> Okay. Okay. So, we need to create a web page for so when people page. Yeah. Yeah. >> Cuz that mean we have two Okay.
On the website here, we have first this as the top page, then the second page is just join the weight list. So, we push down. You know, currently our web page is just join the weight list at the beginning. >> We'll push that down. So, the first thing they'll see is >> first thing they need to see is something about what it is and what the benefit is. >> Physical product. I think the biggest issue with our website right now is the product is not on top. like it's just like a bunch of text >> cuz this is so middle so we have two weeks to reconfigure the website and I think that is already >> yeah but it's to have the we need to have >> that's literally just opposing thing that is super super straightforward >> and but this >> should not be okay this should be its own page within the website right the founder reserve like every landing page that we create a landing page is just something to catch someone who's in a particular particular journey, right?
So, if someone's coming from like a blowout ad, they're going to see something different than someone coming from like a cigarette smoker ad sees something different from someone that's coming from a club ad, right? >> Each landing page will have two things >> that we like obviously it'll talk about the product within the context that the person came from >> and then it should have two things like join the weight list or join the reserve. >> Yes. >> Ads are going to go for this campaign.
And it's actually going to lead people to the the five reserve. >> No, it will lead them to the landing page. >> Oh, the generic. Okay. Are you sure we shouldn't have this as they land? Cuz we're pushing for the reserve founder campaign. We're >> If it's an ad, >> it is. So, we got three per month, 300 per month to boost the founder video. >> This goes to what I was talking about with the like campaigns. Like each ad set should probably drive to a different landing page cuz the people are not the same. >> Okay.
So four so so Jamie's going to create at least three minimum assets to talk to three different artarials using the founder video. >> Okay. >> Right. So there's three so three primary assets. Right. >> Okay. >> Of the three different people. And you're saying that each of these people should actually go to a different web page. >> Yeah. >> They do have to. Dude, I wish that I could make like really cool websites cuz I just thought like, oh, if it's a Jamie ad, you click on it and it's like there's smoke and like it's dark and like you're in a club and then like forest sprays and it like clears. >> We probably could do something. >> Tell it for you. >> When we have many monies, we can do whatever we want. >> Tell you just have the vision. >> So tell Claude to do it.
It's very good. But I still think that so people land on the page, they see the product. >> You said that page, you said the what is the page, >> the bespoke page. So we actually here we need to drive to web and we need three times landing pages that are different. Okay. >> Page. >> We're probably going to have like 500 landing pages in the end, >> but to start we can do three. >> So three and so people go on it, they're going to see the product benefit right away.
But that hey now has to be very close up there cuz otherwise we're going to lose them cuz that's how we keep losing them. >> I agree. >> Right. Cuz our weight list is not like >> I agree. >> So >> reserve your bottle. Boom. >> Yeah. >> So and that reserve your bottle is that going to be done in three different ways? >> Ultimately the payment flow is all going to be the same. Right. >> Correct. But like >> there's three different URLs for cuz you know how it's like a modulable the website is modulable >> but it's the same.
Okay. So on each of the three landing pages there will be like a reserve your bottle thing. >> When they click that button it will take everyone to the same >> the same page. >> Correct. We don't have that page yet. So >> we don't have any of these pages. >> We have some pages. >> Do we have a landing page for each persona? I don't think so. >> No, that we don't have. Um, real quick, in terms of incentivizing people, which I know is part of what we're doing right now, what do we give them?
I asked it to look at like the best psychological research about what incentivizes people um, and before it gets into promo stuff, it says problem awareness, like make them know that their hair stinks. Social proof, which is usually kind of demos and like influencers. Um, scarcity and urgency, so like you the first 300 get whatever like we're talking about. But then I was like no no no like free gift discount promise of something and in order it goes free gift discount promise of something later >> is that it like >> I psychological research >> based on access people it's like citing some [ __ ] like different researchers Hammond and Tverki like okay >> but mind you the whole motive of this mini campaign is that we're getting people that are interested in the founder story right so we've got the founders story and it's people that want to be part of that story Wait, wait, wait.
Where did we get that? >> The the the founder video that they've made. >> Yeah, but like >> Okay, the founder video, but like plus all the ads that we're running now. Like they should all be in my mind at least be driving to these like three personas and landing pages, right? Like this is not just Yeah, this is not just for this in my mind. So, this has been marketing. >> I think we're all hitting a bit of a wall, aren't they? >> Um, break because we have to leave. >> Free gift with purchase has the edge.
Three researchers found that people respond to free far more than a dollar value. Forget a free item feels like pure gain with no downside. It protects your price and it adds perceived value without cutting margin. >> Sure. >> But it still costs money to have a gift. >> Of course it does. >> Yeah. I just don't think we okay I personally am handy gift for the reserve founder. >> Okay, fine. >> But that's my from a cost like you know we're just starting out.
If anything it's weird to say we're starting out but we're already giving. It's like we're starting out support us. We need your money. We need your following. It just sends the wrong message. It's like oh we have extra oh support us but we have extra cash to buy everyone. It doesn't align >> to me like it's a thank you. It's like you've invested and like you've believed in something that you haven't actually they haven't gotten anything yet.
It could be dippable purchase. >> It's just like a surprise. >> Why don't we just do something where like it's a raffle type thing like it gets you like seats where you can maybe win something like every person you refer whatever the [ __ ] we could use this for referrals too. >> Like you get a chance to something >> to come to Paris. >> I don't know. like you got to figure something out to give them. >> Personally, I can't get clips in the boxes from the strut bone warehouse. >> So, technically, feasibly, it's going to unless you then have a separate logistics channel where everyone gets their product and you're going to send them a haircut after. >> We can't send them more than one product, right? >> A warehouse in Paris would be these are useful.
Like for the warehouse that we have, we can only send them the >> the same skew. >> Oh, to three skew per box for that thing. It's like a reserve of a thousand that we can package boxes ourselves and ship out random [ __ ] like hair clips. >> Yes. So you guys could do that for your batch >> cuz it's only going to be like 100 people max. So we can just literally whip that out in a bajillion days or how many days takes.
So mind you then you're taking on shipping costs >> by the way >> because it's not part of the warehouse shipping cost. >> Yeah. >> So you are shipping and margin and if you guys want to also hopefully we're not sending to the US but if you do want to send to the US to people that do sign up to this then you're sending it to the US. >> I feel this is a solvable problem that I don't want us to get caught up on. >> Um >> let's just go back to the reserve thing right.
So people pay now for 5 year and then what are the what's what are you guys going to b like entice them with? >> They actually get get a part of the first sample. That's like huge incentive. >> Yes. Yeah. Like you actually legit get a first sample. >> You get a first product. >> You get the first product because we're going to we're going to be sold out. It's going to be [ __ ] crazy. >> We're going to tell everybody this out. first party to invite to our event.
No >> invite. >> I think that if I think that's where like the rewards maybe the ladder goes like a reward to the event would be somebody who doesn't just pay 5 but also gets 10 people to sign up then you're like hell yeah you're so invested. >> I'd be fine saying first product and a chance to win a trip to Paris. >> Okay. >> Yeah. Okay. >> We'll get the hair clips from me. >> Get some merch. I gotta get us. >> And then do you want to give them like uh something like maybe not a perpetuity discount, but like something to make them like attached to us for a long time? >> I'd love a perpetuity discount.
I think that's actually cool as [ __ ] And >> so let's do it. >> It doesn't cost us upfront. Like if like every time they reorder, they get like >> 10% off. >> They But we'll have to give them a unique code >> which is super >> They can't share to others. >> I No, no, no. Here's Think about it. No, no, no. Here's what I want. I want them to share it with everyone else. >> They share it with a bunch of people. >> We're making more money.
I want them to feel like they're [ __ ] cheating the system, but we're making margin on everything. >> It's only 10%. >> Yeah. >> As long as like, you know, people could abuse that. If you've got a subscription rate and then if you've got 10 people referral and then minute you're stacked with these I don't >> it's normal. >> So, per discount. Yeah. So, we're going to have to generate our own prepare per >> Yeah. It could be like someone's last name, I don't know, or just like a random generated thing.
But >> So, that is a that's an operational >> I think that's cool because like lifetime discount sounds really [ __ ] cool and it doesn't really cost like we're still making money. >> That means we're going to have to have a discount manager like a discount. >> There's a budget or something in Shopify because so basically someone's going to pay for this, >> right? Then we're going to send them an email with the discount code.
And each discount code is going to be different. The same discount code for anybody's founder now. >> 10% off for everybody. >> But then you don't know who's buying it each time. >> Yeah. >> Well, don't they have um emails? >> Oh, yeah. Has >> like in Yeah, there's there's backend stuff on Shopify that manages this for us. We don't have to worry about that. >> Yeah. >> Okay. I just want to make sure. >> Let's just figure out the what and I promise we can figure out the how. >> Yeah.
But then also Okay. Yes, we have this. Then what happens if you get 10 friends to reserve onto the reserve list? What if you make us 15? >> That's completely different from this. >> No, I know. But like this feels amazing though. Like this is so freaking good. Like why can't that be our big our big thing? Like if you get 10 of your friends to pay us €5, then you get the perpetuity. >> Yeah. So you want you want to move this off of this? >> You know, that's my question.
What do we have left to offer to the people who are literally actually huge advocates of ours? >> Sorry. No, that's that's a good point. So, like where would you want this? >> Hold on. If they refer 10 friends, they get a haircut. >> There we go. I do like the hair. >> There we go. We can clip in. Listen, you can give it. >> Is that actually like And I'm asking this sincerely. Do you care about a hair clip? Like, would you refer 10 friends? >> It's a really nice hair clip.
Dominica showed it to me. The butterfly. >> I have spent €30 on six of these because if I each. >> They're They're probably way [ __ ] >> cheaper than each of those is $30 and you've done that six times. Yes. >> You spent $180 on hair clips. >> Yeah. >> You just said out loud. >> Um technically I got this one for free because I told them the canicle melted my last one. >> Yes. >> And so they replaced it. >> Um so to me Yeah.
And to everyone I talk to who smokes. Yeah. because they clip their hair back so the smoke doesn't get in it, but it doesn't take away everything. So, it's a complimentary product to a routine that already exists that we fit in. >> So, this these are the benefits that we're sticking with for perpetuity. Is that going over to referrals or is it going or is it hair clip? >> Well, can we can can we make it less? Can we make it only like five?
If if we're giving it to anyone that signs up >> by what? >> 5%. Why don't we say like for three years? >> We shouldn't say like for I mean I love lifetime. We can say like a three year something. >> That's kind of lame. >> Yeah, you get a threeear discount, baby. Like lifetime is more like oh my god. >> Everyone gets a 10% off like anytime you sign up for a [ __ ] email. It doesn't seem like that. >> This is why we want to do the greens [ __ ] pricing model so that way we actually have fat [ __ ] margins that we can play with. >> Okay.
Another I was looking at that too. But then like if we're positioning as luxury, >> which all this feels kind of gimmicky for luxury, like discounting all the time that Sorry, this is just not coming to me. I was like, I've never had a discount on my Dior lip oil. I've never had a discount on my Chanel mascara. >> So like what do you guys where do you guys want to be? >> Yeah. Need to product chance to come to Paris.
That's really great. >> Okay. Yeah. pocket for Patri, >> right? >> So, and like maybe we start with this, right? And we see how it goes. Maybe it's going to be amazing and we don't need to discount and then maybe if we need to like throw something in, we've got this in our back pocket. >> We can always discount on full launch. >> So, this is set fine. First product, chance to come in person. What are we doing for referrals? >> Yeah.
So, >> and then technically, how does this work? >> How does what work? >> Referral. How are we tracking that one person's brought in 10 people? >> They're referral codes and [ __ ] It's a a widget or something in the shop. >> There's a link in >> there's so much uh in >> rules already solved the problem. >> Yeah, but we just have to make sure that whenever someone comes to purchase this, we need to allow for a code section. >> It's all built into the shop, >> but we need to think of all the bits. >> Yeah, >> we need to think of all because this is in two weeks.
So, Dominique needs to build all of this and it's just it's easy to leave out. is >> Kate's probably done it already. >> She's like she's built a bunch of Shopify websites. I'm saying she's probably put in options like it's all part of checkout. >> Rewards tier is really smart. It's like rewarded for >> So mind you, so I just want to make sure there this is. Are we saying this in the checkout section or is this on the web page? >> Oh, you mean messaging?
I thought you meant just like a place to put your code. I'm like that's what are you talking about? >> Yeah. >> So people are going onto the website. There's three different landing pages. >> Yes. >> And then after the three landing pages is about product and then we're going into the pay now 5 years for reserve and we're saying the benefit. So there's a whole page. >> Is that a popup or a page? >> Good question. >> I thought we're talking web architecture. >> Well, I need to think of the bolts of of the operations because each part has a bit, right?
Like >> Yeah, question. Yeah, >> but like okay, let's I think just for sake of time like let's not figure out like all the steps to >> No, but I don't understand the referral part. Like where is that is that going to be communicated on that first when they land? Like >> what do you mean? >> I can send an email anyways. >> The referrals >> I just there there are like three things that matter for referrals, right? One is where do you enter a code?
Two is how do you get the code? >> Right. And three is like how do you are you aware that there's a referral program at all? >> Correct. >> That's the one that you're talking about right now. Are you talking about the whole thing? >> So say if I want to start So I'm I'm here. I've seen oh look I can pay $5 and I do that. I go to the my cart. I pay $5 and I get this. And then how do I >> then do I when do I get a code to give to other people?
Is that in the email? Well, is that on the web page immediately? Thank you for purchasing pop up join the referral. But then we also get a follow-up email cuz you have to click the receipt and then you go thank you for your purchase. We have a referral thing. And then if nobody clicks through that because you track emails. If nobody clicks it, then you resend an email 2 3 days later saying like we have a referral. If they still don't open it up, maybe one more time, maybe you don't cuz you can tell somebody's opened it or taken no action.
Then you can follow up. So from this there is a whole email campaign >> has to be >> or just to get people to become referers and give them a code. >> Correct. >> Yeah. >> And you're who's managing that? >> There's many plugins for it installed. >> No, but every plugin costs. So right now we're only we've even scrapped the email. We we've we've got basic Shopify email plugin. >> Yeah, I think Shopify has it. But yeah, you can but you can do like automation. >> The more we add to Shopify, it's going to become the 90, you know, >> but I mean that's but but the thing is >> sorry this is >> but you have to do some of that stuff. >> Again, I don't know.
I feel like we're getting into really technical nitty-gritty. Is it over cooking? >> There's there's three things like at least Okay, fine. >> There's really three things there's only three things that matter, >> right? >> One there's really only one thing that matters. >> That's getting as many signups as possible. >> Okay. And this and give it five bucks. Are you like ordering right now? >> That's a that's a real confirmed. >> Yeah.
Like that's the only thing that matters. If we can prove demand for something. >> Again, I'm not like the arbiter, but like anything that we can do >> to get more people there, >> we should be doing. >> Yeah. I'm just thinking of the mechanisms >> cuz how is a referral code >> created? Who's doing that? >> Pretty simple. You can do it. What >> who's doing this is >> it's all done through Shopify like there are so many things for this refer >> no but we say shop is so this is a very critical point of failure if Shopify can't create a code that means we have to create a separate CRM system to host discounts >> oh we already looked into this Shopify can't make codes >> I looked into this like a month ago >> discount codes what about refer codes we should go >> okay so we are you going to do that >> this is a solved problem >> in two weeks time we're going to have everything.
All the all the plumbing good. >> So if 10 people if 10 people use a code, Shopify automatically signals >> I think we're going to have to go in and look at it manual. >> I don't I don't know if we're getting automatic, but like it will it will be like in an Excel and you can see how many times each code was used and who it's associated with. >> Yeah. >> Okay. And then at that point, Dominique will send a clip. >> Is that what we're doing?
That's what I'm >> I don't know what those benefits are. >> Is that what we're doing for the 10 referee people? >> Just a clip. >> Maybe I love the clip. >> Maybe maybe they get the 10% forever. >> I mean, they could also like for now that's so much easier. Let me solve hair clips separately. That's I'm the only person who is excited about this. I want besides Jimmy, I'm um I want to figure out merch in general because again, we're going to need it for PR.
We're going to need it for the launch party and all of that. Once I have that sorted, then we can figure out logistically how to integrate it. But let's let's for 10 people >> referred then you get the forever discount. >> Okay. So, perpetuity. >> Okay. Okay. >> And that way it's just codes. We don't have to logistically solve a physical item. Um, and I would like to look into the work with our warehouse to possibly send >> I mean they're not the first we're not the first company in the world that wants to sell send merch with our product. >> Yeah, like a free gift with purchase kind of thing. >> Yeah, we can figure this out. >> We're just going to have more pilots though. >> But I guess if if someone is doing the 10% referral and they're getting the clips, it doesn't have to come from the warehouse.
It can come from here. >> Yeah. So that's what I'm saying. You're going to magic manage that logistics. down hair clips. >> No, you've seen my house. Where the [ __ ] would I put them? Where the [ __ ] would I put boxes? >> Hundreds of hair clips. >> Hundreds of hair clips. No, no, [ __ ] nothing's going to be at my house. >> There's pelican storage. >> Wait, but we got like >> 60% of the way there. I'm I'm proud of us.
That's good. What are we doing for other people? Are we doing anything or is it just at 10 referrals? Is there something for five? Like what what is the latter? >> You have to gamify it. You have to have different tiers. >> Complicated. No, it's just like >> it's not like it's literally just furthest many people get this. For further people get this, what is the >> five? You get 10% off for 10. You get 10% off now and forever. >> Okay. >> So 10% off your next order. >> Yeah. >> Flip the order, right?
Cuz first you get 5 off, next you get 10% off. >> Exactly. That we already give away normally if somebody signs up to our email list. >> Last question. Does this only apply to people who sign up for reserve? >> So, we're not doing anything for signing up for weight list cuz Jamie had her weight list in her original thing. >> What the [ __ ] What? Who? Sorry. I'm like, >> have people been told that if they're on the weight list in general, they get free [ __ ] >> Yeah.
Oh, they have been. >> Here's the thing. For those first people, I'll figure out a way to get them >> some [ __ ] >> Okay, so this is this is it. Five 10% off. What's it for you? >> 10 10% off forever. >> Perpetual end clips. Anything. It could be a [ __ ] bobby pin that says oral. >> Could be like >> Okay, good. So, this is this is it. Take a picture of it >> with all the boxes. >> Okay, guys, for real, this is it. >> Okay, everyone's happy.
The benefits, you get 10% or you get 10% off for referring five on your next purchase. You get 10% off forever. And then for the reserve benefits, you get our first product and a chance to come to Paris. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Just the communication option like and two different referral two different codes. >> Five for five, one for 10 to >> you get 10% now like the five people. >> That mean two different codes. So in the back end >> you get a onetime code and you get a forever code. >> Mhm.
So just to mix just to >> so they already get the the onetime code at five. Nothing changes from that. They add five more then they get the forever code. Everyone who hits the five threshold gets the 10% off. >> Correct. >> So there's one referral code. >> Mhm. >> That gets that you receive that you send to five friends. That person puts in that one code and it's always going to be one code into here every time they sign up.
So, let's say you Mona go to the website and you're like, I want to refer five people and so yeah, you get your little like referral code like refer your friends or like it's a button or something on the widget, right? Like enter people's emails and it's already linked with you. >> Yeah. >> Right. And so, let's say you go on there and you're like, I'm going to add Jamie at WildW Digital. I'm going to add my get tap rewards whatever down Gmail, right?
We all get those and then two invisible people also that you added, we all sign up. You get sent a 10% off code for your next order. You do that again. You add five more emails. You're like, "Oh [ __ ] I liked that. I would like some more discounts, please." And then you hit that 10 threshold. And then you get your forever code sent to your email. >> Okay. I I'll leave this bit to you then. I think you've got it very clear in your head how that works. >> Yeah.
I think it's Yeah, I think I got it. Yeah. >> Okay. We have a referral. So So just sit on the computer to go through that whole thing. Cool. >> I need I need Mike to babysit me while I build a website. Um, cool. But, um, so Mike Mike says something, Jamie, about these. He So, it's not just the founder videos. There's going to be other assets that will be feed into this or will it just be the three main assets will go live October?
And is that attainable from your end? >> I am bring >> here. It's all in the thing that I sent you in section four, >> right? >> I was going to say um >> so it should be like this like different landing pages for each >> like getting people straight from an ad to sorry I'll just say to Dominique. >> What are you saying? >> Nothing. Okay. >> Oh people going straight from an ad spending five and they don't give two shits. >> Is it horrible if they went through the weight list?
Like it's like one small free action is going to be a way to get someone to do a bigger action later. >> It's just like a foot in the door situation. >> Yeah. >> Um because we if we like put money like we're like hey 5year-old reserve and people are like what the [ __ ] is Aura? Who the [ __ ] is this? >> Oh I see what you're saying like >> that's their first contact. >> Their first contact is oh I can do something for free.
That's easy to give them. >> I mean their first contact should be like what the product is. >> Yeah. And then they >> and then like the it's like hey you down with this because you could have some money. >> I know cuz I thought like weight list >> then we have them in our m in our little mittens. >> Then we go into hey >> we have a lot of people on the wait list. Did you want to get bumped up? >> That might be like just like mental. >> Go for it.
Go for it. >> Do it that way. >> Great. Great. >> Done. >> So yeah. Right. The CTA won't be pay now five. It'll be wait get to our weight list. And then we're like, "Oh my god, we're so swamp. It's so crazy out here. Um, for 5, we actually get to skip the line because we love you and we're also going to give you a kiss and a potential possible chance to win to Paris a trip." >> And that's an email campaign. >> Another one.
Another one. >> That's easy. That's something I can write up. >> Yeah. >> But is there a web page for it as well? >> For what? >> For that five thing. >> Is there a page for that? >> That's >> There has to be. How do they sign up? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. So, so although it's not on the main web page when they land, there will be a email or a link from the close friend story on Instagram and that will take them to the founder circle page. >> I don't understand why we couldn't just have two buttons on it. >> Join the weight list. >> We could do both. >> You could there just two buttons >> to explain the button >> to explain the button for someone who lands there and like what does this mean?
Join. I think everyone knows what join a weight list means. >> The second button. >> Reserve your bottle takes them to another page that like yeah that's beyond the button. >> Yes. >> So we have social >> cuz if it was just the button I'm like how do they know what means? >> Yeah. Of course. list. We got email blue. Um, um, actually no, no. Oh, but they're not going to be on there until they've got a until they're refer just on the normal story.
What story? >> Wait, what? What >> to I'll talk you through it to >> I think it called >> reserve. >> We still have a couple things in terms of the other bolts is from Stripe Revolute business account. >> Mhm. >> Um which still doesn't exist. which still doesn't exist, >> but it will once we're ready to take the money and pay a monthly fee. >> It can also the money can just sit in Stripe, >> which is true. Money can sit in Stripe until we're ready to like receive it.
I've been putting it off until we have a transaction ready to go because it does cost money. >> Okay. Cuz yeah, I've got a Stripe account already set up for us. >> Fantastic. I just need to send you then >> the um API. >> Gorgeous. >> Um so that can be my action for this >> to simplify it. All of our socials still push us the weight list >> which gets us then to an email chain that says, "Oh my god, we're so busy crazy." Plus, we have a story that says, "Oh my god, we're so crazy busy." That's crazy.
And we have social posts that are not prior or actually on our feed. >> I don't understand that. >> Tell me. social goes >> organic and paid with our weight list. Our free little weight list. >> That's the CTA. Go get on the weight list. >> That's our foot the door. >> So the socials are not driving to our website in any way, shape, or form. >> Well, how do you get to the weight list? I mean through the website. No. >> Now I'm with Mona.
Like show me the doors. Like what? I come from the I come from the ad. Am I hitting something that only says join our weight list? And am I hitting like an Aura explainer page? Like what the [ __ ] am I hitting? Well, I guess it depends where are we at because right now the only like right now our best conversion is through a form on Facebook or like meta ads sorry meta ad form that is our best conversion. Our actual website right now is not doesn't do anything.
So right now the door to the wait list is what is it >> I thought no this is where we've got three landing pages right >> that's what I would think pages today so that's irrelevant. Well, is this for is this for today or is this midocctober? >> So, I mean this is where we're at right now and later. Okay. >> Have more landing pages then we can move them to the landing page. When we start knowing that when we can start testing conversion >> landing page should have two buttons on it. >> What did you say? >> The landing page should have two buttons on it. >> What are the two buttons? >> Join the weight list.
Reserve your ball. Right. There's two actions that they could take. I don't know why we would if someone is like really amped and they want to reserve a bottle, like they're really excited, like I [ __ ] love this. I don't know why we would make them join the wait list and then get an email from us and hope that they get an email from us and read the [ __ ] email and then click on the link on the email and then come back to a page to say something else when they had the intent there from the start.
I mean, yeah, of course you can have that. But I'm pretty sure email like an email um like an a whole email campaign has is actually a pretty proven strategy to like work >> very much so. I'm just saying if people are already ready, why are we putting more >> putting an extra step? >> Yeah. >> I don't think it's more friction. I think it's just ensuring people actually get there cuz I think it's ridiculous to assume that everybody gets the landing page is going to pay 5 something. >> But that's why we're giving them two options by the weight list. >> Yeah.
So great. >> Excellent. Excellent. They're on the same page. the option is there just like it's just an option that's there if they want to fork over money but for other people that aren't ready we have a small >> step and then course so we have >> so then landing page from paid socials we need to then make sure that that landing page the touch point has all this stuff on it >> that they have various options >> yeah it's just two buttons >> so are you going to brief this into a web designer >> yeah designing page decoration list.
That's a lot of work. >> No, it's not going to be okay. >> It's building three landing pages and two buttons. >> Should we mention to her like now like, "Hey, we're going to pay for your trip to Paris and stuff." I'm going to Okay, here's what we're going to do. >> I'm going to What was your thought? >> My thought and Okay, my thought is we send people to a landing page for the weight list and then have a popup. Oh my god, we're running out of space.
You don't know€5. So instead of doing the opposite like a landing page >> is because usually you have a landing page in theformational of the website and then you have a popup that puts you to the website, >> right? >> I mean sorry to the weight list. I'm so tired. >> I'm so tired. Sorry. >> Oh my god. Normally or a page with all the information popup weight list. >> Wait. Yeah. >> What if we did landing page weight list popup pay money? >> Yes. >> Um real quick, can you pull up the preview of the website that she sent us? >> Yes. um on the screen so we can all go through it really quickly what she's already done and then I'm gonna send her a message after we go through that. >> Um and I think should we then put a little pause on it and >> Yeah.
How do I We're all like >> Yeah, we're all I'm so sorry. I've been fighting migraines for days. >> Yes, exactly. This is it. Thank you. Yeah. Is that volume? >> Um, my suggestion is that we add in about obviously I'll need content for that. So, I just want to show you I haven't published it or anything. It's just sitting in the back end. Um, I'll just Yeah, I'm sure you I'm sure you know how to do this. But >> how long is this? >> You just go edit them.
You can go here if you just edit. Mine is in the drafts. >> Oh, and the statistic. So, obviously the copy. I am not a copyriter, so update wherever you see fit. I've just laid it out a bit better as well as um added all your fonts and colors to the website. So, we've got the name heading here. Um just scroll down a little bit. I do think it's a nice fallout over here. This section is really like the information section to really tell everyone what it is and what it's about.
Um get on the wait list. Now, if I have heard this correctly or if I um if I think correctly, you guys are trying to build a weight list and do pre-orders. If that's right, I think that this is the right layout. If you're ready to like sell the product, I would make quite a few tweaks to this. So, when you're ready to sell and push on selling, um not pre-order selling, but the actual selling, I I would like to tweak this a little bit for you.
Anyway, we've got your weight list here. Um and then you've got the three call outs. I can absolutely do custom icons for you if you would like. I just for the moment. >> We've got a pre-order section. Now, all of these buttons go to the the shop page. >> Um I would love to get some better images. We want at least know exactly what it looks like page so people could create some images for the product page so I can flip through it.
Anyway, that's the shop now. And then we've got join our email list. This will just be generic. This all the footer at the bottom. Um you know what a really big core at the bottom. I don't know if you love it. Don't know if you hate it. Obviously we can um update it but that's all the um footer at the bottom. Uh yes, there's multiple there's multiple opportunities for people to click and obviously shop obviously sign up to the email.
Um another weight list email. Um, and then obviously the one up here highlight. So I think it will work really well originally like initially or if you do want to push for a little bit this pre-order um this as a website for pre-order I think would work pretty well when we go when you fully launch. Obviously we will update everything to like shop now. I would probably put um this lower down and have like another shop section here um and get on the wait list.
Obviously we just change and make that go all the way to the bottom eventually and it wouldn't be a list. um also let me know if you would like to add an section at the top. Anyway, it's all there. So, feel free to go and edit anything >> and you need to do this three times. >> Okay, I'm going to write down our notes to her right now. Um so, let's get in here. What's everybody's thought with the website? >> Yeah. Okay.
