[Free on Github] My Iron Man Jarvis Interface transcript

Hey, my name is Jared and in this video I wanted to tell you all about bare hands. It's essentially an interface that you can just use your hands to move things around on the screen. You don't need goggles, you don't need gloves, uh you don't need anything other than a camera. And I'm going to show you how that works. So to move something, you're just going to pinch with your index finger and your thumb and move it around on the screen just like this, okay?

If you want to open a file, you're going to pinch one time really fast, just kind of like clicking on a mouse. Pinch again and then here is your folder. Now, these are folders on your computer and they're customizable. You can make these folders whichever ones you want on your computer. You can rename this from assistant to, you know, whatever your AI assistant's name is. It's all very, very customizable, okay? And then to open to open a file, here let me show you one of these.

I have this folder right here called props. You can do, let's see, let's open uh this one right here. You can do 3D objects. You can do pictures, you can do text files, whatever you want. And you can make them bigger, make them smaller just by pinching with your index and your thumb on both hands here. All right. And then you can also move things around in 3D space. So you're going to pinch, hold for a second, just hold it still and then look at that, you can drag it around just like that in 3D space.

Whoosh. All right. And then if you want to close something out, you're just going to pinch one time and it closes. Uh you can also, here let me show you this. Let me go to uh let me open these notes here. Open a note here. You can drag this around, but if you want to get rid of it other than just tapping the top like that, you can also, let me just show you this. Let me pull up one of these. You can also just flick it off the screen. >> [laughter] >> Just like that.

So that's pretty cool. So any anything uh on your screen here can become 3D and you can manipulate it in 3D space just by holding it still for a second and then rotating your hand around just like this, which can be kind of cool for text files like this cuz you know, you can get kind of a cool view there, okay? And then uh so, I'm going to go ahead and throw this off the screen. Oops, I missed. Throw that off the screen, there we go.

And then I'll go ahead and close my assistant out right here and I'll throw him off the screen and then you've got a clear screen or you can also just reset everything by doing a clap. Oops, just like that. Okay? And one other thing that I want to show you with with how this works is what I call the claw. So, if you want to summon something to your hand, you just make a claw like this and you're going to point it. Now, you have to do it you have to do it the right way.

It has to line up between your index finger and your thumb. So, you do have to aim it. It's like having actual superpowers, okay? So, I'm going to aim it here. I'm going to make a claw, all right, an intentional claw. I'm going to let it wind up. It's got to catch, so I'm going to give it a couple seconds to catch and then I'm going to whoosh, just pull it straight to me by making a fist like that, okay? So, one more time I'm going to put it up here.

I'm going to aim right there. I'm going to let it wind up and then I'm going to pull and it's going to come right to me. So, that in a nutshell is bare hands. I hope you like it. And I do also want to add that this works a lot better with Claude code. You do not have to have Claude code installed, but it definitely uh uh makes it a lot better when you have Claude code installed and then you run it with this. So, all you need to do is uh go to the repo, give your Claude code session the link to the repo, and it will set it all up for you. There's actually an instructional file inside of the repo that your Claude code session will read and learn how to set all of this up for you and help you customize it.
