Entire Neighborhood is Sent 200 Million Years in the Past and Ends Up Hunted by Dinosaurs transcript

In 1982 in Michigan, the neighbors on Oak Street are having a big event to promote bonding in the community. Everyone is enjoying the food, the games, and the company. On the radio, the news mentions NASA tracking some unusual ripples in space. [music] Greg tells his wife Denise that he needs to leave early because he has some deliveries to do. So, an unhappy Denise points out that he was supposed to quit his side job.

When Greg says he wants to make a bit of extra money, Denise takes him to a private spot [music] so their kids won't see them argue. However, the siblings still can tell their parents are fighting. Denise says their marriage isn't working and thinks their son is acting [music] out because he can feel it. But Greg refuses to have this conversation and leaves. Afterward, Denise visits Rose, who asks about the book she's been writing.

Denise admits she hasn't told Greg about it yet, and Rose thinks it's a shame because she's read it and believes it's fantastic. They discuss the plot, and the story is clearly about Denise's hidden wishes to leave everything behind. Rose [music] then takes Denise to her backyard to show her a strange plant. It's fully grown, but it wasn't there just a few days ago. Denise takes a picture for research before trying to dig it out.

Meanwhile, Denise's son, Brian, is hanging out with his friends. [music] They pause their walk to hide behind a fence and spy on Janette, the new girl in town. Brian can't stop staring at her as he develops a crush. Moments later, Denise is on her way home when her neighbor Jacobs comes to complain about her dog, who has dug under his fence and pooped on his yard. Denise promises to keep the dog on a leash until they fix the hole, but Jacob says [music] that if he sees him on his yard again, he'll shoot him.

A furious Denise threatens to burn Jacob's house down if he dares to shoot her pet. In the evening, Greg comes home with pizza for dinner and hides the delivery sign from his car because his wife hates it. During dinner, the family has a great time chatting [music] and playing with the dog, but Denise feels awkward. In the middle of the night, a bright light appears in the sky and Starbucks won't stop barking at it. As a strong wind rattles the windows, Brian wakes up and decides to investigate.

By the time he makes it outside, the light and the wind are gone. The next morning, [music] Brian asks his family if they heard or saw anything, but they didn't. At that moment, Jacobs comes to complain that the kids have pranked him. Greg doesn't understand, so Jacobs takes him to his house to show him a huge pile of poop. While his family laughs, Greg swears they didn't have anything to do with it, but volunteers himself and Brian to help Jacobs clean.

[music] Later, Denise goes to the library to look for Rose's strange plant, but she can't find it in any book. When she asks the librarian, Mrs. Valk tells her that this species has been [music] extinct for over 200 million years. Meanwhile, Brian and his friends are riding their bicycles when suddenly they see a group of teenagers led by Kaden, who threatens to beat Brian up, so the kids immediately ride away. Brian hides behind some bushes, unaware that Janette is watching him.

That night, [music] Greg finishes delivering pizzas in the rain. When he gets home, the same bright light appears in the sky and the wind shakes the whole house. This time, both kids and Greg see it, but Denise is writing in the basement with her headphones on. The power and phone lines go out in the whole neighborhood as the wind and light disappear. It stops raining too, so there's an eerie silence. Suddenly, the family hears a horrifying scream in the distance.

The hell is >> Greg grabs a flashlight and goes outside to investigate, but he doesn't see anything strange. Afterward, he tells the family they need to rest, but the kids are scared, so the parents agree to sleep together in the living room. While everyone gathers the blankets, Greg secretly has a drink. The next morning, [music] the power hasn't returned and the temperature is really hot. When Denise tries to check on Starbucks, she discovers he broke his leash and escaped.

The family then has breakfast and Denise discovers that there's no water either. Afterward, Greg grabs his bat and goes out with Denise to look for Starbucks. When they hear a weird noise, they discover a stream of water coming out of the ground. [music] Denise thinks it's a broken pipe, but Greg points out it's steaming hot, so it can't be a pipe. The couple then splits to continue their search. Meanwhile, Brian's sister, Audrey, is reading on the roof and sees a neighbor leave in a car.

She also hears a strange noise, but it's just [music] a cat. Audrey tries to relax, but she's distracted again when the cat yells in pain. [music] A quick look at the forest reveals something huge moving among the trees. So, a scared Audrey goes back inside. [music] At the same time, the neighbor in the car also returns and rushes to his house in panic. Audrey finds Brian and tells him what she saw. So, together they look out the window and notice a big tail disappearing into the woods.

Down the street, Denise goes to see Rose, who won't answer the door. She doesn't notice something moving behind her. The door is unlocked, so Denise goes inside and is horrified to find Rose dead on the floor. A closer look reveals an awful gash on her neck and bloody paw prints leading to [music] the backyard. Terrified, Denise grabs Rose's gun and goes outside. To her shock, the neighborhood is now surrounded by an exotic forest.

Nearby, [music] Greg is startled by some trash cans falling. He thinks it may be Starbucks, but then he hears a wild growl and sees a strange shadow. He immediately runs away and jumps over a fence, only to notice that the mysterious animal is chasing him on the other side. When a claw grabs the wood, Greg runs faster and jumps over another fence. Seeing a house door open, Greg rushes [music] to hide inside and peaks out to discover that what came out is a dinosaur known as Dionicus.

The creature can smell Greg and soon comes after him, so he starts running only to end up falling. The dinosaur's head tries to reach him through the bushes and Greg defends himself by kicking it and hitting it with the bat before running again. [music] The Donicus chases Greg and almost gets him. However, it gets shot down by Denise. Even though it's bleeding, the creature continues to chase the couple as they run down the street.

A neighbor comes out of her house because she heard a gunshot, so the dinosaur jumps on her to eat her. When Greg and Denise make it home, the door is locked, so they desperately pound on it as they call their kids. The dinosaur is coming closer and almost causes a neighbor's car to crash. As a second dinosaur appears, the kids open the door and the couple rushes inside just in time. The beasts pound on the door and Greg has to hold it until they leave.

Afterward, the family gets in the car and tries to leave the town. Chaos has taken over the streets. There are people trying to escape on every corner, and more and more dinosaurs are appearing to chase humans. The family tries every exit, but they're all blocked. First, there's a forest, then there's a swamp, and lastly, they find an abyss. It turns out the neighborhood has been sent to the past. The family has no choice but to go home and block all the doors and windows using pieces of furniture.

While they work, Denise notices that Greg smells like whiskey and demands the truth. It turns out he lost his job at the company and the pizza delivery has been his only source of income, not just a side thing. An argument begins, but once again, Greg walks away. Brian worries about Starbucks. However, Greg says they can't do [music] anything, so they must wait for the dog to return. Audrey discovers that the basement is flooded and Denise has to hold back a breakdown because this means her book has been destroyed.

Outside, [music] the dinosaurs keep roaming the streets looking for food, although a very loud roar sends the Dianichases running in fear. In the house, [music] Brian tries turning on the radio, but none of the stations work. They discuss the situation and conclude the house was sent back in time, which Brian blames on the strange lights. Audrey calls them wormholes that connected [music] two points in time, so the plant in Rose's garden and the poop on Jacobs was sent from the past to the present.

Greg tells the family that they should wait until the lights return to be sent back. [music] In the evening, Brian reads a book about dinosaurs while Audrey gets in the car to listen to music. In the bedroom, [music] Denise and Greg argue again since she doesn't like the idea of staying inside forever. Suddenly, the whole house starts shaking and the family rushes to hide in the bathroom. When they look out the window, they see a humongous creature passing by.

Soon, screams and gunshots can be heard around the neighborhood. Jacobs is on his roof shooting at the Katz coatlesses flying above his home. One of these beasts is hit by a bullet and almost crashes into Denise's house. Eventually, Jacobs runs out of ammo and the Katz coatlesses surround him to kill it. Afterward, Greg and Denise start fighting over what to do again, but soon, the argument becomes about the state of their relationship lately.

They're so loud that the kids can hear them. Greg reveals he's read Denise's book, so he knows she's wanted to leave the family for a long time, but Denise [music] claims it's just a story. At that moment, Brian hears barking and looks out the window to discover that Starbucks is being chased by a dinosaur. He grabs his bow and escapes through the [music] window, which is seen by Audrey. She takes a knife and immediately goes after him.

Nearby, a huge dinosaur eats a smaller one. Minutes later, Denise tries to check on her kids and finds the bedrooms empty, [music] so she and Greg immediately get in the car to go looking for them. When they find the street blocked by ancient turtles, they drive over the lawns until they come across a Spinosaurus. The couple tries to leave, but the car [music] won't start, so the dinosaur hits it and pushes it through a neighbor's window.

A lamp catches on fire, and soon the flames begin [music] to spread. The Spinosaurus rips off a car door and bites the roof. So, Greg and Denise climb through the opposite window to escape. [music] They run through the house and make it to the backyard where they keep running while the dinosaur comes after them. Meanwhile, Audrey is looking for her brother and doesn't see the huge paw prints on the grass nearby. Brian searches for his pet and sees a huge snake- like creature in a pool.

He runs as fast as possible, unaware that someone is watching him from the shadows. Near the woods, Brian hears a growl and thinks it may be Starbucks. Suddenly, he's tackled by Kaden, who starts beating him up for hurting his brother a few days ago. Kaden's brother also arrives and tries to stop him since he doesn't care about revenge, but Kaden ignores him and keeps hurting Brian. When Brian starts having trouble breathing, Kaden finally realizes he's gone too far and lets go of him.

The brothers leave to look for their mom and Brian is abandoned on the grass. Eventually, Audrey finds Brian and says Starbucks is probably dead. Suddenly, they hear the screams of someone asking for help. The siblings follow the noise to find Janette being chased by a dinosaur. She's defending herself with a branch, but she won't last long. Brian shoots an arrow that does nothing, so Audrey runs ahead and stabs the creature with her knife.

It runs off as it screams in pain, so Janette takes the chance to run, too. The siblings follow her and promise they don't want to hurt her. Janette then has a breakdown as she tells them that her parents are dead. Audrey hugs her to comfort her and they agree to stick together. Hiding in another house, Greg and Denise watch the Spinosaurus drink from a pool and wait until it's gone to keep moving. When they reach the next [music] block, they see trees fall and hear a roar, so they start running again.

They manage to hide in a car before dozens of dinosaurs run past them. Some of them even step on the vehicle's roof. The terrified couple holds hands and comforts each other until all the creatures are gone. Afterward, they see a very bright light inside a house and wonder if the wormhole has reopened. The couple goes inside and ignores a little dinosaur as they make their way to the light. Greg tells Denise to jump in and promises to return with the kids, but Denise refuses to leave without her family.

They argue about it until the light disappears. In the morning, Audrey bandages Janette's wounds. At that moment, the siblings see their parents coming up the street and run to reunite. After a group hug, the couple agrees to take care of Janette, too. Suddenly, they [music] hear a strange noise, so the couple sends the kids back inside before they go to investigate. To their surprise, they find two dinosaurs getting naughty on top of a house.

They can't help but find it funny, and Denise asks Greg to pose for a silly picture. [music] Then, the family keeps traveling together to look for the wormhole while avoiding small dinosaurs and giant piles of poop on the street. In the distance, [music] they can see a fire spreading. At that moment, a carnotaurus appears behind them, and the group splits as they run away. Greg and Denise hide behind a truck that blocks the way, so the beast decides to follow Brian into a garage.

As it pushes a vehicle, Brian shoots some arrows to no avail. Denise returns and opens fire, yet the bullets don't do much damage. Audrey appears outside to get Brian's attention, so he climbs out the window to join her. The carnotaurus chases the kids down the street until it sees Denise and begins following her instead. When she tries to enter a house, the beast makes her fall. Denise opens fire, but the bullets still do nothing, and the creature quickly disarms her.

When it's about to eat her, Greg returns and hits its leg with a hammer. The carnotaurus turns around ready to attack. So, Greg hits its face to knock it down. Then, Greg runs to check on his wife. However, the beast quickly recovers and bites his leg, chomping half of it before smashing him on the ground. Denise wants to help her husband, but [music] the dinosaur proceeds to eat the rest of him, too. In tears, Denise rushes to take the kids [music] away.

Moments later, Brian tries to talk to Denise, and she snaps, frustration and grief, causing her to yell at him. When Audrey stops her, Denise realizes what she's doing and apologizes while hugging Brian, who is crying, too. After walking for a while, they manage to return to the family's home by climbing on the roof and entering through the window. Audrey has a breakdown in private and is comforted by Janette while Brian [music] watches them.

Then, the group starts packing supplies, unaware that a huge serpent is coming inside through a window. Its body is so long it can be on both floors at the same time. When it's about to attack Denise, Brian finally sees it and shoots it with an arrow. Furious, the snake goes upstairs and Brian quickly closes the door to keep it out of his room. Denise takes a knife from the kitchen and repeatedly stabs the snake until it finally leaves through the same window.

Next, the group goes to the roof to look at the neighborhood. The fire has burned half of it and the dinosaurs are everywhere. At first, they think there's no escape, but at that moment, they see the wormhole light on top of the hill and decide to head there. Traveling through town, they keep seeing beasts feeding on human bodies on every corner. One big dinosaur is eating ice cream from a truck. Eventually, they find the house on the hill, which happens to be the librarians.

Mrs. Valk is hiding in a room with a gun ready to shoot. After seeing the body of Valk's [music] husband, the group goes upstairs and goes through a window to reach the roof. The wormhole is on the edge and disappears for a second, but it quickly returns. Denise throws a tile at it, and it disappears for a second again, which means they'll have to time their jumps. While Brian and Denise argue over who will go first, Janette jumps ahead and disappears into the portal.

As flying creatures begin to surround them, Brian also tries to jump, but the wormhole blinks and he lands on the ground, breaking his leg. When a beast takes the [music] chance to catch him, Starbucks finally returns and bites its leg. The creature flies up before pushing Starbucks off, causing him to have a rough landing, too. Then, Denise appears and keeps the beast at bay with a fire poker. She and Audrey help Brian move upstairs while Starbucks follows them.

Suddenly, an alligator-like beast comes out and tries to attack, but Denise stabs it with the fire poker, causing it to run away. Unfortunately, there are two more beasts in the rooms and even more downstairs. [music] Denise throws objects at them, but they do no damage, so she tells the kids to run while she distracts them. Her sacrifice is interrupted by Mrs. Valk, who quickly shoots a creature to kill it. The second one jumps on her to feed, allowing the family to escape.

On the roof, the flying beasts keep trying to attack them, so the family is forced to hurry and jump together as one. In just a second, they reappear in 1982 and fall into a neighbor's pool. The house owner kicks them out and thinks they're crazy when they mention dinosaurs. [music] After celebrating with a hug, the family reunites with Starbucks and Janette, who shows them that the neighborhood is fine. They look at the date in time to realize the time traveling incident will happen in 20 minutes, so Janette runs to alert her parents.

A desperate Denise decides to order some food, and soon Greg appears in his car to deliver it. The trio rushes to reunite with him, telling him how much they love him. Suddenly, a light shines behind them and sends a section of the neighborhood back in time, replacing it with a prehistoric forest. Two years later, a documentary on TV shows how the military was able to work fast to handle the dinosaurs thanks [music] to a call from Denise.

All their neighbors are alive on TV speaking well of the family, even Jacobs. Denise is now a writer who has found success with a book about the incident. Janette's parents have two versions of their daughter, which means [music] Denise and the kids landed in another timeline and not their own.
