They're the ones you do it with. Friends are there every day and young men show up for each other every day in those friendships around tough times. Mate Day is a celebration of all that. >> I think hearing conversations from your mates uh maybe of them opening up about something that they're not necessarily happy with can sometimes help you open up. There's some things that you might not want to tell your family necessarily, but your mates are easy to tell.
And having close mates with a good support network is pretty big. >> That ability to kind of be alongside and muddle through so that someone isn't by themselves cuz by yourself through those times can be life-threatening. I hope they walk away recognizing something of themselves in the content. So that friendship is stronger, is more confident and deeper for it. >> I think showing off your mates is very important. Just being there builds a bit of a better friendship, bit of a bond to be able to be there and be with them.
Just trying to be there for your mates, I think, is good enough. As long as they know you're there for them, then that's that's enough for me, I'd say.
