before he ended up facing charg post videos of himself to YouTube what a [Music] br hello BR am I in the picture looks like I'm Too Tall hold on there we go how's this so by today's title bra you know what we're doing I made a wheel tutorial video like for beginners I don't know how long ago Jared how long ago was it that long ago I've changed my view a little bit on how I teach and the way I teach before honestly only worked for 600s so everybody has one of these right now a ninja 400 or something along that size right and the whole learning how of wheelie the way I'm teaching now applies to any bike doesn't really matter TC size we're doing it on a small one just so you can see it doesn't really matter I I was going to do it on a cb300 but it was way too much work to pull the ABS fuse out of it that's the problem with all these bikes now is that ABS is all on all of them and the ABS no bueno you don't want abs when you're doing wheelies cuz ABS has freaked out on me before in a wheelie and I looped because for whatever reason it thought the tire was slipping when I was in the wheelie and then yeah pushed the brake and the brake pushed back and wouldn't let me press it so then the bike just anyway so that's first thing right if you're going to be following this get rid of the ABS pull the fuse out ABS motor fuse pull that fuse this applies to any any bike so now we're going to we're going to jump to the bike like but yeah oh yeah look at the shirt brass only brass and thank you Riley's power sports for sponsoring this video we have a minty uh I think it's a 21 ninja 400 okay first thing that you should do when learning how to wheelie you need to understand your foot break so that's what we're going to do just right off the bat coming out we're going to smash the foot break right oh should probably pulling the clutch so pull in the clutch and then get used to feeling how your how much pressure you have to push before the tire locks up cuz it'll play in [Music] later not much the little 400s got really nice foot brake off the bat most all new bikes do all the brakes are really good so it's kind of hard to not have good foot break as long as you buy a newer bike all right [Music] so these things are so fast it's right Braes ninja 400 fast anyway so to start off all we're going to do right is put it at like first gear okay and then get around to 20 I'm going to use numbers and RPMs even though for me personally I never even look at any of that I just go by how it sounds and where my power is so if I know it can do it or whatever but we're going to put it at 20 right and you're just going to pull on the clutch blip it to like 10 well maybe not 10 flip it from what is it what was this in that hold on I got to look look now like I said I never look guys so this is we're going 20 and first it's at 5 so yeah I bloop it to literally just 7 okay did you see how easy it comes up and I just Chase it out real smooth and simple that's all you really need to do when you're trying to learn is I want you to Simply clutch it up and carry the wheel 6 in above the ground and consistently keep it there that's all all I want you to do so whenever you hit it up apply gas to chase it at that height and try to maintain that height and once again this will play in later maintaining the height is what you're trying to do and be consistent like consistently know that when I you know get here and do this it's going to do this every time because what makes you good at wheelies and stuff is just being repetitive repetitively doing this over and over and over and over and over and over and over so like I said when you learning just put it at 20 and they could for the 600s is probably probably about 30 but for the little 400 and anything this small it's going to be probably around [Music] 20 that's really all you're trying to do is just be consistent and for every bike the RPM and the miles per hour and all that stuff it might change right it might need to be more or less if it's not doing anything then increase your speed a little bit or increase the RPM and what you rev it because like a normal clutch up like I'm not even going to look cuz I can't look and well maybe I can look but hold on we're going to go to 12 so like that was like nine 9 to 10 and that was at like 15 mph and that was the proper balance point wheelie but I don't even have to really look at the stuff I just I just hit the clutch and then give it more or less throttle depending on what it [Music] did 400 is such a good bike for this too also I want y'all to remain seated for learning this learning a sit down wheelie and how to get it down properly will make you better at any other wheelie like you'll be way better at knee arkers if you learn sit down first and staggard and any of them you figure out your Baseline right you're 20 mph or so first gear clutch up [Music] just slightly chasing it right that's when you start to increase your uh RPM on your clutch up and I don't want y'all banging gears either like don't run it out don't get to a point where you're let me do it don't get to a point I'll have to clutch I don't know how I'll do this but anyway don't get to a point where you're like chasing and you grab the next gear right like a lot of guys on their 600 or 1,000 they'll Bop the next gear gear right don't be doing that cuzz all you're doing is not knowing how to wheelie and then increasing the speed which increases the danger cuz you still don't know what you're doing so keep it at first and if you red line out you red line out like if you're doing that that's fine do it if you get tired of doing it then that's that's why you that's why you're doing this to learn better so that you send it up higher and higher and higher so on so far but don't just jump the gun and be like well I'm losing my wheelies so I shift to the next year no if you're losing your wheelie then you need to you need to let the wheelie sit down start back do it again and again again again again again until you actually bring it up to a real balance point all right so you're chasing them and you're ready to like step it up right all you do for stepping up is literally take your base speed and your RPM and raise your RPM on your clutch dump right so that the bike comes up higher and then it's the same process over over now you're consistently chasing them out down here so now I want you to raise it by giving it more throttle more RPM more of a clutch flick and then start chasing them out like that and then keep progressing from there you keep getting higher and higher and [Music] higher and higher and higher and higher and then you start creeping up on balance point and stuff and I guess we'll just go ahead and get into the balance point thing so say you've been doing this for a couple weeks now and you're getting to wear your B like this you're running it pretty far the bike's pretty freaking high but you're still rping out and you're ready to like really do some stuff that's when the foot brake pressure and control that we practice before we clutch up as I was saying earlier comes into play so what you do is you bring it up to your comfortable spot and then push it with the throttle and then hit your brake right so it started to come up I got scared cuz you know it's a new New Height right there I hit my brake didn't really mess with my throttle too much and the bike came right back down that's what the foot break is it is your saving grace and the higher you get and I mean you can be practicing the foot Brak too for even your little pow PS when you're first learning so even these you can still hit the break right it came down right it's good to practice that to have it in your memory so you know that it's there and it works and so on so forth so this is for when you're up there though right so you're getting up here you hit your brake comes right back down and that's when you start to learn the whole bounce between throttle and Brake right if you're on the gas you shouldn't be on the brake if you're really trying to carry out a wheie so I'll show you for instance gas gas gas gas gas break gas gas gas gas gas gas brake so a little dip brake comes right back down little dip brake comes right back down you don't want to be dragging your throttle on your brake that's a bad habit you'll cook your rotor you'll cook your everything everything will burn up and use up quick and then in a perfect world you want to be right here at bounce point and it's only throttle control and when you dip that's when you get on the brake there a little dip little bit of brake right that's like the perfectness of it one thing that also helps to set your phone up on like the sidewalls or wherever you're at right and then go by and practice you a clutch up and see how high you are just see if you keep maintaining that same little height if you're having a hard time visualizing what this actually looks like when you're doing it you know cuz sometimes it's kind of hard to tell it's good to really visualize what you're doing understand like where the bike is at Chase Chase Chase Chase Chase Chase Chase Chase Chase Chas Chase that's all you got to do guys and just be repetitive keep doing it obsessed over this don't get frustrated that it's been a couple weeks and you're still just chasing that's how it's going to be I mean for me it took I don't know a year or more on the crotch rocket before I ever really started hitting balance point and using my brake and that was just for me kind of learning by myself I didn't go look up YouTube videos on how to do it right I was the guy in my friend group that could do it better than everybody else but I was still like at best I was doing like this like a really really slight Chase had no idea what foot break was like I knew of it but I didn't really realize what was up but that's why I'm here now PR cuz I'm teaching y'all you got to remember that it's there and to push it that's all like you clutch up like oh snap foot break you're fine you didn't leave nothing bad happened I'm scared foot break footp break BR foot brake and then eventually when you get the foot brake down then wheelies will look just like this where you're dipping on the brake a [Music] little dipping on like I don't hardly even need a break to be honest I barely use it on the 400 one hand R slinging in the hand a little you know start getting flossy with it then you get real spicy you can clutch up you can pull in the clutch right about here right do some revs some L rev rev coers brass we can do some stoppies very bad stoppies single rotor in the front of these things so she doesn't stop super hard but you can show off an all in front of of all your friends brav you can be like pulling in the clutch on them anyway I really don't see anything being relevant past that point it's believe it or not when it comes to wheelies it really does come down to just balls and just doing it if you're big scaredy cat then you're never going to get wheelies if you're willing to whisk risk it for the biscuit then do it if this is like your daily riding bike you're you don't have anything else but the bike you shouldn't be trying this cuz if you messed up you're going to tear up your daily vehicle and you're going to tear up yourself and then you're going to be in trouble but if this is a play toy like it should be then you'll be just fine ready we're going to do the clutch himr hold on oh went back too far I was scared there it is oh sensitive foot break on this thing super nice yeah I'll put up one little snip bit for y'all just to show you the height that [Music] high not that high that's a good little height that you can carry it and you're never going to Loop cuz it's not high enough [Music] and that right there is like perfect balance point I was off the throttle and it was just rolling on engine brake and that's what it looks like so yeah guys hopefully this will help you on your quing journey please don't Loop please don't have the motorcycle be your only vehicle and then you're out here trying to kill it like that by way when it goes quiet that means the clutch is in like if yall a figure that out that's what I'm doing right there I'm just pulling in the clutch and letting it roll so the only thing keeping this thing from falling back or forwards is behind balance point and on my foot break and also this thing has tons of power don't don't say that you don't think it has enough power cuz if you're just doing this I don't know why it's not working [Music] then you know it has all the power you have to get the motor RPMs up you get what I'm saying like it would backflip if I didn't stop it with the brake if you're having problems it's because you're not letting the RPMs up which like I said only need to be going about 20 and it's sitting around six and you only need to get it to go up towards eight I think that was nine but you get it it only has to go up like 3 4,000 RPM above what RPM it's cruising at at 20 for it to sling up and realistically if you put it about I say around 78 that's like a lot of RPM and you can Brazilian swing this thing so lean one way and then yank the bike has enough power it can come up on itself by itself but I mean that's a that's a little Advanced but yeah the bra you guys do it all the time so it's no clutch it's just when you yank and then you're in the power something about it something about it rolling up from the side makes it easier to come up than like being straightforward and just hitting it like I can still get it to come up that way but it's easier with the little side lean yank back to being straight I don't know how I don't know how that math works but it does I think it's just like the rolling yank momentum that makes it do it so the bazilian guys are all like swerving like this if you'll watch them right there and then it just comes up anyway guys hope you enjoyed this video I'm going to go back and get supermetal the custom seat is here and there's this tunnel that I've become aware of that goes underneath a mall and a highway so it's a biging so I'm going to go do that today and there's also a 108° top top temperature today I think it's only like 90 right now but she's gaining boys so it's going to be a hot one anyway uh I love yall I hope youall have a good one and uh thank you Riley for sponsoring this wheelie tutorial video be safe out there guys his YouTube page continues to post videos of himself speeding [Music]
