I'll guide you from absolute scratch. No third party plugins. No vocoder, just creative use of GarageBand. Botanica [music] equals organic sounds plus digital glitches plus mood organic sounds. Warm acoustic instruments like piano, strings, and guitars, often mixed with nature recordings, birds, wind, [music] or water.
Digital glitches, high energy electronic elements, 8-bit [music] sounds, and glitchy textures that make the organic sounds feel futuristic or shattered. Mood. It is often described as ambient for ADHD people because it can switch from a peaceful meditative atmosphere to a wild chaotic section very quickly. Project setup one. Create new project. Open garage band. Choose empty project. Select software instrument. I'm going to paste my chord progression from my main Botanica project.
The chord progressions are D minor, B flat, F, C, D2, D3, F3, A3, C4. A sharp one. A sharp two. E3. F3. A3. F2. F3. A3. C. C4 or E4. C2 C3 E3 G3 E3. Botanica pad main atmosphere. Add spectral gate for botanica glitch effect by going to filter to spectral gate and choose arctic radio broadcast.

[music] >> [music] [music] >> For tutorial, I just use two pads. In your main music project, I suggest you to use many pads with Botanica effects for better results and arrange accordingly. Let's add new instruments for vinyl crack effects. I opening synthesizer to pad to outer lands synths [music] in controls.
Follow the steps to get good vinyl crack effects. [applause] >> [music] [music] >> Texture noise very botanica. Add other instruments for water effects. by going to arpeggiator to synth layer to droplets. Again, follow the steps to get desired results for better effects. duplicate it and again for droplet effects. Add new instrument for rain effects by going to synthesizer to sound effects to thunderous ambience. Duplicate it for better sounds effects.
By these steps you can get Botanica effects in GarageBand. Use automation for better effects. If you like, use different automations for different instruments. This is my main Botanica project.
