There was a recent survey done talking about how when a local business misses an inbound call about 80% of those callers simply will not leave a voicemail. They simply hang up and they instantly go to the next person in line on Google and could give that person a call looking for the same type of service businesses. Now, I work with tons of different people in a type of service businesses anywhere from dog groomers to roofers and other types of businesses like nonprofits and so on and so forth. Now, for a dog groomer as an example, when they miss a

Now, for a dog groomer as an example, when they miss a phone call, it cost them roughly about $100 for a grooming, okay? And you know, like a haircut, a bath, and so on and so forth, doing their nails. But, when you switch the gears and go to something like a roofer or a plumber or a contractor, when they miss a single call, it's not a $100 deal. It can be something in the near, you know, $1,000 or $5,000 or like a roofer, it can be a 10, you know, a $10,000 job that they're missing.
And if you're not answering that phone, what's going to happen is they're going to go somewhere else to look for, you know, they're going to look for somebody else to be able to do the job that will talk to them on the phone. Now, in this video, what I want to do is that I want to show you how to set up a GoHighLevel system called a missed call text back feature that will instantly text back those people who call you and hold their attention just a little longer and save those high ticket sales just about every single time.
So, anyway, if you're inside your GoHighLevel system, I want to just want to show you how to set this up. Now, the beautiful thing about GoHighLevel, they just simply updated their system not too long ago. Now, they give you a couple of options and there's one I would say is just keep it simple stupid and it works really well. So, anyway, if you're inside of GoHighLevel, now all all to do is go down. You will say when you log in, you got your dashboard.
This is my demo account that I want to show you, but you can go down to the very bottom down here. There's a little button that says settings. You can click on it. And then you'll scroll down to where it says phone systems. And then if you haven't got a phone number set up, what you're going to have to do first, you're going to have to add a phone number. You can import a phone number, you can create a new phone number, and it will take a little bit of time to verify verify that.
It may take a day or two to get it all verified, but once it's all verified, all you need to do is simply come over here to where it says voice. There's a little button right here at the top. You click on that. And then you'll begin to scroll over and you will see this little magic button that says voicemail and missed call text back system. So you click on it and then scroll back down to text back and then you simply enable this button.
This is so simple to do. Now one thing I want to encourage you to do before you get it all going is you will need to customize this. And so what I've done is I created something like this. It says, "Hi there. This is XYZ business. Sorry we missed your call. How can we help you today?" And then once you've got that set up, you click you just simply click save. And then when somebody gives your business a call, let's just say you're up on a ladder, you're working in a yard, or you're grooming a dog, or or you're working with a client, or whatever it may be, or maybe you're under a house doing some plumbing, what's going to happen is this system will automatically catch that person and send them a text message and thus therefore capturing the lead that is there and then it will set it up into the system.
Beautiful. I mean, I work with clients all the time and I was working with a dog groomer here a while back and they talk about how they miss about a roughly 100 phone calls each and every month. Now for you know, someone like a you know, again, someone like a dog groomer, that's a 100 $100 every single time they miss a phone call. Now there is another way and I don't usually don't use this way here, but this is the simple way.
Let me Let me show you a different way that's a little bit more advanced, and I use workflow systems. And what I'm going to do, I'm going to come back out to this, and I'm going to come up to this tab, and I'm going to go into one of my current clients' information, okay? So, I'm going to change this, and I'm going to click on automation. And then I'm going to bring you up I've got part of their information blocked out where you can't see it.
But anyway, you'll see where I've created what is called a workflow, okay? It's called the missed call text back, and this is the way we used to do things in the old days, so to say, over the past few years. I still use it today because it's a little bit more advanced. But if there's nothing here, you just create a new workflow, and then it will pop up, and you'll begin to see it in the workflow list like this. I have a couple of different ones up here.
But this one right here, you can see that we've had this one activated turned on since June 11th of 2024. So, it's been running almost a little over 2 years now. And uh and you can see where they have had roughly a little over 2,200 people that have actually called their phone number, and the system has caught those missed leads that are there. And the reality is, I was talking to this client, and they said they missed about 100 calls per month, and that's about $10,000 of sales that they were missing.
But now, they have been able to block and and and capture those leads so that uh they can actually get back with them and and begin to grow their business. And it's been a game-changer. Matter of fact, I was talking to them the other day how they said it was just an absolutely game-changer, and they can't they don't know what they would do without it, okay? So, anyway, what I'm going to do show you how to set this up.
You just click on missed call text back, and we go up here, it opens up, and you will see that I have a workflow created in here. If you don't have anything, all you need to do is come up and begin by creating an uh add trigger. And this one right here was a phone call. When somebody calls that number that you've created, it will automatically answer that call for you and then it will sit create a new opportunity right here.
And this is a new you have to click on this little plus and it will create a new opportunity and therefore sending it to your contacts list and that way you can capture their phone number, you can capture their email address, you can capture their name if you want to and so on and so forth. And then once that person calls and then hangs the phone up, what's going to happen, it will automatically send them a message right here.
And and it will send and here's what the message says. I open it up. I've customized this one. It says, "Hi there. Sorry we missed your call. We're currently, you know, grooming or your plumbing or whatever it may be." And then it will capture that. And one thing I want to suggest to you is be sure to when you're creating this to do an opt-out so that you so that it is legal and everything else. But you want to capture the all that information.
So anyway, let me exit out of this. Now, a pro tip that you can do after this is that you can create a wait for 30 seconds or 2 minutes or whatever it may be. I like to do it for 2 minutes. Okay, this is a delay after the person hangs the phone call up or you send out your last last text message. And the reason so is you want this to feel a little more like a human and cuz here's what's going to happen. Once they hang up, it the system is going to look and see if did the person reply to you.
Hi, I need some help grooming a dog. I need help plumbing or whatever it may be. If they did, the system will stop and it lets you continue on. But if they don't reply, what I have done is I created a little 30-second delay and it will pop up with another message right here and it says, "Hi there. Just checking in one last time to see if we can help. We're busy grooming, we're busy plumbing, we're busy on a ladder, we're busy on a roof, whatever it may be for your business, but we will return your call sometime this afternoon, okay?
And when you do this, this will automatically capture those leads that you're missing. And again, some of these leads can be thousands of dollars. But this system will automatically capture all these leads so that you can follow up with them and so that you can continue to grow your business and you don't have to, you know, worry about answering your calls and and stuff like this all the time and and it pulls it all into the CRM that is inside this system.
And this is my preferred way here as doing the workflow. I love the workflow system. It just works so well. And so anyway, once you're done creating this workflow, all you have to do is come up and click the save button just like on the other and it will set everything up for you. This is so easy that, you know, that and it will radically change your business, I promise you. It has hours, it has our clients, it has everybody that we worked with that the way we installed this on.
And so anyway, whether, you know, missed call cost you, you know, $100 a month or it cost you $5,000 a lead, whatever it may be, turning those single features on inside this system, you know, inside of GoHighLevel account will radically change your business. So anyway, grab your 14-day trial of GoHighLevel in my link provided. If you have any questions, if you need help setting stuff up like this, feel free to reach out to me.
I'm here to help either way. All right, guys, have a wonderful day.
