Today we are bringing the ultimate defensive menace back to life. The official Dennis Rodman defensive demon build for NBA 2K27. What is up, YouTube? It's your boy Cheese here, and welcome back to another build video where I am bringing back Dennis Rodman. I've been making a Dennis build every year since 2K19, and this year I'm bringing you guys two different options for my Dennis Rodman build. The first one is going to be a 6'7 defensive demon, and then the other one will be a 6'8 option if you guys want a little bit more rebound on your build.
Thank you guys for tuning in. If you guys are new to the channel here, please hit that subscribe button, and welcome to my YouTube channel. I'm so excited to have you guys here, and I appreciate all of you guys' support. With that being said, let's get right into this builder. All right, so like I said, I'm going to give you guys two different options on a Dennis Rodman build this year. The first option is the option that I picked because uh I always try to make a undersized Dennis build.
Um so this is going to be the defensive demon. This is going to be a power forward at 6'7, 229, and a 7'1 wingspan. Starting off with the close shot, we're going to put this up to a 72. Um and then for the driving layup, we're just going to leave this down at a 53. And then for the driving dunk, um this is going to go up to a 73. That's going to get us poster on uh bronze, >> [music] >> and I will show you guys the cap breakers here.
You can cap breaker dunk, which is what I did. Um and then kind of rounding this out, we are going with a 57. So a Dennis Rodman build is obviously going to be very defensive heavy. Um if you guys are looking for kind of an OP uh scoring build, this is probably not the build for you. But if you guys want to dominate on the defensive end, then you are in the right spot. Let's take a look at what these cap breakers look like here on this 6'7 defensive demon.
So here's a look at the uh 6'7" option for the cap breakers here. As you can see, I went uh with three cap breakers here just to be a little bit more usable on back cuts for uh dunks. So, I went from a 73 to an 81, and then I can still get up to um an 85 if I really wanted to, but I'll probably stop with the cap breakers here. This is what the defensive or I'm sorry, the uh finishing cap breakers look like on this build.
Next up for the shooting here, we have our mid-range at a 69, and then our three-point shot is going to go up to a 79. I'm going to be honest, I was a little scared with this shooting uh when I made this build, but I've actually been shooting really, really well out of the corner. Uh I will show you guys a jump shot that I'm rocking on this build, too, and I even might try to add a couple cap breakers uh just to get a better jump shot and some other badges, but uh this is what the shooting looks like.
And I'll show you guys the cap breakers on this as well. Probably would stay away from adding any shooting cap breakers to this build. I think the shooting is fine on this Dennis Rodman build, but if you guys wanted to, you do see some decent return here for the middy. If you guys wanted to add some mid-range to your Dennis Rodman build, but I would probably stay uh elsewhere with the cap breakers here. Moving on to the play making for the past act, we have a 65.
That's going to get us the break starter, dimer, and versatile visionary on uh bronze here. For the ball handle, this is going to go up to a 58, and then uh for the speed with ball, this is going to go up to a 63. So, not a whole lot of play making, but I will say um obviously for a Dennis Rodman build, our main objective is to [music] uh play defense, box out, and get rebounds. So, this is uh going to be one of the lower sections of the build, but I will say the cap breakers go crazy on this.
So, later down in the year, uh you can and turn this into a slight little demigod that can dribble and handle the ball a little bit. Let's take a look at these cap breakers now. You do see a lot of really good cap breakers in the play making department of this build as you will see in these 6 8 option as well. Uh play making is probably where you will see the biggest return on cap breakers. So just keep that in mind somewhere down the line if you guys want to turn this into a uh little Dennis demi-god build. >> [music] >> Um the cap breakers here do go really really well.
So I just keep that in mind when you guys are applying the cap breakers to your build. On to the rebound, we have an 82 on the offensive rebound again. [music] Um but again, we're just an inch taller here and then for the defensive rebound, this is going to go up to a 92. Um the whole point of doing this would be to get this defensive rebound to a 95 for uh the possession getter badge to get that uh one tier higher. So if you guys do choose this route, I would highly recommend getting this defensive rebound to a 95.
Um but that'd be the only way I put caps on this build is to get this from a 92 to a 95. On to the defense here, we have an 85 on the interior. Um and then for the perimeter, we have an 82, which is very high for a power forward. I think that's a great spot. You get that challenger on silver and you can max plus one or max plus two that. I went crazy with a 93 on the steal to round out this defensive demon and then an 84 on the block.
Um so that gives us paint controller, warm up hot finder denier. We have a lot of defensive badges and a crazy steal. So we're uh you know, pretty hectic on defense causing problems. Let's take a look at these cap breakers here on the defensive end. Nothing too crazy here from the uh defensive side of the cap breakers. Uh but to be honest, I don't think you really need any uh cap breakers here. It is a defensive demon build.
So the defense is uh extremely good on this already. So I would probably recommend, uh you know, adding it to the the dunk or pass, ball handle, speed with ball, that kind of thing. So, um overall, nothing crazy here, but you can get this steal up even more. I'm probably going to add some steal here as I continue to get cap breakers throughout the year. And then finishing out with the physicals here, we have an 87 speed.
So, we're moving really, really well for a power forward. >> [music] >> I went with an 81 on the agility. That's going to give you that flash badge uh to help uh just running around in transition, stuff like that, playing lanes. That's going to be on gold. And then for the strength, I went up to an 88 on the strength. And that's going to get us the box out beast um on gold as well, as you can see there, which is very important for a Dennis Rodman uh defensive demon build.
And then finishing up here with the uh vert, go ahead and put this up to an 80. As you can see, that is going to get you the uh pogo stick on >> [music] >> uh gold from silver, which is a very important badge to have. So, when you round all of this out, as you can see, uh unfortunately, we didn't get the Dennis Rodman uh player comp, which I completely disagree with, but we get a defensive [music] demon, an awesome uh archetype build name.
Um really, really having a lot of fun on this build right now. You You go so crazy on defense. >> [music] >> Um it's a lot of fun. So, uh this is the 6'7" version, the defensive demon. And then I'm going to show you guys the 6'8" option if you guys want to be a little taller and have a little bit more rebounding on your Dennis Rodman build. Here is what my badge layout is looking like for this Dennis Rodman build. Like I said, I made these 6'7" versions just because I wanted to uh be a little more well-rounded, I guess you could say, on the defensive end.
Uh and I do play uh Pro-Am 5, so I'm using this as a swing build. So, my main objective is to play the pick and roll, play the lanes, >> [music] >> uh and get box outs for my center to come down with boards. And if I have to, obviously, I will go for the rebounds as well. Um so, for the finishing, I did go with um aerial wizard because if you guys don't know, you can use aerial wizard as a way to get rebounds. You can use square when you're on offense to uh track down rebounds.
Um so, having this badge boosted up higher helps with that, uh you know, just crashing the offensive glass. Uh for the shooting here, I have set in fire on gold. Um I think this helps with like the lower uh shooting, so you get it on silver and then I plus one to two gold here and then I have dead eye on bronze, arc cadence on bronze, and static midi on bronze as well. Um for the playmaking, we only get one slot, so I put this on uh versatile visionary for now, but uh as I continue to get badges, I'm going to get that break starter on there as well because you do have bonus slots, if you guys don't know.
You can add uh bonus slots to other categories and whatnot, so um once you add tokens and uh bonus slots, I can add this for finishing once I get more tokens and then I can turn this into a break starter option for me. Uh for the defense, I have seatbelt on bronze, I have glove on gold, high-flying denier uh on silver to start, but I'll get into the fuse and reaction badges down low, paint controller on silver, and then interceptor on um Hall of Fame.
And then down to the uh rebounding section, we have uh the box out boss on gold. This is a very important badge. If you guys um are playing swing in fives, um or just in general if you guys are playing wreck or park obviously boxing out is huge for the sink snatcher. I plus one this to legend and then I plus one this possession closer as well. This is going to be the defensive rebounding badge and then for Crasher we have this on bronze to get us some decent animations here.
For the physicals we have a pogo on gold and then Bruiser. This is a very good badge this year. I might >> [music] >> mess around and try to get this on gold as well with a max plus one or max plus two and then brick wall on bronze. So down here this is kind of how I lined out my synergy badges. So as you can see if you guys don't know these are going to be your max plus ones this fuse section here and then these bottom ones are reactions.
So when you play a game and you guys start you know hitting some of these badges and getting them to trigger in the game it will react and then plus one whatever you pick in this reaction section here. So I have for example possession closer on gold. So every time I get a defensive rebound this paint patroller will react and it will go from silver to gold. Right? So you want to kind of pick and choose [music] you know game plan a little bit what you guys do well and what you can trigger consistently in the game to react and get these other plus ones down here in the reaction section.
So like I said I have possession closer for defensive rebounds, sink snatcher. Again that's going to trigger my chase down from silver to gold and then interceptor that's going to trigger my pickpocket from gold to Hall of Fame and then my set and fire is going to trigger my arc cadence from bronze to silver. So, um I know it can be kind of confusing. If you guys have any questions on how you should lay out your badges, uh feel free to put them in the comments and I will do my best to help you guys out.
But, that's kind of what I did for my layout. Um so, again, let me know if you guys have questions and I'll do my best to help you out. Here's a quick look at my takeovers that I'm running. So, for the finishing, I picked hydration hero because I do have that dunk for back cuts and stuff. Um shooting and play maker just going to be stock. For the defense, there's a couple decent options, but I went with hawk cuz this is going to help um you know, getting steals and forcing pick-ups on the defensive end so I can blitz, uh which is really really fun on this build because it's super athletic.
Um so, you get a lot of good steal animations on this build. And then for the rebounding here, again, there's some decent options on what you guys can pick. I went with second chance cuz this is going to be uh like your see the future badge if you guys are familiar with it where you can see uh the exact location of a miss on a rebound. So, on the court, it'll show you where the rebound's going to go and you can run right to it and grab those rebounds.
So, um >> [music] >> this is my takeover layout. If you guys have questions on what you should put on, um let me know in the comments. I'll help you guys out there. But, um make sure you guys add these um takeover perks as well, whether you want the longer duration or the accelerator. Uh that'll just help you guys with your takeover. So, don't forget about those on the right-hand side, as well. Moving on to the animations, we don't have a bunch of animations here because we don't really have any uh dribbling yet.
So, as you can see, you know, kind of basic here. Um but, I will touch on some of this stuff. Um for the um motion style, we had to just run Dennis Rodman because this is a Dennis Rodman build. Um I do need to change a couple of these things like uh I had this I didn't even know I had only Latrell Sprewell on. So, make sure you guys put on your custom dunk package because I did not there. So, you guys can make fun of me in the comments if you want for messing that up.
But, not a whole lot of animations here. I mean, just tailor this to whatever you guys want, you know, your go-to shot to be and stuff like that. But, we don't really have a whole lot of dribbling and stuff like that. So, let's go over to the jump shot here. This is the jump shot I'm running. >> [music] >> Do not make fun of me. Don't knock it till you try it. This WNBA 7 base is absolutely insane. I'm greening everything right now.
It's really really good. So, we have WNBA base and then we have Charles Bassey and J.R. Smith with a 78 blend towards Bassey. I got this on three of five speed. And then as you can see here, I'm like 10 ticks up on push. So, um, really really liking this jump shot. It's It's honestly chicken. If you guys are looking for a, you know, lower tier jump shot with lower requirements, this only needs a 79 requirement here. So, if you guys are in the market for a jump shot, please give this a try.
I promise you you'll like it and I'm shooting really really well. Arguably shooting better on this build than I am on my point guard with a 99 three ball. So, give this jump shot a try. I promise you guys will like it. Then just taking a quick look at the dunk packages here. I have front clutches off too. Nothing too crazy in the dunk style creator here. We don't have any contact dunks yet. So, um, got one movie one foot moving hangs and athletic.
And then make sure you guys put on those standing dunks as well. And then for my signature, I wanted something powerful for my Dennis Rodman build. So, I went with Latrell Sprewell. Um, just really like the the power behind these dunks. I feel like it fits the De'Aaron persona. So, um, by no means am I saying you guys have to put on this, but it is a good dunk package. I really like it. So, um, if you guys want, throw that on there.
Make sure you guys put on your alley-oops as well. Uh, but nothing too crazy from the dunk packages here. Just make sure you guys put on um, those standing dunks um, for back cuts, but, you know, overall just tailor this to whatever you guys like. All righty. So, here's option two. We have a power forward again, 6'8" 236 and a 7'2" wingspan. So, this is going to be a taller, uh, a little bit higher on the defensive rebound here.
So, starting off with the, uh, close shot, we have this at a 67. And then for the, uh, driving layup, this is going to be a 54. Driving dunk, we're going to put this up to a 74. And this is going to cap really, really well for us. I'll get to that in a sec for the standing dunk, but this is at a 45. And then for the post control, this is going to go up to a 54. So, again, pretty similar in the finishing department, but this one does cap and get you contact dunks, uh, if you put cap breakers towards your driving dunk here.
Let's take a look at those cap breakers. Moving on to the shooting, uh, essentially the same shooting here. We have a 78 on the three-point and a 70 middy. And then for the free throw, this is going to go up to a 70. Um, so again, essentially the same shooting. This is just going to be a little bit taller, but you'll get, you know, all the same jump shots and that kind of stuff. Um, and you can add cap breakers if you guys want.
There are a couple jump shots you unlock if you get up to like that 80 or 81 on the three-point shot, but for the most part, uh, the shooting on this has been, uh, really, really solid and I'm pleasantly surprised with it. Um, how it shoots out of the corner on offense. On to the play making I went essentially the same here. We have a 65 on the pass for that break starter dimer and versatile visionary and then for the ball handle this just goes up to a 47 which we can cap again.
If you guys want to add some play making to your Dennis build. I went a little too far here. This is going to be 47 and 52. So this is the play making on Dennis again not really known for his play making abilities. This is a strictly defensive build to dominate the defensive end but like I said the caps kind of go crazy here for the play making. So later on down in the year if you guys want to make a little demi god out of it.
I'll show you guys what these cap breakers look like. On to the rebound we have an 82 on the offensive rebound again. But again we're just an inch taller here and then for the defensive rebound this is going to go up to a 92. The whole point of doing this would be to get this defensive rebound to a 95 for the possession getter badge to get that one tier higher. So if you guys do choose this route I would highly recommend getting this defensive rebound to a 95.
But that would be the only way I'd put caps on this build is to get this from a 92 to a 95. On to the defense for the interior we have an 82 which is very solid and then we did a little bit lower on the perimeter. This is going to be a 72 on the perimeter and then a little bit lower on the steel as well. This is going to be a 90 but still very high. We still have that interceptor on gold which is nice at the 90 mark there and then for the block it's going to be a little bit higher.
We're going to get this up to an 88 on the block. So very very good defensively. Let's take a look at how these cap breakers look on the defensive end now. And then finishing up with the physicals this is going to be an 82 on the speed and then a 78 on the agility. So, a little bit slower than the 6'7 version. Just got to pick and choose kind of what you want your Dennis Rodman build to look like. I went with the same 88 strength on this build to get that box out obviously on gold. >> [music] >> And then as we finish up here, we have that 80 vert.
So, we get the high-flying denier on gold and the pogo stick on gold. So, this is going to be you know, a little bit different but kind of the same vibe just between these two builds. Let's check out what this one comes out as. For this one we got the disruptive [music] glass cleaner. Another very, very solid archetype named big fan. But those are the two different Dennis Rodman variations I'm giving you guys this year.
I know cap breakers are not as prevalent as they were last year. Yeah, we're still very early into the year here. So, had to kind of modify this to make it a little more defensive than I have in years past. But really, really liking both of these builds. And let's take a look at what these badges look like on these builds. Not a whole lot to show here on the shooting portion of this 6'8 option. Like I said, we can get this up to an 81 if you guys want to just get, [music] you know, different jump shot animations.
But overall I'd say the difference between 78 and 79 is pretty minimal >> [music] >> in the shooting department here between the 6'7 and 6'8. The defensive cap breakers on the 6'8 option are not great, I will admit. But you don't really need anything else in my opinion. I mean, if you guys wanted to add some more perimeter, I wouldn't recommend it. But again, it's your guys's build. So, tailor this to your play style.
I would probably save cap breakers in this defensive section and put them elsewhere. So, for this 6'8 version on the cap breakers, as you can see, we get a little bit of a better cap breaker option for the driving dunk. We can get all the way up to an 88, which is going to give us those contact dunk animations. Um so, I would say this is a perk of going with the 6' option. If you guys want down the line, we can get contact dunks on this Dennis Rodman build, which is pretty cool for cutting and all that good stuff.
[music] So, uh keep that in mind when you are deciding if you want to go 6' or 6' 8. So, here is the rebounding cap breakers. Like I said, I would highly recommend if you guys do make this 6' option. The reason I did this was to add three cap breakers to the defensive rebounding to get that to a 95 just for more badges. So, if I was going to pick a spot for this 6' version of Dennis, this is probably where I would start is getting that defensive rebound from a 92 up to a 95.
Here is probably the best cap break option if you go long term when you get a lot of cap breaks. You can get all the way up to an 80 on the pass, an 81 on the ball handle, and a 76 on the speed with ball, which is honestly in my opinion very, very good play making for any build, especially a Dennis Rodman build. Kind of down the line when we start getting a bunch of cap breakers. So, keep that in mind if you guys want, but this does cap really, really well. 81 ball handle, 76 speed with ball, and an 80 pass.
So, could turn this into a demi-god down the line. And then kind of finishing up here, I am going to include this Dennis Rodman face scan so you guys can >> [music] >> get your guy looking like Dennis Rodman like I did. So, if you guys have any questions, put that in the comments. I'll help you guys out here, but this is the Dennis Rodman face creation I have. >> And that just about wraps it up on this Dennis Rodman build.
I hope you guys like both of the options I gave you. I know we are low on cap breaker so I can't make it super offensive heavy but if you guys are watching this video I'm assuming you guys want a defensive power forward build so thank you guys for watching. Put in the comments which option you guys like better whether it's the 6'7 or the 6'8 maybe just to help out someone else who's in the market for a Dennis Rodman build but I appreciate you guys watching this video.
