Hocket/Botanica Drop Sample Chopping + Tutorial transcript

[Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] Okay. So, basically to explain what's going on here is that there's basically four lanes of sample dropping happening at the same time. So, if you look here, there's the four here and there's this little patcher that's seating those inputs. And basically there's basically an LFO tool. And they're each being chopped up like this. Basically like uh 16th notes being chopped up for each different section.

So only one sample plays at a time. So, if I were to disable all my effects on this real quick and show you, take listen to it. So this should [Music] be so without the sample chopping. [Music] So all together put the hocket Like I said, just this add a codec to add some glitches to it. Another thing that I did is if you go into the surface, I basically just mapped the rate and the smoothing of each LFO. So, just to add less clicks into it and stuff like that.

Also, I'm automating that um rate as well throughout the track. uh added ele uh just a standard just thenector to add random glitches that going on. You'll see here. Oh, I think it's been turned off. Yeah, just that. Um then it's wave just adding more movement just a little bit offset spectral compressor break out all the tones out kind of makes them all the same. some dynamics just because the spectral compressor was like introducing artifacts on the like quieter stuff and dynastia just OTT um EQ and then some more width and basically that's it and yeah that's That's pretty much how I'm doing hocket sample chopping.
