have you ever had a situation where you woke up in the middle of the night with the thought that the only thing holding your music back is not being able to make samples like [Music] this from samples that sound like this [Music] if the answer was yes congratulations you're in the right place this technique will be useful no matter if you're trying to make the next ambient abstract Masterpiece a big Botanica hit or just trying to add some texture to your Beats today we'll be using a free plug-in called tug spect it's an image-based spectral filter plugin which applies spectral processing to any image you upload or shape that you draw it may seem intimidating at first glance but trust me it's pretty intuitive once you spend some time using it the first thing we want to do is widen the selection window and then turn the power and wider knob all the way to the right keep in mind that you won't hear anything until you use the drawing function now let's make the drawing tool thicker by turning this knob right and choose the spray option from the menu we will be focusing on the spray function which allows us to transform any sound we want into Blissful and dreamy liquid textures press shift and use the mouse to spray until it looks something like this it might take some time but be patient you will slowly start hearing some sounds just keep going until you get something that you're satisfied with keep in mind it will be extremely quiet you might want to use the normalize function after you export it we will use this sound as the base for our sample now it's time for the part that all the Botanica and pedal core enthusiasts were waiting for click the random button and set the randomized speed to how fast you want it to be set the Decay higher and play around with the attack knob [Music] this is what these two methods sound like [Music] combined the last step is clicking the link in the description to download this plugin and experiment using your own sounds hope you enjoyed this video and see you in the next one
