take any trades there. Uh, that was a no trade day. What am I talking about? So, in any case, um, I had traded on Monday and then today's Wednesday. So, nonetheless, I've had about one no trade day per week. So, yes, there will be days where there are not a quality setups and if that's the case,

at about ten dollars and 35 cents for that squeeze through the high. And we got to move all the way up to just under 12 and I made 25 thousand dollars on that trade right there. Looking back, I wish I had just taken it off the table and said, "That's it. I'm

What's up everyone? Welcome to [music] day 41 of my small account challenge of growing a $2,000 account using Charles Schwab as my broker. What's up everyone? Welcome to [music] day 41 of my small account challenge of growing a $2,000 account using Charles Schwab as my broker. This is the third day of trading inside my mobile command center, a 4x4 Sprinter with a Starlink mounted on the roof, solar panels on the roof, battery bank right under this bench, and I've got my multi-monitors hanging right here from underneath the bed so I can sit and work in the morning.
Got a couple hours of trading in today, locking up base hit on two different stocks and making a little bit more progress as I continue to grow this account. Now, as a reminder, all the profits from these small account challenges get donated to charity and every time you guys hit the thumbs up, I add an extra dollar to how much I'm donating and we have now raised over $498,000 and donated to more than 50 children's hospitals across the country including children's hospital in Puerto Rico, Washington D.C. and in Guam.
Virgin Islands is coming up next, that will be today. So, day 41, when I sat down this morning, I was a little disappointed that the scanners didn't look better. YYGH was our leading gainer up 92% but very crowded, thickly traded meaning it was very stacked with buyers, very stacked with sellers, traders fighting even just to make like one penny per share and I don't usually do well in that kind of environment. So, wasn't interested in that.
DAIC, I also traded yesterday and so that was the stock I ended up focusing on. It was our second leading gainer as you can see right here and right after 7:00 a.m. it hits the scanner on my running up scan showing me it's squeezing higher. Now, one risk factor with this stock is that they announced there's been a delisting notice and they filed an intention to appeal it. However, we haven't heard the results yet of the appeal.
If they lose the appeal, they could get delisted which is kind of scary. So, it's not stock I really want to be holding but taking some quick base hits I was okay with because it does meet my my pillars of stock selection fairly well. It's up more than 10%. It's got more than five times relative volume. It does not have a fresh news catalyst, but the price is good and the float is under 20 million shares. So, it meets four out of the five pillars and what we had this morning was essentially, this is pre-market right here, this was after hours.
So, we had this move after hours, pre-market is hanging out a little bit below those levels and I thought if it could get back over the pre-market high, our next target would be some of these levels from from after hours and we ended up getting exactly that squeeze. And so, as the momentum and volume were building up right here, I was able to get a trade right here on the break through this pivot of 619. I jumped in, I jumped out fairly quickly.
It didn't end up becoming the bigger winner I was hoping it would be, but in spite of that, still got a win out of it. I was hoping we would break over seven and continue like true daily continuation up towards 750 and eight, but it just wasn't able to do that. So, jumped in and out of that for a $1,700 profit. That's good. It's a base hit. The trade didn't really work out as well as I hoped it would, but can't complain too much.
So, account grew in that trade from about $95,000 up to $97,000. Then we get a scanner alert at about 7:41 a.m. CRE, it's a Hong Kong company that puts out a headline that they hit a record of 550 customers. Now, I don't really know the company very well, but very similar to Arcon yesterday, it's cranking here, going from up like 15, 20, 50%, 70%. It's ripping up, volume is increasing quickly, but is low to start, but the relative volume is high.
So, based on my five pillars of stock selection, this actually meets all five. It's up enough, it's got good relative volume, it's got a news catalyst, it's the right price and the right float. However, like Arcon, it basically made one big move and then it was never really able to hold back up to the highs of that move. Topping tail candles. And this is a stock where although I traded it in the small account and I was able to book a profit as you'll see right here of another $1,700 on CRE.
I was red in my big account. So, let me give you the side-by-side P&L. So, there's my main trading account. This is the one that I have been well, trading in for many years growing from a small balance of what was initially 600 less than $600. And so, in this account I uh you know, this just ended up being very similar to Archon which I was I think I was right on that yesterday. I was red I know I was red in the main account yesterday as well.
Um I just kept fumbling the trade. I was getting in too high. I was stopping out during these pullbacks down here. I wasn't really trusting it. So, by the time it starts to get like up to here and up to here I'm like, "Yeah, I want to punch it." And then it doesn't pull away. It just pops and then stalls out and rolls over. So, I ended up being red $15,000 today in my big account down 18,000 on CRE, but I am green on VCIG.
Now, VCIG you'll notice I did not trade in the small account. After these two trades and the fact that neither of them really worked out super well, I said, "You know what? Let's take risk off. I don't want to make a mistake in the small account. So, I'm just going to I'm not going to take any more trades." But VCIG in my main account had this initial pop right here. I jumped in it and jumped out of it for about $2,000 profit.
And then it comes back up and I got back in it and got back out of it there for another profit, but only made $3,100 on it. So, it was not a big win. Um now it's selling off and coming back down. And it felt like today momentum um was quite a bit softer than it was yesterday. Not for any really good reason. It just so happened to be the case. So, the game plan now going into Thursday and Friday towards the end of the week is well, the small account has done well this week.
Green three days. My main account is kind of pulling up the rear and I need to try to get the main account now caught up a little bit so I can at least be I guess flat on the week ideally. Of course, only one good trade would would do that. So, at this point probably tomorrow I'll be focusing mostly on my main account with the small account being on the back burner, but I am getting darn near close to $100,000. So, you know, it also could be just one more good trade and boom, I'm above above 100 grand, which would be exciting, but on the other hand, you know, if the market continues to be a little softer, it might take it might take longer.
So, let's just see how things look tomorrow morning and as always, if you want to check out a 2-week trial, you can use the same scanner news charting platform that I've got right here. And you can also watch over my shoulder as I'm trading. You'll see the ups and you'll also see the downs. Big green days, big red days, and sometimes a day like today where I'm green in one account, red in the other. So, I hope you guys check it out and I'll remind you as always that trading is risky.
My results are not typical and there's no guarantee you'll find success whether you trade with me or you learn on your own. So, your best bet to manage your risk is to practice in a simulator before you ever put real money on the line. With that, I will see you guys back at it first thing tomorrow morning at 7:00 a.m.
