Trying a new genre: Botanica Music + Blender Animation transcript

And each leaf is a small musical idea like this. I'd like to try to make my own botanica music. But before I'm allowed to do that, I have to go to the forest and talk to the board of directors to get permission.

Do you know the genre through and through? >> Well, not really. I [music] just heard a couple things and think it's neat, so I'm trying it. >> Well, it probably isn't Botanica then. It's probably something that vaguely resembles Botanica, but I don't think you're getting that deep with it, as far as I can tell. Yeah, I guess I'm not getting [music] too deep with it, but it's just a a genre that emerged on YouTube, right?

I mean, it doesn't seem like it'd be harmful for me to give it a shot and say, "Hey, maybe this is Botanica." >> That is unacceptable. It is not up to you to say whether it is or is not Botanica. You may leave. >> Wait, can I just show you uh one of my Botanica pieces and you can just tell me if it is or isn't Botanica? Maybe you'll let me know. This is a board of directors, not some kind of comment section. No, that just sounds like fake shred.

[music] No, it's not botanica. [music] No, that might be an element, but it's not botanica. >> All right. Well, at least am I allowed to do that? Like I [music] I guess if it's not botanica, I don't really need your permission, right? >> Well, it sounds like botanica enough that you need our permission to [music] do it. >> Oh, really?
