peace God I feel I'm overdue sharing my oral hygiene routine you know how I get the pearly whites fresh breath flossing is the initial step in my oral hygiene routine to eliminate any plaque that may be trapped between my teeth I use ecent floss which is suitable for vegans I brush my teeth twice a day for the first brushing I use a standard toothbrush with a homemade oil base the oil base consist of olive oil Sage Salon cinnamon G Ginger and clove for the second brushing I use a misok which is a natural tooth cleaning twig made from the ne plant the brand I currently use is a mirror but this is not a sponsored recommendation I'm just putting you on to use the misok you have to peel about 1 cm of the outer layer to expose the inner bristles and you can soften the bristles by chewing on a tip or use your thumb to separate them you don't need any toothpaste just the misok stick using a misw walk stick may take some time to get used to as you need to hold it perpendicular to reach certain angles of your teeth however I feel that I really love the clean fing of my teeth after using it since it's my first time using a misok I will provide an update later on I'm really considering making this my primary solution at brushing my teeth and dropping the toothbrush for me the best oils I've found for oil pulling are sesame seed oil and coconut oil I swish around 1 tbsp of oil mixture for about 15 to 20 minutes and I use this time to do other activities like taking a shower getting dressed reading a few chapters of a book or just working out once finished I spit it outside somewhere in a vacant area just to avoid clogging the sink normally I would use a copper tongue scraper but I had to replace my old one and this was all they had nonetheless it still gets the job done all I do is extend my tongue out place the Scrapper as far back as possible and press down firmly as you pull it forward until the scraper is off your tongue I rinse and repeat this process five to 10 times until all the residue is removed and you know the tongue achieves a vibrant paint color I rinsed the scraper off with hot water and put it back in its cloth casing that it came with last but not least I prepare a homemade mouth wash for my mouth wash I make an herbal tea using Sage clove Ginger a stick of Salon cinnamon and two drops of oregano oil [Music] as you can see my oral routine consists of a variety of basic herbs which I use for brushing my teeth and mouthwash I keep it simple as nature intended and it hasn't failed me herbs have been used for Oral Care since ancient times I still visit my dentist twice a year for cleanings and they complement me often on my oral upkeep I highly recommend checking out the book Dental herbalism fire a lot of gems in there addition additionally if you are interested in purchasing herbs and bulk I have affiliate links from star west and Mountain Rose Herbs at the end of the day what you eat and drink matters my goal is to stay hydrated and ensure that I'm drinking more fluids than I am eating solids I'm talking coconut water Spring Water herbal teas and homemade fruit juices and when I do eat food I try my best to ensure that the food I eat has a high water content you know the fruits and the vegetables and strawberries pears and apples are particularly good for Oral Care it has helped that I avoid smoking you know it was never my thing I used to be a big coffee drinker about a decade ago wow I sound super old saying that but yeah I moved on from that but when I started following Dr sa's nutritional guide it helped me break away from that addiction you know because constant consumption of coffee can stain the teeth I found tea is a great alternative even what I use for the mouthwash I like to set a separate batch just to drink it as is for my coffee drinkers you should consider trying dandelion root or a variety of mushrooms you will be surprised of how they compare as an alternative you know it's not going to be like coffee but it's a great replacement but that's all we have for the today if you enjoyed today's video please do me a favor and hit the like if you didn't feel free to hit the unlike it is what it is until next time peace SC
