want to make samples for ambient beatss or [Music] Botanica we'll be using mostly free plugins grab the spectral Suite bundle spectral sand and Labs by Spitfire audio the next one is optional and it's paid but I will also be using portal let's make a cord pattern nothing too fancy just some basic minor 7th chords now follow the chord notes using a string pluck instrument of your choice again keep it simple here's how it sounds together now take the chord and slap spectral gate on it we're trying to find that sweet spot where it sounds like birds singing [Music] underwater export it and stretch it out [Music] now take your lead and slap spectral sand on it we want to manipulate or automate the time slider to give it that extra glitchiness here's what it sounds like now [Music] cut the lead and rearrange it to make it sound a bit more interesting and less [Music] static now export it and stretch [Music] it I'm using some of the lead parts on top of it to add variation you don't have to do the next step but I'm running the whole sample through portal add the portal bits to the [Music] sample add a field recording to slice X and arrange it [Music] run the field recordings through spectral sand and add it to your sample now let's add a beat and some base to [Music] it and there we have it remember that even the most boring sounds can be resampled into something beautiful keep stretching cutting and rearranging your samples hope you enjoyed it and I'll see you in the next one
