if you're a fan of plantasia by Mort Garson and want to learn how to make music for plants and bugs keep watching today we're making [Music] this from this we all love plantasia it's the album which United all synth and plant enthusiasts the beautiful Moog sounds flowing arpeggios and playful melody lines still sound amazing today what we want to do is stay true to the original character but with a modern twist let's listen closely to the source material pretty boring let's add some spectral processing but before we do we need to low pass the chords if you're not new to the channel you're probably familiar with the free plug-in tug speec it's a VST which allows you to draw any pattern you want and process the signal in real time load up tug speec and keep drawing until it sounds like caterpillars singing a tribute to Mort Garson [Music] you can make some beautiful swirls out of cords that sound like the classic Moog arpeggios from PL anasia after some tries here's what I have we're going to add a delay and a spring reverb for that extra watery sound let's pitch it up and use it as a layer repeat the process for the main cord sample and the lead but draw a different shape each time to get some variation [Music] remember this is trial and error it'll probably take some time until you get a sound that you're happy with but keep going and Trust the process beautiful now let's add some field recordings and Automation and all together it should sound something like this [Music] congratulations you've just become an Avant Garden producer time to put on some gardening gloves and start planting hope you enjoyed the video and I'll see you in the next one
