We're back. We're bigger, we're better than ever, and we're back to benching. How many times did I say B-word? Comment below. Okay, first though, we're going to start out. Haven't been taking this recently, in a while, actual powder pre-pre-workout. Nitric, of course, because it is later in the day, and I don't want to disrupt my body's natural system. This flavor, actually, apart from the iced tea one, of course, is probably like one of the best flavors I've had in a long time.
I really like it. Full daily serving of creatine right here. Okay, let's do a little warm-up. Get a little full rotator cuff activation. My shoulders were definitely, or are still definitely, my biggest op when it comes to upper body workouts, particularly benching. So, I continue to work on that. And today, we're going to try to work around the rotator cuff issue with the benching. Special surprise. Okay, now we're about to get to the chest pressing.
I'm pretty excited. Probably going to freak some people out doing this, but the freakier the better. I hope you get super freaked out. Let's check it out. Bench. Reverse bench. So far, I've only done this one other week, so like one other workout, but I think I'm going to try to do it weekly now, and progress it up like I used to progress bench, and we'll see how that goes. With the addition of two, count them, two marshmallows. >> [gasps] >> Okay. >> Okay, I have not benched 135 in a long [clears throat] time.
Whoops. >> [laughter] >> Okay, let me reset. >> [laughter] >> Maybe seeing my muscles will motivate myself. >> [screaming] >> Damn. Dudes always put this here. This looks ridiculous. It's huge. And I can really see it. Like it's so in my face. Maybe this is just the wrong mic. I don't know. This is ridiculous. I'm going to I'm going to move this after this. Damn. All right, that was pretty rough. But, you know what? It's been a minute, and I did not feel that in my shoulders whatsoever.
So, I will take it. Yeah. That was better. >> [cheering] >> I'm getting stronger cuz I'm drinking more Gorilla Mind, and I used code beats. Oh my goodness gracious. That was rough. >> Okay. >> Thanks. I'm going to do a back down set cuz that was crazy. That was crazy. So, yes. >> Okay. That was fine. That was okay. Okay, yippee. That was great. Now, if I can only structure it, program it a little more strength-based, we'll see how this goes.
But, uh I don't know. I'll have to get back to you on that one. Little warm up. Okay, let's see. Yikes, that feels heavy. >> [snorts] >> Okay, I got nine. I'm trying to get eight to 10, so Right in the middle. I'll take it. I don't know if I've mentioned this here before, but I stopped working my upper body altogether for like a hot minute, like at least like almost half the year. Uh and then I started doing one upper body workout a week, and just in the last 2 weeks, I was like, "You know what?
I'm going to start doing two again." So, everything's still a little bit wonky, but slowly and surely we're getting there. >> [screaming] [screaming] >> Oh my goodness gracious, I could probably afford to go down down in weight. Tough thing about taking a long break and then coming back is you might expect yourself to be where you left off, but it might not be there. It probably won't. I know it's not for me. Lot to overcome right now, both the actual physical lifting the weight and the mental handling of the ego.
Yikes. Oh my god, [laughter] it's like a cow milking machine. Okay, now we're going to use this little dingaling here to do twice that push down. I'm I'm never or pull down, whatever the freak. Don't comment on that. Cow milking. >> [laughter] >> Actually, tangent alert, tangent alert. I don't know if you know this or how many people out there know this, but milking a cow and milking a goat completely different technique.
It's very different. The teats behave and perform in a different matter manner. Okay, right? It's like this this is how I like to do it, okay? You go like this. This. This is how you milk. And then the other is like >> [laughter] >> I don't know. Okay, it's been a minute since I milked a goat, but there's but there's a different strategy, okay? Trust me. One day we'll have a pregnant goat that's friendly enough for me to show you how to milk it and I will demonstrate the techniques.
For now, you just have to trust me. Okay, that's a warm up cuz this is kind of light. >> Last set. I wonder if you could go. I don't think you should do that. I don't think that's I just doesn't look right. Okay. Huh. >> [laughter] >> Oh, thank you. Thank you, Shira. Aw. It's always the buffest person at the gym that's got to compliment you saying so sweet. >> [laughter] >> Haven't done this in a long time, so I don't even know how to gauge like how heavy to go.
Oh, definitely not that heavy. That should be good. Ooh, that's that feels like a nice stretch on like this side of my wrist. Some feels wonderful. I'm going to let it go through my fingers. Yes, I can feel the power. Yes, I'd say there's there's two, maybe three. Two of my favorite muscle burns, quads and forearms. Third place goes to glutes, but quads and forearms are the best burn. We'll try We'll try this way, see how this feels.
Feels similar. Yes. It's It's time to re-beef our forearms. Re-beef. Thank you. Okay, there's often times mosquitoes specifically in this corner of the gym. I don't know how it happens. There's really no doors over here, but the mosquitoes always come right here, and they bite the freak out of me. So, I'm really hoping there's no mosquitoes. Also, because we've had rise in West Nile virus, the biggest influx since 2008.
So, stay safe out there. Yeah, if you see me itching and scratching, it's either placebo or mosquito. I'm going to do one more forearm thing before we start our next exercise. This is the forearm thing. >> [screaming] >> It's also good finger mobility training. I think I'm actually supposed to go slow on the way down, probably. >> [laughter] >> Probably just like eliminated all of the benefit. If you're digging the physique right now, the build, it's thanks to the bean smoothies.
Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. The cheat code, bean smoothies. Not diet, not exercise, not cardio, not low cortisol, bean smoothies. Lean bean smoothies. Okay, now we're going to do push-ups. I try to go to failure, so usually for me that's around 20 at the moment. At least like moderate There's a mosquito. Be careful. I >> [laughter] >> I just saw it. Okay. Um moderate discomfort like around 20. Okay. >> [sighs] [snorts] >> That was moderately uncomfortable.
So, that's our first set of 20. Yippee. >> [cough] [gasps] >> Getting moderately more moderately uncomfortable. Yes. Okay, now that we're done with the workout, mandatory flexing in the mirror. So, let's do that. It's part of the workout. Gosh. You wouldn't understand, Mom. Okay. Ready? Flexing my back because I did not work that out. Triceps. Okay. Looks nice. Right, right. That looks cool. Very cool. Ow. Ow. >> Go for a lat spread. >> I suck at lat lat spreads.
Does it look good or does it look stupid? >> You look awesome. >> Okay. Get that. Yeah, look at that. >> [groaning] >> Oh, triceps. Yeah, we >> Turn a little. >> Is it looking cool? Yeah? Okay. Okay. I'm going to try. That looks stupid. I look dumb. Wait, how do you do it? >> [laughter] >> Hip as the kids would say. >> Bro. >> I'm good [laughter] at that one. This one. >> Yeah. >> That kid did on the Ellen show. Okay.
And that was the workout. It didn't go quite as expected. It started out a little bit a little bit It did get better over time. Sometimes you just got to go start booty cheeks and it gets better. So, you know, don't give up just because it sucks. Hopefully you enjoyed. Please let me know something else that you would like to see. I'd appreciate it. And also, if you would like to join me other places, I stream live on Twitch. I post on Snapchat shenanigans. Uh don't expect anything crazy or spicy. It's just my life, but >> [laughter] >> yeah, it's nice. I caught a lizard the other day and I posted it on Snapchat, so that was pretty cool. And anyway, that's all I got to say. Please leave a silly comment below. Let me know how you're feeling and see you in the next one.
