Welcome to the build guide, where I am providing you the best builds for every position in NBA 2K27. You are guaranteed to find a build that will fit your play style. This video is time stamped for your viewing pleasure. All I ask is that you guys uh like the video and share it with one of your teammates that need this build. Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, the video that you have been waiting for, man. Welcome back to the build guide, guys.
I have been doing the build guide now going on 4 years, and every single year this video is giving people builds that they will use for the entirety of the 2K cycle. Whether you play park, you play Pro-Am, you play rec center, I don't care what game mode you play, you will find a build that fits you in today's video. [music] All I ask that you guys do is smash the like button, sub to the channel if you're new, and share this video with your teammates so they can be on the best builds possible, too.
So, obviously this video is time stamped for your viewing pleasure. So, we are going to start with the point guards, man. As you guys can see, this is a 6'1 PG build. Now, before any of you guys jump the gun and go, "Yo, Chuck, what is this? You said no 6'1s." Listen to me loud and clear. The one thing about the build guide is I am going to provide a build no matter what play style you are, and no matter what you're looking for.
You will walk away from this video with a build, and I will tell you guys this, man. These small guards are starting to move. They are going to figure it out. I still personally would not tell you to go 6'1 over 6'2, 6'3, 6'4, but [music] I'm seeing the vision a little bit, okay? I understand why people want to. They get so much more attribute points. As you guys can see in this build right here, man, this build gets contact dunks, a 99 three-pointer, and then obviously has insane play making upside, and solid enough defense to be able to guard the corner.
If you guys are playing on a 6'1, I hope that you're not making that build trying to guard ball, because you absolutely have no chance. You will get shot over, you will get worked, but this right here is a very solid build. Now, like I said, the build guide is all about variety. We go from 6'1 and now we're going to look at 6'5 PGs. And guys, I have had so many questions in my streams, in the comment section, "Chuck, do you think these bigger builds are going to be able to play PG?" And my answer to that is this.
I do truly believe that even if you want to play fives, that a 6'5 PG would work. But obviously, for park, for twos, for threes, whatever park game modes you're playing, these 6'5s are very solid build. on this build speaks a lot. I don't know if you guys have been watching the gameplay, but the contact dunks are crazy, man. Finishing in general is crazy. And anytime you can get 89 driving, 78 vertical, it's going to get you guys all of the contact dunk packages necessary to boom on people.
When you pair that with a 99 three ball, yes, a 99 three ball, with only five categories. When you pair that with a 99 three ball, phenomenal ball handling, and solid all around defense, these 6'5 builds start to look extremely scary. It honestly took everything out of me not to make a 6'5 on day one. Obviously, if you guys have been tuning in to me at all, you know I went with the 6'7. But these 6'5s are a very good option to play the game.
I really like the way that they've come out, and I think that if you guys are looking for an extremely high upside offensive juggernaut, this is the direction you should go, because having that legend limitless, with the insane contact dunks, is going to make your opponent struggle with you significantly. And I got another height coming at you, man. Let me go ahead and introduce you guys to the 6'3, which is what I think the sweet spot is between the 6'1 and 6'5.
Guys, if you are solely a fives player, looking for upside, in my opinion, the 6'3 is the way to go. And some of you guys will go, "Chuck, why? You know, why would I not go on a 6'1? I get so much more attributes." The reason, in my opinion, to go 6'3 over 6'1 is that 2 in is a lot, man. In some areas in life, they try to tell you that 2 in is not a lot. I am telling you guys right now, in the game of 2K, 2 in can go a long way.
And with a 6'3, you are not going to be contested significantly as much as you would on the 6'1. And the reason to choose the 6'3 over the 6'5 is simple. The dribbling upside is much higher. You get a lot more dribble styles and a lot more dribbling animations in general. So, for my guys out there who are crazy dribblers, a 6'3 is probably going to be a little bit better of an option for you than a 6'5. But again, this all comes down to play style, which is exactly why the build guide has so many different play styles in it.
I guarantee you you have found a build that you would like to run at the one spot. And if you haven't, you're one of these guys that are not optimizing your builds properly. And I'm telling you guys right now, I would lock in and pick one of these three. It is going to last you the entire year. And of course, I understand that PG is the hardest, and I mean hardest build to make by far. So, I wanted to include a little bonus one for you guys, you know what I'm saying?
So, make sure that you guys comment bonus PG if you have made it to this point. And I wanted to answer this question for you guys because I already know some of you guys are going to be in the comments like, "Chalk, can you not play PG on a 6'6? Can you not play PG on a 6'7?" If you guys are watching any of my streams, you see me I'm playing PG on a 6'7. But it's not for everybody, man. I want to go ahead and give you guys the best builds that I can possibly give you.
And in my opinion, if you are only going to play PG, I would look at making one of these builds. The reason that I went 6'7 is I'm kind of like a tweener. I play point guard, I play shooting guard, you know, I never exactly know what role I'm going to be. And it just fits me a little bit more. But for my people who are always playing PG, these are the builds that I would lock in with if I was you. Now, let's go ahead and talk shooting guard builds, and we're going to go ahead and start with the Demi Gorgon itself, my personal favorite build in NBA 2K, my 6'7 man.
And I get the question every single day at this point, "Chalk, is there anything that you would change about your current build?" And the answer to that is no. This is the best build I have made on day one. It was a phenomenal decision and it does everything that I need to do. Now, for those of you guys who have not seen the build yet, you're going, "Yo, yo, yo, what's up with this 55 driving dunk?" Relax. With five cap breakers, which you will get relatively quickly in this game, you get 87 driving dunk, which is going to get you guys all of the contact dunks in the game.
The reason that I love this build is you only need five cap breakers to be at your full optimization. Every other build in the game is 12, 13, 15, and in reality, guys, after that first five to seven cap breakers, it becomes a grind. So, in my personal opinion, this is the best build overall that you can make in 2K. Not just to play shooting guard, but to play every single game. But, I love this build and I'm so glad that I ended up making it.
Now, for build number two, I got to show love to one of the most underloved, underutilized, and kind of just forgotten about builds in the game, and that is the 6'8. Now, I already know, do not blitz me. I already know some of you guys went straight to the comment section and you're like, "Chuck, 6'8, you said don't do 6'8." The build guide is about variety. I have obviously told you guys personally, I would go 6'7 or 6'9 or 6'6 over going 6'8.
But, this 6'8 build right here is really good. And again, I've already covered all that on the channel. It's all about variety. I know some of y'all are dead set on making a 6'8 build. So, I got y'all. This right here is my boy Two Tags' build and you guys already know Two Tags goes absolutely crazy, man. Me and him are two of the best shooters in 2K history and he has been dominating on his 6'8 build, man. It does not really have any weaknesses and it's very similar to mine.
It only needs about five cap breakers for the ball handling to be at its absolute peak optimization. Would I take this build over mine? Absolutely not. Would I tell you that this build is very, very, very good? Yes. So, if you guys are somebody that doesn't really want to dribble as much and you're somebody that kind of just wants to be able to shoot over people a little bit more, this might be the route for you. And like I said, that's what the build guide is all about, providing variety.
But, I wanted to make sure I gave you all a different look cuz I haven't shown any love to the 6'8 so far this year. Now, of course, it wouldn't be right if I showed you guys all these shooting guards and I didn't show you one of the highest upside builds in the game. This right here is a 6'5 that I had ready to make for day one of NBA 2K27, guys. It was a game time decision for me, man. I was so torn between the 6'7 and the 6'5.
[music] I ended up going the 6'7 from a Cat Breaker perspective. But, the keyword here is but, the 6'5 has so, and I mean so much upside with it, man. It can quite literally do everything. It just needs a little bit more Cat Breakers because you need to Cat Break your three-pointer, and then you need to Cat Break your driving dunk. So, it needs a little bit more Cat Breakers. It needs a little bit more time to be fully optimized.
But, this build can truly break the game when it's in the right hands, guys. 99 three with the contact dunks, all the good dribble moves, and defense at 6'5 is a very, very, >> [music] >> very scary combination, and I'm telling you. And I think once people start getting their Cat Breakers, this might be one of those builds that you start seeing coming out of the woodwork, man. Something that people have had prepared, and something that people are going to roll with.
And if you guys are somebody that is a long-time player and only wants one build, but wants to have it set up for the Cat Breakers in the future, this might be the one for you, man. It's tough. Now, of course, I got to show love to the lockdown defenders out there, man. If you guys have made it to this point in the video, please, please, please do me a favor, smash the like button. It helps me out a ton. [music] Now, listen.
For my locks, and I know some of you are going, "Chalk, wait a second. Where are the small forwards at?" There is no such thing as the small forward position in the game of NBA 2K. If you guys are new to 2K and you just don't know, the small forward position is not a thing. It goes point guard, shooting guard, lock, power forward, center. The power forward guards the back end, the lock guards ball. If you are a small forward, you have to be able to guard ball.
And I see a lot of you guys submitting these builds, and they're small forwards with no defense. And I'm telling you guys right now, your Rec Center teammates are going to hate you. All of your teammates are going to hate you because you can't really do anything on a small forward build. You need to lock in and play your role. And again, just because we're playing our role doesn't mean that this isn't an elite build, man.
As you guys can see, we can still put the ball on the ground a little bit. With cat breakers, we still get contact dunks. This isn't an anti-fun build. It's not like a good boy corner build. It's a great defensive build with a lot of upside once we get our cat breakers on the offensive end. And I get it. Getting cat breakers is boring, and some of you guys want to go kaboom and dunk on people off rip. I understand. So, of course, this is the build guide.
I got variety for y'all. Now, obviously, there's certain things that you're not going to see me drop in the lockdown defender category, okay? I know some of you guys want to be out there on 85 perimeter, 85 steal, and call yourself a lockdown. That is not a lockdown. You guys know that you have to hit certain thresholds in order to be an elite defender. And before somebody comments, "Chuck, I box people with an 87." Please.
And even if that was the case, if you really were the best defender on the planet with an 87 perimeter, imagine how much better and how many steps you'd take forward if you had a 94 perimeter that you could cat break to 99, man. Just trust the process. Trust the builds, guys. I know what I'm talking about, man. I eat, breathe, live, and sleep 2K, guys. I don't get off of it, all right? I do not get off of the game. We stay in the lab.
Look at this. We're providing you with the best builds. Come back to this video in 12 months and tell me that these aren't the best builds at the end of the year. And if you don't believe me, go check out the build guide from the previous years. We do this every year, man. We hit the hammer on the nail, and nothing is going to change this year. Make this lockdown if you have to have the contact dunks right away. And of course, I had to supply you guys with another height.
And again, the build's not going to look super different because it's a lockdown build. This is the one position where like you don't really need to mess it up. It's pretty cut and dry. Obviously, when you play like point guard or shooting guard or power forward or center, there's things that can change a little bit. There's play styles that change, but when you guys are locked-down defenders, man, let's stick to the basics.
Let's just do what we do, man. Make the build the best way possible for you to get stops. Not enough people want to play their roles. I promise you guys right now, if you dial it in to being the best role player on your team, your team is going to win more games. And some of you guys are going to chuck, "You don't get it, bro. My teammates are trash. Like, I've got to do more." No, you don't, man. Be the best defender on the team, best defender in the game, and I guarantee your team's naturally going to win more matches.
Now, welcome to the power forward position of the build guide. And if you guys have made it to this point, man, smash the like button and comment power forward gang. Let me know that you're rocking with me, but look, I'm going to show you guys some variety in the swing builds, man. Make sure that you guys lock in. You guys are going to find a build that you like a lot. Now, this build right here is going to be one of the only builds that starts with extremely low pass accuracy, but you guys would cap break that first, in my opinion, okay?
You guys cap break that one first. And I know what you guys are thinking, but Chuck, the driving dunk is 82. It's right there. It's daring me to cap break it. Just lock in, man. One thing about power forwards, okay? Let me go ahead and teach you guys a little threshold real quick. You guys need to have 77 pass accuracy. I do not care what else you have on your build. Pass accuracy and steal and block are probably the three most important attributes in a power forward.
Obviously, shooting is a given. You can't play 2K on any position except for center and not be able to shoot. But those three are the big three, the main ones that you have to lock in on. And this build does absolutely that. It is a monster in every category. And I think that you guys will like it a lot if you are looking for a 6'8 power forward. But Chuck, you don't understand. Like, I don't want to cap break my pass accuracy.
I'm not going to get enough cap breakers. I don't play the game enough. Relax. You're at the build guide. You know what I'm saying? I'm going to show you guys variety. That is what this thing is all about. This build right here is just another example of a 6'8 power forward that's starting with a little bit more pass accuracy and is going to have to sacrifice a little bit in other areas. However, it is still fully optimized like every other build in this video for that position, okay?
So, just because we're coming up on the pass accuracy a little bit, doesn't mean that we're losing out on optimization. It just becomes a pick and choose thing. Now, the only thing that you guys should be asking me at this point is, "Chuck, what height should I be going on power forwards? I'm not really sure what to do there." And the answer to that is it's totally a preference thing. You're like, "Oh my gosh, Chuck, I just want you to tell me." But the truth of the matter is this, if you guys want to be a little bit faster and run people off the three-point line, you're probably going to want to go like 6'7, 6'8.
But, if you guys want to sit in the paint and like prevent the dunks, you might have to go 6'8, 6'9, man. Again, it's something that only you can answer. I can lead you guys to the water, but I can't make you drink it. I don't know exactly how you guys play. You guys are going to have to be the ones that make that type of decision. Speaking of 6'7 builds, again, you guys thought I was only going to show you 6'8s and not show you 6'7s.
I got to show you the two meta heights. Now, this 6'7 is with no pass accuracy. You might see a theme here. Your first five cat breakers will go into pass accuracy, but it is fully optimized in every other category to be at its elite spot, okay? So, listen, for my power forwards, let me tell you a few thresholds that you guys want to hit. You guys probably want to get your 90 D-board. You guys probably want to get 90 steal.
You probably want to get 80 interior. If you guys just pay attention to the thresholds in this video, the attribute spots that we are going, we are fully optimizing the build to be at its peak performance day one without cat breakers and then get better as we unlock them. And obviously, I don't know how many cat breakers you guys are going to unlock. And your cat breakers is kind of like a preference thing. Some of you guys ask me like, "Chuck, where should I put my caps?" At the end of the day, you put them wherever you want to, man.
You put them wherever you see fit. Some of you guys are naturally just going to put the contact dunks on because you want to go crazy out the corner, but that's not what everybody's going to want to do. Some people are going to want to cat break their D boards. Some people are going to want to cat break their steel. It's totally just a preference thing. And of course, if you guys are actually watching the power forwards at this point and didn't just jump here in the video because I know a lot of you guys just skip around and mess up the retention charts.
I'm talking to you. Yeah, you. If you guys have been watching the power forwards the entire time, you can probably tell where this is going. This is going to be a 6'7 build with pass accuracy, man. With pass accuracy day one. Just other stats reduced slightly. Again, it's totally a pick and choose thing and it's one of those things you have to ask yourself. Do you want pass accuracy off rip or do you want to be better in other categories off rip?
It is totally a preference thing, but any one of these power forwards, like the other builds, is going to be great. And guys, like I said, even if you're a power forward watching this video, send it to your point guard friends, your shooting guard friends, your lock friends. They need it. You guys know your homies builds are trash, so share it with your friends so they can make the best builds, too. If you guys are sitting here and it is the center portion of the video, man, smash the like button and comment center gang.
All of my centers out there. I'm going to get you guys right. Now, center is one of the hardest builds to make in NBA 2K solely for the fact that you have to make centers specifically tailored for specific game modes, man. It is not possible in the game of NBA 2K to make centers that can play every game mode, unfortunately. Because this build right here is going to be for fives. This is a fives inside center. And you're going to see in this build, as you start to look at the defense, why we don't play other game modes on it, guys.
And I know a lot of you are going, "Chuck, you know, I don't have a lot of VC. I I There's nothing I can do." You probably got to go play another position, man, because in order to be fully optimized at center, you have to have more than one build. It is nearly impossible to play threes on a 7-ft center, you know? it's almost impossible to play it on the twos on that type of build, solely for the fact that you just don't have the type of defense that these people that are making park only builds are going to have.
But, if you guys are here for a fives inside center, this is the one right here, man. This build is an absolute monster. But, of course, not everybody's an inside center. I know some of y'all are poppers. Some of y'all swear up and down you can shoot. I know a lot of you aren't shooting great. Make sure that you guys go watch the shooting secret video. But, all of you guys swear up and down you're elite shooters. So, of course, I'm going to give you guys a popper version of the 7-ft Pro-Am/Rec center build, man.
And again, don't worry. If you guys are looking for a park build, I got y'all there, too. Now, I will say this for my park players. You guys can make [music] power forward builds and play them as park centers. That is kind of the glitch. If you guys are somebody that wants to play Rec center and play park, one of the things that you guys can do is make a power forward build because those translate extremely well into park centers.
But, obviously, some of you guys don't do that. You only play Rec. You only play fives. This is a great option for you in terms of a popping center. My park center demons, don't worry. I'm going to get y'all right, too, okay? A lot of people have been asking for my twos teammates build. They say, "Yo, Chuck, your boy Chuck gets all the rebounds. Chuck, he's getting crazy lanes. He's playing super defense, man. What is his build?" Well, look no further.
This is the sauce right here, man. This is a great twos build and honestly, an extremely good threes build, solely for the fact that it has great defense great in every rebounding category and really just finishing categories, as well, man. This type of build right here goes absolutely crazy, especially once you start matching it out. In the beginning, it's a little frustrating cuz you don't get great dunks. But, as time goes on, man, and you end up getting your cap breakers, ooh wee, this build gets absolutely special.
But, yeah, if you guys have been watching me play twos or threes with my boy Chet Holmgren, this is the build that he's been on and he's been dominating with it. Now here I am actually popping up on you guys' screen for whatever reason. I have tried recording this like four times and my PC keeps rejecting it. I wasn't even supposed to be in the room. I recorded it all earlier, but this file will not work for some reason.
But, don't let that scare you. >> [music] >> This build is really, really good and if you guys are looking for a park popper, this is a really good one to use. I had to make sure I threw the park popper up there. I've had a variety in the entire video. So, what do I look like not coming with the variety for my centers regardless of the game mode that you guys are playing. But, yeah. This build right here is extremely solid, man.
As you guys can see, it is a good park popper and you're going to absolutely dominate everyone that you guys are playing verse on a build like this. And honestly, since we're here, we might as well do the outro now. You know what I mean? I appreciate every single one of you guys for watching. Let me know in the comments what build was your favorite and let me know how you guys are enjoying NBA 2K27. Is it a W? Is it an L?
Or are you still making the verdict on it? I appreciate you guys for watching always and as always, it is your boy Chuck. Stay tuned for more and say it with me. And I'm out. Peace.
