[music] >> Hey. Hey, fun maxing summary life. Fun maxing summary life, let's make this summer [music] a movie. I'm going to share with you guys my simplest methods for having fun for free, the easiest ways to meet new people if you think that you don't have friends, how to grow a fire friend group so that this summer can be a movie together, and how to have fun alone just in case all your friends are busy. So [music] that this summer can sound like this.
And you do not it's going down. Oh my gosh, life has just been so great lately having the time of our lives probably the worst. It's my time for A lot of the times the excuses that I hear about people not having fun is but I'm broke, but I have no friends, but I don't know where to find fun stuff to do. I don't want to go out alone. All of this cope All of this cope, I'm telling you guys this is all cope. You don't have to spend money.
Now I did recently make a video about this, but in this one we're going deeper. We're pushing the limits, going further. A lot of people think that having fun costs at least $8. That's how far going. But get rid of that mindset. Having fun is free. You don't have to spend money to have fun. You're thinking too much game. Next Next thing people say, "Oh, it must be nice to have a friend group. I don't have friends." Brother, how do you expect to have friends if you don't go outside?
And even if you do go outside, you don't put yourself out there. So I'm going to be sharing my tips and tricks about this. There is a formula to this. We're going to be breaking down luck maxing, being homeless this summer. So starting off, what's the methods to find free stuff to do? Let's talk about it. Use social media to actually be social. That's a crazy concept, you know, using social media to actually be social.
Who would have thought? Step one, follow social media accounts near you that post about free events. For example, if you live in a city, look up that city and type in free and usually there's going to be people that post stuff about free stuff going on, free pop-ups, free this, free that. And it doesn't have to be just accounts, you know, you can follow restaurants, coffee shops, bars, clubs, board game shops. The thing that you got to realize is that you're not alone in trying to make this summer a movie.
Everyone is trying to go out and do stuff. Everyone is tired of sitting at home all day. There's going to be people that already have the plots made. You just have to know where to find them. And you know, a lot of these restaurants, clubs, bars, all this type of stuff, they want people to come. It's not weird for you to come. The entire reason that they're posting these events is to meet people, is to make people come.
So, come. We shall be coming more. I definitely need to be coming more uh something like that. Second, look at event apps. Dice, Partiful, RA Guide, Posh, Eventbrite. Next, after you follow the accounts, after you looked at the event apps, what you're going to want to do is spam RSVP to every free thing that is going on. These are all screenshots of so many different free events that I found. Free music, free movie and pasta, free car show, coffee and pastry, free music and dancing.
This guy right here posts about free stuff and deals. Another example, I was scrolling on Reels and because I get so much New York stuff What did I do? I pulled up. I met people. I went outside. So, you got to put in that work. You do got to go outside. I'm not saying that it's just going to come to you, but this is how you find the stuff. High key, we are not shooting enough shots. A lot of people think, oh, it must be nice to have a friend group that does stuff.
I wish I had more friends. I'm so lonely, bro. Are you Are you even shooting shots? Why are you complaining if you're not putting yourself out there? Museum of failures. Nah. Dang, we are the gallery of trying. Think about it. LeBron James is literally the goat in the NBA right now and he has the most missed shots in NBA history. The more shots that you put up, the more they go in. These are all screenshots of me gesture maxing, inviting people to plots, inviting people to the free events that I found.
If you want your summer to be a movie, it's not just going to come to you, bro. Major cheat code in life, be the one to reach out, be the initiator. Most people wait and then they wonder why they don't have friends, bro. Love bomb your friends, say, "Yo, I'm thinking about going to this. If you want to pull up, come. I want you to come, bro. We all need to be coming more. Please come." And I'm literally showing you guys the proof of the pudding, following the free accounts, RSVP'ing, and then shooting your shots.
This combo right here literally had me pulling up to free gladiator fights in the park. I even got to hit mini pekkas with an axe, all for free. So, I'm telling you guys, shoot the shots. And right now, you might hear me talking and think, "Bro, but I don't live in NYC. I live in some random city and there's nothing ever going on." It doesn't matter where you live. There's always stuff to do. If there's people around you, people want to be social, people want to go outside.
So, what did I do? I'm literally about to show you guys why you are coping. I'm not trying to like yell at you guys right now, but uh I'm just passionate about this. So, yeah. I literally looked up random city generator on Google. What did I get? I got St. Paul. What did I do? I typed in free St. Paul on Instagram. The first post I saw was a post talking about free events in St. Paul. I clicked on the girl's account.
She has hundreds of free event posts, free ways to meet people. Shout out Maggie in Minnesota. I I You know what? Let's Let's run it back. Let's run it back. Random city generator. I Edinburg. Edinburg, Texas. Events. Okay, we got Edinburg Arts. Looking for something fun to do. Tap into Edinburg Arts for cultural events around the city. Ooh, okay. How does free live music night under the stars sound? Something to do gang.
People are posting about free outdoor pilates classes, free market in Edinburg, bro. There is stuff to do. You just have to look. So, that's the formula I'm telling you guys. Just do that for your city. Uh you know, you can look it up on Google, look it up on whatever. It doesn't have to be Instagram. Now, if you're saying Now, if you're saying, "But Mateo, I live in the middle of nowhere. There's nothing to do. No events going on." Bro, you got to understand that you don't need crazy plots, crazy events always going on to have fun.
Whatever happened to hobby? Whatever happened to playing soccer, juggling balls, gargling balls? You're telling me out of all the hobbies in this world, you don't like any of them? I'm telling you guys, you just have to try new stuff, experiment, pick up a hobby for this summer. Painting, reading, writing, photography. If you seriously try and sit here and tell me, "Oh yeah, I've tried them all and they're all boring." The only explanation is that your dopamine is just actually so cooked.
And if that's the case, you honestly got to do a little detox, bro. I'm I'm sorry your dopamine's cooked. We need to go back to real dopamine. Quit the brain rot. There's literally not enough lifetimes in this lifetime to uh max prestige out all your stats on every single hobby. So, pick one, experiment. You do have to put in that work. I'm I'm tired of you guys coping out here. As a kid, sticks used to be swords. We used to play with sticks.
We used to play with balls. We used to do all these things that didn't cost money. And uh that was endless fun for hours for us. So, if you think there's nothing fun to do, it's it's a you problem, not a other thing problem. You got a dopamine addiction. Let's fix that. So, now that we went over how to find the stuff to do, let's go over the tips to meet the new people at the stuff to do so that we all can have a fire friend group just like in the movies and the TV shows having like peer movie.
First things first, understand that nonchalant is dead. Do not try and be the nonchalant guy this summer. Do not try and be or for me. I promise you guys trying to be nonchalant is not as cool as you think it is. Nobody cares that you're like or for me in the corner. Putting yourself out there and meeting new people and wanting to meet people is not corny. People think that it's like embarrassing. As a society, why have we made it so weird, so awkward to talk to someone new?
That's literally one of the beauties in life and we've made it feel embarrassing. But, the thing is embarrassment is an under explored emotion. And the thing about talking to new people is that the approach is always the hardest part. Once you actually are in a conversation with them, you stop overthinking everything. And a lot of people think like, "Oh, I need to go out and meet people." You know, I do realize that we all want to make more friends and meet new people.
But, I honestly think that if you go out and when you go out, your main goal should not be to meet new people. Your main goal should not be to go talk to a girl and, you know, go like hook up with people, whatever. Don't flirt with people, flirt with life. What do I mean by this? The goal shouldn't be solely to meet new people. The goal should be to have fun. Flirt with life. Be whimsy and meeting new people, having fun, deepening your friendships will be a byproduct of that if you just stay whimsy flirting with life.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Now when you're at these events and you're talking to people, think about the vibe level that you bring because people match your energy. You don't have to be the craziest, most energetic, extroverted guy out there. All you need to do is whatever the vibe level is, be 10% above that. Because as we know when we meet new people, we're not closed off, but we're not the most open, we're not the most vibrant, bubbly.
We're We're a little reserved. We're like, "Hmm, I don't know about this guy." What I'm saying is just 10% vibe up. People are going to match your vibe. So if you're the one bringing it up, they're going to be more comfortable. If you are a little bit more vulnerable. If you're just like, "But you know, just be 10% more playful. Don't be the most serious guy in the room. If you're at a party and they're playing music, sing along to the music, dance to the music.
Even if you're the first one to do it, even if it's like all and no one else is really bobbing their Everyone else is like bobbing their head and you're just like getting into it more than everyone else. This is going to cause people to be more comfortable. That's going to make them open up. That's going to have the vibes thermometer of the entire party, of the aroma of the event go crazy. That's going to bring more life to it.
That's going to turn it up. Turn it up, Lucio. And everyone's going to like that. Everyone's going to like you more because you make them feel more comfortable. And that's going to make them want to be your friend type. Type, type, type, type. Next up, let's talk about taking the hobbies outside of the hobby. For this example, let's use the hobby of running. The thing about run clubs is that nobody actually joins them to run.
Running is just the activity, but the main reason people are there. They jog 2 mi and then go to the bar after. So if you meet someone at sports, if you meet someone at whatever hobby event that you pick up, that you start to do this summer, that you start to do now because this is the summer pregame, invite them to do something after. More often than not, they're going to be down. Especially if it's sports or something activity related, it's so, so, so easy to be like, "Yo, you want to get food after this?" New friend unlocked.
That's how you strengthen the relationships and get those TV show movie-like friend groups. Next, let's talk about repeated proximity. A lot of people don't think about this. I've talked about this in videos before, but it's so, so, so important. Repeated proximity. You see, making genuine real friends takes time. It's not an overnight thing. You don't hang out with someone once and become besties, you know? I want you guys to think about this like going to the gym.
You see, you can go to the gym once. You see, you can go to the gym once a week for 3 hours, or you can go to the gym every day for 30 minutes. Which one is going to have the greatest benefit? The less time every day because repeated proximity I can't I don't know if I explained that that well, but I think you guys know what I'm saying. Seeing people weekly, seeing people more than once. The more often do you see someone, the more familiar their face is going to be, the more the more comfortable you're going to be with them.
So, here's some ideas, type So, here's some ideas for you guys. Weekly sports, weekly coffee meet-up. Even even as simple as FaceTiming your friends on walks, FaceTiming your friends, sending reels to your friends, reminding them, "Oh, I care about you. Oh, I'm thinking about you." Now, let's talk about something a little serious here. You know, one thing with summer, making summer a movie, going out, meeting new people, having a good friend group is that a lot of people need alcohol to be social, which is not method, bro.
I'm going to be honest. If you always have to rely on a social lubricant to talk to someone, to, you know, approach a girl, to uh just do anything, that's that's that's nerfing you, bro. Now, the reason why I bring this up is because especially around college age and young people and Gen Z and all of that, even even I guess even older people is because we all want community, right? We all want friends. Especially for the summer, we all want a big social group.
Now, I will say it's super common for people when they go to college, they want to fit in. But, if this is all your plots are, if all your plots is, "Yo, dude, we got super drunk last night. It was awesome. Let's do it again tomorrow." But, if that's the only thing you guys are doing, are you guys really friends, bro? Because people don't want to be alone, but high-key being alone logs being with fake friends. I saw this post saying quitting drinking mean you realize I don't even like half the people I've been drinking with.
We were only hanging out because we were drinking together. I'm not saying that everything you do has to be sober, super serious, and productive, but it is something to think about as uh the weather gets warmer and we all started going outside and more because I think a lot of people like to romanticize having a huge friend group and lots of constant plans going on, but remember, it's quality over quantity. Having one or two solid good friends is way, way, way, way better than having a bunch of fake friends.
I mean, even being by yourself is way better than having fake friends or friends that drag you down. Um so, that's something to think about as we go into fun maxing for the summer. And real quick, if you guys like the way I break down life, health, swag, art, fitness, summer vibes, you'll love my free guild newsletter. I send out these legendary loot scrolls that got majestic music, cool stuff, and me up in with a little bit of wisdom on the side.
Join for free, the link's in [music] the description. Next up, one thing I want to talk about is running the solo queue. One thing I realized is that it's so hard for some people to have fun alone. They always rely on other people, you know, they If they want to go out, if they want to go to these events that I'm talking about, they need someone. They're like, "Oh, I don't want to go alone, blah blah." The thing is, you got to be able to get that solo win.
Sometimes, your duo's going to be busy, your squad's going to be busy. Maybe you're in the final top 10. You got to be able to clutch it up solo and get that Victory Royale. You can't wait on people, bro. Go do things alone. Take yourself on a solo date. Life will pass you by if you're always waiting, you know? You're going to die, go do it, bruh. If you see the beauty in something, don't wait for others to agree. Don't wait because that is how life is going to pass you by, and then you're going to blink and be 80, and then you realize that you didn't do anything that you wanted to do because you always felt like you needed someone else by your side.
And if I'm to be honest, one thing that I realized going to stuff alone is that I used to think, "Oh, everyone's going to think I'm weird for being alone. I look super awkward." And I think you once you start talking to people and they're like, "Oh, did you come alone?" They genuinely get impressed that you came alone. They're like, "Dang, I respect that. That's not something that I would do." So, it makes you stand out.
That's a skill that not a lot of people have. And I think it's so, so, so important. So, take yourself on a little solo date. Learn to have fun alone. You know, obviously though, you don't want to be alone forever. Friends and relationships and community is quite, quite literally, the best thing of life. Like, life wouldn't be life without I mean, think about it. If you're just like the only one in the world, that that would holy, that would be so scary.
Um bro, I was at the gym the other day and they were playing the news and they were talking about maxing, which is kind of crazy. But, what is maxing, you might ask? Think less, do more. Stop overthinking it, bro. It's It's just like approaching a girl, you know? The more that you think about, "Oh, what am I going to say when I talk to this girl? What What What is the perfect line?" The more that you think about it, the harder and harder it is to do.
The The more friction there is. So, don't think, just do. Sometimes the plan is having no plans. Sometimes you just got to aimlessly wander. And honestly, that trains your dopamine to be better. And honestly, that trains your dopamine to make life feel better without the grand plans, which is needed. And lastly, I just want to remind you guys that you create your own reality in this. Like, your life can genuinely be whatever you want it to be.
If you always thought that you were some antisocial kid or no one really liked you or everyone thought you were weird or something when you were growing up, understand that you can genuinely change your life any day that you want. You can make your reality whatever you want. So, make your life a life that you can't wait to wake up to every day, you know? You're in the driver's seat and you can drive anywhere you want.
You're the main character of your life, so treat yourself like it. Treat yourself like the main character. Go outside, put yourself in uncomfortable situations, talk to people, have fun. You don't have to spend money. The more that you go out and experience the unknown, the more life blesses you and rewards you. It's scary, but think about it. That is how you make summer a movie. And speaking about movies, the best movies have the ups and downs.
The best movies have the plot twist, have the uncertainty, have the rising action, the climax, the falling action. The best movies always have the main character go through trials and tribulations to grow, to experience life. So, why would you expect it to be different? I'm telling you guys it's not the fact that you're broke, it's not the fact that you don't have friends, it's the fact that you lost your childlike wonder.
You lost your spark. But, getting it back isn't that hard. The more that you take one step forward every day, the easier that it's going to get, and we all are going to have summer be a movie. We all are going to have summer sound like this. Get outside. Do something that you've never [music] done. If your friends are boring, as I said, bring that vibes speedometer up. Just be the one [music] to enhance the vibe by 10%, and they will match your energy, and then the vibes of [music] summer are going to be peak.
Life is going to be peak again. Fun maxing [music] summer. Don't think, just do. Don't think, just do. Don't think, just do.
