Somebody emailed me this very interesting article about Maria Valor. I'm just going to read it out for you because I thought I think it's fascinating. Again, um there's lots of these stories. You have the two volumes of the Vtora Enigma which digs into this. But anyway, let me read this out to you. I think it makes for interesting uh conversation. A thousand reasons to believe the Catholic faith is true, deep, and attractive.

Mystic Maria Vald Torta correctly names the members of the Sanhedrin at the time of Jesus. Between 1943 and 1947, Maria Valorta, who had been paralyzed and bedridden for many years, claimed to have received in the form of visions the complete account of Jesus's life and teachings with no other source material than the Bible and the Catechism of Pest the 10th. She filled 122 handwritten notebooks totaling 1,500 pages in single draft without any erasers.

Her work supervised and approved by her spiritual director is repl with historical, topographical, cultural and astronomical details that were later verified by experts. You can read the two volumes of the Maria the Vtor Enigma by Jean Faswis Lav. One of these particularly striking facts concerns the members of the Sanhedrin, the supreme religious council of Jesus' time. This assembly consisted of 71 members, priests, elders, and scribes.

Throughout her work, Maria Valorta mentions 68 different names of the members of this council. She does not compile a list of them as if she had wanted to prove something. But through the visions she received and the conversations she overheard, 68 names emerge. However, in the midentth century, compiling such a list is virtually impossible. It would therefore have been quite a reasonable to suspect that Maria had invented these names.

It was only after her death, thanks to modern historical research, notably the in-depth study of the writings of the Jewish historian Flavius Joseph Josephus and the Tal Talmudic sources that it became possible to identify sever several members of the Sanhedrin with certainty by cross-referencing various sources. Historical research has identified 49 of the 71 names. These 49 names were are exactly the same as the 68 reported by Maria Valora.

This result cannot be attributed to mere chance. The precision of the details sometimes including the father's name for example Yuakim Ben Zaka Zakai where Ben means son of renders the probability of a random coincidence nil. It is impossible to explain how an isolated woman without any special resources could have cited with such accuracy the names of the members of the religious institution that had disapp disappeared nearly 20 centuries earlier when no research had yet succeeded in reconstructing this list.

No natural explanation adequately accounts for this fact. The example alone illustrates the power of the impossible details that prove the supernatural origin of Maria Valora's work. No known novelist, historian or scientist has ever produced a narrative so rich in accurate information without relying on exhaustive documentation. While writing this monumental work confined to her bed, the only documents at her disposal were the Bible and the Catechism of St.

Pius I 10th. She had no access to the archives, no the opportunity to undertake research trips which might have proved her provided her with many details that appear in her work such as the list of the Sanhedrin. Summary Between 1943 and 1947, confined to bed by illness and paralysis, Maria Vtor received in the form of visions the complete account of Christ's public life and teachings. Over the course of 5 years, she wrote 15,000 pages without any crossouts or without consulting with reference materials.

She had only the Bible and the catechism. In total, she filled 122 handwritten notebooks containing 652 visions of the gospel under the guidance and the approval of her spiritual director. Her writings are fleshed with historical, cultural, topographical, and religious details of cons disconcerting accuracy. More than 120,000. Sorry. Two two7,000 specific details have been cataloged, analyzed, and verified by numerous researchers with a wide variety of disciplines.

The partial list of the Sanhedrin members is a spectacular example of this. But one could also site site the exact topography of the first century Jerusalem, the precise description of the moon phases corresponding to the dates mentioned or even the botanical and architectural details corrobor corroborated by modern archaeology. Among these thousands of factual details, some are simply astonishing while others defy any natural explanation, which tends to confirm that her writings come from a source that cannot be explained by human capabilities alone.

Her visions were received and recorded in a spirit of total obedience under the constant supervision of her spiritual director. She was not seeking glory or influence and her humility is deflected in the discretion with which she accepted what she believed to be a divine gift. Nothing in the entire work contradicts the Catholic doctrine. On the contrary, each vision is in keeping with the gospel and brings it to life in the eyes of the reader.

This fidelity becomes an increasingly striking sign as one becomes aware of the immensity of the body of work produced. The holiness of Maria Valtor's life was recognized by theologians of great authority. Bishop or sorry, Father Renee Laurrenen wrote of her her long life of suffering lived in total surrender to God bears witness to her holiness. This assessment offered by respect respected expert in mystical phenomena confirms that the authenticity of her testimony is rooted in a life deeply united to Christ.

Great saints and even several popes have encouraged the reading of her writings. St. Padre Peio who asked by someone if she could read Maria Valdora replied, "Not only do I permit it, I com recommend it." Pis I 12th after being encouraged to publish the text declared those who read them will understand. But Maria Vortto's visions are not an end in themselves. Everything in her work converges on the person of Jesus. His voice, his gaze, his teachings, his demands in our struggles against sin, his tenderness towards sinners.

These visions do more than confirm the historical truth of the gospels. They remind us that the one who walked the roads of Galilee continues to act today to speak to his friends and to prepare his church. As we contemplate these signs, our gaze is drawn to the living Christ, the same yesterday, today, and forever. He never ceases to reveal himself and remains faithful to his promise. I am with you always, even to the end of the age.

That is a very interesting video. You know, reflecting on the the members of the Sanhedrin that Maria Vortto describes, I don't think anybody, you know, unless you had a vast resour resources and were able to study all all of the various documents could kind of bring these figures forward. And it's just one one tiny example that you find in these two volumes, the Vtor Enigma volume one and volume two by uh Jean Franuis La that speak of the the science of Maria Valor's work.

If she is saying that this is what she is seeing that these these 27,000 facts that she has in there, well then they can be verified and then they can be put to the test. You also have um and you have volume one in English, the life of Jesus in history. Um which uh amazing work that was done by Liberata Daro, Fernando Lagreka and Augustine Jimenez Gonzalez that is that um we we used it for our conference this year, the volume one.

Anyway, I just thought I'd share this with you because I do encourage people to read Maria Valora. Anybody that I speak to, I encourage you to read Maria Vorta. Obviously, it goes without saying this doesn't replace the Bible. It's not another Bible or another sacred scripture, but it does take you into the gospel in an incredible way. You you step right in. And so, I encourage people to really read them. And if you have any doubt, read, you can start by reading the Vtor Enigma.

Not not sure if people are aware how this work came about this two volumes but Jean France Lava's wife was reading Maria Valorta in bed and he was there saying well what's this nonsense you're reading and this book you know why are you spending your time reading it and so he read it to debunk it and then wound up finding the the enigma of Maria Valora and published these two volumes which I recommend people read um and there's lots of others.

There there's there's plenty of other work. All of this shelf here is my Maria Vtora shelf of all of her works and works on her works um so that people can read them.
