This is going to be a pure information type of video. If you want to skip around, timestamps are in the description. Feel free to put me on two or three or four times speed if I talk too slow. Let's get straight into it. So, first of all, what is depot drop shipping? Now, if you literally don't know what it is, go click my last video because it's a very simple explanation, but I'm going to explain it here just in case.
So, pretty much drop shipping is you just take an item from AliExpress, post it on Depop, and then you sell it. Obviously, there's a little more to it, but I left a lot of the details on the last video. Some important notes for this, right? I do not automate this. I do not have AI automations. I do not have setups like that. So, bro, if you want a setup like that, I'm sorry. I'm not your guy. I literally just do what I said in the original video to it.
But with that being said, a lot of people wanted to know what a store should look like good for good reference. So, I'm going to show some examples. Feel free to skip ahead to the next section if you don't really care for references. But here we go. So, store one. This is something I've mentioned on the channel before, but this is Freela, right? All sunglasses, all drop shipped. Now, you wouldn't really not Well, you you might notice at first, but it's more branded.
It's more of a brand of drop shipping. They don't really appear as a real person. They even have their own Shopify store. I'm not going to open it, but you can get the gist. They're going as a real brand. They get sales like every day. It looks like they get a lot of reviews, a lot of good ones. They pick good products, put the variance, and that's literally all they need to do. If we click into it, right? Good mockups.
They all look photorealistic. You can make this with AI. I know it looks very photorealistic and it might be real, but you can make pictures like this with AI or alternatively, it's I don't really talk about this, but you can get you can actually like buy the items yourself and take your own mockup pics. It's a little extra work, but you you can do that. But the real key thing about this type of store is the simplicity of it.
I mean, they found their groove. They're just posting the same thing pretty much every day, like the multiple glasses, right? Different kind of styles, but pretty similar. Simple bio. I recommend looking at the store, but do not copy onetoone. You'll probably get banned. But also, if you move in the direction of a store, right? Like how good they are in certain aspects, and you move to a different niche, a different type of product, you will be fresh in that niche.
That's not just for Depot drop shipping, that's for business in general. Also worth mentioning, not all these stores are necessarily drop shipped, but they can be. And that's that's the most important part. It gets to the point where you don't really even know what stores are drop shipping. Here's another one. Western Supply. Now, this one is more a little disorganized, but pictures like this strongly make me believe this is drop shipping because it's just glasses.
You got watches, belts, bracelets. They got a little bit of everything to be honest, but they're still selling. They're still getting products. Now, this isn't the best example, but it is an example of how the mock-ups should individually be good. They look real. I know a lot of people hate on AI, but when it comes to business, if you can make the product actually look photorealistic and not inaccurate, because that's scamming.
If you make something that is alive, bro, people are going to refund and you deserve to not make money off of that. But if they are real pics and they show the image just in a better lighting, that is that is the goal of the mock-ups. The mockups should be good. Next one. Now, this is a little bit different. This is a print ondemand type of store. Now, with this one, you can have more creativity, but something to note, right? the mock-ups themselves, if you notice, the shirts are still AI.
The shirts are still AI, the designs, he might actually make these designs, the these designs, stuff, that is the important part. The more creative you can actually come up with it, and this is just kind of a clothing brand at this point, but the more creative and the better images you use, obviously, the more sales you'll get. But another thing is he's posting all the time. He has so many images. One of the key things with this is if you use something like Printify, you can actually have real good product.
You could print on basic Gildens and sell them pretty crazily because people will buy good designs. At that point, you're just kind of a clothing brand, but still it's worth mentioning because I've seen a lot of people succeed with this specific type of model. The next one, now again, this one is not a brand specifically, but if we look at the mockups, they are very, very consistent and very, very good to the point where I don't even know if this is drop shipped, but the point that I want to make is all of the items that you see here, right? like these glasses for example, these these watches, even maybe the jewelry, they can be from AliExpress.
But when you have someone presenting it like this in a very realistic lighting, you have no idea if they're drop ship. The whole point is to make your mock-ups look very, very good. You want to spend a good amount of time getting a good mockup. You don't want to just put up BS. As you can see, this store is just very, very consistent. A lot of products. A very great example. Again, another store that at first you don't even know if it's drop shipped.
However, the thing I want to note just in shopping in general, like the stores in general, very consistent and good mock-ups. If nothing else, let this be a compliment to this store. But the good mock-ups make it a store. It makes it a brand. If you just throw up a bunch of BS, bro, no one's going to buy because you're going to look like a thrift shop. Nobody wants to do that. Like, this makes it very simple. I like this person's style, so I'm going to look at other items.
That's really all you need to be doing. Consistent, good mock-ups. Now, this one is very simple. Really, it's just rings. And I think I've seen some other things, but again, consistency, good mock-ups. They've got good items, a little bit of different wide array, but ultimately the mock-ups are the most important thing. As you can see, there's not really any branding. This is a random name, random profile pick. The mock-ups are really everything.
And this is the last one. This just goes to show volume. Like, honestly, if nothing else, look at the volume of this. There are so many things. They stay within one niche. They stay pretty consistent. The mock-ups are just amazing to the point where they might even be buying it for real and doing this, but I've seen a lot of items that they're selling be on AliExpress. So, I mean, put two and two together. Like, you know what I mean?
Just a great example of how volume can really help you. So, if you post like 10 things and you're like, why am I not getting sales? There is levels to this. Like, there are people doing this 10, 20, 30 times a day. So many postings that you wouldn't even believe. Now, one thing with those stores I will say is do not copy verbatim. Cuz if you copy verbatim, they're just going to buy from the better store. So instead, what you want to do is copy the good qualities of them and apply it to your store.
Next question, do I need startup capital? The answer is you kind of do. You need a way to put the products on a card or some type of transaction thing. People have asked me before like PayPal or can I do this, can I do that? I personally have a credit card that I charge products to. I am in the US, which I will get into in my next point. But that being said, you cannot really start with zero because you need a way to buy the product.
That is for any drop shipping whatsoever. The problem with other drop shipping when you're trying to run ads and stuff is your capital gets eaten very quickly. With Dep Depot drop shipping, I would say if you're selling cheaper items or really items in general from it, the items are cheap, bro. The item like at most if you lose all your money, right, what you're going to lose like 20 bucks, 30 bucks, you know what I mean?
Like that is what I'm talking about. People have asked me, do I need $40 to start? Do I need $100 to start? Do I need X amount? I mean, just kind of math it out in your head. Like, if you're going to sell a certain amount of products at a high quality, how much money do you think you need to buy those products? As I'll say later on in the video, it will take 10 to 14 days before that money actually hits your account and you can do anything with it.
So, you're not going to sell something and get the money right away and then you can go buy more products. You're going to have to keep charging things until that money comes in. Next, something that's very popularly asked, shipping settings. So, the other shipping setting that you're going to need to do, there's already videos on it on YouTube of what the other shipping setting is, but pretty much if your account was made before 2024 of a certain month on Depot, you are going to be able to ship things with the other setting.
Now, if you don't have that setting, there's a good chance you're either a a brand new or fresh account or b you're from a different country. And in that case, I'm not from a different country. I'm I'm from the US of A. With that said, something that people have done to get around this is change their location settings to the UK or Canada, maybe some other country, but but that's all I really know as far as I'm aware.
The thing with this is though, I have not personally done this. So, I cannot advise you to do that because I don't know what the repercussions of that are. I'm not going to advise you to do something I have not personally done. However, I am saying that is a way I've seen other people kind of bypass it. Although, again, I I haven't done it myself. Can you do it from India, Bangladesh, the UK, uh Switzerland, Sweden? I do not know.
I am not from these countries, so I have no idea. However, from what I've gathered, I've seen certain places restrict AliExpress or restrict. So, in those countries, no. But I can't really go one for one for countries because I'm not from other countries. When you go to update products as shipped on Depot, you want to do it 3 to 4 days after you actually purchase it from AliExpress or whatever supplier you're using to go to the customer.
The reason for this is because shipping times do exist. Now, I know a lot of people say, "Oh, it takes 3, four, 5 weeks from AliExpress." That has not been my experience. Most of the time it comes 8 to 9 days. And I've even had some arrive a little earlier than that, and I'm like, "Bro, what?" Either way, regardless, I wait 3 to 4 days to actually put the product as ship. Now, with that said, that might delay the time that you actually get money received to your account.
So, also keep that in mind. I'm not really sure about the specific details or if it goes off of the actual sale itself. Maybe you need to look that up. But also, the reason I say 3 to 4 days is when you actually manually update it as shipped is because after 5ish days, the customer has the ability to cancel the purchase. People can and probably will cancel if you haven't said anything to them. And so, what you're going to want to do is if people ask you, "Hey, is my item being delivered?" Which most of them will ask cuz it's a fair question, bro.
Like, if if eight or nine days go by, everyone's going to be mad. What I personally do is I be honest with the customer. Hey, I don't have the information to update on Depot, but your item is going to be between, you know, September 10th and September 15th. Whatever it says on AliExpress or whatever supplier you're using, that is what you want to say. You want to update them with the honest truth. That way, they they respect you.
Me personally, I have not really had to deal with any issues regarding this yet. Most of the time, as long as I'm really just honest and open, bro, like they they really don't care. Post edit. This is how you list items. You're going to go to sell now, and then this whole screen pops up. Now, all you need to do is put the mockup photos that you generate with AI or somehow you you make real ones. I suggest putting three to four mockup pictures around there.
Then for the description, I have a whole video on this on the channel. You can just scroll down. It's the blue one with how to make a description for Depot. Watch that. For the info, put what it actually is, the brand. If it's an actual brand, if you're selling real items, put the actual brand. If you're selling, you know, like I said, just uh small or random items that don't have a brand, put other. For condition, it's probably going to be brand new.
The color, make sure the colors are accurate. The source, you you can leave that blank. The age, you can also leave that blank, although I would suggest putting modern if it's an actual like modern item because most things that are brand new are modern. And for style, this one I find, is actually what matters a lot. Try to either ask Chat to be clawed or come up with what's actually accurate to your product. Uh you choose like two or three of these.
Yeah, you choose three, you're maxed out. For the price itself, that is very dependent on what your actual product is. Boost listing. Yes. Boost the every single listing you have. Boost. Boost. Boost. Boost. Boost. And this is what it should look like if you have the US other shipping. So you have shipping. You click the other one. Country. It's from the United States. And then city other. This enables the other option.
And like I said earlier in the video, if you don't have it, it's for a plethora of reasons. Go back to that section. Shipping price. This can also be dependent on the product. I suggest testing it out or looking what other people's ares. Generally, I see a lot of people use $5, although that's not it's not purely accurate to depending on what product you make. So, just take that with a grain of salt. After that, you click post and then you can just keep pressing sell now and making more and more and more.
This is how to ship. This is going to be a mini tutorial within this tutorial already. So, first of all, after you get a purchase, what you want to do is go to the specific product that you are buying on AliExpress or whatever supplier you're using. I'm just using AliExpress for this example, but you go to whatever you're going to buy. You click it. And one thing is on the right, I know it's not really zoomed in. I'm not going to zoom in, but on the right of really any supplier, they show the delivery times.
They show the seller ratings. They show the little details. Look at them. Do not gloss over them and think they don't matter. They do matter because if you have a supplier that says, "It's going to take 14, 15 days." You do not want to use that item, bro. like click one or choose one that is maybe a little more expensive, maybe a little more good quality. I really advise you to use the best quality products you can find, but choose one that even if you take a little less money on, it's going to have a good chance of your customer being happy.
That is the most important thing. So after that, you're going to go to buy now. And then all you need to do is with the shipping address, you just use the customer's address so it gets sent directly to them. For the phone number, it doesn't matter. I just put whatever in there. I learned that from like a YouTube short. Haven't had a problem with that. And then after you confirm and pay now, it gets sent. Now, I personally track every order that I do.
I have a whole Google sheet. I link that down below. It is completely free, not a single dollar, just a Google sheet that you click, copy, and then it opens a new tab. But that's personally how I track everything with with the shipping number or the product number, whatever it is. I track all the data. Also, something to say is obviously people might be like, "Okay, well, after I do it on AliExpress, what I do on Depot?" I'm going to talk about it or maybe I already did talk about it depending on how I edit this video.
Now, anybody that asks, "Oh, what do I do now that I actually bought it from AliExpress and shipped it?" That is when it goes into the actually shipping process and updating it on AliExpress, which all you have to do is manually update it again after 3 to 4 days. You do not want to buy it on AliExpress or whatever your supplier is and then immediately update it. You do not want to do that. Next, I already talked about this a little bit, but withdrawing funds after a sale, you do not get the money the same day that you make a sale.
You do not get the money the same day that you update it as shipped. Like I said, it's 10 to 14 business days, not specific days, business days. So, it actually goes to your balance 10 to 14 days. Really, 10 business days after the sale date. My fault if I said something different. But the whole point is you don't get it immediately. Now, with that also said, that gets it gets released to your actual balance. So, then you can withdraw it.
And that is where it says, oh, like you it might take fiveish business days to actually hit your account. So, that's why I said 10 to 14 because realistically it'll probably be a little longer than 10. Next is the risk of deep drop shipping. Now, everybody pretty much knows at this point, you can get banned off of Depot. The thing with me is I've never actually bought anything from. I really don't care that much about ever using literally ever.
So, me personally, I don't care if my account gets banned. Also, with this, you can lose money. Like I said, you need to be buying the products, right? So, if your account gets banned in that middle stage, you lose the money. It's there's no secret. I'm not going to hide anything. You can lose the money. It is every single business that you ever will do in your life is risky. There is inherent risk. If you are scared of that, if you're scared of losing $30, $40, or if you really go hard and you lose a hundred, if you're scared of that, do not do this business model.
Tips for making your store better. The most important thing with literally anything most of the time, is the mock-ups. The better the mockup is, which doesn't actually mean what you might think it is, which I'm going to talk about, but the better the mock-ups are, the higher chance you have of making a sale. Now, you would think this just means like, oh, really high quality, like really professional. No, this means actual like photorealistic pictures to the point where you would pro if you have the product, just take pictures of it yourself.
And real people in ecom do this all the time with products. Another thing other than the mockup pics is the product itself. Of course, like I said, when you go to AliExpress, when you go to the supplier, read the reviews, read customer reviews. Is there five stars? Is everyone saying, "Oh, it arrived fairly quick. Oh, it arrived even sooner. Oh, is the the product is actually very good quality?" Look at the pictures of the product.
Look at at the reviews. Look at the supplier reviews, the delivery time. Make sure the product is going to be good and you will not get complaints. Another thing is good reviews. Now, obviously, you only get this after people make a sale and can comment, but you do not want a bunch of bad reviews on it. So, stay away from anything that's going to give you bad reviews. This means if people want refunds, bro, give them full refunds.
No questions asked. Just take the L. I've had to do that a couple times, especially in the beginning when I started. It's just kind of the learning tax, brother. Another thing, like I said, be honest with delivery times. If people ask, don't be like, "Oh, it's going to get here tomorrow." When you know it's not. You're going to get a bad review if you do that, and you low-key deserve to. I'm not going to lie. And lastly, do not scam.
I see people say the method is to resell reps or dupes or things like that. Just sell basic products and people will still buy it. You don't need to be making $70 from a purchase. Next, product mockups. Do not use any supplier pics. Do not use any customer review pics. Everyone is looking at the same pictures. Everyone is looking at some of the same products. Do not use the image that you find online. You will get banned.
And that's probably actually that's probably the easiest way to get banned from what I've seen online. Not in my experience, but from what I've seen online people post. If you're using supplier picks, I'm sorry, but it's gone, bro. That method is gone. Instead, use AI. Use chatbt. Use like image generators, whatever you got. I personally use chat. It's very basic. I am an unk. I don't understand API generations, whatever.
I don't care about that. Make them as realistic as possible, which means they should be imperfect. They should look like you whipped out your iPhone, took a picture of it, and posted it on Depot. Like, that is how realistic they should look. That means do not post product mock-ups that are glossy or have that fake look. They need to look like they are real pictures. In the last video, I actually showed a good example of what this could look like.
And take note that it looks real. It's not glossy or looks like overly plastic. It looks like a realistic bag that someone maybe like put down on some grass. What are the best products to sell with Defop Drop Shipping? Now, honestly, this is kind of a joke of a question, but I'm going to answer it anyway. Anything can really sell. It just depends what's around it. Like, are the mockups good? Is the description good? Is the title good?
The captions good? Anything can really sell. The thing I will say is though, smaller things from what I've seen have less of a chance of bad reviews or anything going wrong with it. Why? I don't know. But I've seen multiple people now, people that have DM'd me or people that I've seen online, they use specific clothing, maybe like shirts or tank tops or anything from Depop and then the sizing is wrong or there's mistakes printed or anything like that.
I'm sorry, bro. I can't help you. I do not post things like that. If you do want to sell shirts, if you want to do shirts, I suggest doing Printify and just print on demanding it. So, kind of like I'm mentioning uh bigger items or specific type of clothing, coats or stuff like that. there's more risk because there's just more problems with it most of the time, but you can make more money with it. Do I advise doing that?
No. Because I think the best method is making sure the customer is happy. If you do stuff that's smaller like glasses or rings or belts or jewelry, there is usually less risk. Usually, not always, usually. But most of the time, you're making less money because it's very competitive. There's a lot of stuff. As people say, it's oversaturated. You can still you can still do it. You can still do it. That's what I advise because you make smaller margins. people are usually happier, gets there quicker, lower problems.
You get it? And with any product that you choose to sell, whether it be clothing, whether it be, you know, hats or gloves or sh like whatever you do, make sure you are looking at every single user review that you can find for that specific product. If you go to AliExpress, you're going to see there's multiple listings. Keep clicking and opening every single one until you find the best quality one, the best timed one, the best everything.
You do not want to send something that's just going to instantly break when it arrives. Tips for more sales. Send offers. When you go and you see people are like liking your stuff, right, on popular items, send offers. Send discounts. Send huge discounts. Like if you're selling something for 20, send it for 12 if you still make profit. That's what I'm talking about. Any products that usually like blow up on your site, that is when you really want to send out offers.
Especially when when you put like the 48 hour sale. Send send as many offers as you can. Like little profit is what builds. If you have $33 a day, that's a,000 in a month. If you have a $100 coming in a day, that's 3,000 a month. That's what you have to keep in mind. It's all about building the little purchases. Boost your store. People have asked me, "Do I boost listings? Do I boost whatever?" Boost your entire store.
Boost every single item. Sell things for cheap. It doesn't matter. Like I said, the little wins are what you want to stack up. Personally, I always take the reduction. Even if it's a smaller margin, but I always make sure I'm profiting. That's the thing. Even whether I'm making five bucks from it or 20 or 15, it doesn't matter. To me, a profit is a profit, brother. thing you also have to keep in mind is that the actual process for fulfilling orders is way easier than this whole first setup.
Like the first like week that you set up your store, everything I do for my store at this point is 30 minutes or less. Maybe maybe an hour if I'm actually like posting something, making new listings or responding to a lot of customers. But literally, it takes me 30 minutes to do this. A whole thing that I saw people say was, "Oh my gosh, you only make $50 a day." I don't only make $50 a day. I make $50 doing this and it takes me 30 minutes.
That's the whole point. put items on sale. Similar to boosting, but actual sales, you can put things on sales. Bundle it, too. I didn't put that here, but you can do bundles. I'm not going to explain how to do that because personally, I haven't done it, but I've seen it work for other people, too, and you can get some really good profit margins on that. I would also suggest testing a lot of different price points. Like, try at 30, try at 20, try at 10.
If you end up with higher margins than expected, go for it. Because some people actually want items to be higher, which sounds crazy. It sounds stupid until you actually look at what consumers do. like it's been tested before. Certain products sell more when the price is higher because people don't trust it if it's like $2. Obviously, there's going to be some disagreement with that. But the thing you have to keep in mind is when you are trying to catch fish, you do not ask the fish, "Hey, how do I catch you?" Price saying, "Similar to everything else that I just said, I use pretty low margins.
I make a little money on every purchase, but enough purchases that I'm making decent money at the end of the month." That's all my re That's really all my method is. That's literally all I do. Here are some secret sauce. That sounds kind of cringy to say, so I'm going to also say bonus tips. Stay organized. I have the link in my description for the Google Sheets. It is completely free. It is completely free. Stay organized.
Even if you don't use mine, make your own Google Sheets. Do it however you want to do or an Excel sheet. I just don't really use Excel. It is really essential to me at least to stay organized. Once you start having like 50, 100, 200 orders because like if I need to go and find specific information for one, I have the specific sale number. I have the specific number that comes from like AliExpress or the supplier. So, I literally just look it up in AliExpress and it takes me two seconds.
That is why my process takes 30 minutes because it's so quick. I said this earlier in the video, but refund customers very generously. If there's any problem at all, give them their full money back. Do not just keep money and think you're going to get away with not making sales, brother, that's just scamming. Losing money to me is better than getting bad reviews. And really, that's my advice for any business. Like, I would all no matter the business I'm running, I will always take a loss if it means it making someone actually happy.
And that goes into reviews. Good reviews matter so much. They matter a lot. Even if you think they don't, when you go to a store, subconsciously, the first thing you're actually kind of looking for is proof of people actually buying it. This probably goes for even normal depot stores, but you want your buyers to see you have made successful orders and that they're not just going to get jipped. Reposting winners several times, aka relisting things.
Now, you have the option in Depot, it actually let they let you they let you any store do this. You can relist things. And what I advise is doing it but with slightly different mock-ups until you can find something that's actually a winner. Now, even if you have winners, I would still say experiment where you can like if you have an actual winner, don't go maybe too far and experiment something crazy or maybe do, you know, maybe something 10xes what you just did.
But really, business in my opinion is all about testing. So test the same thing that works. Test something that's similar to what works. That's all you really need to keep doing rinse and repeat, which is similar to what I'm about to say next, which is do not be afraid to test things. Test different products. Test different mockups. Test different titles or descriptions or bios or what your store overall looks like. Test, test, test.
That's really all there is to business or really anything in life. And always keep this in mind with anything that I ever teach on this channel or do. If I've personally figured this out, you can do it, too. I went off of very limited stuff that I had on YouTube because, as we all know, some people post a lot of stuff and then they say, you know, you need to join a group for like 400 a month. Brother, I'm not doing that.
So, a reminder, I figured everything out on my own. You can, too. I'm trying to post as much information as I can. Apologies if I missed something. I try to go through all the comments on my last video. It started getting to a point where I literally couldn't respond. I do not know how I blew up like I did. I I don't think I wrote that here, but brother, I don't know how that video blew up. I literally had 30 subs the other day.
Any specific questions, if I see in large quantities, I will comment. I will reply. I'll do whatever I can. But if it gets crazy like the last one, which I don't expect it will, but if it does, I will literally try to reply as many. Maybe I'll make a posting of answers. I'll do whatever I can to get to your answer. Thank you so much for 1K subs. I know it's a little bit higher than 1K at this point, but I have been wanting to hit 1K since I was a little kid.
On the YouTube channel I ran a couple years ago, I hit like 800ish, but I stopped posting and I wasn't really like that deep into YouTube at that point anyway. But seriously, brothers, ever since I was watching Minecraft YouTubers, like Sky does Minecraft mod reviews, I've always wanted to be a YouTuber, and you guys are making this dream a reality. So, I appreciate you. Thank you. With that said, most of the things that I haven't mentioned in this video can be found either on my other videos where I go into more depth with it or replies.
Go through the replies on the last video. I stopped replying to certain questions that I would see literally over and over and over again after I answered it like 20 times. If you think a question that you have is going to be common, check the replies on the last video. check the replies on any video I have. They might be in there. Also, there's some information on YouTube. Like I said, I figured this out personally with YouTube with the limited stuff that I had available.
With all of that said, thank you so much for watching. I appreciate you as always. I love you and I'm sorry if I miss literally anything. I try to put everything that I know into one video. That's also to say, I'm not sure if the next however many videos are going to be drop shipping. I said this somewhere. I don't know where I said it, but I don't think I'm going to make another 20 plus depot drop shipping videos. the they're going to be business.
They're going to be, you know, trying to make money, trying to help you guys make money. That is my goal with this channel. Kind of everything that is me. Thank you so much for watching. One more time. Again, I appreciate you. I love you. Have a great day. peace out.
