appreciate all of you by the way and the GTA 5 campaign is one of the longest campaigns I ever played as a video gamer which begs me to ask the question like in the time where you were doing your voice your voice lines or doing some actions for the game for the campaign what was the moment or that your character said or did anything that made you say to yourself oh what like it like something your character did or said during the campaign that made you just say to yourself the the whole um Franklin situation I felt like like it was normal it wasn't nothing that I I did out of what I normally do in my real life or I've been through you know like Franklin stole cars I stole cars forgive me mom um uh Franklin been behind the gun and he's been shot um I think I got that ability too cuz I've been shot five times in real life and I responded thank god um I've been through a lot of stuff so cost him five grand each time though yeah man but um they um they pretty much let me be me you know what I'm saying which was a good thing they let Franklin be me so that's what give the realness that you guys love and the Franklin and Michael and Trevor cuz they let us do us you know they didn't have me acting outside of what I truly you know came up as and I came up as a dude from the hood the projects didn't have nothing grew up in poverty and um you know met a few people in life and I made changes in my life so the story kind of fitted good when I met Michael in the game you know also when I met Ned in in the studio it changed my whole acting life and it changed my whole outlook on being an actor cuz I never accepted being an actor he used to get on my ass like [ __ ] that you a actor man stop no I'm not man I don't want to do this [ __ ] yes you do so that's to answer your question it was pretty much you know close to how I grew up yeah and and in the game for me uh there's that scene where uh Michael you know fesses up to Franklin that I've been working with the feds right and uh you know you seen Trevor I haven't tell you Trevor you know if you see you know Trevor you'll know I am an angel that kind of crap uh that was a scene for me where this because when when we started out solo was basically like one of those NPCs you see on the on the street just stuck right damn man loosen up dude you're a rapper find the find the Rhythm man find the [ __ ] let's go and that to me was the scene where solo really became an actor and cuz he connected man and gave gave me stuff to work off of like you wouldn't believe and it was a great scene it was a poignant scene and uh a lot of fun but you know we just had a ton of fun on the set man it's hard to pinpoint one thing you know cuz it was just his three and a half years of motion capture and an hour 104 hours in the voice Booth you know of just fun it was great there was never a bad time let's get another one out here what do we got what do we got Jules what do you have buddy stand up so stick your chest out so look like a badass so we all remember like about 10 years ago people got like stepen Aug to yell like go [ __ ] yourself can we get you guys to do that too like I just stand in the back and record no questions but like what's your favorite game uh [ __ ] man mine right now that I'm playing um I play a lot of Call Of Duty Modern Warfare man I'm a badass on there man the original just Modern Warfare Call of Duty man I I don't play the three and all the other stuff cuz it's so different um but the one that I'm right now I got a crew man and I get called a hacker so much because I'm no joke with it I'm no rated he's actually rated on Call of Duty man he's like you know as soon as I pop up in a room like a whole another uh Lobby the other people see me and they back out like for real they back out they they say they say I'm hacking but I'm not hacking he's a griefer I got years and years of playing it so I I pretty much know the maps real good and I know it's pretty predictable who's going to be around it you know you know so that's my favorite game outside of Grand Theft Auto man Grand Theft Auto is like man GTA 5 is like one of the best games but my favorite favorite game of all time was uh San Andreas you know yeah that was one of my favorite favorite games San Andreas man and of course y'all know my cousin started in San Andreas um he played CJ so it's it's crazy that he was CJ and San Andreas what 20 some years ago and then now Franklin come right behind it and we really related you know what I'm saying so a lot of people try to find out what's the relation between CJ and Franklin I don't know if y'all can figure it out let me know well they are grow Street for Life grow Street for Life man but for for me my favorite game uh of all time is a little number called SSX tricky which is an old uh snowboarding game from PS2 that I played with my son uh when he was little and uh we've just continued played he comes home from college he's a uh a pitcher in in college he'll come home from college he gets he digs that game out and plays that game you know to the point where I got a PS2 for him and a game a copy of it and send it to school with him because I got tired of him beating my top scores man [ __ ] anybody else a million and a half up this guy right here you got over there while playing through the games by yourselves were there any events whether it's like a story beat or an Easter egg that you weren't spoiled while producing the game that just blew you away H uh not a whole lot I'll tell you not a whole lot because we were pretty much there you know for for all the work you know but there I I think there's probably some things uh well like like for example I don't think I was there when when Stephen uh you know Trevor was doing the Maryanne thing is that Maryann the one who rides the bike everything where he goes I love you I love you you're crazy we're perect for each other whatever the hell that was I that surprised me when I saw that online but you know when I was playing the game but I I didn't see a whole lot that I didn't already know about um the one that did surprise me was when the game came out I wasn't on set when you guys shot the uh the North Yankton I never I never even knew that was part of the game when it came out and I saw that first thing come on in the game I was like [ __ ] they not is Franklin's not in here this is about Trevor and Michael I was surprised when I found out that they could actually whack Michael that would kind of pissed me off a little bit but you know well I was I was happy they couldn't whack Franklin so that was good it was no option for he's walking around like this [ __ ] man ain't nobody going to kill me I don't got to die man y'all dieing not me yeah next Who's got one here that's the gum Che her right there yeah yeah so first of all I love you guys like like I said to you both yesterday I've been playing this game since I was in like I was in like fifth grade but what is besides like the well-known quotes that you guys always said like what's like your favorite ones like that are kind of like lesser known if that Mak sense mine is I said it so many damn times and people think it was part of the script but it was really because I couldn't I couldn't remember what my line was so I used to just go what what what if y'all know Franklin said what a whole [ __ ] lot he almost says what as many times as he says [ __ ] but for me uh favorite line that's not so well known is probably uh when I'm in Trevor's trailer well actually a couple of them I'll give you a couple of them the PO score where where we're waiting for Lester to show up on the bus and driers tossing rocks at me pebbles at me knock that off man thought another one at me knock it off I'm gonna break your [ __ ] fingers I like that line a lot uh and then the other one I like is in his trailer when Ron is giving me nervous Ron's giving me a hard time about yeah you were a big uh you know football star I know you I say hey come here you open your mouth again I'm going to tell you all about my past glories pal I like that one too cuz that was kind of a badass line you know whatever so that would be my my favorite ones but there's so many great lines in this in this thing I mean there's pretty much nothing that we said that wasn't awesome other than uh you forget a thousand things every day make sure that's one of them but the one that blew up the biggest has come from um slink Lamar can a Lo come up in your crib [ __ ] you man I see you at work I see you at work y'all know the or lawyer whatever she up on y'all know the rest man so that blew up and it yeah one more one morning I woke up with that and my Instagram was going crazy and my phone was going crazy and I was like what's going on you know I didn't know they was like bro you went viral I was like what the what the hell going on and I look up and the first thing I see is Dar Vader just you got yeah I was like what the hell then Kermit come and then Minnie Mouse and then Mickey Mouse and then I was like what the hell man then the toy sto story dude come and it just never ended man yeah that's the modders man those modders that they're out of their damn Minds those guys man they crazy [ __ ] that was a blessing for for that moment for us what we got over here on the other side of the room hey guys uh I'm ironically named Michael as well so um my question question is when you guys originally auditioned for the game um how much of the script did you have versus how much were you guys recording um when all was said and done uh well in the audition we had the scene that we were auditioning with period end of story when we showed up on the on the set we had the scene that we auditioned with period end of story we didn't get anything in advance man they they we would get our our whatever we were shooting that particular week or day or whatever we would get maybe a day or two ahead of time and because you know Rockstar plays Everything very close to the chest man it's all very hush hush you know and uh so we and sometimes we get stuff same day you know uh gez I remember remember when uh I was doing the Dr Freelander Stuff they uh we we had just done something and we're breaking for lunch and the uh uh PA she comes up and and hands me 17 pages and goes we're going to do this after lunch and I'm like what 17 pages of Dr all that Dr Freelander Stuff because I think the guy playing playing Dr Freelander had this was the only day they could get him so we had to get it done I had to learn 17 pages over lunch in in order oh yeah it was crazy man and I mean I had a little bit of time in between takes while they were setting up whatever the next deal was to look at it real quick and try to get it but that that was that's life with with Rockstar life with doing doing a video game motion capture and all that kind of stuff you don't know what they're going to lay on you it's it's crazy what they're going to put on you because you got to remember that when we first start filming we didn't know it was Grand Theft Auto I didn't know I mean I didn't I don't know if Ned truly knew but I truly didn't I thought we were shooting something called Paradise because for me it was rush they gave us fake names those Bast fake names fake everything and and me and him we never talk to say you know this is a video game called rush or he come to me this is a game called paradise and because we just took it as value as we thought he he thought we were shooting rush and I thought we was shooting Paradise that's how that's how Rockstar is and then so it kind of made me be lazy to trying to learn to be a actor but when I [ __ ] found out it was Grand Theft Auto 5 I was like a damn Washington on the set yeah we we you know it's funny cuz we didn't even know we were doing motion capture yeah I mean we showed up first day on the set and this dude Allan hands me a wet suit basically and I'm like oh what the hell is this and he goes that's that's what we got to do today you got to put this on so we get in these motion capture suits you know which are not flattering uh you know and you've got like you know they put balls all over you so now you got these hard balls all over your body and you know reflect their markers they're called we call them balls but they're they're everywhere man and yeah it's it's it's brutal man that's what you look like and and I noticed you've got one that I notic you've got that blurs the body um yeah and you got back fat hanging out man and [ __ ] and it's like about that with me it was brutal man I was a fat boy and like what the hell is this [ __ ] cuz we didn't neither one of us knew what the hell Moi capture was I me I was on camera I'd never done anything like this I'm on camera actor and this this thing here I I didn't realize that it was going to be like that you know it was actual acting it was like just doing a seen in a movie or whatever you know but they make a skeleton of you and then drop Michael on top of it or solo you know drop Franklin on top of and it it was interesting it was crazy but there was a lot of surprises on that side yeah it was a whole lot of surprises because when we first were looking at it it's like a big projector like a movie theater and all you see is a hangman thing like just sticks yeah little stick man little stick man you like what the hell is that but but he's moving with you yeah you do your finger your hand like like this he's doing it well at first we didn't have the fingers at first it was just like this because but then they they put balls on our hands so we had we had balls on her fingers balls on your hand yeah yeah balls balls on your face balls in your just just Stephen liked to get balls on his chin but it was that like but [Laughter] we which happened to me one which happened to me one time too when Jimmy back me let's go on to the next question life you know transfers into that you know it causes that but yeah I mean I love the Franklin character I like the the art real though yeah cuz this made me and this dude like like big brother little brother friends like he come to my house I go to his house we know each other families and everything this gang created two guys that didn't know each other from nowhere to become friends genuine friends you know what I'm saying we don't get along all the time cuz he [ __ ] get tired of me and I get tired of him but at the end of the day it's a big brother little brother relationship you know what got me into it and I and I fell in love doing it man fell in love doing it so you running people out of here man they say yeah well that's Augie that's Auggie Augie doggy but yeah I mean I was on the same stage as Dick van djk and Jerry Van djk and Jean Hackman Donald O Conor all those guys they went to my Snoop Dogg and Ice Cube and Dr Dre yeah yeah that's different worlds man that's different worlds and you see how how it happens but you end up in the same place you know as actors that you guys all hopefully love so that's cool scary so I was just wondering is there any parts of GTA 5 that you guys recorded that didn't make the game that you could talk about t yeah a lot of stuff lot of May pick tons there's some crazy missions that that that you know if it doesn't make the game it's generally because the the uh gamepl didn't work you know what I mean like we had uh I had a thing where there was an orgy with octogenarians which was really funny oh my God it was so funny and then we had the chuda episode where we where Stephen and I went and we were casing madrazo's house or whoever and and you know the horse we were supposed to steal it we were clowns and we acted like a gay couple and it was it was there was funny funny stuff that didn't make the game but and Steve yeah I no so do I I was so I was so bummed out when we didn't do it turns into Donald Trump man he get ah so you know and um you know like okay yeah yeah yeah so anyway there was that yeah so and solo had stuff too but he I can't remember bro I don't to be honest I don't remember bro it was just a lot of stuff that we film but there was that scene where you and Steve were cuddling don't forget that nah that was him and Steve him and Steve played uh some lovers in the in the game no but you know what Stephen and and uh who was the the the workout guy uh from Brucey they woke up in the same sack anyway next next one right over here oh go ahead go you're there we'll come back around over that was a crazy cast in GTA it really was it was a great cast if y'all really look at it and look at all the characters in there Lester uh J cles which who play Lester man amazing cast man Devin there he helps everything over there he's a big part of it man he's kind of the he's kind of the the the hidden the hidden star of that of of Rockstar I mean he he makes the y' look him up DJ poo man
