Opening (first 30 seconds)
I'm going to show you how to start a business with no product, no audience, no [music] capital, and no original idea by selling something that businesses are literally throwing in the bin. I call it the sawdust method, and once you see it, you simply can't unsee it. So, every single business has an asset that they are not utilizing. Whether that's a business that generates leads, they have a whole bunch of leads that their sales team is no longer following up and that they have classified as dead leads. Or, a content team that has a whole width of content library that they're not utilizing.

They put out one long-form piece of content, and then that's the end of it. It's basically waste that the business [music] would typically throw away. And IKEA was the first business to really weaponize this. In the 1960s, sawmills and businesses would typically get their sawdust when they were processing timber, and they would throw [music] it away.
And then, somebody figured out that if you take that sawdust, you combine it with wood chips, [music] and you put some resin in it, and you compress it under high heat, you'd create something called particle board, which is that cheap chipboard that you see most IKEA furniture is made from. So, it's taking something that a business typically would throw away, and then actually turning that into a profit center for the business.
And it's not just in processing wood, every single business that exists has waste that they are not utilizing. And because they're doing absolutely nothing with this sawdust in their business, it is the easiest yes that you'll ever get. If you come to a business and say, "Hey, you know all those dead leads that your sales team no longer follows up, how about I create a sales funnel that specifically reinvigorates those leads and creates additional revenue for your business?
You're already doing nothing with this, and all I want is a 10% of the revenue that you would have never realized in other words." Or, "You know all those long-form pieces of content that you're putting out on YouTube? How about I take it that and I repurpose and I clip them up, and then I create all these subpages, and I flood the internet with that content, and I generate all this traffic that goes clicks on the link in bio and then ultimately does whatever it is that you want them to do.
And you do not need to pay me. I just want 10% of the revenue that I generate for people that come through these pages. It is a very, very easy yes. Or it might be a business that has a huge following that's not doing anything with that following. And it might be like, "Look, I will personally work your Instagram followers, your Facebook, your TikTok followers. I will get in the DMs. I will then manually go through, DM those people, qualify them, book them on calls." These are people that you're not doing anything with right now.
And again, all I ask for is between 10 to 30% commission. This is sawdust. They've already profited off getting that following, but then they're not actually doing the manual one-to-one outreach that's required in order to squeeze as much [music] revenue out as possible. Or you could simply act as a middleman. Most businesses that are generating leads online, they have a certain qualification, whether that's based on budget or scope of the project.
And you see, the thing is, once they're not qualified, they basically throw those leads and those opportunities in the bin. But what seems like trash to them is gold for others. So what you could say to them is like, "Hey, you must get a lot of interest or a lot of people that want your services, but simply can't afford it because you guys are a premium offering. What do you do with all the leads that don't have the money or don't qualify for your core offer?" They'll typically say, "We throw them away." Then you'll be like, "Amazing.
What I would like to do is I would like to sell those leads to other people that can service them, and I will give you 50% of the revenue that they generate off them. Or we can just sell them at a certain price point per lead." That's one way to approach it. So you're acting as a digital middleman that is taking something that is already sunk cost to that business, and you are then flipping that trash into gold. And the reason that it works for you is that you're able to start a business with no audience, no capital, and no product.
And to the people that you're selling to, there is zero downside. So you don't need to be a master communicator or salesperson in order to get them to say yes. All righty, so here's exactly how to apply and start this thing today. Take 10 people that it is that you follow their content, that you enjoy their content. Simply reach out to those people and say, "Hey, I found your channel on X, Y, and Z. I've done my research.
I know that competitor one, two, and three, they do clipping. They repurpose this content. What I want to do is simply take all of the files that are sitting on your Dropbox or your G Drive. I will do absolutely everything. I will process it, clip it up, and then distribute it on these subpages for you, and I want either a 10% or a retainer model." Or, go on to Facebook or Instagram. Pick 10 businesses, the first 10 businesses that show up as an ad on your feed, and DM them the same approach.
Say, "Hey, I can see that you're generating all these leads into your business. On average, [music] 50 or 60% of leads go to the graveyard where your sales team forget to follow them up. I can help you by turning this sawdust into pure profit for you, and you don't need to pay me until [music] I actually deliver it. And the offer structure that I recommend to get started is a rev share cuz there's zero risk to the business owner.
That means that you're going to get a lot more yeses. As you start to get proof, then what you can do is build a whole bank of case studies and proof that you absolutely unequivocally know what it is that you're talking about. Then you can also move to a hybrid where you get a set [music] retainer per month, and then you also get a percentage of the upside. And the beauty about this is all you need is one yes, [music] and then you're in business by the weekend.
And this is the one skill that you need in order to make $10,000 per month selling sawdust. Then, once you've got enough clients and you've got cash in bank, you can graduate from going out there and actually cold emailing, reaching out one-to-one to these people, and then you take some of that money and you move it into paid ads where you can scale this puppy to $100,000 per month. And I made this video that walks you through step-by-step how to make [ __ ] you money with Meta ads.
[music] Like, subscribe, and I'll see you in the next one.
