Hey guys, it's Waffle and today I wanted to make a quick tips and tricks guide for Chaos Mode in Egg Heist. I am Egg Emperor and I have found many collectibles and finished my collection pedestal. This is based off of my own experience and I play mostly solo in duos. Feel free to use the timestamps to skim over stuff you already know. First going over the comp I used. I used Lara, but any range DPS can fulfill this role, like Iris or Hexen or Stellaris since range has a huge advantage in kiting melee mobs in Egg Heist.
Then Glacy for healing and then Bsauce, Insomnia Wing for regen. Lunar is especially good here because she can hit around corners and walls, allowing you to hit enemies while in cover. If your animal can hustle, there is also a hustle bug you can use. If you jump right after using hustle, you gain momentum. However, if you run out of stamina while in the air with momentum, you can glitch it and maintain the hustle state.
It's good for running long distances. Another tip is to save time by only full looting prismatic and legendary chest and then tap everything else. Since you don't have much time in the raid, you want to use your time efficiently. For purple chests and below, tap the chest to see if any item has a weight of two or more bars. If they do, search them. There are only two prismatic items in the game that have one weight bar.
And by looting two and above, you maximize your efficiency in time. Here's another example of skipping chest until you see a weight bar of two or more. Another tip is to use weapon and armor repair kits. It's better to use it than to sell it. For example, this weapon is 40 out of 100 durability and it costs 14,000 to repair it to 81 durability. By using it in game, it will do the same repair and still leave some durability for the next repair.
There are also seven predetermined maps in Chaos and Nightmare. You can find out which map you're in the moment you load in and then make a small plan of where to loot, like eggs and chest. Now, onto the special enemies. These enemies have bigger aggro range, so try to pull them by themselves. For hexans, they try to slap you at melee range, and when they miss, when you dodge or hustle away, they go on a long cool down and stand still.
If you do get hit, make sure youro isn't on catch mode, so they keep attacking the hexen. You can also recall your too. Mellow can constantly route you back to back. I don't think you can avoid them, so try to fight them by themselves. You'll know they're nearby when it says a nearby is controlling the vines. >> For the balle, try to use high elevation or dodge last second and then they'll stand still. If they do eat you, once you break out, they'll be broken and easy to kill.
However, they can sometimes pick you up multiple times, so be careful. What? We die. What? HP. What? You can also use Sparkies to blow up other enemies. In this clip, it was actually pretty dangerous to do against Stellaris, but you can blow up other enemies, too. For humans, once they attach onto you, they buff other nearby enemies. You can get them off by untwining and then hitting them five times. They have no targeting, so just line up your character to hit them.
For rookies, bait their three hits and then they won't do much after. If you do end up getting hit by one of his slams, you can swap to another Animo to unflatten yourself early. These crying butt squires drain your EP, but if you hit them a couple times, they'll actually disappear. For nimies, they aren't dangerous by themselves, but if you try to run past multiple them and additional mobs, they can slow you down very heavily and eventually stun you.
Some other enemies to keep in mind are Ignitis and Glacy. Ignitis first hit can deal half your HP, so if two of them hit you at once, you can instantly die. You can also lure them over spike traps to deal damage. And for this room, you can jump on the side and then glide to loot the chest in the middle. For some other tips to keep in mind, try to keep your weight low. I wouldn't go above two weight debuffs unless you're close to an exit or in an egg because weight will lower your movement speed and stamina recovery.
Traveling in an egg is actually pretty safe since you can roll on your side pretty fast with no weight limits, have extra damage reduction, and can jump and dash. And finally, there are also mobs that spawn during the raid at around 10, 5, and 2 minutes. I would try and path towards an exit before 5 minutes because the enemies at the end are pretty dangerous. And that's it. Good luck out there.
