All right, Monday morning back in the saddle. I had intentions of sitting down at 7:00 a.m. this morning. But when my alarm went off bright and early, I was like, I don't know. So, I rolled over and I thought, you know what? Let me just check the scans. Let me just see how things are looking. So, this is something I do pretty much every day anyways. Before I come over to my office, I check on my phone the scans. So, we of course at Warrior Trading we're running the scans right inside the platform.
So, you can load it if you want from your phone and then I can check the top gap scan. So, that's what I did. So, I checked the top gap scan right there on my phone. It's just in a browser window like Safari or whatever. So, I check it and I'm like, okay. And what I saw initially was HARP. H A R P up 110%. And I was like, ooh, okay. It's $22 stock. All right. So, then, you know, I flip over inside the same platform and I pull up the chart.
So, I pull up I I type in HARP, I press enter, and I'm looking at the chart and I'm like, wait a second. You know, that that looks like it's probably a buyout, right? You could see the chart is just going sideways. So, I'll I'll pull up the chart here, too. But So, I saw that and then I I just confirmed it. I I was like, well, let me just make sure. So, I I pull up the news on it. Again, you know, right on my phone and I'm like, oh, yep.
Okay, it's an acquisition by Merck. So, I've got the news headline right there. So, I'm like So, basically on my phone I'm I'm starting to sort of build out a watchlist or a case for should I get out of bed? And so, top gaps So, HARP was the leader and then there are a couple others. AMAM, that's also a buyout. SPEC, I pulled the chart up on that. The problem with that one, we can we can flip over to look at the charts here.
I'll pop my video back up for you. Let's see. There it is. So, So, yeah. So, HARP, this was a buyout. So, that's trading more or less sideways. AMAM's also buyout. That's trading sideways. EFSH is a reverse split. But that's the only news is that it's a reverse split. So, you know, and I can't really see the daily chart on this at all. One of the problems here with my you know, because I'm still doing the small account challenge of course.
So, I the bottom part of this screen is basically cut off. So, I can't see the daily chart on this at all. I can guess cuz I can't see it that it's low, but that's all. I also can't read this very well. By the way, today's trades So, I traded my main account today and that's this this recap is in my main account. And the only stock I traded was ACON and I did well on it, but I didn't start trading it until it was breaking back over VWAP.
My first trades on it were in the small account. So, I started the day focusing small account, seeing if I could just hit kind of my daily goal in the small account and then put that to the side and switch to the main account. If there are times when I'll try to trade in both accounts at the same time, that is difficult. I have to have a whole lot of conviction in the setup to basically buy here and then buy over here and kind of be holding both.
So, I don't always do that. It It's sort of It's case by case, I guess. But anyways, so So, unfortunately, the daily chart I can't see very well, but I can you know, I can kind of move it around and then I can see it better. So, I knew it was a reverse split. It has a history this stock of doing these splits way below the 200, but without a stronger catalyst, I didn't think that there was anything really to trade there.
So, And this right now is a top gainers scanner. I'm going to switch to top gappers and this is a picture in time of what the market looked like at 9:30. So, EFSH, you could see it had basically no volume. ACON, I'll show you that one in a second. HARP, yeah, but it's a buyout. AMAM, yeah, but it's a buyout. SPEC. So, the thing with SPEC and I'm going to link this um with my other windows here. So, I can click on it and it'll update.
It'll update the news right here. So, the thing with SPEC is that it had this pop at like 6:30 and came pretty much all the way back down. So, almost felt like a round trip, you know, it really didn't hold up very well. Under VWAP fade. Breaks over VWAP, breaks below it. So, this just wasn't interesting to me. And the level two on is very thickly traded. It now has 30 million shares of volume and it's just it's not an easy one to trade.
So, SPEC is off the list. Didn't like that one. And so, ultimately, it came down to well, ACON is the most obvious. So, let's break this one down. Um when it first hit my scans, it was it was at like $3. It was way down here. It's at like $3.30. Hit my scans early, but I was like, well, I traded this one last week. And I think it was this day right here on Thursday. And I lost on it. I'm almost positive I lost on it.
My memory my recollection when I pulled it up was like, not this stock again. So, yeah, I don't I don't really I don't remember my trades on it, but that was my recollection. I was like, not this one again. And I didn't see the news yet, but I saw it was spiking up and it was right at 8:00 a.m. So, I kind of thought it probably has news, but you know, we had just seen this reversal on SPEC where it popped up and dropped down.
I'd seen that on another one and I was like, uh I don't know if I want to jump in it. Now, the problem with this stock for those of you that are also following my small account challenge is that because it was below $5, I had no leverage on it. So, I wasn't able to take, you know, 1,000 or 2,000 shares. I was only able to buy like 300 shares. And so, I I was nervous because I didn't want to get in right here and then have it flush.
So, my first trades on it there was a pullback here, a pullback here, a pullback here. And I I did let's see. One, two, three. One, two, three, four. I think I took four trades on it. Anyways, I'm not going to break all those down here cuz I'll cover that in my small account recap. But but I did trade it on this move up and I'm green on it, which is fine. But But But it was hard to make a lot of money because I couldn't take big share size.
So, that held me back quite a bit. Anyways, it sells off, breaks below VWAP. It really sold off pretty hard here from six all the way down to five. And then it's kind of going sideways. At this point, I thought if it comes back up to VWAP, it's probably going to reject. Probably going to fade off VWAP. But it busted through right here. It pops up to 79, it pulls back and then it comes up and I'm like, I'm going to take trade on this.
So, I traded this in my main account right there. That was my first trade, 1,000 bucks. Okay. So, $1,000 right in there. Good. That breaks the ice. Then we had this pullback to a pop up here. And on this one, I traded it again and I made another $400. I got myself up to around 1,800 bucks on the day. And then I took this trade and it got me rejected and I was up now 1,300 on the day. So, you know, I didn't love this rejection, but when it came back up, I was like, now I'll trade it again.
It rejected again. And then it's still hanging out and holding VWAP, but I didn't feel confident enough to buy it here cuz I thought at any moment it could just drop. Anyways, once it starts curling away, I got back in at about 6:50. It goes up to 6:69. Wasn't a great trade, right? Kind of goes up a little bit, but didn't really pull away. Drops back down. And then I got back in. Let's see. Where was it? My last trade on this was Yeah, it was I got in at six um 6:58 and that was around nine.
Okay, so it was right This was my last trade. So, I got in again right here about 6:50. I took profit on this move up to seven. And that was with 6,000 shares and that put me up now 2,700 on the day. So, that was like a $1,300 winner or $1,500 winner. Again, just small stuff. Um It came back up basically to the double top, which I thought maybe would break, but it wasn't able to. Some of the things on the daily chart I was paying attention to even though it's impossible to see the daily chart I monitor, I move it around.
I was aware of resistance at 7:40, the high of this red candle under the 200 moving average, which is at 8:28. So, some resistance there, you know, on the upside. Um And then from the the news catalyst by itself, it was kind of funny because the catalyst was that they executed a strategic partnership agreement. But this was following the previously signed non-bent non-binding letter of intent. So, they signed the agreement that had already been announced.
It's not really I mean, I don't want to be over-analyzing the news cuz ultimately, the chart patterns is what's number one. But as it was coming up here, I was like, I don't know if this news is super strong. Plus, we have this resistance. I think maybe I better just steer clear of it in terms of over-trading it. So, I traded basically up until Well, I took one more trade, which was 1,000 shares buying a dip at six. It didn't bounce.
I stopped out for a $100 loss. Not a big deal. I thought maybe it would spring off of VWAP and come back up, but it drops down and it just kept going lower. So, you know, there were trades on this uh for sure to be had, but it was a little tricky, a little choppy, and not a huge winner. But, you know, at the end of the day, it's green. I am green. Traded this uh only had maybe two losses. I had the $100 loss here, and then I had the $400 loss or whatever it was on that um rejection at like 6:15.
It dropped back down to six. So, two losses on it, but uh maybe four three or four winners. So, kind of nice steady steady gains today, nothing huge. And in terms of my rating for today, um this was like the only stock that was really strong, I felt. Um you know, we we have seen a couple others since the open that have moved a little bit, but uh you know, we had one strong stock. That's better than we had on Friday. On Friday, it was just chop.
So, Friday I gave a score of a two. And some people thought I was being generous. I would say today is more in the range of a three to a four. Um we did have a 100% move, and that was solid. It was a nice move. I didn't make as much on it, partly cuz I was focusing on the small account, and then I took on trades in the big account. If I'd been trading in the big account the whole time, I'd probably be up close to five grand.
I I would think so. So, I think today could have been, you know, I I think today, because we had one good setup, I felt like it was, you know, once I saw it moving and it was obvious obvious stock, leading gapper, clean, I was like, today feels like, you know, maybe a four, even a five. Let's see what happens. So, not bad, not phenomenal, but not bad. The only thing that would have been nice is if, obviously, this had a better daily chart, uh with a bit more potential, if the news quality was a little stronger.
So, you know, could have been better. The the bulk of the move was in one candle, pretty much, two candles, and then dropped down, rallied back up. So, I don't know. You know, I I'd say today's like a three or four. That's kind of where it is now. And for me, I wanted to be consistent and just lock up the profit and not overstay my welcome. I feel like some of my losses last week came from just over overtrading. You know, take getting some profit on the leading gainer gapper, and then just chasing and trading some lower quality setups as the day went on.
So, like this NX NKX, you know, it's a grinder. It it is grinding higher. It's up to $2 a share. Uh but, the thing with this one is it's easy to borrow, it's got a higher float, it's a bit more of a grinder, and you know, it's moving on slightly lighter volume, and I just don't want to I just don't want to overstay my welcome. So, you know, a little flush there, kind of grinding higher. I think I just have to be very disciplined about taking the profit off the table and living to trade another day.
So, that's where I'm at here to start the week. It's a good start to the week, really. That's great. So, shutting it down, closing um I'm going to close my trading platform. I'm not going to come back until tomorrow. I'm not even going to look at stocks for the rest of the day. I don't care what they do. It doesn't matter. I'm done. So, shutting it down, walking away, and we're back at it first thing tomorrow morning.
All right, reminder as always, trading is risky. My results aren't typical, and there's no guarantee you'll find success whether you trade with me or you learn on your own. So, manage your risk, trade cautiously, and I'll see you back here first thing tomorrow morning.
