What Security Saw: Missing Chips in Poker Controversy transcript

Hey guys, this is Tran. Um, I understand this isn't my usual programming and this is a video in response to the recent drama regarding two female poker players I know. So, I want to start off by saying that quite frankly I think this is rather embarrassing for everybody involved. I initially wanted my statement to be anonymous, but seeing a lot of discussion about this, I felt the need to clear up some facts about things I personally witnessed.

I don't know if CA misreported or not. I barely know her, but I personally spoke with the floor at the Venetian about the security footage and can confirm what Britney said about that aspect. I wasn't close to most of the events of the parties involved this summer and played only seven sessions of cash with this group over six weeks and I was playing mostly tournaments. But it's also no secret that Britney is my friend.

She's been kind to me over the past few years and have gotten me into good spots and taken pieces of me. So, of course, I will be somewhat biased, but I just wanted to correct the record. Although we have very different personalities, I respect her a lot due to reasons that will not be obvious to anyone who knows only her public persona. I've never gotten into disagreements of money with her. And she is generous and hilarious.

And if you want to know what she stands for, she'll tell you she doesn't like two types of people. Women who depend on old men for money and liars. As for my assessment of CIA, I heard about her and saw clips of her play before we met because I enjoy seeing more women succeed in poker and it piqued my interest in my feed, but our interactions were really limited. Um, I did however resonate with her stoic persona and we have a similar kind of dog, so I felt connected with her when we first met.

I also had zero idea of any of the gossip regarding their personal lives at the time and didn't know anything about what was going on behind the scenes. On the evening of the 21st and into the early morning of the 22nd, I played in a cash game with Britney. Shortly after the game started, Britney asked me to go ask the floor to check the tapes because her English was too poor. She didn't give me any details, just said, "Don't worry about it.

Go ask the floor." Because she had chips missing and wanted to see if they could see anything on the tapes. She specifically asked to check the girl stack at the end of the game. Again, I had no idea what the suspicion even was at this point or who any of the parties involved were. The floor said they'd get back to us, so we went back to our game for a while and we just played as normal. After a while, Flora came to find us and took us from our game to tell us what surveillance saw.

He told us that it looked like there was around 260k in her stack when the game ended. He also wrote down on a sticky note that I took a photo of. It's not a great picture because it's covering up some of the details of the sticky note, but I remember they weren't actually relevant to what we were looking for. It was just notes to himself about what to ask security for. And I will of course post that. >> And that >> and it has the time and the location and everything on it straight from my phone.

I was really relieved to have found that. And I remember specifically thinking, "Wow, how could there be 150K to 160K discrepancy?" But at the time I didn't really know what that number meant ex other than it was a really precise number and I originally thought he told me that it was a deposit amount. Afterwards a supervisor came and the floor both spent about 30 minutes advising us the consequences if we did decide to inquire further about the footage because we did indeed ask to see it.

Since there were chips being passed around, they said, everyone could get into trouble and potentially banned. Britney thought for a bit at that point and decided not to ask any more questions. We agreed to be more careful to not pass chips around in the future and went back to the game. We have other witnesses to this incident, everyone who was at the game whom a lot have spoken up already. And because we had this conversation at like 3:00 a.m. at the podium outside the private game room, there were other witnesses in the outside game as well.

There was only one game running in that immediate area, but I recognized someone and actually they were waiting the whole time uh to say hi to me and I was occupied for about half an hour talking to the floor. Before going back to the table, Britney told me not to tell anyone. And only until I asked again later on what this whole thing was about. She mentioned that Jeff had told her that there might have been a misreporting incident about the day in question.

I asked her why she doesn't just confront CIA, and each time she just said, "Because we don't have hard evidence." And if it came to light, she would never be able to tell action and play high stakes again. To be clear, I don't know if CIA did or didn't. I can only say what the floor said to me personally. I also trust Jeff's assessment of her stack. I've played with Jeff a lot in this past year, and he's definitely one of the most stand-up professionals and humans I know, and I would trust his opinion over my own regarding many matters at the poker table.

I believe he was friends with CIA then and still might be friends with CIA. I was really hoping I could say my piece and that would cast enough doubt on the matter to show it's a pretty complicated situation. I was worried that my testimony might negatively affect someone if they were actually innocent. I was worried I was going to get the staff in trouble. And now I'm worried about not standing up to this hate against Britney enough when she under most cases would have happily paid off the stake.

When Charlie reached out, I told him about my limited involvement, but gave him the time and date. We spoke to the floor and stressed that the floor told us not to press further for fear that everyone involved might get in trouble and be reprimmended. I also gave him my objective opinion on the matter, which was partially that I'm not qualified to make a decision regarding the 18K, nor on whether or not she misreported.

I didn't see the tapes myself, and I'm only listening to what the floor heard from security and what Jeff said. I'm not even considering Britney's opinion on the matter. Charlie insisted I was just being a good friend and kept pressing with bad questions and assumptions. And it was clear he had already sided with CIA and treated CIA as the victim from very early on. And he just had no capacity to believe that she would have any motivation to misreport.

When he asked me again after they got those recorded responses from whomever they spoke to, I told him again I stood by what I said and then stopped responding. Partially because I didn't have the floor's name when he asked. I I feel bad because I really should know his name. I would I could definitely immediately pick him out, but also I'm not sure I would have given it to him even if I did. I really don't want anyone to get into trouble.

The thing is in our messages he even agrees there's gray area regarding the 18k which I thought was what this was supposed to be all about but now says that the whole incident with security that couldn't have happened is the main reason that Britney is lying about everything and is wrong. So, does that mean if this inquiry did happen, then Charlie and CIA wouldn't have a case and they would leave this whole thing alone?

As to why security would tell CIA they can't check the tapes, that's what they originally told me as well, and we had to phrase the request very carefully. I would also say that my common sense might suggest that a casino as established as Venetian would probably not delete their tapes after just 2 weeks. So that's my official stance and I probably will not be answering more questions about this.
