GTNH - Start of Automation [#6] transcript

auto crafting win today. Hey everyone. Huh? Oh, no. I'm just talking quietly right now. No me chilling. Yep. Okay, I should be good to go now. How are you today? I'm doing well. How about you? How you guys doing? Polaris game. Oh at the top right in I was on just earlier to mine a little bit more. I'm still mining. Oh, there's a dark line. How does that even work? Like the Does it have seasons? Every five to six months?

Oh, it's actually a lot less often than I expected. That's basic like seasons. Here we are. The base is growing and I'm going to need to grow it more, but it's getting there. So, yeah, I need to first catch up on progressions since number five. Quite a few things have changed. Number five, we only had the platform, which was in the middle. Now, we are actually growing a proper base. Let's go back to the old base first.

Here we are. Uh you may see it's a little little more bare than before. We used to have EBFs here. Uh LCR clean room here, vacuum freezer here. All the HP machines, they are all gone. They have been moved to the private dimension. And yeah, I'm still I'm still planning some things out like the oil things are fully stay. They likely will stay for a while. Although, we do need to set up more DT for oil today. I'm actually not sure if I want to set that up if I want to move the whole setup to the private dimension, but uh we'll figure it out.

I think I do want to move it. So, we may have to do that today. Um, but yeah, really the only thing that's left here is like the small diesel setup. Obviously, all the magic is still here. We're going to have to move it probably within the next day or two cuz I do want to start these which means I want to move at least like the very simple botania witchery stuff so we can get that set up in some area and then set up a B area also.

The M farm is still here. Uh I think it's actually stuck. Yeah, it's stuck. We had to do some jank. But uh we got the magma cube spawner, right? I believe that was already a thing on five. I actually don't remember. If not, we we got the magma cube spawner using power spawner. So, yeah, that's been giving us a ton of stuff, but it's stuck because I I tossed spawners in here to to do something really jank. Now, now there's armor that has durability on them from those mobs.

And yeah, they get stuck right here. Not good. So, yeah, let's filter those out and that should fix it. Seems like these are somehow fine. Well, that's surprising. Um, yeah, hopefully hopefully it's good now. Oh, it had more chain armor there. There's probably more durability items there. Yeah, torches don't stop magma. I just want to stop the skeleton zombie. So yeah, that's actually intended how I did that. Oh yeah, there's also something new.

I got dark pick. We actually had this for a while. Uh but I only made it recently and it's very simple, right? But you can add upgrades to it. Yo, thank you, RB. It's coming. Thank you so much for the $5. Thank you so much. How do you filter using hungry chest? It's not hungry chest. It's a It's a greedy chest and there's like a special filter item for it. But yeah, dark pickax is nice cuz it acts as a travel anchor uh travel sorry stuff of the traveling.

Uh you do have to add I think it's ender crystal to it which I did. I did also add a diamond diamond pickaxe. So it acts as both pickaxe and a shovel. So basically it's a poor man's vadra but you can also teleport with it which is nice and when you have travel anchor right you can also teleport to it. So it's just very nice to have. It's it's one of my items I'm going to keep for extremely long time likely until I get this item.

So yeah, this is staying on my inventory till then. So yeah, expect to see this guy for long. I may upgrade to end steel pickaxe later on, but that's barely an upgrade. But yeah, let's go to the new base. So here we are now in the private dimension. Um, and yeah, we we had this farm set up pretty much the first thing I did when I got here. And I set it up in a really bad spot because yeah, you you might be already a you might be able to tell why it's in a bad spot.

It's Yeah, I should have put it like all the way over there. That was my bad. Um, but yeah, this is a very simple ender.io farm. All I have is seeds in here. I used I did plant a little bit of sweet. They grow so slowly for some reason. Like the seeds have been maxed out for so long, but not not the sweets. Um, and they're they're being boosted by sprinklers cuz they're pretty free. I'm not using world accelerator for them.

It's just very nice for farming. And then all I have here is some Enderologic just to make sure we're mixing wheat, compressing wheat into plant ball, making hemprete. We also have a very simple cobble cobble gen here to make us gravel and sand for the hemprete that's getting mixed here with water. And we're just making out a ton of hemprete here. And yeah, we've already built up 37,000 and we probably placed like 2,000.

So almost 40,000 hemprete since then. I am also taking the extra time to set up one more machine here to set up seed oil cuz we are going to want this for be stuff. So, that's already good to go. Um, but let's get to the main part of the base. So, first we needed to get power here. And the way we're doing the the way we're getting power here from the old base is using magic mirror. And here it is. Basically, it is a magic mirror that's dropping diesel into a hopper, filling it here.

And then the empty cell goes to the bottom and gets sent to here. Right. And in the overworld, we have the exact same setup, right here. Right. We have the underground area ascending diesel here. And exactly same setup except this time it's filling empty cell and then dropping the filled cell instead. So it's a very simple setup. It's a poor man's ender tank cuz in this pack ender tank is a is a little little complicated.

It's yeah it's something else. So you're not going to really see it for a while. Uh so that's kind of why we had to do that. And magic mirror is not cheap either but it's a lot cheaper than that. and available to us right now. That's how we're powering our base. Uh, and yeah, I I I am just pumping diesel throughout. That's how we powered it previously. Here, I'm still powering the clean room with diesel. Eventually, it'll get swapped out.

Yeah, there's that. Uh, okay. Okay. And then the second thing we did when we got here was actually set up the or proc cuz I knew I was going to need a proper or proc. And it's a mess. I think you can probably tell it's a mess. Like you look at this and tell me which chest does what. But it's I don't know if it's a good design. It's probably over complicated. But basically I I have these three barrels to filter out which ore goes to where and it's like oh bottom is m rate middle is or washing top is centrifuge and then we have these steam machines for them right I did have to set up a tank here too and yeah I am using this ender IO filter to do that cuz if you make this thing you can shift right click on the barrel and just overwrite basic basically all the item that's in here into this filter.

So, it's a very nice setup. And if I add more ores to it, it doesn't auto update. You have to retake it out. So, you have to like I'll toggle it on, redo it, and then put it back in. It is a little annoying, but it works. It's been working. And I am getting stuff from it, but really, that's all that matters, right? Um, but yeah, it it's been working. And we do need to process this today. So, I'm going to actually take it out now.

Let's carry that on me for now. But yeah, it it has been working very well. I have also set up a very simple air compressing setup here where I take empty cell, compress it into air, and then centrifuge that into oxygen and nitrogen. And that's been giving us very easy passive nitrogen, oxygen for a little bit of steam. So really good setup. I should have done this setup very long ago. I've just been more or less lazy.

Uh and then that's the or proc line done. That's pretty much it. Very simple. These two are just centrifuging. And yeah, so after that is pretty much when we moved everything else. There had to be one more thing that had to be done though. I needed more power. Surprisingly, I was burning through diesel enough that near the end before I finished this new power setup, I was actually dropping on diesel levels cuz like even here is using a decent amount right now.

And then back in base, we're still using some power for a few things, right? So, I did figure out a new power source and I did say I was going to use this. We have gotten ourselves a vac and it has been working very well. The fuel rods are 91%. and it doesn't run constantly because um we're storing so much power that I only have to turn it on and off sometimes. And I'll get to the setup in a bit. But yeah, to to get this so early, it's quite hard.

Usually you wait till EV or IV to do this cuz uh to get uranium, you need to do some real jank, especially like 235. So you need uranium 238 and a tiny bit of 235. But when you make 40 quad fuel rods, the cost gets pretty bad. And that you need like oh 1,000 238s and a good amount of 235. And the way we're doing that is using this special mob called stab alloy golem. And it's kind of hard to show, but this pirate spawner has it.

We turn it off for a bit. On and off on for a bit. You'll be able to see them spawn. Takes a while. Yeah, there you go. Here they are. And they're an interesting thing. They're from GT++. And yeah, they actually don't get pushed by water, which is why I have this setup. But they're actually meant to be unlocked quite a bit from now using I don't know if it's called portal. It might be called frame. Uh token coin. One second.

It might be this. No. Anyways, it's it's supposed to be a luck later like late IV or even LUV. But we did uh use something special for this and it's using power of witchery. We use witchery to change our biome into the biome that actually usually spawns this which is meant to be in a different dimension. And it's kind of hard to show everything, but basically where is it? Oh yeah, basically we have to do a bit of witchery.

And you use hook of biomes paper to craft into whatever biome you want. And then you make a potion with it. And you throw the potion that changes the biome in that area. And surprisingly, it was very easy to do. It only took like probably a hourish of witchery to do. It didn't take too long. Um, as long as you have the magic stuff, it's it's not hard. I also use world accelerator, right? So, like if I needed to turn these guys faster, it's very easy to.

We did also have to set up a witchery alter, which we have here. A very simple setup, giving us 11,000 power. So, that's good. Yeah, we didn't even plant anything new. We just let it work and it's just good enough, right? So, that's really, really good. Um, yeah, there's that done. Yeah, that gives titanium, but I'm not cooking that right now. I also need to go cook this We we still have stuff here in the old base. So yeah, which are very nice.

Oh, right. I need I should probably set home here at some point. I do still need to do a few things here and there, but you know, we'll get that figured out. In fact, before I do anything, I'm going to craft me a stack of nano processors. And you'll see everything is pretty much available. I only set up the pattern for the circuit itself. So don't worry, you're not missing much. I just had to batch a bunch of the stuff here.

So yeah, at least get that going, right? Uh we're doing uranium at the moment because Mox needs a lot of plutonium 239 before looping. And we do have like some two 239s but not enough to start the loop cuz let's see quad mocks. I do I am planning to do mocks cuz that almost triples fuel right not uh fuel power. We can quickly look at it. 40 mocks. Yeah, you need 480. 480 of this to start it. I know it recycles it, but how am I going to get 480 of this right now?

That's that's not the problem. We need to run it for a long time. And I I am planning to set up like a IV centrifuge soon. So, don't worry about that. Hopefully, we can do that today with E. Yeah, I know. But I haven't started any V. That's going to be tomorrowish. Okay. So, where are we at now? Yeah, we got the stab alley golem and we had to set up a tiny bit of me raating centrifuging and stuff here. Very simple, right?

So, I should probably say do this there. Um, yeah, it the golems legit drop step alloy, which is meant to be made later in the game, right? Um, actually, can I show it? Yeah, HV and TPV coil, which we don't even have. It's also a mix of uranium and titanium, which is usually kind of annoying to get, right? But we can materate it, centrifuge it, which actually gives back the exact same, and give us infinite uranium 238 and titanium dust.

The dust itself isn't the greatest to cook, and I've talked about why. Because uh if you cook it using nitrogen, you use 3.4 mil power compared to just using titanium chloride, which only uses tenth of the power, almost tenth of the power. So it it's free titanium at the cost of power. Uh when we get more vacu we'll start cooking these, but at the moment I'm just storing them. And yeah, it gives us ton of uranium. And then uranium 238.

We centrifuge again. We get ourselves 10% chance at 235, 5% chance of plutonium 239. So, it's not the greatest. It also takes a long time, but we only needed not too much of 235. We did have to do a little bit of magic to craft the remaining bit of uranium. It's not the greatest recipe, but it exists. So, we had to do that. But yeah, with that we have ourselves pretty much maintained form of uranium fuel. And we will speed this up with multiblock which I already have here.

I do need to hook up the new power to it. I haven't done that yet. I guess we can do that right now. Here transformer. I'm going grab myself some black steel cable. And I do need more of that. I'm going to probably just make more. Yeah. PE rubber 24. So, I'll just let that run. Yeah. At the moment, I've not set up any big autocraft here. I only hooked up the interface, but you'll see like there's still bare bones. So, okay.

Let's just get power there. I'm probably just going to get it from here. Yeah, this is the guy. And I can just void these. I don't really mind. The fuels are minor. I have also made myself a hen snip. So that is very good. And the airs are both using shadow metal which we got from our botania. Sorry, not botania longcraft. Where's our power? What's the input coming in here? And yeah, this is a really bare bones level of power spine, but we do want to transform power already.

It's going to be kind of good for us. We can just do this HP. And I guess I could use black steel on both, but electrum is much cheaper than black steel. There you go. So, centrifuge, we can just run it permanently now. And yeah, it's it's showing blank because it didn't hit any of the five or 10%. Yeah, that that should use more of our power. And we still have two or three days worth of stream before these run out. So, that's good.

I already burned only about 10% since last stream. Yeah, it's it's surprisingly not bad. Yeah, thumbcraft is much cheaper. I do want to set up a very good uh node hopefully right after bees. So, we'll see. I don't know if I'm going to go for the super god care yet. Yeah. Okay. So, that's that done. And we did set up a very easy titanium setup here, too. And how I'm doing that is, yeah, because we had a lot of ilmanite from the moon, right?

It's the first main ore you want to get. Elmanite, you just take put it in a EV EV chemical bath. So this is similar to ruby juice where you take an ore, you process that into process that into other outputs. And thankfully this green vitrial water solution immediately electrolyes back into sulfuric acid. So you just do ambeth electrolyze and just loop it back and forth. Very simple setup. It seems like this is actually not fast enough, but that's fine.

Um and yeah, it just loops itself. Gives us infinite these junk. Yeah, these are pretty much junk, but gives us rootile, which is the good part as it turns into titanium tetrachloride and then cooks into titanium and then everything else basically recycles. So, the only thing we input is root tile. Everything else recycles and yeah, we have that going right right now. We haven't automatically sent this to the vacuum freezer, which I guess we can do that now that I think about it.

I I don't know why I haven't. So, let's go to that. It's It's red and priority cuz vacuum freezer reset up legit right here. And yeah, we still have a ton of item conduits to use, so I don't mind being wasteful. Uh, we do have to be a little jank here cuz I don't have I guess I can make extra eio filter. Yeah, if we're going to automate everything anyways, we should start using resources. Yeah, that should hopefully work.

We can test it. Supposedly output comes here. Goes out. Is it going into here? And no, it is not going into there. Oh no, that might have been the old stuff. No, it definitely went in there. Okay, so we're good. And yeah, right now I don't have any anything catching the items. I only moved these not too long ago, so that's kind of why I still have this very jank setup. But today, we should hopefully fix that. Okay, let's see.

Now we're coming to the the actual vacuke park. Okay, we moved everything else here. LCR0 here, multis smelter here, DT here, and this is only for water. So, yeah, it's a very small DT. Um, and the back itself is in a separate stream. So, I'm not going to go over too much about it, but what it is is IC2 reactor. you have bunch of fuel and they get heated, coolant gets destroyed really fast, but before the coolant gets destroyed, they get sent into here, a vacuum freezer, thus the name vacuke.

Um, and the hot coolant goes in here, gets cooled down, gets pushed out again, and then that coolant immediately gets swapped out. And it's kind of hard to tell. We'll see when it runs. Yeah. So, it gets swapped out, keeps running again, and then goes on. All the awful noise. I do have a lamp there showing when the nuke is on. Again, we don't have it running constantly because we don't need that much power. I'm just using this cover to say, "Hey, only turn on when it's below 150 mil." Eventually, we'll need a latch so it doesn't do on and off on and off constantly when it hits that level.

But at the moment, it's just it's fine to just do this cuz it's not like this is more efficient when it's always running, right? So, yeah, there's our setup. And now we come to the middle part where it's it's very messy and it's it's everything's temporary. Nothing's going to stay here. all the machines especially because when you hit IV, you unlock multi block for absolutely everything. So yeah, they they are there's no reason for them to kind of be in a nice looking place because they're getting swapped out in like a few tiers.

Not even a few tiers, like technically next tier. Yeah. Do I still have this in here? Yeah, I do. So, let me just batch more of this. I've been making some new tier up circuit boards and more nano CPUs. That's going to be kind of important for us today is that that unlocks the new new line of circuits, which I've already made one, right? The one stack of nano circuits, which did they finish? They did. So, yeah, that should be a quest.

Okay, maybe not. It's because we didn't make the stupid EV sensor. Oh, and by the way, I did finish the radon loop, too. Radon is very easy when you have a source of 239 plutonium, and it just infinitely loops. You only have to input 238. And I only batched myself a little bit for now since we're still very poverty. If you're wondering what the conduit here at the LCRE and furnace is for, that was what I set up just for a little bit of radon cuz yeah, at the start you barely need any.

Um, but yeah, there's our first nano circuits and I do need more of the next tier circuits and yeah, that uses more boards which we have now. So, I'm going to say make eight. And again, it's a very very very simple setup. Nothing else automated except the circuit itself. So, we'll have to figure that out. Another thing we have to do is in NH, you have to have something called fluid discretizer for fluid recipes. Otherwise, you can't do fluid recipes.

So, for example, this has soldering alloy. It actually doesn't put soldering alloy cuz it's the older AE where there is no fluid autocrafting, right? So, we do need to work towards this today. Something called fluid pattern terminal. That's the only way we can make fluid patterns. We are missing one main item and that does require the TPV coil. We do need to work a bit towards that. And thankfully that's not the hardest TPV coil.

I think I already have. Yeah. Set here. It's basically a mix of titanium and TPV alloy. No, TPV alloy is titanium, platinum, venadium. Titanium and venadium is very easy. Platinum is not. So, so normally you would do something like plat line for this, but for our use case, we are planning to just use the bad platinum recipe, which is through the blast furnace. And yeah, it only yields two nuggets from three dust, which is awful, but it is just going to give us the way to make TPV now cuz we're way too poor to aim at plant line.

And then that way we can get some fluid autocraft going and start automating everything. Yeah, let's also do this. I need to buy more cables. Yeah, I have been buying cables a lot and we've been building up. I have been using a lot too. So yeah, there's that. Um, and I think I need to actually decide where my AE controller goes now. Cuz now it's about time we set up the proper controller area. And I did plan to have it in the m middle, but I don't think I can anymore because we have to vacuke right here.

And I think my LSC is just going to go here in the ground upside down. So it's hidden under the middle area, which means technically I could do controller up here. It is going to be 7 by 7 by 7. I plan to go for roughly a 8,000 easy to access channel design. Um, solo GG next round. I have not thought that far. Don't even need P2B very soon because you have wireless SX wireless collector which I already actually made two of just for the clean room.

Tesla towers low investment really I don't know I don't I mean we can here let's see how many amps do they do Oh, wait. Do you need batteries to receive them? Oh, what the hell? So it's just basically basic mats. Two HP C for one transceiver. Wait, but that's only 16 amps max. 16 amp is very low. Like we could transform up, but I see only up to Ivy. So yeah, at that point I just and then the whatever this one is le tier.

I don't know what this is. Tesla enables machine. Wait use on top of machine to enable Tesla. Don't transceiver. You can stick the covers directly on energy edge. Yeah, interesting. H if you do controller middle 7 tall, it's kind of still not big enough area for it. I know the middle area we don't need power as much, which is kind of funny.
