So firstly, welcome to a brand new Minecraft update. This is the Wilderness Bound, which is 2650 for Minecraft Bedrock Edition. This is a full release for iOS, Android, Windows, Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch. Now, of course, Minecraft Bedrock Edition has been updated, which means a couple of new issues have been introduced. Has anybody noticed your game is like very saturated? Feels very similar to Minecraft Java and more importantly how Minecraft Legacy Console Edition used to look like. I'm going to show you guys a picture comparison in a second. I don't know if this is a bug. I read through the whole entire change log. Nothing was outlined in terms of saturation. I did go into settings. I went down to video. I changed my brightness. I I thought it was something related to that.
Minecraft used to have a gamma setting for console edition. I was like, did they introduce one of them? No, it's just the way the color looks. Now, to be honest with you, I am expecting a hot fix update to be released either later on today or in fact tomorrow. So, here is the comparison because I was losing my mind. I was like, is this me? Have I changed something? I was only playing Minecraft yesterday. So, this is what it looks like right now.
And this is what it looks like previously. So, you can see the colors very different. Granted, this is a screenshot from an older video which was only recorded like a week ago. So, there's definitely been some form of saturation change. I'm curious if you like this or not. Now, on the Minecraft bedrock section regarding 2650, the community is reporting issues. Whether it's the saturation thing that I've just talked about, invisible characters, some people are having some main menu freezing and crashing, some people are getting stuck at 64% when trying to go into their game.
All of these things have been outlines on Reddit and I'm guessing they have been submitted as bugs and issues on the bug tracker. Minecraft Bedrock always on launch has issues because it's across so many different platforms. I do think a hot fix will be on the way. This is the official bug tracker for Minecraft Bedrock Edition 2650. They're coming in thick and fast. Like I said to you guys, I am expecting another update to roll out very, very quickly.
Skin isn't loading. This seems to be a very popular issue that people are having. Main menu crashes, skins aren't loading. This has always been an issue for Minecraft Bedrock Edition. There is so many issues. Yeah, it's been a while since we had this many major issues, but it looks like there was another one to do with uh this one. quite concerning achievements being disabled in existing worlds with external packs after update 2650.
The only thing I can ever say with this kind of thing is that just wait a couple of days. Like I only do this because I do update videos and I typically do add-on videos, but if you can wait a couple of days, I I would highly advise that. I know it's painful, but that's where we're at. Anyway, let's get straight into this. In today's video, we are checking out Game Drop 3 features. We are starting with the abandoned camps.
Now, this is what Minecraft said. The abandoned camp structure is a new kind of structure which can be found in the following biomes. Meadow, cherry forest, birch forest, old growth birch forest, flower forest, windswept forest, dappled forest, the brand new biome, tiger, snowy tiger, old growth spruce tiger, old growth pine tiger, sparse jungle, bamboo swamp, savannah, wooded badlands, pale garden. It says each of these biomes has its own variants of the structure.
It says with design based on that biome. Now there is tons of different variations per biome which makes each experience very very unique. It says certain structure pieces are generic for all biome variants of the structure. Various chests and barrels with loot can be found at the abandoned camps. Straw beds can also be found in the abandoned camps. Brand new feature alongside cushions, which is a brand new feature. It says, "Chests in abandoned camps contain explorer maps that lead to ancient cities, mine shafts, desert pyramids, warm ocean ruins, and other biome variants of abandoned camps.
This has been updated for this version. Now, if you want to check this out, what's really cool with Bedrock Edition and Java, if you do locate structure and just type in abandoned, you can see every single one of these. You can pick a certain one if you're doing this in creative and go to those specific coordinates. Now, because there's so many, I'm not going to show you them all, but if you do want to see the variants, the Minecraft wiki does have it.
I am going to show you five different versions, though. Also, another spoiler alert. We now have wall, stairs, and slabs. I have a timestamp on this video to teach you all about those. So, this is what your abandoned camp is going to look like. Now, I was kind of hoping that Minecraft would do color variants. We're in a cherry. It'd be nice if it was pink. If we were in like, I don't know, the dappled forest, it could be red, etc.
Just to kind of blend them a little bit more. Um, but I love the potential lore behind this. Obviously, someone has abandoned this. They once lived here. It was once where they slept. We've got a crafting table, a chest, which does have a swamp map, which is a swamp camp map, which this this will take me to the swamp, which we are going to go to. Uh, I'm going to focus a little bit more on maps a little bit later on in today's video, but I'm going to keep that for now.
I feel like the icon has also been updated alongside all of these. You can find bundles, copper, boots is an option. There was one that had a diamond. I'm not sure if they've changed that though. She is and and a couple of things. This is your brand new straw bed, which is great. Again, I have a time stamp with that. We have a campfire alongside the cushions. Again, I have a time stamp for this as well. I don't think this one has any form of secret inside of it.
So, you can find a couple of secret chests. We do have another chest here with a different type of map option, which is going to take us to the dappled forest camp. It's going to take me a while to get used to this color again, you know. I loved how console edition looked and always said that bedrock was a little bit too dark. So, if this isn't a feature, I hope they add a toggle. I'm curious if this has taken me to the swamp one.
It has. H. No, there's another one. Hold on. It's telling me that there's another one. So, we might have two of these. It took me to a completely different one. Let's have a quick look. There's another one over here. Oh, look at that formation. So, that's the really cool thing about this. The formations of these can be very, very different. This one has a mushroom inside of it. I I absolutely love that. So, in terms of what's inside of this barrel, there's nothing super exciting.
Does this one have a secret chest? It might do. I know the other one does. So, we'll very quickly go back there cuz that's the reason why I went to that one. But, at least it took me to the location that we needed to go to. So, again, you can fly up in the in the air and you'll see them standing out because they're all they're all white. This one should have been green in my opinion. That's just my thought process with this.
Uh, okay. So, this one again, we do have two people who possibly stayed here. Or maybe they got wet from this one. They made another bed here. Uh, this one has uh Oh, we broke that a candle inside. There is a secret chest inside of this one, which is hidden underneath the campfire. This is where you find the better loots. That's Does that sound different? Does sound a little bit different in this update. Uh, buried mine shafts.
So, yes, they actually added a map that takes you to a buried mine shafts. Less RNG factor, more I know exactly where I'm going. This one has Which one's this one? Dappled Forest, which we've already got. So, I wonder if it's the exact same one. Feels like the exact same one for me. So, we'll leave that one here. But yeah, let's keep moving on. Couple more to go through. The next one is going to be a mazer or a Badlands, whatever you like to call it.
We have a piggy friend hiding behind the tree. Uh, this one's covered in cobwebs. It has two separate barrels, but this one actually has a lantern where the oxidation has actually started to happen. It also has some cushions as well. I love these cushions. You know, I'm so excited to share these with you. I know most of you are fully aware as to what this update introduces, but it's nice to do it in a full release, I have to admit.
And you can even find them deep insides of your pale garden. This is the one inside of the pale garden, which I wanted to kind of fly up a little bit. Very well hidden. Very well hidden. And this is a perfect location because we're right next to a snowy location. But this one was one of my favorite ones to find. I do think my favorite one has to be a jungle. Um I'm going to let you guys go and explore a jungle one for yourself.
If you haven't seen a jungle one, you have to see how incredible they look because they do have the bamboo shoots kind of popping up throughout them. So, this one actually had a little farm going on, which was nice. Uh, again, there's so many different formations of these. I wonder if there's any secrets with this one. I don't think we have any hidden secrets. Let's see. Sometimes you will find the the hidden chest which possesses the better items, I believe.
Sometimes they might actually be underneath the cushions as well. So yeah, this was really cool this one. The next one would be your dappled forest. So now would be a perfect time to learn about this dappled forest. Now a little bit of a fun fact here for those of you not familiar. The dappled forest actually takes up part of your plains biome, which means you know a lot of the empty space that you've had in Minecraft.
Yeah. It's now adopted with a dappled forest. it. It's so much better. So, if we open this, it says dappled forest. The dappled forest is a new type of forest biome which can be found near cold biomes. It says popular trees and fallen popular trees generate here. Shelf mushrooms can be found here placed on popular trees and fallen popular trees. Red shrubs generate here as well. The following passive and neutral mobs spawn in the dappled forest using their cold variants where applicable. sheep, chicken, cow, pig, rabbit, and fox.
A dappled forest variant of the new abandoned camp structure can also be found here. Now, for clarification, I've played in this same world, same seeds for a very long time and can confirm this was actually a plains prior. There's still part of a plains over there, but this has been integrated in between a colder location. Now, you're not always going to find it like this, but I honestly think this might be my favorite biome based on the colors that it actually has.
Right down there is going to be one of our dappleds forest abandoned camps. This one also looking very awesome. So, this one does have a barrel with a lot of straw beds. I don't think there's any hidden secrets with this. I got quite unlucky in this world. They are quite common, honestly. Uh, I just got very unlucky with this one. This one has a swamp. Does it take me to the previous swamp one that we've been to? A lot of invisibility happening, by the way, guys.
Now I'm starting to see. Now, this might just be a chunk loading thing, but I definitely feel a lot of more latency in this latest update. But ignoring the actual camp itself now, the daffod forest is beautiful. I would have liked to have seen an exclusive mob like a deer or something. A raccoon would have been nice. something that just brought it a little bit more alive. There's some really nice sounds inside of here and it's made up of this popular tree.
Now, the popular tree comes in three different versions, which is going to be yellow, orange, and red. When you have a sapling, the um version you get, you don't actually pick. It's an orangey factor. So, you can't pick to always have red, always have yellow, or always have orange. It just simply happens. Now, on the floor, there's also going to be leaf litter. Again, this is Minecraft's autumn drop, which makes me very excited and very intrigued for the winter related drop.
Uh, we have an aostera among us. So, inside of here, uh, one thing I'm I'm hoping Minecraft does in the future is, as you can see, like I'm holding green, but obviously the color is not green when we're inside of here. I would love to be able to take a red block and place it down here, and it stays red. Now, that does somewhat exist with the shrub, which again, we are going to get into at some point. Um, but inside of here, you're going to find shelf mushrooms.
A little bit bouncy. Again, we're going to read about these. Can actually save you from from a from a death. We should have a couple of sheep generating inside of here. Regular mushrooms can be found inside of here. Your um popular logs can also be fallen as well. So, I've seen pop logs actually fallen in sides of this structure, which looks really, really cool as well. Uh, there is a red shrub, which is this one. So, the reason why I was talking about the grass is because with the red shrub, it actually keeps its color variant, which means if you take the red shrub out of that biome, it stays red.
So, it's definitely possible for Minecraft to do, and I hope they do it in the future. I love the fact that we've got the snow on here as well. Winter is winter is coming for sure. I'd love to know your thoughts on the dappled forest. I want to go and try and find one more. I love the crunching sound. So, this is actually an even better example of how generation works because to my right, we have ourselves a plain village.
So, do you see what I'm talking about? This would have just been empty space back in the day. Your planes are still common. It just means that they've now got something else to compete with, which is the dappled forest, which looks awesome. So, I'd probably live like here cuz I'd love to have a little bit of water and I really like this biome. And we also have a village. This is this is beautiful if you ask me. So, let's kind of head down here and see if we have a different kind of variation of this.
Uh, kind of kind of. This is made up of the hold on the popler fence. I actually didn't know that. I actually really like that, too. But we also have a forest camp that's now been discovered as well. We'll keep them on me. I'm going to need them in today's video. Uh, secrets. Secret. No secrets. Boy, am I getting unlucky with this one. The loading is It's just not there, is it? I think I did experience this in some of the betas and previews and then they went ahead and fixed it.
I love that we do have the cold variation of the cow as well. Um, I don't think we missed anything else around here though. This is on a much bigger scale. This one a little bit more open. There we do have a fox. Although these are meant to be cold variants. I wonder why the the fox isn't. Maybe it did say it was meant to be or not meant to be. I I can't remember. Uh but this on a much bigger scale. That's that's the cool thing about this.
You can find these on small scales or you can find them on really large. See how it started to kind of spread across to the right area as well. This is a really big biome. Much better than the first location that I did find. I'd love to spend all my time inside of here. We have a lot to go through. So, let's learn a little bit more about the popular trees and exactly how they work. Added the popppler tree to the game.
A new type of tree in the dappled forest which comes in three variants. Red, orange, and yellow popppler leaves. Each variant of the tree has its own variant of falling leaf particles matching the color of the leaves. Red will have red falling. Orange will have orange. Yellow will have yellow. Makes sense. Hopper leaves drop hoppless saplings which will randomly grow into any of the three variants. Hopless saplings can be found in trades with wondering trader.
I love love that the wondering trader is a gateway between old updates and new updates. Especially if you've got a long-term world, the wondering trader will be your friend. Also, in something like a flat world, shelf mushrooms and leaf litter naturally generates on and around popular trees. The trunk of the trees are made of popular logs. Popppler logs can be crafted into a new set of popular wood blocks. Forest ambient sounds are tied to the popular leaf blocks, which I kind of showed you the crunching sounds a little bit.
Now, I don't know how long this is going to take or if we're going to get lucky first time here. Let's have a little look at our new friends. Anything popular related? Nope. So, basically, and I don't want to spawn them over there cuz they they get in the way. They constantly get in the way. Basically, our wondering trader friends. There we go. There we go. Can give us popular saplings. Now, again, like I said, it's a gateway between old and new updates.
So, the tree variation, you are not guaranteed to get the same color every single time. Watch it give me the same color every single time. No. Nope. We're doing well. Come on. Can we go three for three? Nope. Can we Can we Can we do it again? Nope. Getting there. Yeah, I think we need one more color. Color blinders. Sometimes this is difficult with these colors. There we go. I know that's red. Okay, I know I struggle I struggle with uh purples and blues and stuff.
Sometimes greens. Um but yeah, th this this is a great introduction. And when you do bone meum, by the way, obviously you have the chance to get a mushroom. Uh if you break these Oh, yeah. You can see the particles. There we go. The different particles over there. So, these ones are going to be red as you can very much see. Uh, but obviously if you do break them, you can still get sticks and stuff. Break these. You can get the popa logs.
Uh, sorry, saplings. So, I think we did get another sapling there, mushrooms, etc. Uh, this is your regular. This is your strips, which I want to show you all of the available stuff we have related to this. Uh you can I do believe compost the saplings as you can see in order to produce a little bit of bone meal if you wanted to. So if we just type in pop for example this is everything we have related to this. I honestly forget like when we do introduce one wood related item the amount of things it actually produces.
Uh I think they need to slow down a little bit honestly. Um, so we've got planks, we've got the fence, we've got we've got the fence gates, stairs, doors, I think are brilliant. Trap doors also looking fantastic as well. Slabs, log, which you did already see. We're going to have to ditch all of these. I told you guys, wondering trader, they get in the way. They just want to be your friend. They do. What's up, buddy? Uh, stripped full version.
Stripped full. These are going to be your leaves. That's going to be your shelf. And again, as Minecraft do start to introduce more items, we're going to have to deal with the likes of shelves, etc. sign. There is also going to be a hanging sign as well. Obviously, two chains and one chain if you do it. Yeah, like this. That's Is there not another one? Swear there's another variation we used to get. Isn't it crouching and doing it like a Vshape? uh boat boat with a chest button pressure plate and that's it.
Now, talking about that shelf mushroom, let's learn a little bit more about it. They said a new type of mushroom that generates on popular trees and fallen trees. Sorry, fallen popular trees can be found in two sizes, small and large. A small shelf mushroom can be grown into a large by using bone meal. A large shelf mushroom drops two shelf mushroom items when broken. can be used like other mushrooms to make stews. Can be found in trades with the wandering trader.
Shelf mushroom has a slight bounciness when stepped on, similar to beds. So again, we did see these inside of the biome. You can compost these. You can compost these. Two different versions exist, small and large. I do think they grow on their own, and we did get them on some trees. Which version was this one, though? If I bone meal it, that was a small one. Now, as it did say, it does have a slight bounciness to it.
So, if I was to put two of these here, we'll do one. We'll do a bigger one, right? And if I was to go onto this and just bounce like this, as you can see now, if I was to just fall here, hold on. I take a heart of damage, right? But if you fall a little bit higher with this, I have armor on. I should be okay. As you can see now, if I do the exact same with a with a bigger one, it can save you in the same way a bed can.
If I was to kind of fall from this kind of height, and I'm going to I'm going to have to just wait a second. If I was to fall from that height in regular Minecraft, I'm I'm looking at losing maybe like seven hearts or something, maybe eight. I think I would lose quite a lot of hearts. So, what I'm basically saying is these things can save your life. So, if you're jumping high, not super high, you still have an option to kind of save yourself.
So, if I was to just fall from this height, for example, see how much I lose. So, these things do actually uh save you very, very slightly. So, bear that in mind. And yes, they can be used in mushroom stews as well and recipes and things like that. I think you can use these to make the suspicious related stews as well. So, I think it's a good introduction. It's a subtle feature in my opinion that makes a big difference.
The red shrub, a little bit more about this. Red shrub is a new type of decorative plant block that can be found in small patches in the dappled forest. As I did show you, can be composted using bone meal on a red shrub. Grows a red shrub in a random adjacent space if possible. So, I can show you guys that I can actually eat this now, by the way. Oops. Without killing myself. There we go. Put that inside of there. So, with the red shrub, and again, like I said, I think it's a great feature.
You can take it from biome to biome, it maintains its color, and if you bone meal this, if it can grow next to it, it will. It will. So, it's more decorative than anything else. Uh, but they did say that you can compost it as well. So, again, all of the items that we've recently been showing you can be composted. Now, the straw bed is a fascinating feature that Minecraft have introduced. They said straw bed is a new type of bed which can be used to sleep through the night without setting your spawn point.
It can only be used once and will be destroyed after use. It cannot be used in the Nether or the end and will be destroyed if you try to sleep in there. So, don't try it. It is crafted using three hay bales and will give you four straw beds. Straw beds break faster with a hoe. So, this is the recipe right here. You just need three hay bales inside of a crafting table. It will give you four beds. Now, just for clarification here, I've now set my spawn points.
If I make this nighttime for slash game rule do daylight cycle as true when I sleep in this. All right, I'm going to very quickly do it before Uh-oh. Uh-oh. I think the game crashed when I slept in that. Okay, so straw beds might be slightly broken. Uh, okay. A local or platform skin cannot be loaded. Ah, so I'm not the only one who's having these kinds of problems. Like I said, this update does have a few of them. Okay, guys.
I'm not even going to attempt to do this. Um, I'm not even going to attempt to do this again because I got a black screen in Minecraft and everything kind of busted. I don't know if anyone's had that same issue with straw beds. So, um, to is do we have the daylight cycle on? I'm not sure if we do is Yep, it's coming up. Okay, so we'll do uh for/ gamer rule do daylight cycle as false and set this to day. Okay, so the way this is meant to work is if I was to sleep in my bed.
If I was to place down this bed, it will set it to daytime. If I was to die, it would still bring me back here. I have no idea what happened with that, but I'm kind of worried that it will break the rest of the world that I need to show you. Quite concerning though. Like I said, I do expect a hot fix to be introduced. Uh, moving on to something very exciting after after decades, 15 years. Uh, added wall stairs and wall slab blocks in all 16 versions.
So, it says added concrete stairs and concrete slab blocks in all 16 versions. Uh, totally didn't forget to place the concrete ones down. Uh, this is super exciting. Minecraft players wanted this for a very long time. Using white wool or any wall type, you can now create yourself stairs. We now finally have wall stairs in Minecraft after all of these years. It's now been introduced to the game. So, this is what your abandoned camps are typically made up of.
And like I said, it does come in all different versions of wool. So, you've got every single one of these that now exist. So, you do have the light gray, the gray, etc. I love the fact that Minecraft 3 shares this content with with us. But you know what? Could you imagine if Minecraft just dropped an update and didn't tell us what they were adding? Like, yep, there we go. There's a brand new update. Enjoy. You know what I'm saying?
I feel like we know everything these days. Sense of mystery would also be nice every now and then, but I'm not going to complain cuz I think this is a great introduction. I think builders are going to love this. I think builders are going to love the concrete stairs and slabs a little bit more than this personally. Um, let's go on to the wall version. So, the reason why I'm showing you this is because you cannot make a cushion until you've made these.
So, in order to make yourself the slabs, you need three of the wool. So, 1, two, three. This will provide you with six slabs. Six of your color of choice. And once again exists in all of these different colors as well. And these get a little bit more exciting when we start to interpret a cushion related item. But it's awesome to see. 15 years we waited for this at least a decade. Took that long for Minecraft to finally give in and introduce these.
They've typically been a part of like add-ons and mods for all of this time. Um and then again we do have them in the concrete version. So, if you just type in concrete, we now have the concrete stairs. This was one of my biggest requests over the wool versions, I think, over all of these years. Personally, I cops. No caps. Okay, there we go. Uh, so like we've got the stairs. Put these all next to each other. And we'll flip them over and have a quick look as well.
The builder's absolute builder's paradise. These ones for sure. Go through these. It looks so clean. They look so so clean. I'm also kind of sad that they did slightly leave Terra cotta though. What do you guys think? You think terra cotta also needs a little bit of love in one of the next updates? I think so. Okay, so we have green, cyan, light blue, blue, and of course, we do have the magenta. They all exist. So, one, two, three, four, five.
And then last but not least in this update in terms of blocks besides the cushion and stuff. Uh we have the concrete slabs. These are also a very nice introduction to the game for players to enjoy. I think I did forget the pink one of these. I did. Forgive me. I love these. So many cool designs are about to be uh established. I I did say that this is definitely a builder update. They called it Wilderness Bounds, but it feels more like the colorful update we did get back in the day rather than like an an adventuring style.
Uh, but that's a fantastic introduction. So, the wool opens up the possibility of cushions. Cushions are incredible. Sitting in Minecraft is now a given. The cushion is an item that the player can place in the world and interact with to sit on. can be crafted in 16 color variants. Cushions are crafted using three wall slabs of the same color. Cushion placement rule. A cushion can be placed on any flat surface. Cushions always align horizontally to the grid or vertically sit on top of the supporting surface.
Cushions cannot move. Cushions break if the supporting block is removed. Cushions do not have collision, which is probably the biggest thing with this, and can overlap with other objects except other cushions. So, in order to make this three of your wool slab of choice, and you get a cushion. Now, like I said, this can be placed in all different scenarios and cases, which is is is awesome. So, like you can put it on here, for example, and you can sit on these with no problem at all.
Now it gets exciting because you can put this literally anywhere. Bear in mind that will get you killed. So be very careful. Uh yeah, you you will end up in some uh very interesting places sometimes. So just be very cautious with them. Don't get yourself killed. Uh we've also got like you can put them on trap doors for example. You can put them on top, but also on the bottom, as you can see, which is a bit weird. Um, you can put them on slabs, weirdly enough.
You can put them on campfires. I did have a sapling here. You can put them on saplings. You can put them on snow layers. All of those things are are now possible in this latest update. Let's grab these. Good luck. So, you can Hold on. Let's get rid of this one. They insta break, by the way. Can't put it on the bottom. I don't think we can put it on the spike. Put it on here. Put it on there or on top. Put it on a sign.
Can put them everywhere, guys. They're so cool. That one looks like it would hurt, but it's definitely durable. Uh or you can go on the bottom like this. They're so cool. And these are your snow layers. Now, people have done like fast travel with them. So, you can travel pretty fast with them if you're smart. You can use them for getting from one place to another, which did already exist with boats, by the way. Just it's a lot cleaner with the cushions.
I think this is probably the greatest the greatest feature in this update. I I have to admit, I think just because of the possibilities that it can do. I love I love these, don't get me wrong. I think these are really cool, but in terms of functionality and being very unique, I I think they definitely open up a whole new possibility for players. So, sadly, that's it for the update. We now get into features and bug fixes.
So, I'm going to go through these a little bit faster than usual. It says the text to speech with device setting option has been removed. Text to speech can still be turned on and off through the accessibility settings and a first TTS discovery is still done on all devices as before. A green vignet now appears while the noiser effect is active when screen distortion is turned all the way down via the accessibility. So, as you know, if you get inside of here, you end up sick, right?
And your screen starts to move. So, what Minecraft has started to do is introduce a little bit more accessibility features. So, we should have a screen distortion. If you have this all the way off, what happens now is you end up with It's meant to be like a slightly different color. I feel like we've got a slight Yeah, there you go. There we go. It zooms in all the way. You know, like the Oops, I'm opening my friends list.
You know, like the powdered snow. It's like that. Uh, which to be honest with you, I absolutely despise nausea, but I still keep it on. I don't know why. [laughter] It It definitely does make me a little bit sick and nauseous. Um, but I'm so glad that they introduced that. Moving on, we have some changes with block related things. Restored the growth speed of sulfur spikes and pointed dripstone after a recent change accidentally made them grow 25 times faster, which means your spikes would zoom all the way up.
Cherry, pale oak, and popular saplings are no longer flammable. matching the other sapling types. Fix saplings not growing when leaves were above them. Fix block connection states being lost when loading a world. Save before those stated or states exist, which could leave fences, stairs, thin fences, and trip wire drawn as if they were not connected. So, these were growing way too fast. Character creator, it says skins can now have names consisting entirely of numbers.
That exists. game play. So, some very interesting gameplay changes here. Fixed hoppers unintentionally collecting items on its sides uh at large coordinates. We have a bug report for fixed droppers facing east or south inserting items into containers below them instead of ejecting them the items forward. So, this has been an issue for many years, six years apparently it was reported and was an issue in a lot of those versions.
And there's a couple of demonstrations. Uh, for some reason, I'm not able to check them out, but they did have a couple of demonstrations explaining what the issue was. Somebody did actually, uh, I'm guessing create some form of pack to actually fix it, but it should be resolved now. As stated, fixed a bug where damage calculation did not apply correctly to players falling from certain heights through one block of water.
Fixed an issue that could cause players who died while inside the Nether portal to respawn in the Nether. Fixed an issue where the same seed would generate end portals with inconsistent amount of eyes of Ender. We do have a bug report, but it also says player map icons now show rotation even while outside of the map bounds. I'm going to explain that in a second. So, I remember checking this out in beta/ preview. This person loaded in the exact same seeds multiple times and you can probably just about see it.
It had one eye there. It had 369 in that one, one in a different location. Three, this was the same seed. So, basically what's meant to happen is seeds are meant to generate the same for speed running purposes. Uh, with this specific seed, it wasn't actually happening. It's been fixed. Let me explain this one right here. And I didn't actually show you, but like as a as a little bit of a teaser here, bottom right, we now have our indication in the direction that we are facing.
Now, I can show you this even better with an empty map locator. Bro, they stole they stole the the direction you're going in from us to go in par with Java. For them to introduce this to Java and leave the remove feature in Bedrock for us to for them to bring it back in Bedrock. I'm so glad this was reintroduced. This was so annoying. It was not needed and sometimes makes me very frustrated with Minecraft, honestly. But I'm so glad it's back.
Which means obviously if you're trying to locate all of these, you now know the exact place you're going to. So for this one, I need to go in that direction. For this one, I need to go in that direction. For this one, I need to go in that direction. Not knowing that was so tedious, so frustrating. I have to admit, I don't know why they do things like that sometimes. Communication can be terrible. Um, this is fixed with damage calculations.
I think we did that one. We did that one as well. Fixed entity teleporting to unexpected location when using the teleport command between dimension. Explorer maps now have new icons to better indicate where they lead. Let's read the wiki with that one. Fixed totem activation not synchronizing health when final health equals the original value. Fixed an issue where players and mobs could load in a world at 0000 and lose all their items after reloading a world.
Lava lakes no longer replace nearby beds or doors with stone during world gen if a lake generates in a village. So, I couldn't actually find a proper image, but basically all of these are different types of map icons. So, if I was to very quickly like zoom in and show you guys this way. This one reminds me of an octopus, but it's an ancient city. You I don't know. It just does. Or squid. Um, so this one's going to be for your mineshaft, buried treasure.
This one is a trial chambers. This one is a pyramid. This is a a jungle one. You've got all of these different icons. And obviously, these are going to be for your abandoned camps. So, they've all been updated. As for graphical items, mobs, and realms, excuse me, let's read the change log. So, I did have a good read of these, and there was nothing in particular that stood out that I needed to kind of show you guys in game.
Don't get me wrong, there was a lot of graphical items, mobs, and I think UI changes in this update. I feel like this update, we've waited a very long time for it, and we didn't actually get as much as I was expecting, but a lot of it is technical updates related. Now, if you are interested in the the change log, I'll leave it down below in case you guys want to read some interesting things. It says, "Bats now spawn in all overworld biomes of Seven Deep Darks." They're just not things that I need to put on science.
This video is already very long. Um, it's just to save us all time. I think if you do have a realm though, it's definitely worth reading the realm changes. So, one sound thing I wanted to focus on is multiple jukeboxes can now play the same record independently. Uh, I kind of liked this. So listen carefully to this. >> So what I wanted to show you there is that I think they synchronized previously. You are not helping me today, sir.
You are not helping me. But yeah, you can put them in and they'll kind of be like delayed slightly, which I think is so cool. And I didn't think I would like it, but I actually really liked it. And you can do this with as many different jukeboxes as you desire as well, which I thought was super freaking awesome. Uh, broadcast sounds such as jukebox records now play from the correct position for players who move into range or connect after the sound has started.
Then we have performance and stability. Let's read the change log and user interface. Let's read the change log. So with stability and performance, there's been a lot of like crash fixes. Although the beds did break it in today's video. Uh again, I read through all of this. There was nothing major that I needed to focus on. But what I can say, they did reduce the memory used by animated character creator skins. Um it says user interface, new social/ friends drawer, uh infrastructure with performance fixes.
There's been a whole bunch of changes, but nothing that I think specifically needed to be outlined. If there is and I'm wrong, feel free to correct me in the comment section cuz again, user interface had so many changes, guys. And I do remember this when we were going through all of the betas and previews. Look at all of those changes. Uh yeah, there was a couple of changes with with uh PS4 and 5 GI modifier will now be respected on title launch.
I'm guessing it was resetting. Achievement warnings are no longer displayed in preview and beta builds. Lots of changes. As for the marketplace, migrated the marketplace wishlist flow to the all UI factory pattern. Uh play screen remove flickering icon and world card texture on layout change in player screen. Additionally, the column layout now alternates between 4, three, and two columns depending on screen size. Settings.
The tick speed can now be set to zero inside of game settings tab. And then storage updated old world conversion flow to OUI storage settings. It says ported in OUI the modal connected to the sync old world action in storage tab ported in OUI uh the deletion modal used by storage list and then technical updates. Let's read the change log once again to put this into perspective. This is all of your features. These are all of your fixes and then we get into all of the technical side from this point on which is all of this all all of this huge and again this means that the add-ons that we are buying the add-ons that are being created in the community are going to be significantly better.
I know a lot of marketplace partners are excited for this because next week we have some very big add-ons releasing. So, if you're interested in the technical side of Minecraft, the link is going to be down below. I hope this video has kept you updated. Just be very cautious on when you're updating. And I would typically wait for a hot fix updates.
