at and um see if I can get up to balance point and whatnot, but I'm just going to be using the rear brake. No hand brake, no nothing. This is a stock bike. So. Rev it up maybe 4 and 1/2, 5K. Right there, we're sitting at balance point.

hi guys what is up it is your least favorite bottle vlogger brian636 here coming live from the limiter podcast today we have Kyle from Evansville Indiana what's going on man what bike do you ride how long you been riding for and uh what's your situation well I got a I used to have an fc07 but I wanted to go back to the Supermoto so I splurged and bought a DRZ and uh been riding for about three years now and and uh it's been a journey it's just been a wild ride to be honest well what's going on man what what can we help you with today you're on a DRZ call me and you've been riding for three years uh what do you got from me how can I help you so my thing is how can we uh how do I say this like dropping back so far and slowing down I'm like what you guys would call break raping like how do you how do you draw back and Be steady because it's like a constant throttle and choppy break and a choppy throttle like is there are should I be smooth with it all the way through or should I just you know sit there and hang out and try and feather it all the way through so let me ask you this just because uh I guess I'm a little bit confused on this you said you're sitting at balance point but you're break raping to do so correct yes like I feel like I'm getting ready I can feel my break kind of giving out a little bit and it feels like I'm um it's like back and forth fluctuating real hard it's not steady like you have it in your videos you know it's like I'm choppy with it right so like any tips I guess on how to be so choppy and I guess um so I think the first thing that I'm gonna tell you here because I'm I'm imagining you do this right now is just come back that extra inch or so man I mean you already trust your break enough that you're breaking anything so you understand how that break works in the first place so I'm going to tell you just drop back that extra little bit um get ready to start doing clutch work soon because those supermotos um getting rid of that engine brake and stuff like that is huge so get ready to start getting uh some clutch work and um yeah make sure you got some good brake fluid in there yeah my buddy he rides uh he rides a KTM 500 and I kind of look up to him in a way because he's local to me and and uh he's always told me he's like when you drop back are you clutching in or not and I'm like no man I'm just I'm engine breaking all the way back and he said pull the clutch and the one time that I pull a clutch I looped and I was like oh my God it's like wow that actually happened and I don't know so I've been trying to work on on clutching in and you know and dropping back and slowing down but I'm just I guess it's like muscle memory to to engine break back and not pull clutch in but yeah like you said I think that's my next step is pulling my clutch in and and getting used to that and absolutely you got you got the biggest thing from what it sounds like man you got the biggest thing out of the way what I think a lot of new guys struggle with when they're learning how to wheelie is trust in that rear brake and that's something you already have now I want you to work on using that back brake a little bit less we're not trying to ride it and uh I guess I'm gonna do that with a follow-up question do you have steel lines on the bike and you're running some good brake fluids or you're not going to get that brake fade well I had steel lines on the seven and I just got this DRZ like two weeks ago and I'm currently looking at a snow on the ground yeah so that's gonna be hey I just I just yeah I just bought a brand new bike for me and it's like dang it there's there's snow on the ground I can't go out and ride you know but yeah that was my first upgrade I was gonna do so to speak with steel lines and then I seen that that last video you put out was the the motool 660 and I was actually I've been trying to find something that has a higher boiling point because you know that's what uh everybody was saying was get rid of those rubber lines immediately yeah get rid of those rubber lines put some uh some good brake fluid in there and um yeah I guess I want to really leave you with a piece of advice that one of the OG's in Chicago told me when I was really learning I think how to drop back and learn how to scrape and stuff and that is if you're afraid to crash you'll never progress so yep getting rid of getting rid of that little bit in your brain of being afraid of the bike especially in something like a drg you're a Grom get rid of that little bit of fear man and you'll be a killer within a couple months you know get some good parts on there and whatnot and um yeah I can't wait to see your journey man is there a place that we can follow you yeah my insta handle is uh handbrake underscored nape you guys can get on there follow me you know I really appreciate your time Brian man I love everything you're doing for the for the bike Community man it's awesome you know putting us on the putting us out there for people to see man it's it's awesome because you know you got all these people thinking that all these dudes are criminals they're terrible people riding wheelies down the street like nah man you know we're just out having fun you know I don't know it's pretty cool to see you out there putting a name for us out there and I really appreciate what you're doing for us and uh appreciate you calling in and being our first caller um on this right and I really do appreciate it and I look forward to seeing your progress my guy uh thanks for calling in bro nothing but love can I leave that can I leave something for everybody to just like a little phrase I like to use when riding absolutely man drop us with a phrase they told me this in the Army comfortability is the enemy to progress and got stuck by that ever since and it's it's got me a long way good man good man I love that all right brother Happy New Year and a belated Merry Christmas yes sir you too all right brother see ya all right guys you heard it he's been riding for about three years struggling with that dropping back point that a lot of guys do get um as soon as they start figuring out how the wheelie and they get to that point where they're break raping um it sounds like he just needs that extra little push and I hope I gave it to him there you know he's not gonna he's not made of glass he'll be all right something tells me this dude's gonna be scraping Fender and dropping back like nothing in a couple months if you guys are liking this series make sure to hit the like button uh if you guys are new here make sure to subscribed to my channel as I'm going to be trying to put these out at least once a week and if you got something to say or want to know a little bit more about what we're doing leave it down in the comments as always I love you guys respect life and happy New Year this is least favorite motovlogger brian636 signing out peace
