We got to talk about your drama. The hidden love. We got to talk about it. >> Yeah. Yeah. With Hidden Love, I was in a very, very dark time in my life. I was so confused cuz I was like, how out of everyone? >> Why >> me? What's >> as of right now, this specific moment, it's like 1:05, I would say. Let me check. Okay. Is it 10:05 p.m.? >> Headshot. Phones. >> I It did ring. I'm just [laughter] checking my I'm just checking the time. All right. All right. All right. I'm put it away. It's 10:03. It's 10:03. >> Okay. So, you're puffy. >> So, I'm puffy. I woke up at like 11:30 in the morning and I didn't get coffee yet. So, >> Okay. I usually wake up and I have a matcha and I have not had my matcha.
You know, we always get matcha coffee. >> You have to get the matcha americano. The watered down like boring. >> No, no, no. We don't want any of your water. Okay. >> But it's healthy. >> Do you actually enjoy the taste of it or is it because it's healthy? >> That's with me with everything. I technically don't enjoy food cuz Okay, I was a chubby kid when I was in like when I was in middle school, high school. >> I'm going to Google your pictures. >> I was such a chubby kid.
I mean there you might find some. I kind of trained myself. I was like, "Okay, like you have to kind of subconsciously not enjoy food." I don't even look forward to cheat meals any like anymore. So, when I was like really on a diet, right, I did the trainee thing. You know how they like have you eaten like a cup? >> I heard that trainee and I heard this from my other friends who are like idols or trainee. They were like they were on a diet one time where they had like like a chicken breast that's the size of your palm and then like one apple. >> Yes. >> And you get that all day. >> So, what they do is they have these cups, right?
And they basically anything that you can fill up the cup with. You can eat whatever >> but it can't exceed to that like tiny >> is the cup like >> No, it's like tiny. It's one of them paper cups that you get at the like the when you get water at like a >> at the convenience store. >> Yeah. >> The paper cup. >> It's like really tiny. So three cups a day. You can eat whatever you can fill it in with. But it's just that's it. one of our dance teachers, like the dance coaches, he would like go eat really good food and have us just sit right in front of him and just we could and watch him eat while we're sipping water.
And this was the science that he he explained behind it. He said because our brains when we look at really good food, right? >> We start producing hormones like your taste buds get more active like Right. Exactly. So, but then you're not eating anything. >> You're just drinking water. >> But it tricks you into thinking like >> it tricks you into thinking that you're eating. So the thing is like with me like with coffee like I'm a huge coffee drinker, right?
I it's always it's it's a it's a matcha americano. It's a regular Americano. I don't like the bitter taste of coffee but I know it's like okay it's getting my metabolism up. You know if I if I you know if I drink it on an empty stomach I do my cardio >> like I'm good. That's the only reason why like I'd be drinking all that is just for health. It's not for the taste. And also I think the reason why I'm bloated this morning is because I definitely had some beat ups last night.
You know buffalo wild wings with some ranch. That's my [ __ ] Just >> I love how you're like, I can look at food. I cannot eat it. I get full just by But some Buffalo wings. >> No, some Buffalo Wild Wings. >> What was the regimen? Cuz I've heard from other friends that they had selfie classes. >> I didn't really go into that like that deep cuz like I think it's closer to when you debut. That's when they start actually having those in.
But we did have something similar to that. It was mainly still just dancing like your ass off like >> for the entire day. And it's just >> 18 hours a day. >> It's absolute nightmare. How long was your longest dance session in one day? >> Oh my god. It was like I had to stay after too cuz I couldn't get it down >> because I was never really the good dancer. I actually didn't really enjoy dancing >> like choreography wise.
No, I like party in the function. You know what I'm saying? Like you know what I'm saying? You got to groove. But like when you're >> in a coro and when you're dancing with like 10 other dudes, >> it's so hard >> when everyone has to look the exact same. >> Yes. I had to do that for the K-pop movie that I did. It's just >> it's I don't think people understand like K-pop artists the dancing is actually insane because imagine you and the person on the other side have to be at the exact same angle.
So your brain just has to memorize, okay, I have to step back exactly this much to get into position. I have to do this. I have to slide here. I have to do this. But then your facials also have to be good. And then you have to think about your hair fling, >> right? And which one's red light, which cam you're looking at when you're on stage. It's not a process that you enjoy. It's It's just by muscle memory, >> you know?
I have nothing against it. It's just It's not for me because the thing is I like when I when they auditioned me, I got in for rap. I was a theater kid in high school, right? >> We were all theater kids. >> I was I was I was I was that I was the obnoxious theater kid. The high school that I went to, it was an arts high school. >> Oh, that's why. >> But the musical theater kids, like, let's say I'm going to the bathroom, right? >> High school musicals in your toilet.
Like some musical theater kids will walk up to like the urinal right next to me >> and just start belting Phantom of the Opera. >> There's no way. They're doing their business >> and they're belting. >> Phantom of the Opera. >> Yes. This happened to me about like four times like with like throughout my days in high school. >> Is that what art high schools are like? I went to a regular person high school so I have no idea. >> Arts high school be like that.
Yes. >> So did you always know you were going to be an artist or like rapper like actor? Cuz you went to an art high school. >> I've always wanted to be an actor and The reason why I wanted to act is because of the liveaction like child like Power Rangers. >> What? >> Like liveaction shows for kids. That was the reason why I wanted to act >> really >> cuz like the thing is I was like, "Yo, >> how lit would it be >> if I just had like a transform thing and I turned into a Power Ranger." So that's when I was like, "Okay, like I'm going to really lock in on acting." For those of you who might not know, we actually knew each other since we were kids in middle school.
We went to the same math camp, which is like the most Asian thing of Asian things. >> I was doing math camp. You >> I was doing math camp and we went to the same math camp. The reason why I was forced to go to that was because >> you could at math. >> I could math. It's just my parents think I could at math. I was in seventh grade. You know what he was writing on the the the guy who was who was teaching all of us? >> He was doing like AP calc on us when I was in seventh grade.
Is that what he was doing? I don't even remember. >> It was hard. I was like, "This is harder than the stuff that I'm doing at school." >> So, was I just really smart? >> You were You were smart cuz you were like, you always got it right. That's why I was like, "Yo, let me take a little peek." >> Okay, we can say this now because you know, I don't Okay, here's the thing. I don't You're an artist now. It's okay. It's not like you went to go and do your math things and you needed math. >> Yeah.
Yeah. No, I don't encourage No, I don't I definitely don't encourage y'all like, you know, like not do your own work. Your eyes did wander onto my answers, but that was fine. >> I did. But no, it was an extracurricular after school thing that our parents had to pay >> Yes. >> to go to and it was way harder. >> It That's why it was so hard. That makes so much sense now. Okay. But what if one day you got a role to be a mathematician and they said for this role you have to study math so you look like you know exactly what you're talking about.
Would you lock in and do it? >> I would now. Yes. We got to talk about your drama, The Hidden Love. We got to talk about it. >> How was the auditioning process cuz you were doing a bunch of stuff in China before that, but I would say like this is the one that blew you up also internationally. >> I agree. Yes. Um, with Hidden Love, I was in a very very dark time in my life. They gave us calls like, "Yo, the producer thinks you're a really good fit for Son." I was so confused cuz I was like, "How out of everyone?" >> Why >> me? >> Me?
Cuz Sonen is this guy. So in the novel, he's this like he's b he's not even human being. He's a god. Okay. He's basically a god. He's like goodlooking. He's tall. He owns a bar. >> He takes care of his sister. >> He takes care of his sister. How can you be all that? Just one character, >> right? >> He's literally the perfect guy. >> Mhm. Like usually if if a guy like that like okay you have some sort of like okay like maybe he's not good-looking or like maybe something's wrong with him or he has like >> or he's a player >> or he's a player he has you know he's got like issues with his family but he doesn't he came from a really solid solid family he came from a facet of love so it's like how out of everyone >> Mhm.
I'm not going to lie, like I'm not the best looking guy, bro. Bro, you know how many good-looking actors there are in China? >> They build different. I honestly think there's something in the water right now that is just like >> they're just like, bro, like I I I kid you not, like whenever I see them in person, >> is it equally like unreal in person? >> Yes. And I just want to walk. I don't I don't ever want to stand right next to them cuz they're just good-looking.
Like I've seen some actors and actresses in person and it's like actually it should be illegal how good their face card is. >> Exactly. Like the perfect bone structure. >> It's it's disgusting. >> Like and they're tall and they have dreamy eyes >> and you know what I mean? It's it's like how can I ever top that? >> Like you're trying to have a conversation and then you just literally get lost. >> So why out of everyone it was like why did you come to me?
Mhm. >> Like before that, I never really did like loveydovey >> shows. I always did like like like athletes or like comedy um stuff that's like hardcore like stuff like that. >> Right. >> So I was like and I was like what what was going on through your your your head when you thought of like casting me. >> I had like a Zoom call with the director. I had a bleached buzzcut at the time. How like and I was just jacked, right?
How in the hell am I going to be in a right >> in in in in in a loveydovey like >> yeah like a teen romance >> teen romance show. How was that even what were you guys thinking? I went on this Zoom call and I was talking to the the director and I was like I have to be honest with you guys. I don't think I'm a good fit for this. >> Like look at me. I have a bleached buzz cut. I'm wearing a wife beater as I'm not wearing a wife beater. >> You know cuz I mean no when you're yolked you want to show skin.
Like you know what I'm saying? That's like that's the thing. >> What am I training for if you're not looking >> exactly? you're not looking at my arms like so yeah I be having ken you know what I'm saying [laughter] like I be having that you got to have the you know the you know the chop sleeves the 90° or like tank tops or white beers and I was in my my workout clothes and I was just like yeah bro like I was trying to I'll square I'll square it up I'll square it up I was just like >> so I flew into Shaman like where they where they shot it right >> and you know what my plan was going to be so unprofessional I'm going to have the director hate me so he's going to so she's going to tell me to fly back tonight so I don't have to like do this.
That's my original plan. >> That's crazy. >> And you know what's crazy is before I even I even they started shooting rumors online was saying that I was there and I was unanimously hated. >> No. >> On the internet. 2022 what I went on 300 like trending searches on like Doian Xiao and like way like all the like the Chinese social media platforms. >> I was unanimously hated by the entire public. like the fandom or the entire >> the fandom like the entire like people were like talking like just trash talking like threatening my family telling me that I'm not good enough and like it's for an entire year like I was already at a very dark place in my time >> because that was your darkest place and then you had everyone on the internet >> and then everyone on me just unanimously hated me.
It was bad. I mean >> no there were times like I was literally I was calling my parents. I was like yo um if this actually fail I'm just going to quit. I'm just gonna go back to like doing like real estate like do real estate with you guys do architecture related or like take over the business that bad. >> Yeah. Because if if [clears throat] you get that amount of hate and you flop >> the Yeah, that's true. >> You're done.
And I was like, "Okay, so that's that was my plan. I'm going to not be a part of this. This is all fake. So, I'm going to have everyone shut up." Right. Right. >> I was like, "Yo, I'm definitely not suitable for this role." I was being really unprofessional. I was like, you know, I was purposely doing that. So, I they fire me. >> Right. And so the director said she she was like, "Okay." She's like, "You're not my first pick, but I would like to dabble and gamble with you with you playing this role." And I told her originally my plan was to let you hate me, >> right? >> Like I'm going to have you hate me and then you So you're going to you're going to fly me out.
So here, actually, I changed my mind. If you're going to dabble, >> let's do it. I'm with you. I'm on your side. Let's do it. So that's how it went. And then throughout the process, too, Rosie um >> um who played my sister, she's like actually my sister in real life, too. Like I genuinely view her as like my little sister. Like >> you guys met for >> we met on the show. >> Uhhuh. >> On that on Hidden Love and she really gave me a confidence booster. >> Really? >> Because I was still gassed up on the fact of like I need to look good.
And I was >> that's what everyone was doing. Right. >> Exactly. But she said this to me. She goes, "Why don't you just be yourself? Why are you trying to be someone who you're not?" And I was like, "Well, everyone online is saying that science is supposed to look like this." And I read, you know, I read the novels. I heard like I was listening to the audio book and all that like I did my research like this is how he is.
It's like no like she's like like utilize what you have and fit that into the character and like just be funny like you're a funny person and I was like >> all right let me redo the scene >> like right then and there you redid the scene >> cuz we just did one and you know like when you're when you're trying to look good you always kind of look stiff in your acting. >> Yes. Cuz you're always trying to be like if I was trying to look good on camera right now I'd be like this. >> Exactly.
And she's like I know what's going online. I see it, too. But by the time you're going to be doing that, no, it's game over. You're going to reinvent who this character is. That's on you. Since that smooth. And then we had like such legendary scenes like off of that. And a lot of it was off improv, too. I was having so much fun with her on set like >> cuz it's a whole brother sister like it's literally the real vibe of like the brother sister vibe. >> Exactly.
So like there were a lot of things that were not on script. That one scene that we did was when I had to tutor her in homework and math. >> You You've put it to use. [laughter] Let it be known here. >> I had to tutor her in math. That one scene. >> Yeah. >> Originally, it's supposed to just end like with her just crying and then just like walking outside the room, right? >> And then because in the past scenes like she always does this thing where she like tells on like she tells like when mom like she's a tattletail.
That improv scene was like, "Okay, she got really she got really pissed and she stood up and she w started walking out the door >> and I knew she was gonna say, "Mom." >> Yeah. >> So, I said it first. >> And then I went I like went right in front of her and I literally was like, >> "Wait." >> So, she couldn't say it. So, I had to say it right before she did. >> So, then she was like >> And I was like, "Yes, I won." >> Wait, that's crazy.
So, that was an improv scene. >> That was an improv scene. That was pure improv. >> So, it felt like a real little sister. >> Exactly. So, she felt like a real little sister. That's why That's what I'm saying. through that show. She was the one who kind of got me out of like my like >> the the hump or whatever >> the hump or like the that that just >> so no I like I just that's why it was so good >> like the brother sister thing cuz like we really were we were really playing around with it.
There were so many No, I mean a lot of it wasn't even edited in like there was so much just other funny stuff that >> you guys are just like >> exactly just going at it arguments and like and just like saying some nonsense and it's just hilarious. But like that but it's that chemistry that was real. Going back to what I was telling you about like you know the acting the technique and whatnot that is based off of real emotions. >> Mhm.
The thing is like once in a while you do actually have to kind of put it out, >> right? >> Because the thing is like the other actor or the other actress has to be doing the same thing. Like let's say we're playing brothers and sisters. It can't just be me using like I'm not feeling nothing. I'm just saying these lines. Yes. I I I look okay on camera, but you're not feeling it in real life, >> right? >> You know what I'm saying?
Like >> the other actors being >> So this is like this is a thing where actors and actors is this is the chemistry between actors. That's how you kind of build that up too. That's because it will show in the characters. It will actually show. So, yeah. No, then we became like really good friends after. Yeah. No, I would say like one of my best friends. I really just I I see her as a little sister. Really kind of having that that chemistry when it came out.
It was it just the entire it just flipped the script. Like everyone overnight was just like, >> "Yeah, now I have to admit like, yeah, he's good in it." >> They were like, "Actually, I take that back. Delete. Delete." Yeah. Yeah. Like if if you're going to be a public figure, you kind of have to be ready for that. It's like part of it's like >> people are going to hate you. Yeah. Someone's going to hate you for something cuz you have to make choices, right?
And I feel like especially for you cuz your image is so not like the standard typical Chinese celebrity image. >> People like would like Yeah. would like hate on me. Yeah. But again, like it got me to where I am today. You know what I mean? Like it's just being yourself really. Asian entertainment in general, there's just so many protocols and rules that you have to follow. Like >> it's like social rules. >> It's like social rules.
Like I've always kind of thrived off of controversy. >> Really? >> I couldn't tell. >> Yeah. No, like I just have a bunch of haters. No, it's like whenever like I I make a big step in my career. I'm either in a really dark place or just like it just it's always that. >> Okay. I haven't seen all your stuff. Obviously, I haven't seen it all. >> Have you ever done a spicy scene? >> What do you mean by that? Like a spicy scene? >> Like like a love scene?
I've definitely done scenes like that. Um, you have >> I have like >> like >> I didn't even know that. >> The foreplay before >> Yeah. before you >> before you hit it out of the park. >> Um, you know, you guys are into it. You know, you know, all the signs are, you know, coming your way. You know, >> it's not awkward because >> first, not with the actors. It's not awkward cuz we know each other so well already. >> Oh, >> you know what I mean?
Like, it's not like the first scene. Like, if it was the first scene, now that's crazy. Oh my god. The director's like, "All right, first day on set. Um, we're doing the bed scene." And >> that's crazy. Take it all off now. >> Yeah. Yeah. That's That's cra That's That's actually crazy. I mean, we don't take it all off, but yo, but sometimes I'm like, "Where is the clothes?" Cuz I'm looking at the scene and I'm like, "Where where is the fabric that must be there, you know?" >> No, it's just it's just camera work.
I mean, obviously, like I'll have my top off, >> right? Right. Right. >> Right. But I have my boxers in or like how like >> you know what I mean? Like it gets awkward because sometimes we're too close cuz if she's like a bro. >> Oh, she's like a bro. And then so if you have to do romantic scenes is the tip to not get that close until you're done with those and be like, "All right, now now we can hang out. We can have a drink and we can we can be friends." >> It's really hard for me.
People enjoy spending their time with me. Like people like >> the time I can I can >> you know what I mean? Like people like talking to me. People like hanging out with me for no reason. So sometimes like when I be in on set like I want to go back to my trailer, right? I just want to chill for No, they're just Yo, what are you doing? >> Yo, let's talk. Let's Let's hang out for a bit. You want to come down and like sit in the sun for a bit?
I'm like, all right, bet. >> But you never say no. That's the thing. You're so down. You're always like But like as a good sport, >> like No, I'd be down, but it's like there are times in like in the day where you just want a like 10 minutes of alone time. You know what I mean? You just need that 10 minutes of like >> I need 10 hours, but yeah, >> I would like 10 hours, but like a lot of times I just automatically become really good friends with some people like all the time.
It's just it just happens like like we talked about it and um I wasn't awkward though. She got awkward like she actually got really like uncomfortable with it and SHE KEPT LAUGHING. >> NO, CUZ THEY have to redo the scene. >> Exactly. She can't look at me. >> She can't make eye contact cuz I should have burst out laughing. Is it true that they make you guys rehearse the movements? Like there are some scenes where I'm like there's no way.
They must have rehearsed that because it's like he'll like they like take off their shirt and then he'll like pick her up and he'll put her over there and then they're doing this thing and then there's like a closeup of like the and I'm like is this like choreographed? >> Like it's not like choreography. >> The cameraman also has to know when you're like going places to do things. >> So what we do is let's say with this scene, right?
Okay. We come into the space, we have our scripts and then we kind of just be like okay like where would you want to go if you're doing the scene as you're saying the lines? the actors would kind of do it first like the like you know all the cameramen would like kind of just look okay so you're going to be walking there they have to map out like your your route >> all the blocking >> it's usually only for the wide shots and the mid shots that you have to chore like kind of choreograph with it >> no we're just I'm we're not even going with this >> but I I was like wait I did have um wait hard signal >> hard signal like the love show >> of the dating show >> how do you know about that >> I've been googling you for this you know this is so funny cuz we're actually friends and I didn't know any of this for research for the show.
I went and I Googled you and I like literally I did a deep dive. I know too much about you now. >> That's Yeah, that's scary. >> I actually watched some of Hidden in Love. It's really It's really funny cuz to me you're the little brother. So to see you acting like the big brother is so funny. Like [laughter] like me, you and Amber, right? You're the DD by far. >> Yes, I am. >> So you're the bratty little brother. Like you would be the one that would go and tell mom. >> That's crazy. like how you know about um Heart Signal.
It's big in China, but it's just so it's so niche right now. >> I'd be googling. It's funny cuz I Googled it. I haven't watched it yet because I just wanted to talk about >> No, you should have watched it. Honestly, I'm telling you right now, don't watch it. >> Are you the host or are you competing? >> So, this is what they do. So, they have like six girls and like six boys on like who like they be going in dating, right? >> Yeah.
Right. >> So, they would have a thing called like kind of like the setting's kind of like this where they have these monitors and they play whatever happens. commentary and we comment on it. >> Okay. >> When I first did the show, I thought I was going to go in and start dating people. I was like, I'm down. And then it happened. [laughter] It turned out they just put in front of a TV watching them date. I was like, this is some [ __ ] >> You're like, I thought I was going to be dating. >> Exactly.
I was like, them [ __ ] scammed the [ __ ] out of me, bro. >> Where the girls at? >> Exactly. I'm going to be searching for my future wife. There's just there's just a bunch of dudes and a TV >> and a bunch of dudes and like which is commenting and like and it's like a it's it's kind of like this but sometimes I do it at like a conference table. >> Like it looks it looks like a meeting like or having corporate meetings about other people's lives on other people's love lives, right? >> It's so funny cuz like I was telling the the the the directors I was like yo can you just please put me in the thing? >> Yeah.
You're like please I want to get married. I want to find my future. I just want to experience it for once, like what it's like, >> what it's like. >> So, they actually did let me go in. They let me and the other host went in and we had to go to two separate rooms to talk to like the two two groups of people. I was trying to do this thing. I was like, "All right, I'm going to pretend >> I'm not the host. I'm going to pretend that I'm actually like the new member who joined like along the way." And I did. >> So, you tricked them? >> I tricked them like for like a solid like 20 minutes. >> Oh my god. >> So, I went in >> Uh-huh. >> the guys the way that they were looking at me, they legit wanted to murder me.
No way. They were just like, "Oh, this [ __ ] >> No, they they like I walked in the room, right? They were all eating. They all stood up like boom." And they were eyeing me down and I was like, "Yeah, yeah, yeah." I was like, "I'm here. I think I'll be >> the new I'm the new guy." So, yeah. Yeah. No, you guys keep, you know, I'll make some I'm out. >> And then the girls started being really proactive like, "Oh my god, I I'll I'll prepare some stuff for you and stuff like that." I was like, "No, I'm I was like, and I was talking to one of them and I was like, "Yo, um, I'm I'm kind of like dropping weight a bit, so I can't eat what you're what y'all are eating, so I'll just eat like some like water boiled vegetables." And she was like, "Oh my god, I'm actually cutting down too.
Let me do it for you." She went in the kitchen and started prepping for me and I was like I was like, "Wait." Or I was like, "Okay, this is going this is going a bit out of hand." >> Yeah. >> Because like she like she's genuinely like because she was the new girl, too. Oh, so she also didn't know like >> cuz like the thing is like a lot of them they already like they've already been doing this for like two weeks already. >> So they're already coupled up and they already know each other and then she was the new girl, right?
And then I was like the >> the new guy >> when she was trying to like like send out signals and be signals and send out her hard signals. >> I was struck. I like for a second I was like, "Oh my god, >> she's so nice. >> That's so nice." So, it's so real these like these reality dating shows like people are actually like she like that girl right now, she's with another guy on that show. They're about to get married. >> Yeah.
Like some couples are already married, but some like break up right after. Some actually end up getting married. >> So, you experienced it? >> I experienced it. This is nice. [laughter] I was like, yo, >> this is great. They're paying me to date. >> I was in my monitors like the director was like, all right, all right. You went too far. You got to stop. Got to stop. You got to stop. >> And you're like, >> I was like I was like, no, no, no.
Give me like give me like five more minutes. Let me just enjoy. >> Let me just enjoy it. Let me enjoy this date. >> Yeah, let me ask some questions. And then I asked him a question. I was like, "Yo, when's your birthday?" And I was like, "Oh, I'm March 20th." And the and the girl's like, "I'm March 21st." >> And you were like, "Damn it, this needs to end." >> All right. Yeah. Now, like, I actually need to cut it off.
Like, this is going too far. So, I was like, "All right, guys. Um, I'm just going to spill out the beans here. Um, I'm not one of the guys. I'm a host." So, I'm just Okay. I No. Okay. I can see I tricked y'all. And they were all like And the guys were like so relieved. >> Oh. So they're like, "Oh, >> they were actually pissed." >> I mean, I would be too. I was competing for 2 weeks and I think I've got my partner >> and this guy, the celebrity come >> in and just like Yeah.
No, like just take over. >> I'd be I'd be pissed, too. No, I understand that. But like you being in the moment of that >> Yeah. >> is just ridiculous. So these dating shows, like first things first, they're definitely real. I'm sure there's some that they have a general direction of where they need to be going. Like there's some games that they have to play. there's some rules and whatnot, >> but the the tension and the feeling that people's >> that's real.
I did that and and basically went back into com like just commenting on like just getting >> Did you feel a little empty when you went back to commentating? You're like >> I did and I told the directors I was like the next time I come back doing this I'm in there. You are not putting me like in the day I'm like commentating such like >> Okay. But do you also feel like it's so exposing cuz you're technically exposing like so much of your personal life and how you date and your dating style and like what if what if you do the show and people watch it they're like hey he's kind of toxic like what do you do and you didn't even know and you're like I thought I was just a I thought I was a good dude.
I mean I would say from what I know of you you're actually a good dude so you'd be fine. I'd be fun, but like if that was the case though, first of all, like your privacy being exposed is like it's also part of the gig. >> Like, you know what I mean? Like, so you kind of have to showcase that in in a in a bit. But >> for me, like, yeah. No, I'd be I'd be down. I'd be hella down. >> I also feel like you're like a generally pretty open person, so I don't see you being different. >> No, I mean, I like to keep it 100 for sure.
Yeah, that's why I'd be perfectly fine on like a dating show where like if I was doing something really weird or [ __ ] up like you know like if I'm being toxic or if I'm being like okay if somebody's saying like I'm being emotionally manipulative like yeah no comment that out like obviously like yeah you're going to get a lot of hate for it but it also at the same time it sparks conversation. >> It sparks a conversation for people to kind of really >> see like oh am I being like that?
So I'm kind of like >> sometimes you don't know >> exactly. I'm like the bad example if if I get people to start talking or to inspire people or like have people kind of think on themselves more like No, I'm willing to do that for sure. I've been through way worse. I mean the 300 trending searches of [laughter] people just unanimously like it can't be worse than that. >> It can't be worse than that. Canceling you before the show came out. >> So it's like it's fine.
Like I'm you know like you say whatever you want like but I'm just going to be me, right? Like obviously not everyone's going to like you. You're not meant to like everyone and not everyone's meant to like you. So, >> [ __ ] it. >> Yeah. >> Find me my wife. >> Exactly. >> [ __ ] it. >> So, like, [ __ ] it. Like, so I was telling the directors, I was like, "Yo, like when you put me back on the show, I need to be one of the guys in the thing, not outside of it. >> I want to be in the TV." >> Exactly.
So, that's how they get the guys. It's like people like throwing in portfolios. I low-key threw in a secret portfolio in there one time >> and they were like, "Wait a minute. This is you." >> Yeah. And they and they told me they saw it >> and totally ignored it. I was like, "Yep, that's going to that stack. He's not coming into this damn thing." >> Really? >> They won't let me in. >> Okay, we're gonna petition um we're gonna petition you to be in the next heart signal so you can find your wife. >> No, we have to do that.
We have to do that. Absolutely. It's just It looks so fun. Like cuz when you commenting like you're sitting there 8 hours, dude, >> on your ass and you're just watching them like do >> watching them do lovely things and you're like that could be me. >> Exact. Exactly. I was like what is going on? Why is why are they not putting me into that? >> They're scared for the other people on the show. Yeah, that might be it, too. >> Maybe they're they're they're just >> cuz I'm a very expressive human being, right?
Like I would express my feelings of affirmation like way too quick >> cuz the thing is like you're supposed to like you're supposed to be all about you're supposed to drag it out. You're supposed to like tell them that you're you're into them >> the last episode for me. It's the first episode. I'm already getting it out of the way. I like you. Let's start dating. I think that's why they won't let me. It's like they're going to be So what else are we going to shoot? >> No, that's the whole show is done. >> Yeah, the first episode.
Grand opening, grand closing. Like there you go. I do like to express love a lot. >> Oh, you do? >> Like with my friends or like with with my family. Hopefully with my significant other. No, I am >> hopefully you're like please >> please. I like I know. I'm very expressive in that. Like I I would say I love you. I would say all that. Like I would say it all the time. >> You're going to be on the first date and heart second be like, "Hey, I love you." >> That's exactly the why they let me on the damn thing. >> Crazy.
Just for shits and giggles. I hope they let you on so I can watch you fall head over heels for somebody and be all mushy. I I know I would. I I know. >> Yeah. It's so funny cuz you're actually mushy. >> I am like deep down. I knew >> deep down I actually am. No, I'm like lowkey a puppy when it comes down to it >> because your image and like the way you act is so like you you would think that you'd be like the guy that's like, you know, but you're not. >> Yeah.
I'm not. I'm really not. I get like puppy eyes like whenever I'm like if I'm like in like Yeah. I'm going to not go. This is what I mean. >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I think they see it. They're they're trying to like >> protect your image. >> Exactly. Like I come off as like a huge [ __ ] right? Like and like like But no, but like deep down like I'm like actually >> you're a lover boy. You're a happy dog. >> I am. >> So you know how like in all those dramas like all those sappy dramas where the guy will like drive 3 hours in the rain and put his jacket over her and like do all the You would be that guy >> and get rejected.
I'm not the main guy. I'm the second guy who would do everything for her. >> I AM THAT GUY. >> I'M THE GUY. I'M THE GUY WHO be doing everything for her and then she ends up with somebody else. >> No, that's so sad. Maybe they did cast the right character. [laughter] >> Yeah, I think >> maybe they saw it in you. Is this how people end up as second lead and losing their love? And >> that's why I'm always the second lead when the second lead is like either you're a comedy like you're a comedic relief, >> right? >> Or you're that the guy who's just >> doing everything >> doing everything.
Don't get me wrong, I I I [ __ ] with it cuz like you have more fun with a like with a second than a lead because with the lead, you have to carry on the story somehow like you can't go off track, >> but like you can do a lot of things. You can do a lot of side quests and whatnot. Yes, I think that's why they that that's why they they thought I was such a good fit. I'm like the comedic relief and at the same time I'm the guy who's like doing everything and basically like my best friend like STARTED DATING MY SISTER >> AND I didn't know about it.
That it was that was the >> hidden love. That was hidden love. He was my best friend. He's my little sister. And they started dating. I had no idea about it. >> And I had to find out the hard way and I punched him in the face and I was really hurt and I was like, "Why didn't you tell me?" You know how guys are like when they have a little sister >> and they're dating somebody and like like her older brother's like, "No, I'mma really put a test on you.
Like I'm going to really see if you're good enough to be my my little sister's like boyfriend." Right? I'm basically that. You are that protective big brother or protective figure because when you like when you love like when it's a little sister or your significant other or something, you will go not only the extra mile, the extra mile. >> Above and beyond. Yeah. No, for sure. And complain about it too at the same time.
But >> but still do it. >> But still do it. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Is there a skill that you had to learn for a role that you did? >> Um, yes. It's the boxing thing that I did. >> Yeah. Is that out? >> It's out. I mean, >> I'm just going to go watch it >> for that film. I had to train in combat in combat in well in combat sports in boxing specifically for three years. Part of it is because I actually do enjoy the sport. >> Right.
Right. Same. >> Boxing is really fun. It's good for you. It you lose weight quick. You look like you, you know, and I work out too. So, you don't have that like bodybuilder body. You have like that athlete body. Exactly. Which is good. >> And no, it's just fun. Like the thing about boxing is like I'm not even a pro boxer or whatnot, but it gets you focused. Mhm. >> It's one of those things where I think it trains your body and your mind cuz you do have to remember one thing.
Combat sport athletes, they're the hardest athletes. >> Oh, for sure. >> With them is that they're the most genuine and down to earth people. >> And you would assume that they're like just complete dicks, right? They're not. They're the nicest people. They talk softly. They're very disciplined. All they think about is whether like what what I'm gonna eat, not punch, and do not get punched. Right? That's all they think about.
So, it really humbles you. >> Do you think it's similar to like when you were talking about earlier about your dance training, how it was just like automatic? Like you hear something or something happens and it's like an automatic move. Do did you feel that way when you were training for boxing that it became automatic? >> Absolutely. Cuz we had to spar during our trainings as well. >> So, I mean obviously like we sparred with a coach and all that like it was under it was safe like you know we don't really go all out on sparring.
It's it's more for technique. I've been training like with with you know like your defense right like your your reactions and all that you know what I'm saying you're ducking you're slipping you know what I'm saying you block block block block block block block block block block block block you know what I'm saying >> so whenever somebody like plays a trick on me like in like just like one of my friends >> I like I genuinely tell them like a lot of a lot of my close friends actually know this like do not jump scare me or do not do anything >> because you'll reflect >> the reflexes it's going to come so quick the next thing you know you're going to have a bruise on your face >> that's crazy >> so that's why I can never go to an haunted house now >> you You know how they always talk about actors who like go so deep into their characters that they kind of like lose themselves.
Do you feel like this is kind of like a similar thing? How you know how you were like hey I was living with the boxers. I was boxing it all the time. I was studying them. I like you became part of that world and you got to understand them for your character right as an actor and you became a part of that world. Do you feel like in that same respect when people who play like the psychopaths or people who play they have to study and they have to become that and they have to get into the mind.
Have you played like a dark character or a bad character like that? >> I have um like whenever I talk to actors who are much older than me when I you know when I talk to them about like okay how can I get this emotion out without like really just hurting myself and just draining me out and I've tried it a couple times. It's the technique. M >> that's why the best acting always comes from you being coming from a natural emotion >> but you can control it with technique >> like what's something that's like this works for you to cry on Q if you had to cry on Q >> first things first is you drink a lot of water that day >> you chug water >> you start chugging water preferably with electrolytes so like the picari sweats >> yes >> the the mong why did I just say that >> I don't even know what that is I'm going to have to look it up now >> it's it's Chinese Gatorade >> well My technique is I just stare into one spot and don't blink. >> And then the tears start coming. >> I don't have to think about how sad I am now.
I literally done this like thinking about Snickers. I did like the scuba diving movie, the scuba diving rescue movie. >> And I'm trying to save my sister and she's almost dying, right? >> And I had to like kind of cry like when I came out of the water, right? I had to have the scene cuz I was like I was just hopeless and like I can't save my sister and she's going to die, right? >> Yeah. But I was so hungry at the time like cuz I didn't eat lunch.
Like I need sugar like and just like fatty stuff like in myself. I need calories in me now. But I have to do the scene before they they they let you go. They feed you like you go to dinner, right? And I was like [ __ ] >> All right. Let's just do it. Come on. Come on. Come on. All right. You ready? Give me like 30 seconds. >> I started staring in one spot. >> Stop like I stop I stopped blinking and I was like, "All right, bet.
Roll star camera. Let's go." Boom. It's a close-up shot. Done. >> Got my dinner. And I was literally thinking about Snickers and what I was going to eat for dinner. >> Okay. What about like the really emotional scenes where you have to be like and like you're like balling? Do you open like a little wound? >> I think a lot of it is just like control your breathing. Like you don't have to cry and stuff like that, but your face has to look red.
So you kind of have to hyperventilate. >> Oh, >> see that's technique. These are one of some of these acting tricks that like some of like the older like the older actors be telling me. I'm like I can't believe I actually now I think Hollywood's going to hate me for this. But >> cuz you know how everyone's all like preaching. They're like preaching like you have to hurt, you have to feel the care, which is what I've been doing.
I mean, you got to do both. You got to do both. But there's like physical things that you can do to kind of help. >> Yes. >> How do people make like you know those scenes where like their veins are bulging and their their skin is like >> right. So you have to actually hyperventilate. So you got to control your breathing. And then you know what? You know what the other thing is? Let's say you you it's going into like a real place like deep down.
If this is going to be the last scene of the day, yes, by all means be my guest, right? If I'm the director. If you have three more shots after this, how are you ever going to act in those with you just go having an emotional breakdown >> and you're just done for the day >> and you're a mess. Yeah, exactly. They got to they got to take you out of there. >> That's why you have acting coaches on set. >> They sometimes like if you can't control it yourself, they will come in and and help you do it like Yeah.
I mean, if it's the last thing of the day or if this is the only scene that you're going to be doing today, >> Yeah. >> Hell yeah. >> Have your mental breakdown. >> Oh, no. No. Go for it. Yeah. >> And just make sure you have like four more in you >> because you got to change the camera. >> Change the camera. It's just waiting there. You got to go back to You see that's also the thing because sometimes after the first run, you're not going to be able to get it out again. >> You can't. >> That's when technique comes in.
This is what I do. A lot of actors actually do this. Like we strategize on which take is going to be the emotional one and which are going to be the ones with technique. It's usually the mid for me that I go for like I'm going to actually have a real emotional breakdown. The close-ups, no. cuz you're just going to look like a mess. >> You're going to look disgusting. >> A lot of good acting is actually the minimalists, the subtle ones. >> Right. >> Right.
Those are the ones that are like like, you know what I'm saying? Like, so it's never the one that's like, oh my god, like I'm shouting. It's the silent killer. With Hidden Love, I'm still I am still confused why I'm I got casted as that role. I feel like it's because your look and who people think you are and your feel is actually I wouldn't say it's not completely you but there is like a completely opposite part of you >> right so it's that like >> just position >> exactly so it's like it brings out more dynamic you look like a dick >> right >> but you're not >> I just look cool but I'm not actually cool that's basically what it is >> that's why you can't go on a dating show you would be exposed >> oh my god I'm literally getting checked right now That's ridiculous.
[laughter] >> I feel like I couldn't I couldn't watch that happen to you. >> No, it's it's it's going to be bad. >> We're going to keep it. We're going to be keep it proud. I can't I can't watch that happen to you. >> But hey, I'm admitting it. I'm I could be a puppy sometimes if I have to. If she's the one if she's the one and she's dominant, she's like, "All right, you got to be a puppy for me." I would. >> You will w >> I would bark. >> Yeah. >> Oh my god.
No, actually, I probably wouldn't. That's too much. That's like Drake barking to >> the goth girlfriend. >> Oh my god. >> Is that a real thing? I keep seeing it on the internet. Yeah, it I think it is. >> Is that what you would be like? >> I wouldn't go to that extreme. >> You say that now, but if she was like, "Hey, I need you to bark. I need you to put on these [laughter] dogg ears." Your holy image gone. Don't go on hard signal for please for your own.
[laughter] >> No, I'm not going on hard signal. >> No. If they ever did that, I would call the show and be like, "Hey guys, you want to know a secret? [sighs] This is his type. This is the girl. Get the girl. If you if she says this, he will do it." The moment that I see you're on there, I'm going to call them with a tip. I'm going to sit there with popcorn and I'mma watch. >> No, my career is over. [laughter] >> Okay, I'm just going I'm just going to expose myself.
If she is the one >> Yeah. >> and if she's asking me to put on dog ears and bark for her. >> Yes, I would. >> I knew it. But you know what, you guys? This is a man. Why be ashamed to do the things that you're >> No. I mean like No, no, no. Like I'm not I'm not ashamed of it. It's like if it was caught on camera though. >> Oh, >> you know what I mean? Like I'm telling you this right now. >> Yeah. >> But when if you see it like just me like >> No, I couldn't watch it.
I I couldn't. >> I like if she is the one. Yes, I would. Like if it was like honestly like whatever animal that's I'll I'll do the hugs on a on the you know, I don't know. If you want me to be a T-Rex, I'll be a T-Rex. >> Exactly. Like you know, I'll be like if you want me to be a T-Rex dog, I'll just be going around dinard like you know what I'm Like I've been doing that. I'm cooked, bro. [laughter] I'm cooked. >> Because I know you're like this now.
Whoever you start dating, you have to bring in front of me and Amber. So we can literally be so for real and we can look and be like actually she's playing you cuz I feel like you wouldn't know. >> I really wouldn't. >> You wouldn't know >> cuz like once I'm in that zone like I'm I I kind of like >> Yeah. I'm blind when it comes to >> Yeah. You're blinded. If we tell you that there's red flags, are you going to listen or are you suddenly color blind? you won't. >> This is what I'm saying.
This is why like to whoever like my future significant other is just like please just love me the way I love you. Please like I'm not There are certain things that I'm just not going to see. You know what I mean? Like >> yeah, please be good to me. >> Please be good to me. Cuz like even like if there are red flags, right? Let's say what would be like potentially like a red flag just in general. Like >> like she starts cutting off all your friends around you.
So, you only spend time with her and she starts cutting off everyone around you and like finding problems with all of your friends like, "Oh, you know, you shouldn't hang out with him because of this. You shouldn't hang out with her because of this." >> Okay. Yeah, that's a red flag for sure. >> But then you would be like, "Oh, she's so sweet. She just wants to spend time with me." >> That's not healthy, though. That's like not a healthy relationship. >> That's not healthy.
Like, would you then be like so in the trenches that you you would have a hard time seeing that probably? >> No. I mean, with something like that. >> No, I would actually like I would actually have a talk with You call it out because that's Thank God. Okay. I was like, >> I'm not talking. You're not that deep then. Okay. Great. Great. Great. Okay. Okay. Okay. >> No, you still have to be reasonable. >> Yeah. Yeah. So, you won't cut off your your friends, but you will bark like a dog.
Okay. Great. Good to know. Okay. That's that's where we draw the line. I have a small activity. >> All right. Let's do it. >> Because you know, you being an actor, I won't let you leave without doing a scene. I need you to do this so seriously. I need you to be like so in your feelings, serious, pained, but I need you to read these lines and just act it. >> Oh lord. [laughter] Oh my god. This is OD. >> I need you to be so serious.
Come on. Pull it out. >> Okay, so I have to be I have to be sad. I have to be in pain. >> Yeah, you have to be sad and in pain. This is how you genuinely feel. >> I [laughter] was like look trying to get ready for a second, too. I was like, I saw I saw I won't look at you. It can't handle me. [laughter] >> You were doing something. >> I was doing that. I was doing that. I was doing that. I was saying [laughter] it can't.
Okay. Okay. Okay. We'll take your phone there. We'll take your phone number. Lock in. Lock in. Victor. Okay. I'll do this so you can't I'm I'm literally laughing. I'm ruining it. Okay. Okay. I'll be serious, too. We'll both act. I I never asked for this face. This jawline carved by the gods. Sharp enough to cut glass. Sharp enough to cut glass. Cut grass. Cut concrete walls. And people tell me this, Victor, it must be so wonderful.
But they don't see the way. Carrying this masterpiece I can't ever put down. And still after everything, I stay so humble. [laughter] >> I literally couldn't look at you. Has this been one of the hardest scenes of your life? >> Yes. This is definitely one of the like if this was like an actual like >> like if you actually had to do this as a character. >> I would. I mean, yeah. You know, if they pay me and I'm casted and yes, I would.
But if I was the audience now, I would hate this character though. >> Oh, for sure. >> It's like the most like pretentious, obnoxious, like >> Yeah. No, you're a piece of [ __ ] >> Like delusional piece of [ __ ] You have to say it in a tone where you're so serious about it and when you're actually in pain and you're saying this jawline carved by the gods sharp enough to cut glass. >> Correct. >> Yes. I might as well go [ __ ] myself.
[laughter] You know what I mean? Like this is like >> this is the hated character. >> Absolutely. Like he's so in love with himself. He he has everything and he's just I'm still in pain. >> I had to write something ridiculous for you. >> If this was a villain. Yes. This would actually be such great lines. >> How would you do this as a villain? A regular villain would be like just it's just your deep voice and you're just you know right like you think it's easy waking up like this. >> Every morning I look in the mirror >> and it can't handle me either. >> I never asked for this face, this jawline carved by the gods sharp enough to cut glass, right?
So like that would be like the signature villain sound like talking but like if he was like a weirdo villain, >> you would do it like the way I did it with the right music with and he's in like some weird clothes and he's just like that would actually be scary. That would be lit. You know what I'm saying? Like he genuinely believes he's beautiful. If Heath Ledger was doing these lines, right? Rest in peace to him. Such a [ __ ] amazing line.
Rest in peace. But if he did these lines as a Joker, >> it'd be crazy. >> Crazy good. >> I just can't do it cuz I don't have a pretty face. Like >> What do you mean you have a jawline? Getting >> old. No. Okay. I don't have a No, I don't have a jawline like bro like anime characters, bro. Like you feel me? Like if if if it was him doing this, >> yes, it's all in context. Like yes, if it was me doing this, yes, I I'm a [ __ ] But if it was, you know what I mean?
Like if you're in context, if I was playing another character who was a villain >> who genuinely thinks he's beautiful. He's the most beautiful creation and everyone else is just, it just sucks. And I'm putting on this humble act. >> I want to stay humble so I can get into your and then therefore I murder you. Boom. >> Did you just rewrite this whole thing? >> I mean, that's why like like if I I would imagine >> reading between the lines. >> Yeah. >> That's so cool that we just basically got to see into your actor brain.
That was kind of cool. We got to see into your actor brain of like >> a little bit. A little bit. Yes. So, do you character build like that? Like, would you break down the background of the character, who they are, yada yada yada, so that you you basically read between the lines? >> Absolutely. You have to cuz like the thing is like you No, I mean the thing is like the script is Well, again, a script is just a white piece of paper with ink on it, >> right?
It's it's not a living thing. But us as actors, we're humans. We're we're we're a living thing. So, like when you be acting, you want to do anything that's >> that's alive. If we're having a conversation, like we're sharing information either with the audience or we're sharing information with each other. So if you knew this situation already versus I'm just telling you this for the first time. It's a very different way of acting. >> How would that be different? >> So that's why you have to ask the director, right?
So like how are you imagining this? So like up until this point before this situation. >> Have we known that he's like this, >> right? >> Right. >> So let's say there's three people in this in the scene. So let's say I know about the situation, you know about the situation, but let's say that person might not. That's where it gives you space. Do we want him to have him know where we want to tell him later? Are we hesitant if we're going to share this?
See, that's where acting comes into place, >> right? Cuz the same lines are delivered so differently >> in different context, right? So like that's exactly what I was doing here. Like I mean think about it and still and still after everything I stay so humble like that could leg like low-key be a legendary line off of like a big time villain >> cuz he's putting on this act of being this humble guy, this great guy, but really he's this evil piece of [ __ ] >> right?
I mean, that's something that I always think about cuz every line it's there for a reason. You're trying to you're trying to either share a piece of information or like you're just showing the character himself. So they're like side talks, right? Like it's not every scene, every lines like has to be like a serious talk, right? It could just be like us just chilling, having a burger and just like having whatever. It just it just really depends where where you're at cuz I could be saying this in my bathroom at home or I could just be in like a pool of blood, >> right? >> And with dead bodies all all around me.
I'm basically upper Moon 2. Imagine Upper Moon 2 saying this. >> You know what? You're right. So this could be comedy or this could be >> something that's really serious depending on the context. So this could go Yeah. Like if it was me doing right now. Yes. I'm I know. I mean like I'm struggling on the inside. I'm like I'm like trying to get this out but like at the same time I'm telling like I'm such a [ __ ] right now.
Like >> I'm doing my best to like not look you in the eyes and make you know Exactly. >> I also love that we just made a bunch of anime references. >> Oh yeah. No. [laughter] >> Wait. I didn't even know you you like anime. I mean, I'm not like >> you're not like super deep in it, but you do watch like >> you know how they say like when you're arts, right? Like you're you're 2D. So, I'm like a 2.5D. So, I'm like between two like 2D and 3D basically.
I do like anime. If you're an Asian kid, like it's just it's like you kind of grew up with it. With anime, too, like I I don't know. I was just always fascinated by like the artwork, you know, like the toys and >> the statues. I'm like a huge collector in like >> toys and like merchandise. Like Yeah. No, I'd be I'd be doing >> Yeah. Our collection go crazy. >> Yeah. No, you have No, you have a crazy collection. I know you do actually have a crazy toy collection.
You got the cinemoral like you got like that crazy cineal line like that that cineal. Well, that's your favorite Samuel character. >> Yeah, I love cinnamon roll. Do you have a favorite Samo character? >> I do. It's Chrommy. I like >> You're Chromy. >> I like Chrommy. Yeah, I like I like Domo and Chromy and the fish that you know the one with the lips. [laughter] The one with the lips. I love >> I would have never expected that. >> But my favorite is Chromy for sure. >> Actually, you seem like a Komi >> cuz she like rides.
She's Exactly. And she rides bikes. She rides Harleyies. And it's just like it's just the coolest thing. The other like the angel side of her, which is my melody. >> Yeah. Right. Right. Right. >> I'm okay with My Melody. I'm I like But you know, people hate on My Melody, bro. People say My Melody is a [ __ ] >> What? >> Like she's a manipulative [ __ ] Like >> is this some Sanrio lore? >> No. Like I No, but like that's what like heavy San Real fans be telling me.
I don't know if that's a thing. I I don't know. They They said like Well, obviously like >> Hello Kitty's just the generic like main Right. She's the main character. >> Like you don't like she she's just a like a girl, >> right? She's not even a cat. >> Yeah. She's >> She's not even a cat. They don't call her She's not a cat. She's actually a girl from the UK suburbs who's four apples tall. That's how Sanrio like describes them as.
Like Hello Kitty has her own cat who's an actual cat. >> Dude, why do you know more about this? >> I don't know. Cuz I'm in Asia a lot. So like like in China and whatever, bro. Like Sanrio is huge and like a lot of people are really like they they they're religious about it too. They love that [ __ ] And then whenever you they they'd be like, "Oh my god, ew. You have a my melody." >> And you're like, "Why?" And they they tell you that. >> Yeah.
It's like, "She's such a bitch." [gasps] >> I'm like, "No, she's not." [sighs] And then there are times where like, "Oh my god, you like Cine Marl. I hate that dog." It's like it's a white bluish puppy. Like >> I'm just like, "Why you?" >> And you know, like they start, you know, the the bad charms. They have the long leg kitties now. >> I don't like them. >> They're popping right now. >> Why do they make the legs? I don't know.
I don't know, but you know the resale like value on it. The black Hello Kitty with the long >> the tan ones which is my favorite. My my favorite is the tan Hello Kitties. >> The tan Hello Kitties. >> Those are lit. She's like on vacation all the time. It just gives you happy vibes. You know what I'm saying? Like vacay vibes. Like for sure. There's a solid group of people >> who are actually really into like the Sanrio like universe. >> Yeah. >> And like they know everything about it. >> Okay.
I don't know everything about it. I only know cinnamon roll cuz I just love cinnamon roll. But I have I would say probably three to 400 cinnamon rolls. >> That's crazy. >> Is that actually crazy? >> Do you play with all of them? >> No, I mean they >> you just display them. >> I mean I display them and I move them around and sometimes I'll change their clothes. >> Okay. So you do play with them, >> but it's like 300 to 400 of them.
That's like a >> And they're they're like in shelves. They're like on my bed. They're like on the couch. They're just like they're living. >> Oh, so you have way more than what I saw you posted. I remember you posting something about it. >> Yeah. I know. I have way more than that. >> That's like a corner. >> Oh, that is just one little corner of my collection >> of cinnamon rolls. >> That's correct. >> That's insane. >> Wo. >> Oh, wait, wait, wait.
Okay, [laughter] that's Wait. 300 to 400? Like I You're talking about You got the big ones, too. Like >> Yeah, I got the big ones, the little ones, the keychain ones, all kinds of Yeah, I got them all. >> Cuz you know that's literally like lowkey bigger than this this space that we're in right now. Right. >> That's correct. >> I I thought you were talking about like like stuff like No, you're talking about the plushies.
You have 300 of 400 Cinnamon plushies sitting at your house. >> That's correct. [laughter] >> Your silence was so loud. Okay. >> I don't buy 300 400 of the same thing. >> They're not the same. They're all different. Okay. I have tan cinnamon roll. I got cinnamon roll. Different clothes. Okay. >> They're not the same. Okay. >> Cuz I'm thinking like you're Have you seen the movie Ted with the teddy bear? >> So it's it's literally like a bunch of this of the same thing just on a wall. >> I mean I mean they're all different.
Like I I've got like cinnamon rolls in like different outfits and different cultures with food, without food, sleeping, not sleeping. >> No, that's that's good. Okay. I thought it was the same cinnamon roll. >> No. Am I a psychopath >> and like all like well organized? >> Oh, they are well organized, >> but they're different. Okay. I thought it was like you had you had 300 more of like the same exact one. >> That would be mentally ill. >> And then like I you just be at home just >> I'm just like eat my cinnamon roll just [laughter] rock.
I'm like, I'm gonna play with you today. >> That's some freaky [ __ ] right there. Okay, good. Now, >> this is a horror film. This is start actually a horror film. >> We're gonna make a San Real horror film >> and then we'll have these lines in there. >> Yes. >> It's It looks like she He's talking to somebody, but at the end after the long shot, he's just talking to his wall of cineals. >> We're going to shoot this as a scene.
Start of a real horror. >> You get the slider. Pull it up. Pull it out. Long shot. It's just It looks like just >> so humble. >> And then the shot go like turns around to the back. Pull it out. Drag it out. And it's just a wall of cineals. >> I just got terrified. >> That's some freaky [ __ ] >> So, we're going to email San Rio. We're going to make a cinnamon. >> Let's do a cinnamal horror film. >> Horror film. >> Like some [ __ ] like we we we trap kids souls into like these like cinemal dolls like >> All of them are just souls. >> We're just collecting souls. >> Collecting souls. >> That's where they're all the same cinema roll.
We're going to make a pitch. >> Yeah. Don't hang out with creatives. This is literally what we do all day. We just come out of like random ideas and then we think it's like the greatest thing ever. But in reality, sometimes it is. >> Hey, sometimes it is. Sometimes it is. >> Sometimes. Yes. Okay. You come up with a really nice idea like you know the night of you wake up the next morning it's like yo that was [ __ ] >> That was [ __ ] >> But like >> we're going to delete it.
We're going to delete the whole thing. >> No. This is lowkey like lit though. Like if you think about it like a a thriller partnered up with San Rio and it was a horror film on like Cineoral and it's official. Yo, that's the pitch right there. That's a pitch right there. We We gonna talk to Sam real about this. >> No, I'm like kind of serious now. >> No, that'll be super lit, too. Like, >> we're gonna do a crowdfunding for this.
I'm like actually kind of serious. >> No, it's lit. We're doing thrillers now. Hell yeah. >> I'm telling you, you could do it in a low budget. >> No, you 100% can. You could do an Obsession type thing. >> Exactly. >> You guys, we just made a movie. >> Embarrassing fact, I couldn't actually watch Obsession. >> Okay. I've never seen Obsession. I haven't seen it yet. Well, what do you mean you couldn't watch it? Like, you had to stop.
I was going to go see it because one of the directors was telling me like on his his project, he wanted me to reference a bit of the acting from that film. >> Okay. For one of the characters, >> I watched the trailer and I read through it. I read I read like the summary of it. I couldn't actually go watch it. >> Wait, really? >> First things I'm really not good with just thriller in general. You know the movie Insidious? >> Oh, I can't.
There's no way. >> The first time I saw Insidious, I I was I was 14 15 years old. I couldn't sleep by myself for a for like 2 weeks. I got a sleeping bag sleeping in my parents' room cuz I was that scared after watching Insidious. >> That was me after watching Grudge. I had to shower with my eyes open for like a month. Imagine showering with long hair as a woman with my eyes open. I was like constantly tearing. There was like shampoo in my eyes and I was like, "It's going to get me if I close my eyes." >> Cuz you don't want to shut your eyes because you don't It's that moment after you open up and they're just right in front of you. >> Yes.
I literally could not. That's what happened when I when I when I first saw it when I was a kid, the old version. >> Oh no. >> The with the cloud eating kids because he came out of sewers, right? >> I couldn't shower like just like I had to have my brother. I was like, "Yo, brother, can you sit outside? Can you sit outside the door, please, and just talk to me?" I couldn't even wash my hands because everything that's water related that goes down to the drain goes to the sewage.
That's how he comes out and gets these kids. So, I saw that when I was like maybe like 10 scarred me for life. And like, you know what? There was some really screwed up anime when we were kids. Remember Detective Conan? >> Yeah. What's wrong with Detective Conan? >> There. Have you not seen the library episode? >> No. >> Old Detective Conan. You have to watch the vintage ones. How do you not know this? I'm going to put you on Emily. >> I never really >> No, like legit.
We are going to watch scary. We are like No, like before I leave LA. >> Why are two people who are scared of scary things going to get? >> No. No. I'm actually No, no. I'm actually being serious. Like before I leave LA, I'm going to get I'm going to put you on three episodes of Detective Conan. So I can be scarred for life. >> No, no, no. And we're going to watch it. We're going to watch it. We're going to get Amber in there. >> She also can't watch Scary. >> No.
So that's why we all have to watch it together cuz I can't watch it by myself either. I'm going to put you on. I legit couldn't go to sleep watching Detective Conan when I was in third grade in fourth grade cuz it was that bad. >> And why are you putting me on to this? >> Because you just It's It's a classic. Okay, you know Detective Conan, you've been watching the newer episodes, right? >> Watch the old ones when they're when they were actually solving mysteries like when they were actually on the Sherlock Holmes [ __ ] Cuz right now the titan code in right now >> it's like >> it's like it's not it's like it's not it's a different it's a it's a completely different show from what it used to be. >> Right. >> It used to be just like Sherlock Holmes [ __ ] The top three like scariest episodes of Detective Conan. >> There's the Blue Castle. >> Mhm. >> There was the library episode >> and there was the It was the mummified one.
I'mma put you on. >> Why you got to put me on something that's going to give me >> like you watch anime and like the thing is like you you don't know about like the vintage Conan. >> Oh my gosh. Okay, fine. for research purposes. >> For research purposes. >> And for shits and giggles and because I can't really watch it by myself and you can't and she and Amber can't. So that means we all have to watch it. >> Should we just like bust into her house today? >> Bust in her house.
We're going to put it on. It's like, yo, like we're just going to we're just going to eat cake and just watch this. >> Actually, you're right. No, I'm being dead ass serious. Um before the cameras turned on, we were talking about this. It's it's our friend's birthday. It's Amber's birthday. So, we're we're actually planning to bust into her house because she doesn't like to celebrate birthdays. and we're gonna go in her house with a cake and then we're gonna watch Detective Conan. >> Okay, fine. >> Let's do it.
Let's do it. It's on. It's on. Lock in. Lock in. Lock. Let's do it. Let's do it. Let's do it. >> So, we're literally gonna end the episode here and we're just going to go to Amber. >> We're just going to go to Amber. >> Okay. How do you feel about some cake and emotional trauma? >> Let's do it. Let's do it. Let's do it. Hell yeah. >> Oh my god. Emotional trauma. >> Emot emotional trauma. Hell yeah. That's that [ __ ] [laughter] >> Everyone who's watching, like, subscribe. >> Exactly. >> Follow Victor. >> That too.
And also follow Emily. Watch all of his embarrassing old things. >> I actually don't do that. >> Watch all of them. I'm gonna put um in the description all of his oldest, most embarrassing things. I'm going to request you for Heart Signal and Yeah, that's that's the plan after this. >> Let's do it. I mean, that's after Ambers though, like after. Okay. Let's do it.
