Hey everyone, Enders here with another video. Today, we are going to go over the Founders Pack announcement for Aion 2 and what this means for us ahead of the global launch in 2 months. There will be three Founders Packs available for you to purchase either on Steam or the NC Purple client. The cheapest bundle is called the Standard Founders Pack and costs $25. It includes 5-day early access, which also means access to the early access servers.
You can check my early access video on the channel to learn more about what that entails. You also get a Devas Campaign Supply Chest and a Vanguard of Atreia title for your character. The Deva Campaign Supply Chest includes 10 of each of the following items: Return Scrolls, Courage Scrolls, Speed Scrolls, Benediction Scrolls, and Absorption Scrolls. 100 Life Potions, 50 Life Serum, 30 Healing Potion, 10,000 Power Shard, and five Resurrection Spirit Stones.
Every one of these items, except the Resurrection Spirit Stones, are all available to buy from the General Goods Vendor NPC in all major towns in the game. So, if we take a look at how much that all is that you're getting in the Supply Chest in Kinah in game, a little under 250,000 Kinah for the General Goods Vendor items. As to what these items do, the Return Scrolls allow you to teleport to the Kabalists around the map.
The Courage Scrolls give you 10% combat speed for 5 minutes. The Speed Scrolls give you 10% movement speed for 5 minutes. Benediction Scrolls give you 10% max HP and 100 max MP increase for 5 minutes. Absorption Scrolls give you a shield for 1 minute that absorbs 350 damage per hit up to a max of 1,100 damage. And all of these Scrolls are pretty useful. You use them a lot, but you tend to also want to craft the superior versions of these using the base ones, which offer stronger buffs.
Life potions are auto potions that will heal you at set intervals. You can set these to activate at a set percent of your health, and they also have a 30-second cool down. Life serum is a standard potion that heals you for a set amount immediately, but is also on a 30-second cool down. Healing potion is an item that will cleanse one crowd control effect off of you other than incapacitated, but it is also on a 10-second cool down.
Power shards, when activated, will get consumed whenever you attack any enemy or monster, and that will make you deal 5% more damage. The superior version gives you 10% more damage, and the abyss version, which is the PvP version, that's 10% plus defense ignore when dealing damage to enemy players. Resurrection spirit stones allow you to resurrect on the spot in most PvE content, meaning you can continue to fight and not have to resurrect outside of the boss room.
And again, all of these items are, honestly, very common to get through normal gameplay. The Vanguard of Atreia title is supposedly a unique title or a yellow grade title. It seems to be a brand new title for global, so we don't know what, if any, of its effects are. Usually, these yellow grade titles are pretty strong. Titles in game can be acquired from multiple achievements. Unlocking these will give your characters passive stats.
You can also equip titles to activate their active stats. You tend to activate ones that you kind of need for your build. Say, one will give you more combat speed and cool down reduction for PvE, that's pretty good, even for PvP. This founder's pack title could be similar to that, or it could be a title with simply no stat effects. We just don't know right now. So, that's all that the standard founder's pack will give us.
Next, we have the deluxe founder's pack, which costs $50 and contains everything in the standard pack plus the ascended deva skin set and the eternal sun weapon skin set. These are premium skins on the cash shop that have no innate effects. They don't count towards your classic collection bonuses, and are basically purely cosmetic. The Ascended Deva skin costs around $34, and the weapon skin costs usually $13 or so. These are conversions for Taiwan and Korea prices when these were in the cash shop, so it might be slightly different for us in global.
I just don't know. For now, let's assume these prices are close to what we'll see. That means you are getting $47 worth of skins, plus the title, supply chest, and 5-day early access pack for $50. Not bad if you like the skins. Lastly, we have the ultimate founder's pack, which contains everything in the standard and deluxe, plus the Deva's styling chest, the Moonlit Aria skin set, the Black Dragon pet, and the Blazing Sun wings.
The Deva's styling chest contains a customization voucher and a 7-day appearance change voucher. We don't really have a customization voucher in Korea or Taiwan. That's a new item. Maybe it's a one-time gear dye voucher. I'm not sure. The appearance change voucher though, that's a 7-day expiration date as soon as you get it, and that allows you to change your character's appearance once. These can be obtained from events and the season trade shop for season coins gained through gameplay.
The Moonlit Aria skin has a different name in Korea. It has a winter-themed skin that also came out last year. Again, this is a premium skin, just like the Ascended Deva one, and that also costs $34, and again is purely cosmetic. The Black Dragon pet is a mount that is again a cash shop only mount. Pets acquired in game have passive stats, while cash shop versions, like the Black Dragon, do not have any effects. It normally goes for $20 in Korea and Taiwan.
The Blazing Sun wings are these golden fiery wings that are effectively a skin for your equipped wing. These cash shop wings usually go for $20 like just like the pets. And again, they don't have any effects. In total, if we look at all of the value you're getting from this pack, it's giving you about $121 worth of cash shop items for 100. And that's not too bad if you like the skins. Personally, the skin selection for these packs, I think is good, but there are much better skin releases for Ion 2 since launch.
And the latest pet, for example, on the cash shop in Korea looks way better than the black dragon pet, in my opinion. But really, it's up to you as to whether or not you like these skins that they're offering and you want them for launch. Keep in mind, you can only buy one of these packs for your account. You can't stack them to get multiple items. Um what you can do is if you decide you're going to play early access with your friends or whatever, you can buy the standard pack and then closer to full launch, if you decide you want to buy the higher bundles for the skins, you can simply upgrade for the cost difference.
You will get the items you're missing and won't spend any extra money than if you had just bought the higher value founder's pack from the beginning. They also have some notes here at the end regarding the founder's packs, which I think are worth going over. The first one says that the 5-day advanced access period does not stack. Purchasing multiple founder's packs will not extend your advanced access duration. This is in case you were buying the packs on purple and then on Steam thinking you could double dip.
It won't work that way. Refunds for founder's packs are also available prior to the official game launch. After launch, refund requests are eligible within 14 days, provided you have played for less than 2 hours and have not claimed any bundled items. And certain components of this product, meaning the founder's pack skins and all these items inside, may be resold in identical or similar forms in the future, which means these skins could come back on the cash shop 6 months down the road.
They're not exclusive to founders packs. Crucially, we also have a start date for early access with one of the last notes, advanced access begins on September 30 and runs for 5 days. The start and end dates are identical for all buyers regardless of when individual founders packs were purchased. This means if you buy the founders pack 2 days after early access already began, that does not mean you get an additional 2 days of early access because you bought it after it already released.
September 30 is almost 2 weeks later than what we anticipated early access to begin, but again, these dates are subject to change. Steam also has this date for advanced access, so it does seem maybe it's pretty concrete that September 30 is the real date. If anything changes, I'll let you know, and that's all for this one. Hopefully, this helped you decide whether or not these founders packs are worth it or not. Stay tuned on the channel for more Ion 2 related news and guides.
