If you want to grow faster on Tik Tok shop, I'm going to explain exactly how to do it. Because the truth is, if you are struggling to grow, you're probably just approaching Tik Tok shop with a nonoptimized strategy. Now, we've cracked the code with Tik Tok Shop and you probably buy from the brands we work with every day. And the secret is I reverse engineered what actually converts on Tik Tok shop for marketers and for brands.
The psychology, the content formats, and the offers for how to grow and monetize at scale. So, in this video, I'm going to give you everything to succeed on Tik Tok Shop. And there are four uncommon learnings for how Tik Tok Shop actually works. And these are the same lessons that all the big brands understand, but you may not. Tik Tok Shop is Meta's best friend for brands and advertisers. Let me explain what I mean by this.
You could spend thousands on paid ads, or you could get paid to have creators test creatives for you. On this channel, I talk about being different, standing out from your competitors, and your competitors all do the exact same thing. So, this actually lowers the playing field and makes it extremely easy to dominate your market. We use Tik Tok shop to do exactly this. We can test messaging and angles for literally free.
And when we find a winner, you as the brand or the marketer gets paid to do so. Most brands spend thousands on their creative testing on Meta when we just creative test through Tik Tok shop affiliates for free. I use a two-step framework to do this. The first is the actual education for the creators. If you just expect to sign up random creators and they're going to just magically produce banger ad creatives for you, you are doomed to fail.
We take all of these creators and provide them with swipe files and actual education for them to go through and then create our videos. And many times I see brands seed a ton of product and barely get any videos back. And the ones that do get back are some of the worst videos they have ever seen. Just like when you onboard a new staff member, you have to educate these creators about your products, the formats that work, the messaging, the outcomes, and what you are expecting from these videos.
Just listen to Kent, the co-founder from Neurogum right here. >> So, we make every single creator sit through like a 3-hour orientation every time they join. It's like a video that we record and we send them this notion and we know if they went through it or not. >> The biggest brands online are all doing this. It's one of the biggest unlocks you can leverage when growing your brand on Tik Tok's shop. The second step is a strategy called a curiosity hook.
It's a little 2 to 6 second change in your videos that will make the difference in a 100k month and a $1 million month on Tik Tok shop. In most videos or ads start something like this. A hook, a body, and a CTA. The viewer is trained. The brain recognizes this pattern. When your creators are making their videos, you want them to be scroll stopping and hack the attention of the viewer. A curiosity hook looks something like this.
Pattern interrupt, curiosity, and then the outcome. This completely disrupts the pattern of the scroll and hacks the attention of the viewer. If you want a full tutorial on hooks, you can check out this video right here. The algorithm rewards velocity, not virality. Everyone thinks Tik Tok shop is about going viral. It's not. It's about momentum. Tik Tok's algorithm prioritizes sales velocity, not views. That means if your product is doing 50 orders per hour across 20 different creators, you'll outrank somebody pulling in a million views with only five sales.
That's why you see overnight winners who never went viral. And just to break this down, I'm going to show you a few examples of how this looks. So, here we are on Oala and this is a Tik Tok shop brand that's doing about 3 million in Tik Tok GMBB. So, an example of this is we see one ad that says, "This green is so perfect." So, this creator is referring to the color of the bottle. We have another one which is talking about how cute it is, which is also referring to the color.
When we go to page two, we'll notice these colors are so good. And then finally, the colors are so cute. So the commonality is here the brand is educating not only the creators on what's performing, but they're also telling them exactly that these are the best formats that we've seen generate the most results. So they're having multiple creators have similar messaging so that way they can amplify their sales volume. So, let's look at what that looks like whenever you educate multiple creators to make these style of videos. >> Wala came out with the Disney collection.
This is the princess one. I ran and snatched the Tiana one cuz my daughter's obsessed. She loves the green is so >> Okay, so she's reacting to the color. Loves the green. Is obsessed. Now, let's look at another video from a different creator. [music] Okay, so this one's simple, too. It's an unboxing in the very beginning. And then she has these colors are so cute. Very similar style of video. This one's just not a voice over, but it follows the same format.
Video number three, same thing. Caption: This green is so perfect. Unboxing. Again, every single video is following the same style because the brand knows that these videos convert. So, they're having multiple creators make the same thing. [singing] >> Same thing once again. Oh my gosh, it's so cute. Obsess colors. All of these videos follow the same format, yet they're simple, but the brand knows they work. So, what they do is they make sure to blast out all of these formats to have creators make these videos so that way they can scale up sales and then replicate them in G&B Max ads.
Now, my third uncommon learning is influencers versus motion creators. Winning creators don't sell products, they sell emotions. The best creators aren't influencers, they're motion creators. They make you feel the product through action. The way they pour a drink, the way they describe a cut, a fit of a shirt, the way they peel open a product, just how we saw, the way they spray that cologne or perfume, and especially the way they explain the taste of a specific product or gummy.
Tik Tok's algorithm favors videos that trigger sensorary feedback. [music] It's not looking for someone holding a product and talking. It's looking for the motion that makes the viewer imagine the sensation. Just look at Celsius or Graza. Every viral clip shows the squeeze, not the brand name. The motion of the green bottle dripping on food sells the product. And with Celsius, it's all about the pop, the fizz, the flavors, and the nostalgia behind the emotion they're creating.
That's why every ad opens with some type of emotion and not just a logo. In Tik Tok's visual AI ranks clips based on engagement from sensory stimuli. When someone watches you pour, spray, peel, sip, they stop scrolling, even for half a second. That micro pause tells Tik Tok this clip is sensory. Sensory equals sticky. And sticky in the example of Tik Tok shop equals scalable. So stop scripting influencers and start scripting emotions.
And now my fourth uncommon learning is you don't need brand awareness, you need brand density. Most brands are still stuck thinking Tik Tok is about followers. It's not. It's about frequency of new brand discovery. Tik Tok doesn't care how wellknown your brand is. It cares how often new buyers are discovering your products in real time. And that determines whether or not they'll amplify you. That's why the Tik Tok shop sellers don't run just campaigns.
They build ecosystems. 10 to 15 creators posting daily, each hitting a slightly different pocket of the algorithm. Each video becomes a new discovery moment to the [music] same product. The algorithm sees hundreds of fresh new entry points and says, "Okay, this product or brand is everywhere. We need to boost it." Think of it like this. You're not trying to make one viral hit. You're trying to make 15 consistent ripples that overlap until they flood the feed.
The more surfaces your product touches, different hooks, creators, times a day, the denser your discovery graph becomes. And density will always outperform brands that get quick viral spikes. Brands like Tarte Cosmetics and Loom Deodorant are perfect examples of this. Loom deodorant, they run the same product across multiple different demographics. Gym moms, men's grooming, clean beauty. They are feeding Tik Tok creative density.
In Tarte Cosmetics, they have micro creators flooding. Get ready with me videos and first impression formats daily, making every scroll feel like the product just launched again. So, forget about awareness, forget about followers. Your job is to make Tik Tok think you're everywhere. You don't need a brand people recognize. You need a product that people can't escape. All right, so those are my four uncommon learnings on how to actually grow and monetize on Tik Tok shop.
To recap this, number one is Tik Tok Shop is Meta's best friend for brands and advertisers. Number two is the algorithm rewards velocity, not virality. Number three, influencers versus motion creators. And number four, you don't need brand awareness, you need brand density.
