welcome back Sydney got it mojo back today after a few stormy days everyone was out and for many things we're given the option to settle for the cheaper [Music] version or to spend more on the premium [Music] stuff I only drink coffee for the caffeine so the cheap stuff is fine but the place that I spend most of my working hours that's something I got to splurge on [Music] this setup is something I've dreamt of for a long time and would not have been possible without your support so thank you let's start once again with the foundation the desk I think I've always wanted a walnut desk or maybe I've been brainwashed that way H I don't know anyway the real thing is quite expensive so I tried making my own it came out decent but it just doesn't compare to the real thing so I reached out to Desy and to my surprise they were happy to give me a fat [Music] discount I've said it before and I'll say it again standing desks are a must if you need to work at one spot for a long time and this warn up finish is exactly what I've been looking for the other guys desy's dual sit stand desk comes with the usual four Pres sets can support up to 140 kg and comes with an integrated cable system that is easily accessible and to the left I've installed their optional drawer for any less frequently used [Music] clutter now let's move on to sitting on top of the desk is the bowo setup cockpit framing the workspace and organizing any other clutter this is a modular desk shelf that can be fitted with additional accessories to suit your preference for me I have a tablet stand cable holders and a large tray sitting inside three Walnut catch or trays to help hold any loose tools sitting beside the cockpit are below those speaker stands with the edifier m4s a laptop stand holding the same M1 Max MacBook I've had for the last few years and a MAG safe charger stand that also hides some cables for peripheral R I have the dark gray wool felt desk mat from Neo the same old MX Master 3 The Haven 65 and below it a walnut wrist rest from Etsy a new addition from Christmas was this Elgato wave mom which houses my old Shore sm57 microphone on the far left sits my airpods Max on the banks headphone stand and behind it my snake plant in a textured Ikea pot some other things that haven't changed is my monitor the Dell U 3421 we attached to a generic monitor arm helping me hide all those cables into the built-in compartments but the real mood comes from the lighting the lighting of the space is very important I've experimented with different styles and colors but I've settled on this two Phillips Hue bars and a lamp from Ikea all of these are linked to our Smart Home so I can light it up with the to of a button then to brighten the work surface the xiaomi light bar which has temperature and brightness controls last but not least the furniture my chair of choice is the Ikea Alf jawer mainly for the aesthetic but it's also decently comfortable paired with a footrest also from Desy and to make the space a bit Cozier I have the setup sitting on the Ikea Sten rug as well as the I can't pronounce shelf on the left hand side and if you're curious the wooden slots are from muffled Acoustics every [Music] sing [Music] Love so my mother get AR rest you working like I never knew I'm bless you every single day I feel the pressure diamonds in my speci in the gy I got to get my in the gy I got to get my rep up
