subscribers. Again, 1300 videos. And these are mostly him just talking, not really doing anything, not much editing, not much B-roll. Anybody could make this video. Literally, anybody could make this video. You can edit this yourself. You can hire out an editor. He's not really editing them. Again, either it is

will make. So, there's generally a four-step method that will work for this strategy. Number one is strategic YouTube content. And do not post short-form videos. Other creators might tell you to do that, but if your goal is to make money and especially like evergreen income, don't start with that, please. I've seen it

[Music] it's Thursday I just got to the office here and I set this goal like last week of like oh I'm going to film a video a week and then it's Thursday and I haven't even filmed anything yet so I feel like all I've done is like work so far and that's like not super interesting so I got to get better about just like sharing the things I'm talking about and thinking about and and all that with you guys I had this like horrible realization today um when I was coming into work here

[Music] it's Thursday I just got to the office here and I set this goal like last week of like oh I'm going to film a video a week and then it's Thursday and I haven't even filmed anything yet so I feel like all I've done is like work so far and that's like not super interesting so I got to get better about just like sharing the things I'm talking about and thinking about and and all that with you guys I had this like horrible realization today um when I was coming into work here I'm like getting Freedom was something that I've been chasing for years and you know at 24 I left my day job and now I've been building this business and you know getting to the point where I don't have to work as much and now I'm voluntarily being one of the first people in this co-working space here it's one other person on a phone call right there I'm volunt you know working at a desk which was something that like I've always like oh I could never do that so many things I I thought I would want in my life are just wrong it's been [Music] weird all right so I guess it's probably a good time to actually tell you what the different businesses uh that I'm working on actually are so first one is my my main one that I've been doing for 5 years and that is YouTube um you know it's half a million subscribers at this point I've got like five employees that are part-time but it's very much turned into um a business with with different revenue streams underneath of it one of the offshoots of that business is my 5our YouTuber course that one uh I've been doing for like 6 months now um I'm not sure how how big that can be because of the portion of the um like the portion of my audience that is into YouTube um so I'm kind of taking a step back from that a little bit I'm not trying to sell it or anything right now you can't buy it but that's one kind of offshoot of the main business that I tried this year then uh I'm also creating a community around Financial minimalism now like communities are really popular right now and honestly like I don't love the name Community but it's kind of like um I meet these people who into Financial minimalism which is this idea of like um you know really simplifying your finances to spend you know your time and money on things that matter and all of us have like read the same books we listen to the same podcasts we do the same thing financially we budget the same way we have the same goals and there's not like a great place for those people to like hang out and get to know each other um so I'm going to be building I actually partnered with somebody I was just on a call with him um to kind of build out this community Community cuz I think that's something that I would have liked and will be really valuable for people um and it's not going to be expensive at all we're trying to cheap it like um really cheap so it's something something you just like want to be a part of and it's not really going to be like a huge business or anything but um that would be another another like offshoot of the business I guess um but that one again is tied to me personally which I don't love and that's where the next business comes in so business number whatever we're on is um an app that I am co-founding with somebody so um I guess I'll I'll tell you the more in-depth Story another time maybe but um pretty much somebody reached out to me they they're creating this app for habit tracking and also has like a social aspect to it and um wanted to know if I would partner so I am kind of like co-founding this where um I'll help Drive some traffic to the app um and and help with marketing and things like that kind of things that are in my wheelhouse um and they'll do more of the development side of things so um that would be something where my face wouldn't be attached to it and it would also be you know it's like a startup so something that could eventually sell that being said like 90% of startups fail so there's a really good possibility that this fails I've never done anything like this before um but it definitely has a lot of upside I think it's a really good idea it could be a positive impact on a lot of people I would use it myself um and that's why I kind of AG agreed to um to do this so the main point of of this channel is following all of these threads giving people like inspiration and inspiring them but also like for myself to kind of see what's going to happen in a couple years like I don't really know so you know looking back for myself I don't think many people really share a lot of behind the scenes businesses stuff so U if there's more stuff that you guys want me to talk about let me know I got to go to the next meeting I don't know why but this shot looks like so cool the reality of business at least like you know my type of business which is probably most people's which you're going to like work from home you're going to work in an office you're going to do whatever it's pretty boring and like we see these people these these other creators um watching like Daniel dalan um and his life is like you know super exciting and flashy but but not everybody's as like that especially at the beginning if I look at like the first 3 or 4 years of running my YouTube channel I was working full-time uh multiple part-time jobs and starting a YouTube channel and like literally it was just work from the moment I got up to the moment I got to bed and none of it was like sexy none of it was working I wasn't making any money and that's what the reality of most businesses are and I think as I continued to push through that and I finally saw some success in the past couple years that's where it's allowed me to start some more you know exciting businesses learn new things be able to travel more be able to um you know do more things from the experiences that I've had but I think a lot of us think that oh business is like this flashy um fun thing or entrepreneurship or whatever um but a lot of times it it's just a a grind it's like that that saying of like I would rather you know work 80 hours a week for myself than work 40 for somebody else and it's kind of true like I don't mind going to an office every day like I'm not there today but I don't mind going to the office because I get to choose to be at the office I get to choose to go home I get to choose to do whatever the heck I want I can choose to take a month off whatever I want to do and um that's really what this whole like Financial minimalism and entrepreneurial lifestyle is all about at least for me it's building up something that allows you to have freedom to pursue what you want and you know for some people that might be surfing on the beach and you know traveling or having a farm and for me I want to you know start and run successful businesses um and you know make fun videos and stuff like that like this is what's fun for me um so this is what I'm going to do so if you are on this path of becoming a entrepreneur like seems like a fun idea to you um most likely at the beginning it's going to be on the nights and weekends it's not going to be the sexy fun stuff that you see in Vlogs um like even most of this week you see you know 5 10 minutes of it and the other you know 20 30 hours which is just me staring at a laptop but I will say if you are that type of person who who going to a 95 is just like like not really an option then even though this is you know hard in different ways it's more responsibility it's maybe more risk more stressful there's also like infinite upside so um yeah that's just what I've been thinking about today shooting a video for my main Channel and uh doing more work on my laptop and uh I'll catch you guys next week
