Did you know that Will Smith completely messed up Deadshot? >> Don't ask nobody no question like that. >> the first time in his career that he was playing a villain, so he didn't hesitate to shave his head for the role. And since Deadshot is supposed to be the world's greatest marksman, he even underwent firearms training with Navy SEAL soldiers. Everything was in place for him to become a real-life Deadshot, except that once he got on set with the rest of the cast, his attitude completely changed.
For starters, instead of hiding his face behind a mask, Will Smith reportedly pushed for his face to remain clearly visible on screen. Then, he allegedly pressured the studio to reduce the Joker's screen time so he could remain the movie's main star. insisted on portraying Deadshot as a loving father while constantly acting as the group's moral savior. But, the worst part is that on top of his $20 million salary, he was also receiving box office bonuses.
So, in order to maximize ticket sales, he allegedly pushed for the movie to be toned down by reducing the level of violence and making it more accessible to general audiences. As a result, Suicide Squad was a massive failure. His planned Deadshot solo movie was canceled, and he was even replaced by Bloodsport in the sequel.
The words are the caption track's own and nothing is reworded or re-transcribed. Paragraph breaks are placed between sentences so the text reads as prose.
