Anthropic just dropped something that changes how you work with AI. You can now control your entire desktop from your phone. With no setup required, no code, no open claw even required. It's called Claude dispatch. Let me show you exactly how to set it up. So, a few days ago, I showed you how to set up an open claw so that you can control your device using your phone and Telegram. But, some people said that's a little too complicated.
And I think Anthropic heard that because they officially just released an open claw competitor. It's built directly into the Claude app. You just tap one button and your phone becomes a remote control for your entire computer. This is getting very close to what open claw does. It's not exactly the same. Open claw is still open source and more customizable, but Claude dispatch is plug and play. Literally, anyone can set this up in under 5 minutes, and that's exactly what I'm going to show you today.
You tap on the top left menu, and there you go. You'll see dispatch. Tap it. And on the screen, you'll see two options: email desktop app link or pair with your desktop. If you already have the desktop app installed like I do, then you can click pair with desktop. If you don't, then click email desktop app link and download the desktop app on your device first. But, in my case, I already have the desktop app installed, so I'll just click pair with your desktop.
From there, it'll give you a set of instructions. Number one, make sure you have the Claude desktop downloaded, which we do. Sign in under my email, which I am. Go to the dispatch tab on desktop and complete the setup. And just like that, what I'm going to do here, you go to co-work, the co-work section, and you'll find dispatch over here. Then, you'll click get started. I'm signed in on my phone. And this is where you choose your options.
Give Claude access to your files. This is important. Keep this computer awake. This is also important. Install Claude in Chrome. Make sure this is installed, so let's go ahead and do that. And just like that, I'll click add to Brave, add extension. And that way, Claude will be able to log in on Google Chrome or on Brave and be able to operate. I'll go ahead, click continue, and just like that, authorize, and boom. We are in.
And once you do that, you click done on your phone, and you should literally now be able to control your desktop from your phone, from the Claude app itself. Took me what? About 90 seconds. That's literally the whole setup. Now, let me show you what this actually does. So, I'm on my iPhone right now, and Claude is connected to my MacBook. I'm going to type a prompt, and you'll watch my Mac screen respond. So, let me tell it go to Safari, go to Polymarket, and check the current Bitcoin price market.
So, I typed in go to Safari, go to Polymarket, and check the current Bitcoin price markets. Uh I'll just send it, and you can see it's already on my desktop. There should be no keyboard, no mouse required, no having to actually be on my desktop. Now, with the first prompt, you'll want to make sure that you've given all the requirements that Claude needs. For example, here we haven't given it this requirement, which is the screen record, so I'll go ahead, open it again.
Go to dispatch again. And now it has the access that it needs. I've literally given it all the access that it can get. And let's go ahead and copy paste the same prompt again now that we've given it access. There it is, back on the desktop. So, now we just wait and watch. There you go. It's literally in real time opening up Polymarket on my desktop, and it's starting its search just like I requested. It's typing Bitcoin price.
And there it is. It's sending me this message. Here is what Polymarket's Bitcoin price on March 27 looks like. Uh and it sent me everything that I basically asked for on my phone. I'm taking control of my desktop. It's literally that simple. Here, let's try another thing. Let's tell it open terminal, create a folder called test dispatch on my desktop, create a text file inside it that says hello on my phone. And let's send it this.
Let's go and check on Claude. There it is. There's the message. And I mean, there you go. I literally don't need to do anything else anymore. I can now fully control my desktop from my phone. Oh, look. Would you look at that? Let me drag this into the view. It opened this window, and it opened my terminal. Done. Terminal is open, and I've created test dispatch with a text hello on my phone inside it. Now, how would I actually use this?
Here are a few scenarios. Say you're in a meeting. You need to run a script on your desktop. You just pull out your phone, type the prompt, and Claude runs it for you. You're away from your desk. You need to check something in a dashboard or pull a file. Same thing. You want to kick off a long-running process before you go to bed. Open your phone, send the prompt, and done. For me personally, I can send prompts to my AI agents running on my Mac from anywhere.
That's the real unlock. Not just browsing, actually running things, building things, automating things, all within the power of your own phone. Being able to be anywhere in the world. Now, is this going to replace open claw? I don't think so yet, but it's getting very close. I mean, open claw is still more powerful for complex agents, automation pipelines, multi-step tasks. But, for quick remote control for people who don't want to install open claw and go through the 30-minute setup, Claude dispatch is the easiest on-ramp to computer use I've ever seen.
If you're already on Anthropic, you have this right now. So, go try it. That's it. That's the full setup. Took like 90 seconds. Costs nothing extra if you have Claude. So, that being said, subscribe if you want more of these as Anthropic keeps shipping. They've been moving really fast. I'll see you in the next video.
