Literally, anybody could make this video. You can edit this yourself. You can hire out an editor. He's not really editing them. Again, either it is

Other creators might tell you to do that, but if your goal is to make money and especially like evergreen income, don't start with that, please. I've seen it

This one video changed my life. And this video right here could be the thing that changes your life. I know that sounds kind of crazy, but it's true. Now, I honestly think that you cannot fail when it comes to YouTube. And I want to give you a couple of reasons why. Not only can it completely change your life, allow your wife to leave her job, allow you to buy your dream house, your dream car, travel the world, and every time you come back, you have more money than you started with. You get to talk about what you love all the time with other people who also love those things. Escape the job that you hate. So, not only can

So, not only can I do all of that stuff, which I am incredibly grateful for and I'm just like so thankful to my past self for just taking a chance for starting this. Not only can I do all that, but besides that, even if none of that happens for you, YouTube has made me a better person. And I know that sounds like maybe like too extreme or a little bit like much, but hear me out on this.
This is eight sheep right here. It's so soft. Anyways, if I think about the times when I was happiest in my life, it was when I was growing, when I was learning new things, I was stretching myself. I was accomplishing things. I felt like, you know, like a month ago, I wasn't as strong as I am now. I wasn't as smart as I am now. I'm learning these new things and I'm like, "Oh, there's new possibilities and ideas." And when you feel that like growth, you feel excited about life.
At least I do. And that's when I'm proudest of myself. When I look back and I'm like, "A year ago, me was kind of an idiot, but I'm much smarter now because I've read, you know, six more books. I've learned new skills, and now I just wouldn't make the same decisions before cuz I've grown as a person." But I've also had times where I've like I haven't really grown. I stopped reading books. I stopped learning new skills. and then I just like don't feel like I'm really accomplishing anything.
I'm just like kind of treading water. I'm not really happy. I'm not proud of anything that I've done. And so for me, YouTube has been the thing that has brought a lot of joy to my life besides all that other stuff, the money and the freedom and being able to travel and you know time and location freedom been a lot of good things. But on top of that, when you teach people things, we all know this, you have to understand it well.
And so because you know on my main channel I talk about habits, I do book reviews, I talk about personal finance and investing. I am forced to learn about those things or I will run out of video ideas. So I am forced to grow as a person. In fact, when I started that channel after four or five videos, I literally ran out of ideas. I said everything I could think of saying and I started doing book reviews and then I was forced to for the past seven years continue to grow and learn new things every week because otherwise I'll just be out of ideas.
And so that's how I got into minimalism and I became one of the top minimalist creators was because it forced me to learn about that to grow. And then even my product review channel, I've gotten so much more into health and wellness and understanding it and listening to podcasts on it and just doing things myself because I review saunas and cold plunges and therefore I need to know what the heck I'm talking about. And even with this, I've really studied a lot when it comes to YouTube.
Like a lot, like probably too much. I study all this because if I'm going to teach it, I need to understand what I'm talking about. If I'm going to do live things where I'm answering questions, I need to really understand what I'm talking about and therefore I've spent tens of thousands of hours studying YouTube and making hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of long- form videos so that I can understand and help other people do the same thing, you know?
And so that's like kind of the first reason. It forces you to grow as a person. It forces you to learn, to improve, to gain knowledge, to learn new skills. And when you do that, you feel more confident. Feel like, "Hey, I learned that thing. I learned how to edit. I learned how to do sound. I'm proud of myself. I learned a new skill that I didn't know last week and therefore like I'm just kind of happier along the journey, right?
That was such a fun time. But then it also forces you to step out of your comfort zone. Believe it or not, most people the first thing they notice when they meet me is that I'm super quiet. They mention that quite often is like, "Hey, you're so much quieter in person." Like, yeah, I'm super introverted, pretty awkward. I don't talk a ton. I'm okay with that. That's just kind of how I am. I'm generally quiet in person.
But I am now decent at public speaking. I am now decent at talking to a camera. I can if I want to hold a conversation pretty well and like talk better because I have practiced at like turning on a camera. I'm looking at a lens right now. Nobody's good at that naturally, but I think it is one of the most valuable skills you can literally have. Like content creators earn more than like celebrities at this point, the top do, but even some of the lower level ones that you've never heard of are making insane insane money.
And so this skill of talking to a camera is extremely valuable. Even the psychological skill of like, I suck at this. This is really hard. I'm cringey. I'm embarrassed of myself. I hate editing cuz my voice is terrible. All that stuff, which I didn't realize I had a list until I started editing myself. And like you learn a lot about yourself. But then you do it anyways. Yeah, it's hard. It's awkward. It's weird. Do it anyways.
Doesn't matter. And when you do that hard thing over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and there, it's not hard anymore. You're like, I could do that other thing. because of the kind of confidence that I have built from YouTube, I've been able to start other businesses because of like I've done that hard thing and that's even like why I cold and stuff is just because it's hard not for any other benefits.
It's just because it's really hard to do and I want to practice doing hard things. And so if you feel like I want to do YouTube, but I'm so awkward, I'm so cringey. I don't know what to talk do it anyways. And if you do that for like a year, your confidence is going to be crazy cuz you're like, I did that hard thing. I didn't want to do it every single time and I still did it. And now when it comes to that next business, when it comes to starting something else, when it comes to talking to that person, when it comes to whatever, I have that confidence cuz I can do hard things.
Even if my body doesn't want me to do it, my brain's like in self-defense mode, I force myself to do it anyways. And you become again a better person, a better version of yourself because you're forcing yourself to do hard things. The skills related to YouTube are completely transferable. Because I got good at making YouTube videos, I got videography gigs making like 600 bucks a day. I got acting jobs making like thousand plus dollars a day.
I got to host a show for Rocket Mortgage that paid like crazy good money. I got to make ads for people that have nothing to do with my personal brand. Even just like the skill of editing is incredibly valuable. I have a friend who got offered $300,000 a year to edit for a large YouTuber because he was confident that he would make more than that editing for himself and now he is. I have a standing offer for six figures to host channels for brands.
Like I'm telling you, if you can get good at talking to a camera, you can get good at making videos, you can do product shoots for brands, you can manage their social medias, you can host content for brands, you can make your own brand, which is probably like the best value, like the highest ceiling. But like you can edit for people, you can do strategy, you can do thumbnails, you can do marketing, everything related with YouTube is a extremely high value skill.
Not right now, you're going to suck for like a year, but in 3 years, in 5 years, if you study really hard for 3 years, I'm telling you, it is so possible. Like I helped someone last year go from zero to 15K a month just by actually like implementing some of this stuff because it's valuable. On top of that, YouTube helps with community. Feel like we're all very isolated in general. Like there is a loneliness epidemic that is happening right now.
And YouTube is one of the things that allows some community. Like I don't know anybody who's really into minimalism. Very few people who are into finances. Nobody personally who is into YouTube. And yet I have hundreds of thousands of people and I've gotten to meet dozens of people who are into those exact same things who get to nerd out about the same stuff I do. We hop on phone calls. They send me DMs. Like I get to talk to people who are obsessed and passionate about the same thing I'm passionate about and we can build a community, become friends.
I meet them in real life and we hang out together. And that is all through YouTube. And so even if you are worried about like what if this doesn't work out I don't think you will ever regret 20 years from now 10 years ago like I took six months of my life I took a year of my life and I tried something really hard that had the possibility to change my life but minimum will force me to grow as a person get outside my comfort zone explore new things learn like I don't think you will ever regret that if you give that a shot and I really hope that you do give that a shot if you're thinking about getting started I have a free miniourse that is linked down below it's kind of the basics of YouTube to get started.
And if you want to take this seriously, I'm about to open up my next cohort of the 5-hour YouTuber, where I teach everything a toz on how to get started, how to actually make money in proven ways on YouTube. I only open the doors three to four times a year. We actually just updated a bunch of stuff in this, so we added a lot of new things. So, if you want to take this seriously, you can join the weight list down below.
But either way, try making a video. Try making 10 videos. Commit to something. Commit to a time period or amount of videos. It can literally change your life. It did mine.
