Hello everyone. The Nuts Mindset Project. Today, I'm going to be giving you a masterclass on lurking in Valorant. Tip number one, understand why do you need a lurk. Lurking is overall is going from the flank against the enemies in attack side most of the times. What do I mean by understand why do you need a lurk? Because you need to understand the way enemies playing against you. If you play against enemies who don't over rotate, you're not going to be able to lurk.

You're going to always face a lot of people. Understand which timings you need to do it, understand how the enemies rotating, and understand do you even need to do it. Because sometimes in certain compositions, you can just go with a team and you don't really need a lurk. The moment people knows that you always with a team, now they're not going to expect you on the lurk. So, you can try after that moments to start going to the lurk and try to surprise them more often.

Tip number two, don't lurk every round. Let's imagine we're going towards elbow and the team is going towards A. And imagine we find a kill here. We kill the guy on top middle. Then we won a round and again they finished on it. Next round, we're going towards B and we managed to find a kill towards B. So, two times in a row we lurked and we find a kill. Why I'm saying don't lurk every round because now people is going to expect you and there is no value from that.

It's going to be way harder for you to find a timing because no matter what their rotation is going to expect you there. So, that's why make sure to understand how you play against enemy, being in their mind, and don't over lurk. If you don't know who I am, here's a quick Not really going to get away with anything for now. How? No, no, but not No, but how? How? How is he there? How How is he there? I don't understand.

How does he manage to do that? And oh, he's going to get a kill on Victor. What is this man doing? That's is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever seen. This guy, he's defining the word flank. So, he's going to flank? I don't understand. >> up behind them. This is absolutely obscene. Oh, G2, my heart goes out. You are playing Gambit's game at this point. He's even come on he's come up behind for the third kill.

He's come up behind for the third kill. How How has he managed to do that? Tip number three, you need to learn how to survive under. No matter what lurk you do, it can be wider, it can be shorter. You need to learn how to survive. For example, we're looking here and we managed to find the a kill here. We don't need to go and run and die to the enemy instantly because you just going to lose the whole map control you have.

So, that's why you need to make sure the moment you managed to find a good lurk, you need to survive and win time for your team. Tip number four, how to lurk as a sentinel. There is two main things you need to remember about the lurking on the center. First, since you are a sentinel, you are the one who is a gathering the information and making sure that the no one is going to push you in a tuck. So, that's why for example, if your team is going towards B, you need to put a trap for the team.

So, they will know that no one is going to be flanked. But imagine you don't have a trap or your trap been broken already or you are playing as a killjoy and you don't have a range. In that case, you need to provide a good communication to your team. You need to speak to them. So, in that case, they're not going to going to be flanked or at least they are going to be aware about that. Second since we are lurking [clears throat] as a cypher or I don't know any sentinel, remember that people is going to expect you to lurk since if they don't see on the execution sentinel, they know that he's most likely lurking.

So, that's why make sure to not lurk too early. Tip number five, how to lurk on a duelist. Don't lurk on a duelist, especially if you are a solo duelist in the team. Tip number six, how to lurk on an initiator. On initiator, you most of the times don't really lurk, but the moment you lurk, that means the moment you are faking. Imagine you want to fake B and your teammate is going towards A on Pearl. Imagine you took A main and you keep your people here and you want to just go and fake B with the Astra star, for example.

So, what you do, you come towards B long, you use your drone as a Sova, you clear all of the stuff, right? Your drone is finished, your team execute towards A and now you are deciding to lurk or not. Either you go back with your reveal and play here, or you play very late and try to catch a timing and after you catch a timing, you can fall back again to your team. So, basically, on initiator, you only lurk after a fake step that been done by you.

I see a lot of people trying to lurk, but not getting any value from that. Here is 15 tips for you how to master lurking, no matter what rank you are in. Tip number seven, how to lurk on controller. Depending which controller you play, but controller is also a very popular role to the lurk. The most important thing you need to remember that the moment you lurk on controller, you still need to provide the smokes to your team, no matter which controller you play.

Imagine we're going towards A and as a Astra, you want to lurk towards B. Imagine you are here. You still need to provide the smokes to your team and you still need to remember that you need to have a pool for the spike to help the team to win the clutch. And that's also goes to the, for example, Omen. As Omen, you also can go to lurk, but let's say you don't have Omen blind. So, you don't need to be on execution, you can just go for the lurk.

On Brimstone, you can do the smokes from the other part of the map. So, that's why remember the main important rule for the controller, you need to provide smokes to your team the moment they want to execute somewhere. Tip number eight, learn how to gain information on the lurk in a safety way. What do I mean by that? Let's imagine we're lurking towards A main. Our teammates waiting information from us. Let's say they're doing mid default and they're already wide here and they already took B main.

So, they're expecting from us to give them information. Do we hear any vice abilities on A? Do we hear any kill joy abilities on A? Do we hear them over rotating? But, what do I mean by safe mode? That we're not going aggressive, right? We're still not going out. We're still trying to stay and we're just listening and we're waiting until the good timing for us because either we're just going to over take the team back to A or we're just going to let them go towards B and we'll just go as the lurk from the flank and we'll just kill everyone from heaven or from any position we'll be in the future.

Tip number nine, avoid lurking on anti-eco. Why do I say avoid lurking on anti-eco? Because imagine we're playing against pistols, right? We won a pistol round and we're playing against shorty, bandy, sheriff, a lot of different pistols. And if you're just going to buy accident make a mistake on a lurk and there is a big opportunity to make a mistake because on anti-eco sometimes people don't provide a proper picture what's happening on the map, you're risking to give first of all your gun to the enemies, you're going to lose your armor, and you're going to give them the gun that they have opportunity to win the round with.

So, I would say try to avoid lurking on anti-eco. You can hold the flank, but I don't think there is a lot of sense to go to what the aggressive lurk to try to get the kills. Write down in the comments why you feel your lurks are not working and I'll try to help you with that. Tip number 10, don't die early on a lurk. Let's imagine we're playing bind on short. Our team is going towards B and we managed to find a kill towards A.

If we're just going to run now towards A and we're going to try to take a random fight and we die, now enemy knows that there is no more people towards A. They know everyone is towards B. They killed the lurker. So, there is no more point to be aware of someone coming from flank. But, imagine you get that person and you just stay alive, they now are going to be scared that you still can go flank, you still can go back to the team, and they are more scared to rotate, to take the TP, or I don't know, take that rotation because you can be anywhere.

So, that's why make sure to not die very early on the lurk. Tip 11, learn how to passive lurk. What is passive lurk? Passive lurk is, for example, our team is going towards B again, and we're just waiting here. We're waiting until they're going to push us. We're not going to be very risking and going very far, right? We're just waiting here, we're getting one, and we're just staying more passive, we're falling back towards the team.

This is the passive lurk. So, that's why make sure to learn and to have it in your play style also. Tip number 12, learn how to aggressive lurk. We take the same situation, our team is going towards B, but this time, instead of sitting passive, we're going to go very aggressive, we're going to go push the enemy spawn because they know, for example, uh let's say they know that I'm always going to be with the team. And now, I'm going to try to take a very aggressive and wide lurk, pushing into the spawn, being on their part of the map.

So, this time, I'm not just sitting here and waiting for their push, I'm actually trying to be on their face, trying to fight them this time. Tip number 13, learn how to be a passive lurk and at the same time break the enemy abilities. We're staying in the bottom middle, and there is a turret here, and they know we're a lurking. So, we just come, we break the turret, and we just fall back. So, in that case, in the enemy's POV, you're going to be lurking, and they're going to be very scared of you being somewhere in the kitchen area.

So, that's why learn how to also lurk and just break the abilities and create extra pressure for the enemies even without trying to find a kill. Tip number 14, learn how to use the information that your team is provides you to make a successful lurk. What do I mean by that? Let's imagine we're lurking towards A. So, what we need from our team on B, we need to understand how good the pressure has been done and did anyone over rotate it or not.

Are they doing anything on B? Let's imagine we're doing the pressure on B and there is nothing is happening towards B. There is only Viper is staying here. That's most likely means that there is a lot of people towards A. So, in that case, it's too early to lurk and I don't think you will find a value from lurking in that situation because people is just going to expect you here. Tip number 15, make sure you have a lineups for the lurk.

What do I mean by that? You need to have two types of lineups. First lineups is to break the enemy abilities. So, you buy your own, you're breaking the enemies abilities even without shooting them. Second types of lineups is no matter where you're lurking from. For example, let's say we are a Viper on the bottom mid and we are planted the spike towards B. We need to know how to throw a lineup from here to hit the lineup here no matter what because if you only lurk when we don't have a molly, I don't think that's always good.

So, you need to lurk also when you have a abilities in your pocket, but for that you need to have a lineups from a different spots to make sure that you'll help your team even when you are not there. Thank you so much everyone for watching the video. I think now you're going to be lurking like me. Please leave a like, leave a comment, subscribe to the channel and see everyone on the next video. Bye.
