Literally, anybody could make this video. You can edit this yourself. You can hire out an editor. He's not really editing them. Again, either it is

will make. So, there's generally a four-step method that will work for this strategy. Number one is strategic YouTube content. And do not post short-form videos. Other creators might tell you to do that, but if your goal is to make money and especially like evergreen income, don't start with that, please. I've seen it

I have 50 million long form views on YouTube and I wanted to share Five Lessons that I've learned in the past 6 years from from doing that number one is to just start my first video looked like this it had uh I think one edit in it I didn't know what a thumbnail was so uh just took a screenshot of the video and uploaded that as thumbnail it's complete piece of trash but I did post that video and then the next week I posted another video and then another and another and another and six years later haven't missed a week and that's really what I think a lot of success comes down to on YouTube is maybe you've been thinking about starting for a while you haven't done it or you haven't done it consistently that's probably why you're struggling you watch a bunch of videos like this but you never just stop come up with an idea make a stinking video that's a piece of garbage and post it anyways and move on that is where most people get stuck it's this analysis paralysis it's overthinking it's what do I make my banner what do I make my channel name what do I make um you know the the perfect thumbnail and yes all of those things will help you having uh you know understanding of thumbnails and titles and researching stuff that can definitely help you but you need to get reps in it's like you know Mr Beast says even though who knows about him but the first like 100 videos they're really just practice you need to learn all these skills like you don't just go out to a basketball court and start draining threes you need to practice if you want to be successful and you want to start getting them into the hoop you need to actually put in some reps and that's what a lot of YouTube is especially at the beginning it's just picking something uh and going with it and I think we always try to make sure we're making the right decision but sometimes making a decision is the right decision making a video that looking back on maybe it wasn't the best thing to do but at least you did something at least you made progress at least you know something happened so yeah uh just start but then try to get 1% better I follow this system right here which is make a video again that's not great it's a video get feedback on that video hopefully from somebody who actually knows what they're talking about or from statistics on that video if it doesn't get a good click-through rate or whatever or you know you look back at it and you you cringe yourself to death some type of feedback make Improvement off of that which is maybe my thumbnail sucked this week I'm going to work on thumbnails maybe my titles or my sound design or you know the video or whatever it is spend a week obsessing about that thing get 1% better at it then Implement whatever changes you made and post again and go through that cycle of just getting 1% better every single week and the thing is you can improve by so much more than 1% if you obsess about let's say thumbnails for like an entire week and you're just just watching tons of videos on thumbnails and then you spend 3 hours or 6 hours making the perfect thumbnail you're going to have that knowledge for the rest of your life all that stuff you're going to be better at thumbnails for the rest of your life because you obsessed about it for a week and if you can do that multiple weeks you can do that for two months out of the year you obsessed about thumbnails you're going to be amazing at thumbnails in like a year and if you do that with video editing you're going to be amazing at video editing in a couple years yes it takes time and it takes reps and you're going to make trash but the thing is you got to keep improving just a little bit at a time and eventually you will become this person that you're like wow I can make you know good videos now now people now Brands reach out to me to make commercials for them like what I'd never picked up a camera before I started YouTube and now I like produce commercials for people all because I got 1% better 1% better 1% better and that's actually um what I try to teach in my cohort a little bit of a self ad here I'm running my YouTube cohort this is the last one we're going to do for a while cuz I have a lot of traveling coming up but this is where I teach in-depth everything I know about YouTube over the past six years and how I run my Channel with half a million subscribers that makes me a really decent amount of money in under 5 hours a week by making systems following the systems getting really good at things Outsourcing everything you need to know about how to make money on YouTube including how I've made over $5,000 from a Channel with 84 subscribers um and how you can do the same simply by by understanding YouTube and how it to make it work for you I am super passionate about this if you want to join there's a link down below it's only open for a little bit so kind of hour orever if you want to join you don't have to I'm trying to give a lot of information here for free as well but uh if you want to skip like years of struggling that I had to go through then then I think it's the best course out there but really one or ideally more than 1% better make money faster I lost money for the first almost 3 years on YouTube and looking back that was a huge mistake on my part and partly it was just because I didn't know that you could actually make money with a small Channel on YouTube I had never like looked into that side of it I was really you know focused on making better videos and stuff but I never looked at the business aspect of YouTube and yeah that cost me tens of thousands of dollars at least now I know so many different ways to make money on YouTube there's like six main ways that I teach on how to make money on YouTube one that I love especially when you're starting out if your goal is just to make money is like affiliate stuff like I talked about with that Channel with 80 4 Subs you know that one made over $3,000 the first video on a brand new channel just because of affiliate marketing which is you know somebody sends you a product and you make a video on that product and then you get you know 10 20% Commission on everything that sells from that video and the thing that's so cool about that is YouTube is like the second largest search engine I believe and so when somebody's typing in especially more expensive products it actually works better and you make more money with expensive products but if they're like typing in let's say a sauna and they're not sure if they should buy it or not they'll go to you and get an actual person telling them yes it's okay to buy this it's a good thing I've checked it out it's real go ahead and spend your money and then they'll buy through that link a lot of the time they're looking for that third person to give them an honest review and tell them it's okay to buy and so even if you're a nobody you can still make money from day one with you know dedicated review videos like that now if you're doing a different style then a lot of times you can make your own product I didn't have my own product for almost 5 years on YouTube before I you know made my own courses or cohort in in this case you can start with a lead magnet from day one where you put it in your description it relates to your audience it gives them value and then you have those email addresses so when you decide to make some type of product you have a hundred or a thousand people who are interested in that thing that you can Market to and make money that way and that's something you should have from day one again if you have one video that you know does well or even if no videos do well you can still make money that way another strategy that I used at the beginning and a lot of creators um do is just making highquality videos If you make high quality videos you can either reach out to companies or they will start to reach out to you and you can make ads for them or you can work um they'll send you product and you'll shoot product that they will actually post on their Instagram and this is one way that I started making money right from the beginning was just putting myself out there and then eventually Brands reaching out to me to ask me to make highquality videos for them to use for their own purposes Focus on the 20% the idea of the video the thumbnail the title which is like the packaging and then the first 30 seconds of the video matter so much more than pretty much everything else and yet most people focus on that other 80% the making the video making sure it's you know perfect the entire way through scripting everything out word for word where really if your idea doesn't match with your audience or doesn't match with you know people out there in general or if it doesn't have a good title and thumbnail so that they actually click on the video it doesn't matter what's inside or if it's boring for the GetGo cuz you're like hey welcome to my channel make sure you subscribe and uh my dog just is over there and I've got a coffee like nobody cares they just want the information that they clicked on the video for so making sure you focus on the things that are actually important before you focus on everything else that's what's going to make the difference between you know having videos that actually take off and Reach people because they're engaging ideas that are told in a very interesting way in the thumb Sparks curiosity um the only way to answer that question is by clicking on the video and then you click on the video and it's an engaging personal story that promises you know the payoff from what they were curious about that's what's actually going to make the difference so focus on the 20 or or more like 10% of things that actually matter don't teach especially with education channels but really all channels on YouTube a lot of people will try to tell people what to do they'll be like if you want to save 10K fast this is what you should do if you want to learn how to invest this is what you should do if you want to lower your anxiety this is what you should do uh or even travel like if you if you're going to travel to this place these are the things you should see and sometimes those are okay to mix in but where um you get that video that really pops off and connects with people is when you talk about your own personal experience and this was a huge transformation for me and where I saw a lot of growth is when I changed from this talking at people telling people what to do to just living more more myself and sharing my own uh mistakes so like one of my top videos is how to save 10K fast and the reason that one did well is because I talked about how I save 10K fast and I promised that right at the beginning of the video and then I walk through all the things that I did in order to achieve that and that became one of my top videos ever and ever since I kind of learned that lesson with every point I do in a video I try to make sure like this one these are things that I have actually done through experience trial and error the mistakes that I've made and this is what has actually led to success and you can do with that what you will you don't have to copy what I do in fact you probably shouldn't kind of an idiot but if you can just learn from this person that that person's perspective especially you don't tell people what to do just share your own wins struggles your own point of view your own unique circumstances even if you're vlogging your day instead of looking for this amazing story to tell just look for that that little thing the beauty in just sitting in your room and never leaving your apartment like you can use constraints that you have and your own uh unique experiences even if they're negative to be your unfair advantage on everybody else cuz everybody has struggles we can all read the same book there can be 20 reviews on the same book but you have your own unique perspective if if you're not giving that unique perspective then why would somebody watch your book review versus anybody else's book review so you have to give your own unique personal takes and that was like kind of hard for me especially at the beginning cuz I was like why would anybody care what I think why would anybody care how I do things things um but people want to relate to somebody who's actually been through it and that's where it could be a little bit scary cuz you are you know kind of opening up to people who are more upt to judge you when you're talking about personal stuff you've been through but also that's where you can connect with people and actually build you know real relationships with your audience and also be more true to yourself so if you found this video helpful then you will love this video which is $8,000 worth of YouTube advice inside of 7 Minutes uh see you next week
