It smells like a bull trap right now. A huge move higher today that kept on melting up and up and up. We're way over bought right now. That means bull traps are definitely on the table for tomorrow. But careful though, because the trick to finding a good bull trap begins with a good bear trap. And I'll talk about why I say that in tonight's video. So before you go shorting this right now, be careful. Watch this video because I'm going to outline two very specific setups that will qualify that beautiful bull trap for us on tomorrow's live stream.
So charts are ready. We'll make sure everyone has a game plan for tomorrow morning. Let's dive right in, put these charts back together again, get some green going for Tuesday. The Nasdaq's ready. Oh, the S&P's always ready. I've got three clues tonight telling me where that perfect bull trap sets up for us to make some money together on tomorrow's live stream. The first clue, in fact, the first two clues right now are here on the hourly time frame.
I like to use the hourly chart and the daily chart sometimes for direction. It's pretty obvious right now the buyers are in control of momentum. That will be my directional bias for tomorrow. Also too, look at the size of that move right now. Anytime I see a big move like that, as we say on the live stream, the 38.2 retracement anchored off the legs that break out, those are two key levels for us. I got 572. I got 375 here. big clue here for tomorrow.
But it's not the most important clue right now. Let's now drill down to a faster time frame. The money is made on the faster time frames in our live stream. By the way, that's a 4,000 tick chart there in case you're watching for the first time right now. And that's the 21 EMA in case you're curious. There's that big move right there, right? Look at that huge, huge move. So we know those 38.2 retracements are on our radar right now, but I'll tell you though anytime we see a big move like this, there are always two different types of strategies I look for the following day.
Both of these two strategies have a very specific bull trap and a bear trap tied to them as well because as said earlier, the key to a good bull trap right now is to begin with a good bear trap. So, let's cover both of these two strategies. We'll cover the first one here on the Nasdaq. We'll cover the second strategy on the S&P a bit later on on this video. Now, what do I mean by the key to a good bull trap begins with a good bear trap?
Well, the key to finding a good bull trap is to dig a bit lower, get some bears chasing after it, trap those bears in, and then run back up to re- test the high. Now, why is that important? Well, because if I want any chance at selling a bull trap off that high right now, I need to have some buyers in this thing. Anyone who buys down here, they're going to what? They're going to sell up there. They'll take their profit off at that high.
So, once I begin the process with a nice juicy bear trap, hopefully around that range we see right there for a breakout pullback, anyone who buys low right now, they're taking their profit off at that high. So, one of my favorite ways to time a bull trap begins with getting buyers in on a bear trap, running up to retest the high, and then you tell me, is this a good place to buy? No, right? Want to buy low, not buy high.
Bad spot to be a buyer. We should have profit targets now coming off on anyone who bought the bear trap down there. Now, watch closely. The way you sell a bull trap is very specific. I want to see lower lows in price. I want to get above a recent high like that in a strong candle closing back below that moving average. Now, watch closely. Biggest almost always happens is is after a shallow pullback, a retest of that high, a bull trap off that high, we almost always get a deeper pullback afterwards.
I call these double dip pullbacks. Think about a Fibonacci extension, 1 2 3 move. I call these 1 2 3 moves on our live stream. Think about a measured move. Go 100. Go 138.2. Go 161.8. Really, anything more than a two-legged pullback is deep enough for me tomorrow. Now, hopefully that will line up with that 38.2 level we saw earlier on the hourly chart, right? Big move 38.2, and then we can do it again. As we pull back now, look for that bear trap down here, squeeze those stops, and run back up to retest the high.
Now, again, in order for me to have a good bull trap up here, I need to begin with a good bear trap. I need to make sure everyone who bought down here, I want to make sure they are selling their way out at that high. Then, I can look for that bear trap off that high right now. So, to summarize right now, I want to see us pull back to one of these key support levels right now. Pull back deeper. I'm not going to sell on a retest right here.
We're not pulling back far enough yet. I need to get this pulling back far to the point where I can rely on buyers getting in. I like the idea of trapping in bears. Let's go back to retest the high, take our profit on the bear trap, trap in some rookies chasing after it. Again, it's called a crown reversal short off the high, lower low in price, above that swing high, close below that 21. Now, that bull trap will take some off of course at the low, but the goal is is a 1 2 3 and dump that sucker, right?
Take some profit off at that low. And again, think about that 1 2 3 move, the measured move, the 138.2, the 161.8. The deeper the better. Ideally, line it up around that 38.2 level. Once that pulls back, now everyone thinks we're bearish, but we're not bearish. We're simply pulling back after this huge move going higher. Any pullback right now will likely be seen as a buying opportunity. So, trap in those rookie bears, squeeze those stops, and you know me, right?
I always like to add to my winners on the way back up to retest the high, back to retest the high. Anybody who buys the bear trap or adds more below swings, where's their profit targets? They're back up at that high. And again, same thing, right? Wait for price to pull back, try once, try twice. It's that crown reversal. But that dump back down again. Again, a good bull trap must begin with a good bear trap because the only way bull traps work in these conditions is if buyers are getting out on the retest, right, guys?
Now, keep in mind, too, I'll be trading this tomorrow morning on my live stream. I'll be sharing screens, calling trades. That way, you can learn this bull trap bear trap combination and trade this right along with me. So, guys, if you're not making the money you want right now, even worse, if you're making a bunch of mental mistakes, giving back all your gains right now, blowing your accounts right now, come join me on the live stream and I'll show you guys how to time these entries properly.
That way, you can make this money right along with us. What I'll do is, guys, I'll put a link down bottom of the video description of the video. I'll put a pop-up here for you, upper right-hand corner. Pause the video for a second and hit that link that popped up there for tomorrow's live stream because trading is so much easier, it's less stressful, it's so more so much more enjoyable we do it together in real time on the live stream.
You'll know where the best entries are, how to hold those runners a lot longer, and more importantly, you'll finally get the confidence and consistency you've been missing in your trading. Guys, I have almost 20 years experience and my live stream is the missing piece you've been looking for. So, again, grab that link down below the video or grab that pop-up there for you, upper right-hand corner, and I'll see you tomorrow morning, 8:30 Eastern Time, for the pre-market prep.
In the meantime though, let's keep going and prepping for tomorrow. We talked about that shallow pullback, how that bear trap was necessary to get that bull trap off the high. Then we get that deeper pullback. What do we call these? We call these double dip pullbacks, right? First pullback shallow, second pullback is much deeper. Now, second pullback here, be aware. We often times see a really deep pullback on the second pullback of that double dip sequence, right?
First pullback is shallow, second pullback very strong, very deep to attract in more buyers. Just be aware of this though. During that pullback, during that 1 2 3 move, that Fibonacci calculation we use on our live stream, I oftentimes will get a bear trap down here. I'd like to take profit off at the underbelly of that first leg lower because every once in a while, I would say probably 30 out of 100 of trades I take on these will go back down to retest that low.
Now, again, I like to use these Fibonacci extensions, 1 2 3 move to find the level. So, on that note, use it again. 1 2 3 move to find the level. What I want is I want to combine that Fibonacci extension somewhere down below the low of that move right there. I call this the money zone, right? The money zone. The money zone is is below that low, but imagine now 1 2 3, imagine now your 138.2 is right there, right? That's the money zone right there.
It's right below the low there, and again, it uses that 1 2 3 Fibonacci calculation. Again, once we go back to retest that level now, now we know anybody who tries to sell down here will probably be the victim of the bear trap, right? Cuz again, it's such a big move going higher here. So, as we make our run back down again, same thing. I'm trapping those bears in. We call these retest trades on our live stream. These are some of our favorite trades on the live stream.
We buy the deep pullback, take some profit off at the lowest point of that first leg. Hopefully, it keeps going for us back to retest the high, but be aware about 30 out of 100 of these, they will hold that low, they'll go 1 2 3 move back down again, and then we got them again. Buy the retest, buy the double bottom, right? In fact, write that down. Anytime we have a big bull market, deep pullback, retest the the low.
I mean, there's no guaranteed winners, but if this is a 1 2 3 move down, that 1 2 3 lower, I mean, come on, right? Those are almost guaranteed winners. We see a lot of those on our live stream, right? So, buying a retest after a big move, and again, be very careful right now. We have not pulled back far enough to qualify for a bear trap yet, right? This may keep on melting higher here the rest of the evening tonight, right?
So, be careful. Don't be forcing those bull traps right now. Now, that was one of two different strategies I can look for for a bull trap tomorrow. Let's go grab the S&P though, because the S&P very similar. The S&P will give us a bit more advanced strategy, but I think could be a lot more lucrative tomorrow morning on our live stream. Now, again, on the hourly chart, I like to begin the hourly chart, right? That gives me direction.
It's pretty obvious right now the buyers have control. And like I said earlier in Discord, I marked the breakout legs, and that gives me now that zone for our 38.2 retracement. Now, we'll teach more of this tomorrow morning on the live stream. The 38.2's are very good levels right now at 7810, 7795 and change. We'll keep an eye on those on the pullback here, because once we go down to our faster time frame, like if we're not going to use the hourly chart for our entries, it's the 7,000 tick chart.
The money is made on the tick charts in our live stream. And again, you can easily see for yourself a huge move going higher. Now again, we're way overbought right now, so I definitely like the idea of a bull trap. But like I said earlier, the first of two strategies for tomorrow is is a relatively deep pullback here, trap those bears in maybe around that gap that we see back there, maybe around that breakout pullback.
Doesn't matter to me. I want to go a bit lower though, right? Give me a deeper pullback because I need to get buyers excited about this. Because once those buyers get in and the bears get trapped and I go back to retest the high, again, I hope this makes sense, right? The only way I can successfully pick tops in a market like this is I have to have some buyers getting out, right? If everyone's waiting for a pullback, there won't be any profit taking up there.
I need profit taking at that high, makes sense, right? So, when buyers buy down here, they're selling up here, I can then trapping those bulls with with a crime reversal pattern and then look for that deeper pullback, right? That that double dip pullback. The first double dip is small one, second dip is a larger one. That's that 1 2 3, trap them in and run back up. And again, back to retest the high, another bull trap off the high right there, right?
That is the first of two game plans. We call those double dip pullbacks on our live stream. The second game plan is a little bit more advanced, but honestly, I think it's easier money once you learn how this works. And of course, that is a range market, right? Very common after a big move like this, especially with the UN summit on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. We have We have Trump and Xi meeting at the UN, potentially they got some Iran stuff going on at the UN this week.
So, wouldn't surprise me if we start to stall out and go sideways here. Now, if you like the idea of a bull trap, this is exactly the scenario we hope for tomorrow because what do ranges do? They like to rotate, don't they? If If you watch my videos on YouTube, you know this already, right? But if you don't know already though, a trading range likes to rotate. It goes up, down, up, down. What we do is we use things like symmetry, the amount above, the amount below, right?
The amount above, the amount below. We use that symmetry for entries and exits. And of course, every once in a while, we'll see a triangle. Not every time, but triangles are also very helpful as well. Ranges like to rotate. So, if we understand that way that ranges work, and we know we're way high up right now. And again, this range may not be right here, okay? The range may be a bit higher here at some point tomorrow or overnight.
So, be aware of that. I don't exactly know where the range is right now. What I'd like to do though is once I see a range though, then let's wait for that pullback. Let's get down around some of these key areas of support down here. And just like on the Nasdaq, let's trap in some bears here, right? Get those bears chasing after it. Not a good place to sell, right? Because we're so bullish, you're selling low and you're selling right below a range right there, right?
So, what you do? You trap the bears in, bear trap. You use that symmetry technique now to tell you where price wants to go next. And remember, whenever price is rotating inside a range like this, you want to get in below the swings, right? Again, it's a bear trap, below moving average. It'll be an add-on getting in below swings. There's oftentimes a gap right there. We like to use price action gaps like those orange rectangles.
Those are all we call price action gaps. On our live stream, I would love to grab an entry off a price action gap there on the live stream tomorrow morning. That'd be a great trade. But, the goal again is is to run up, take out that pendulum swing, and then what? Yeah, then we now are way over bought. We now can look for that rotation back down again. Now, earlier I talked about the specific type of entry, which I call a crown reversal pattern, right?
It's we go pull back, buyers once, lower low, buyers twice, and we're selling above that high. Again, the beginning of a good bull trap is a good bear trap, right? It rotates off that low, we take our targets, buyers chase after it, and we sell back down again. Now, be aware, if this keeps going, right? If this really keeps on ripping and we break through that pendulum swing, I am not trying to call a top on this. What I'll do is I'll be trying to buy breakout pullbacks off that range, right?
So, if we don't see a clear reversal off that what I call pendulum swing high over here, if it blows right on through it like it didn't care about that level, we'll probably wind up buying breakout pullbacks tomorrow on the live stream. But, be aware though, if we do run up and we start seeing No, for example, another variation of a bull trap is a V top, right? V tops are pretty common, too. We may not get that pretty one, beautiful two, right?
Like that. Often times what happens is we'll go up and then kick back and start grinding down like that. Okay, I call these V tops, basically V tops, right? Up and then V top back down again. These are even easier to short, in my opinion, because now momentum now turns over and what I'll do is I'll mark a trend line off that low, I'll find that channel up off that high, right? See that? And then find some prior swings and the most important thing is again is to sell above a prior swing on a V top play like this.
I like to use a top of that channel along with above that prior high. So it could be a V top set up like this for a bull trap or it could be a cram reversal pattern like I showed you there a couple times already on this video. And again, the amount above, the amount below, that puts us down here. That's our profit target on that. And again, we look for the same thing, right? Trap those bears and then rotate back up again.
Ranges like to rotate by the bear trap, sell the bull trap. Again, two ways to find those, V tops and cram reversal patterns. And buy the bear trap and trade the rotation back and forth. Now, let's kick this up one more notch because that's the basic stuff. Here's the more advanced tactic. We may wind up going sideways here overnight. And instead of going lower first, we may go higher first, right? In other words, break out, we go higher first.
Now, we know already we're way high up right now. I'd like to look for a bull trap up here, but what do I need first though? Range first. Absolutely must be an obvious range first. Again, if we keep grinding higher, we're not good yet, right? Wait for a pullback, trap in, retest, and then sell the retest, right? We're not there yet, but if we see a range here, and if that range goes higher first, what I can then do is is use those overhead highs right now.
There's one big one there at 7850 here on the S&P. Use those overhead highs. We're not going to pick the top on this, right? That's how you lose money. Trade what you see, not what you think. What I see right now is a very bull market. I think we're good for a bull trap, but again, I can't trade what I think. Wait until I see signs of the buyers struggling. Lower low in price. Get above that high, that's our short. That's our bull trap above the high here.
Take the amount above, project down below. Bingo, that creates our target. And also now tells us now where to look for what. Yeah, where to find that bear trap. Now, if we're lucky, it'll really run nice and low, get down around these key levels of support, like breakout pullbacks or these price action gaps. I don't care. What I want is I want this move lower to feel like a reversal, right? If it feels like a reversal, it'll probably act like a bear trap, right?
A lot of rookies will come in, they'll chase after it. We can squeeze their stops, we can buy right into their pain and go right back up to retest that high again. So, one final scenario where we can find a bull trap will be up above those highs right there. And again, only we're doing that tomorrow if we see a very clear range. So, now we know a couple different very specific setups for a bull trap tomorrow morning.
What do you think though? What's your game plan for Tuesday? Let me know in the comments section below. And while you're down there, grab that link for tomorrow because that's my plan for tomorrow.
