Other creators might tell you to do that, but if your goal is to make money and especially like evergreen income, don't start with that, please. I've seen it

You will never make money on YouTube until you do this. I have worked with hundreds of creators and there is just one thing that seems to separate those who make it, those who make money from those who don't. And that's what I want to explain to you in this video cuz I see so many people who are in that 500 subscribers, 1,000, 5,000 subscribers and they're struggling. They quit before they get the chance to actually make money. So, there's one thing that is absolutely necessary in order to make money on YouTube, and that one thing is to treat it like a

So, there's one thing that is absolutely necessary in order to make money on YouTube, and that one thing is to treat it like a business. Stop treating it like a hobby, but treat it like a business. And I want to explain exactly what that actually means. What I see keeping a lot of people stuck and a lot of people from actually seeing success on YouTube is because they are chasing success on YouTube. They're treating YouTube like a hobby. they're not showing up consistently.
If you think of a hobby, like you do it when you can, you do it when it's fun, but you don't like do it very disciplined, right? And then you also don't have a lot of strategy because it is a hobby. It's something that's fun, something you like to do. You do what you're passionate about. All of that is great. But when it comes to making money, you don't always do what you're most passionate about. And when you're treating it like a business, what do you do?
You show up consistently. even when you're in Pennsylvania in Amish country, you show up. The thing is that I see so many small creators struggle with is if you're not making money on YouTube, it's really hard for you to commit to treat it like a business to invest into it, to invest in yourself, to take the time to sacrifice. And a lot of people if they don't think that they can make a lot of money or they don't think they're close to making money on YouTube, they don't treat it like a business and they just do what is fun when is fun and then eventually they end up giving up when they don't really see a lot of progress.
And so that's why you need to make money as soon as you possibly can on YouTube. Obviously, most of us would like to do that. I'm sure you would like to make money a lot sooner. But here's the thing. You don't need to wait until you're even monetized to make a lot of money. Most people equate going viral and getting a lot of views to making money on YouTube. But like you need probably 75,000 uh plus views on average in order to make like a full-time income on YouTube.
And that's extremely hard to do. Like I'm honestly not great at going like mega viral. Uh, I've only had a handful of videos over a million views on my main channel and that's been doing it for like seven years. So, like I'm not great at that, but I am good at making a lot of money without a lot of views. And that's something that anybody can do. And so, if you're always waiting to make money and you're not treating it seriously until you start making money, you're not going to start making money until you treat it seriously.
You need to treat it like a business first. And that means having a business plan. businesses make money or they go out of business. If your YouTube channel doesn't have a way to make money, you'll probably quit and go out of business. You need to treat this like a natural business. So, what is your business strategy? Do you have one? They're generally like eight uhish ways to make money on YouTube. This is something we spent hours on each one of these uh in my cohort, which I'm actually about to launch for the last time in a couple weeks.
So, if you're interested, whatever. There's links and stuff, but you need to pick one and then find a way to make money. And if you think you need a large audience in order to do that, one of my students, Natasha, went from making nothing to making a dollar per subscriber per month with about 14,000 subscribers. So, you can do the math on that. And before she actually had a monetization strategy, she made like zero. She made like a $100 a month.
Um, so pretty much nothing when you calculate any time in or expenses or anything. But that's just the difference of having a strategy versus not. If you look at one of my smaller channels with 600 subscribers, that one's made $40,000 in the past two years and it's not monetized. If I was waiting till I got sponsorships, if I was waiting till YouTube paid me money, I would just never make money. I would have quit making videos cuz I wasn't making any money and it takes effort to make videos or it costs money to have them edited and I would have just quit, right?
So, you need to start with a monetization strategy as soon as humanly possible. If you want to know what some of those are, I have an eight ways to make money on YouTube uh kind of miniourse down below you can check out. It's totally free. So, what else does a business do? And a business invests in itself. Let's say you can spend $1,000 on your channel. You buy a camera, you buy a laptop or whatever. If you have a monetization strategy, let's say you have a a high ticket product that costs $1,000, you just need to make one sale in order to make your money back on that camera.
And in order to get one sale, you might need to get in front of a couple hundred to a couple thousand people if they are extremely targeted, probably just a couple hundred. And you can do that with under a hundred subscribers. The problem with money on YouTube is not the amount of views you're getting. It's that you have no ways to monetize the views you're getting. You can do it so many ways. You can do it with affiliates.
You can do it with your own products. You can do it with one-on-one coaching. But the problem is some people have tried those and they just don't have good strategy for them. They don't know what their audience wants. And that is like a whole another thing. Or they are targeting views instead of money. See, if you're targeting views and you get 10,000 views on your channel, you have you have maybe 3 or 4,000 subscribers, you get 10,000 views on this video, it makes like 20 bucks in AdSense, it's like nothing.
And you don't really have anything to sell. then those 10,000 views are worthless because they're broad. Maybe they weren't super targeted. But if you create a amazing offer, whatever that is, whether that's affiliates uh or it's your own product or one of the many other ways um that I teach to monetize, then you only need like a 100 people or a thousand people that are extremely targeted for you to make hundreds or thousands of dollars.
For instance, just yesterday, my student Natasha had one out of four people who clicked on her link buy a product that she made commission on. I think she made like $700 yesterday when she averages like a,000 views per video. You don't need to get thousands, tens of thousands of views per video. You need to get in front of the right people. And that is a business strategy. It is because this is how I make money and this is my ideal customer and so I need to get in front of my ideal customer.
I don't need everybody else because they don't really pay me. I need my ideal customer and then that will not only help these people solve their problem, but it also help me make money. And so treating YouTube like a business is a absolute game changer. Businesses have systems. Businesses reinvest into growth. Businesses have business plans. They invest in themselves. They play the long game. They know that maybe they're not here right now, but over the next year, if they follow these seven steps, they'll be in a position to make a profit.
When you're a business, you continue to show up. If you don't open the doors, you're not going to make any money. So, you have to continue to put in the work so that you can open the doors, people can come in and buy your thing. I don't know who needed to hear this, but it's something that I'm really passionate about. Um, and if you want to work with me directly, you can join the wait list uh down below. I'm going to launch my last cohort um for like the next 6 months cuz having a baby and taking some time off.
So, uh there's a link down below. I teach all of this extremely in-depth. We've had like five people leave their jobs in the past couple years just through actually following this. Generally, those who like actually commit and follow um see success. Those who just treat it like a hobby don't. So, thanks for watching. I'll see you.
