Opening (first 30 seconds)
Just letting you know if you're not walking after your lift, you're leaving gains on the table. Your body is in fat burning mode after you lift. So, burning fat and losing fat isn't the same thing. So, your body can use energy from two different sources. Carbs, aka glycogen, and fat. So, during high-intensity exercises like running or weightlifting, your body will use energy from carbs. And during lower-intensity exercises like walking, your body will use energy from fat. So, yes, technically you can be burning fat when you're walking, but that doesn't mean that you're losing body fat. Because to actually use body fat, you need to be using more energy than what you're consuming. AKA calorie

Every word below is the caption track YouTube publishes for this video, pulled from the video itself and reproduced unchanged. It is not Prepublish's writing, not a summary, and not a re-transcription: it is the video's own published captions. So, yes, technically you can be burning fat when you're walking, but that doesn't mean that you're losing body fat. Because to actually use body fat, you need to be using more energy than what you're consuming. AKA calorie deficit. Now, should you walk before or after you lift weights? So, if your goal is to build muscle and get stronger, I would recommend doing your weights first and lifting afterwards. And not because it puts you into a fat-burning zone, but because you want to prioritize your energy for your lifts.
For example, if you do a 5K run before your lift, you're not going to have as much energy when it comes to your workout. If you want to do a 5-minute walk for your warm-up, then that's completely fine. It's not going to kill you. So, walking after lifting, great. Knock yourself out. But you're not leaving gains on the table if you don't.
The words are the caption track's own and nothing is reworded or re-transcribed. Paragraph breaks are placed between sentences so the text reads as prose.
